The house is a new, light and bright 3br, 2 bathroom home. On offer is an unfurnished bedroom, main bathroom all to yourself and I have converted the third bedroom into a study/lounge area so that there are 2 separate living areas. Ducted heating/air conditioning, all new appliances in kitchen and laundry. Internet included in rent. The bedroom has a built in robe and other storage is available. The house is a 1min walk from the new shopping centre opening in July/August 2018 which hosts a supermarket, gym, cafe/bakery, gastro pub, butcher, etc and allied health precinct. Googong is a new township, 7-8 mins drive behind Queanbeyan. 25-30mins from Manuka, Woden and Tuggeranong. It has a nice safe community feel and friendly vibe.
Hi there, My name is Zach and I'm a 29yr old IT professional looking for an ensuite room to rent. I am a clean housemate and I usually keep to myself, either playing games, watching Netflix or going to the gym, but also enjoy a chat. Hope to speak with you soon!
Perfect Location! Located in the heart of Bungendore village. Surrounded by friendly cafes, local pubs, beautiful galleries, pizzerias and not to mention one of the best French restaurants in the Canberra region. This home is the perfect village lifestyle living, with all the facilities at your doorstep.. your local supermarket, GP, Physio just to name a few. This property is absolute village lifestyle Bungendore and an easy commute to Canberra.
Easy going, I like to keep things tidy but nothing crazy. Looking for chill, like minded people. I am always down for making new friends and hanging out but also love my own space and will respect yours!
I am from Cowra NSW. I am a Plant Operator working on Ellerton Drive Project in Queanbeyan. I'm easy to get a long with can cook and I don't party much. My weekends in Summer is spent on Wyangala Dam with our boat with my family and friends.
I'm offering a room in my own home in the quiet village of Bungendore - 44 km from Canberra and 20km from Queanbeyan. I currently have an ANU researcher staying with me who will leave some time over the next few months. The house is only a few years old and is passive solar and also generates its own electricity. Although in the village I've been able to live on my tank water for the 18 months I've been here - so if you are in to long hot showers this probably isn't the house for you. I have two small dogs (one belongs to my daughter and the other belongs to a work colleague - which I took on as they couldn't find accommodation with them). I also have two cats that have their own run and are contained to one end of the house. Public transport options to and from Bungendore are limited. There are buses and also trains between Bungendore and Queanbeyan but there aren't many so you would need your own car.
The room is in a 3 bedroom townhouse and is located at the front of the complex. It has 2 decent sized living areas and is very quiet. The townhouse is fairly new and well kept with ducted heating and cooling. The room available is good sized with a built in cupboard which had plenty of room for all my clothes and shoes, you will also have a place for your car in the double garage. The townhouse has an ensuite in one of the bedrooms so you will be sharing the main bathroom with only one other person. The internet is unlimited and is an extra $30 per month.
The house is a little run down but has the basic essentials. Cheap rent and no locked in contract so you can stay as little or as long as you like. Close proximity to CBD, train station, airport, Canberra city, Canberra Outlet Centre, etc. Enjoy country living with city benefits.
Looking for my own flat/studio/granny flat or room in an existing share place in the Queanbeyan/Oaks Estate area for myself and my little ten year old dog (left in photo). Budget is max. $230 per week. Also considering a team up for a 2 bedroom flat/house, with total rent max. $460. Preferably within walking/easy cycling distance to the Queanbeyan CBD, or on a bus route. Also close to parks/river for walking Billy. I am the event manager for a large annual Sydney based Festival (I work remotely from home). I am friendly, sociable and like a chat, but also like my quiet time. Qualities in a flatmate: Easy going, no dramas, not an 'at home partier', clean and tidy.
Situated on a quiet street, this big 4 bedroom house is a great place to unwind after work. a Large patio, formal dining area and furnished bedroom awaits you. Central gas heating keeps the winter chill away and plenty of storage space is available with a detached second garage on the property. If you think this is for you, give us a call or a text.
We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and our parents have finally sold up the house, so we are looking for somewhere to live...from September 2018. Claire has been renting/share-housing since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. A simple description of of us is boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna-bed times who enjoy walkies. Claire is your average human - talks, exercises out of necessity, watches TV (mostly ABC), likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker enthusiast, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and reclaiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri night-Sun) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband + Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with the occasional visit by Luke. We would like an unfurnished room, and do have some additional furniture so happy to share or loose it. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra/Queanbeyan, commutable to Deakin. Preferably we’d like you to like indoor dogs because Chilli hates the outdoors. There is the possibility for Chilli to live with his dad + fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
I'm a responsible, easy going Engineer and really I'm just hoping my future housemates don't leave all of the housework to me. I'm single, come with the most adorable little rag-doll cat you'll ever see and I mostly spend my spare time relaxing with Netflix, movies and games. I'm happy to cook & socialise as well, although I generally keep to myself.
Seeking a large room, in a warm, well insulated(!), friendly house in Canberra! Also interested in teaming up with others to find a nice place. I'm an experienced house-sharer, work full time, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I'm a creative type, enjoy a good conversation, playing guitar, photography / videography, and getting out into nature for a decent walk. Currently in a one bedroom apartment paying a silly amount of rent on my own. Want to reduce my living costs, and join some other likeminded folk in a warm, comfortable, spacious place that's homely. Open to teaming up with a few others and getting a place, if the personalities all work. What i need is a large unfurnished room to fit my queen sized bed, shelving and large desk, or a seperate area / room / study for shelving / desk. Also have a car, so will need a space to park that. Have a small bunch of furniture - queen sized bed, couch x2, fridge, microwave, bookshelves, 46" TV, stereo, bookshelves, etc... can be used if needed, otherwise will be put into storage / sold. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
My name is Jinny working full time at child care. Recently moved to Canberra from Brisbane. And i am from south south Korea. I am a dog lover and like cooking drinking watching drama movies hanging out with people learning new languages.
I'm a pretty chilled guy, if I'm not working you'll probably find me gaming or binging Netflix, I'm fairly social but do like my own space, love to cook and I'm pretty tidy, currently applying for 2-3 bedroom townhouse looking for someone to rent with before I sign

Looking to share a flat or home to rent with maybe another single parent with kids or an older person. Not looking to share with a house of students or crazy party animals. Just want a safe family friendly place to call home. I have two cats also.

Hi, I will have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) for one person that is AVAILABLE from 4 August...or sooner. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Because of this I am happy to have short-term shares i.e. you might be looking for somewhere more suitable that will take your furniture but you need to move out of where you are staying. For less than 4 weeks add another $15 a week to the weekly rent. More than 4 weeks we then work out the shared gas, electricity and water bills. The house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is on-street parking which is well lit and is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute (or 25 minutes with a heavy backpack!) walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. If you are staying longer than a few weeks, you've got to be willing to do your bit in the garden - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do your bit. Garden tasks are mostly sweeping the paths, deck, driveway and raking eucalyptus bark and leaves (once every few weeks) and occasional mowing and cutting back hideously invasive ivy. Between two it is less than onerous. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. And I really do not care whether you are a 'professional' or not - used alone, I find the term pretentious :-) I am much happier knowing about your interests :-) rather than how you earn a living (and yes, I know they could be one and the same...). Queanbeyan is a well kept secret and a great place to live - this is from a born and bred Canberran. The house is a safe, short walk to town which has nice pubs and eateries and all the essential shops including a couple of excellent op-shops.
