Hi there! I am a student moving to Canberra for 1 year to work while completing a postgraduate degree. I love animals but sadly will be leaving my dog at home. I am typically a quiet person when at home who prefers to relax by going outside or watching videos/movies. I clean up after myself and enjoy gardening and adding some green touches! I prefer to cook my own meals at home most of the time but do enjoy going out to try new places to eat. I will have a busy schedule so wish to find a place that is calm and quiet. Hope to be in touch soon!
My house is located in very end of Higgins near Southern Cross Drive. Only a short bus ride or drive to Belconnen Mall. 15 minutes (or less) bus ride to UC, 20-30 minutes bus ride to ANU. 2-5 minutes walk to a couple of bus stops and many options to go to Belconnen or Civic by bus. It’s very close to Kippax shopping centre for your groceries. A fully furnished room is available for rent. The room has a ceiling fan, a large window, built-in wardrobe, a single bed, study desk and chair. A perfect setting for a student. The house has ducted gas heating and air conditioning. You will share the main bathroom and toilet with my two children but located next to your room. You are welcome to use my kitchen, utensils, laundry and one of our fridges for your food. The rent includes all energy bills and unlimited internet data. We usually have a movie night on Friday for you to join! We have fish and a dog who is extremely friendly and mostly lives outside.

It's a nice space (at least i think so). It's comfortable in summer and winter with ducted heating and cooling. Fully furnished room with queen bed, side tables and lamp along with a study desk. With the exception of the bed, all other items can be removed at your request. It's very close to shops and a short bus ride to Belconnen mall (actually you can walk there in 45mins), Canberra University and ANU. It's about 25-35 mins by bus into Civic depending on the bus route. There is an outdoor space with bbq for entertaining and relaxing and space for growing veg if you are into that. Happy to negotiate rent in exchange for set house cleaning on a weekly basis as agreed by us, and/or occasional babysitting as the need arises.
Hi potential housemate family I am taking the jump and moving to join the 38% of Canberrans working in the public service and am looking for a place to call home. I am a coffee-powered, karate kicking, art and music enthusiast with a love of trivia and history. Home is where the heart is and for me that has always been in the people I meet. If you love a good laugh around the dining room table over wine and cards, healthy Nextflix binge sessions and cosy silences curled up around a book, please adopt this fledgling Brisbanite into your home. Cheers Paris :)
I'm willing to consider anywhere in Canberra, especially north side. I love movies and Netflix and reading, and I enjoy chatting, tv and meeting people. I love good food and I'm curious about almost everything. I've traveled a lot, living and working overseas. I've also worked with languages, as a carer, in big business, and in greenhouses. I've lived in many share houses over time. I'm working on polishing my story ready for publishing. I have recently come to Canberra to be closer to my daughter. I might have more years behind me, but that doesn't make me older. I'm very friendly, quiet, flexible and easy going.
My name is Michael. I'm 19 and have recently finished high school. I mostly do self study online with casual work at Kmart and Deliveroo. I'm pretty quiet and tend to keep to myself but I do enjoy good company and like going out on occasion. Most times you will find my at my computer either studying, working or playing games. My cooking skill is unfortunately limited to eggs, toast and instant/ canned food but I am willing to help around the kitchen.
Heya. I'm a Support Worker, Just relocated to Canberra. Fairly easy going, try to be non-judgmental, can be social or will leave you alone, ex-smoker but don't care if you do :). I'll probably be on my computer playing games or reading current affairs and news at home or, hopefully, at the gym :P. Starting Uni part time 2018.
Friends call me Kichu. I'm moving to Australia from India for my PG @ ANU on Feb 1, 2018. I am a full time student and will be working part time. I like to sing, percuss and read. I am a good teacher and can talk about science, technology and Indian music for all day long. I love dogs (and cats) even though I don't have any. I play CoD and CSGo.

Looking for a home for myself and my Kelpie Beau, we are moving back to Canberra after living in QLD. I have a job transfer with work full time Monday-Friday as a Case Worker. I adopted my dog Beau from the Animal Welfare League, he is 6 years old and is my running buddy. He would prefer a backyard to chill in during the day (doesn't need to be a big space) and prefers to sleep with me inside at night if possible. Happy to negotiate options, for example in my current home Beau sin't allowed in the living room which has new carpet and he understands this rule. We both have references too. Beau is a super friendly dog and loves cuddles with everyone. He is very well behaved, he is not destructive and loves the company of other furry friends. I enjoy spending time outdoors running, hiking and camping. I am social and love a chat, I am neat and tidy and happy to contribute to cleaning the house regularly. Please get in touch if you think your place might suit! :) Cheers Gemma.

I have been living in Canberra fort the past 3 years. I am currently studying at UC, and working part-time in retail. As final year students moving into graduate studies and transitioning into the working scene, I am really after a peaceful and well-located property to live in. I have been living at my last property in Phillip for the past six months, where I paid a rent of $380 per week. I plan on paying our rent from part-time employment income, savings.
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Looking to relocate to the ACT to take up a job within the APS sector. I am a 22 year old recent uni graduate with a friendly and sociable nature, although I am also respectful of other people's privacy. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sport, reading, or watching movies and TV.
I am a 22 y.o female in my first year out of uni and have just scored full time work as a speech pathologist in Hawker. Would love to live in a place that is kept relatively clean & tidy. I enjoy peace & quiet & my own space but am also pretty sociable & would like to live with easy-going people who don't mind having people over from time to time. I enjoy a drink (or a few) and hanging out/going out on the weekends. Have previously lived in share houses & am happy to consider other suburbs of Canberra :)
Recently renovated house with established garden (not expected to do yard work!). 5 min walk to local shops, 15 bike ride to Uni of Canberra, lots of bus options. Ducted heating and cooling, fully insulated with double glazing so it stays a nice temperature! Combined living, dining, kitchen with separate lounge so perfect for a share house.

The house is in a quiet street, and is quite close to a bus stop, though the property would best suit someone with their own car. The room is well suited for a grad student - it has unlimited internet, Netflix and Wifi sound system with Spotify account included. At this stage I'm only looking to rent one of the rooms in this 3 bedroom house, as I use one room as a study. The house is fully furnished, and has a reverse-cycle air conditioner in the lounge / dining room. The Room The room is currently furnished as a single bed room. I'm open to anyone who wants to bring their own bedroom furniture. Other The room is offered subject to Landlord approval. Rental semester by semester is ideal. This room has a bit of a treehouse feel. It's on the second floor, overlooking native trees and an oval. It's a quiet, peaceful, fully furnished room. It now has a double bed (not featured in photo - current housemate still in). And is great for students as I'm on the express busline to UC, ANU, CIT and Calvary Hospital. Graduate/quiet students preferred : ) I enjoy living with someone who feels like a friend. While this is my house I want someone to be comfortable and enjoy being here - it's a home to be loved! I also enjoy sharing a meal or cuppa or TV show/movie (on netflix, don't have a TV) from time to time - as work and life permits. Cleanliness and tidyness are important. As is quiet after 10. I do love my sleep : ) Oh, I have a cat, so if you're allergic... If you wish to have the room unfurnished the weekly rent is $190 Internet is $30/month. The only other bill is electricity. It usually comes in at $200-300 shared/quarter (Ie. $100-$150 each).
I have one bedroom available in a 3 bedroom home. You can also have the spare room/study as it does not get used. The room can fit a King size bed and a bedside table and has a built in wardrobe. There is also a common area which can be used as a loundroom which will be free once the current housemate moves out. Plenty of storage space if needed. The rent is 180$ paid weekly and the bond will be 4 months. Bills to be split. Internet is also available, I am paying 70$ per month for VDSL2 unlimited so 23$ for you should you choose to use it.
