Hi everyone Myself and Jake have been traveling and working for the good part of the past 9 years. Mainly between Canada, USA and Japan, chasing winter. After such a long away i am so excited to be coming home to Tasmania and to finally enjoy a summer. We are lovers of outdoor stuff...surfing, snowboarding, hiking, lying in the sun, the usual. Also good food and socializing. We are both very clean, respectful and seriously laid back. I enjoy cooking and love a good family/flatmate dinner; can make a mean vegetarian lasagna. Look forward to hearing for you!
Hi there, We're looking for a chilled place where Buddy and I can be ourselves. I'm a 39yo student doing an accelerated course at TAFE's Warrane campus, graduating next year (with luck!). I'm generally quiet, reserved and happy to keep to myself, a non-smoker, and respectful of others. The fast-paced nature of my course means I tend to spend most of my time studying, and chilling out whenever I can with a book, a movie, or walking the dog. Buddy is my opposite – he's friendly, cheeky, and loves to make new friends, whether other dogs or humans. At 15 months old, he's still learning etiquette, particularly around people, as he can be pretty excited to see you, but he is slowly improving. He's well toilet-trained (as am I!), and he's the friendliest and most playful little bugger around. He likes to sleep with me in the bedroom, so a place that's cool with him being an indoor dog when I'm around, and has a secure yard big enough for him to stay out in when I'm out at TAFE or elsewhere would be fantastic. He can be a little destructive in the garden when left by himself for a few hours as he tends to chew things out of boredom, so a garden that's full of expensive hoses, irrigation pipes, etc, probably won't work. I walk him whenever I can and generally visit the dog park every day, so he isn't neglected and does get his exercise. I'm happy to clean up after myself, I like a beer most evenings, and I tend to be in bed early. I'm easy with what everyone else in the house does. My belief is being tolerant of each other's quirks go a long way to making a good household. I'm also reliable in terms of paying rent on time (I make an automatic payment fortnightly from my bank account, so I never have to remember it), paying bills, etc. Happy to pay bond too. Also able to provide a police check if you like, which I had to obtain due to the nature of my course work. If this sounds like we might get along, please do send me an email or SMS! Thanks :) Carey
I am very easy going and friendly person. I love cooking and enjoy having occasional catch up with friends.. I am new to Tasy and this is the best way to meet new people around. I am neat and keep my home clean. I work long hours so definitely not a party person. I like to have a chat at the end of the day with my housemates. I respect every culture and religion. Looking to be with like minded people 😊 I like to explore new places during my spare time.
Hi future housemates! I will soon be moving to Hobart from Sydney (arriving 2nd November) and looking for a room in a sharehouse. I am in the process of buying land and building a house which will be done late 2019 so looking to stay for a year. I don't know many people in Hobart so hoping to find a place with friendly people in their 20s/30s with similar interests that I can spend time with socially. I love a good movie night or board game night, always keen for a wine, and love road trips and live music. However I am also an occasionally antisocial being and will often disappear to read or listen to music in my room. I currently live in a share house and have for many years. I am very respectful, clean and a giant organisational nerd so will always pay rent and bills on time. I will be working in Cambridge but not super fussy about location. But proximity to work or good cafes etc would be great! I have sold most of my stuff to move down but I can contribute Stan and Netflix logins to the household. I will also most likely buy a Nespresso machine if there is not already one in the house. I absolutely love dogs and cats and most other pets. I'll be down in Hobart 23rd-25th October so would love to come check out some rooms then. I'll be moving down about a week after this.
Comfortable, furnished, private bedroom opposite Seven Mile Beach Peaceful, relaxing. Share facilities with other housemates (3). Courtyard with grapevines/fruit trees/berry fruits/stone fruits Unlimited broadband internet $145/wk plus bills ($180 total, $250 for couple) 15 mins to city Close to shopping Centres Public transport with express bus to city and 2 minutes drive from Hobart airport. Close to shopping centres and supermarkets.
We enjoy the village lifestyle seven mile beach offers, it's very peaceful with a great local shop, metro bus stop outside house or 15 drive to city. General housekeeping rules apply, we are not after anyone who wants to entertain in our home however friends to pop in to say hi are welcomed. The price of $350 includes most main meals of an evening. This could be subject to change if the amount isn't reflective on what's being offered. We have push bikes to offer, veggie patch to help maintain or help extend to, dogs to walk, decks to sit on, pizza oven to light. Our awesome local shopkeepers offer their Korean meals every Friday with a great shelf selection, airport 5 min away, bottle shops close by.
Work for myself as a plumber, also studying for my pilots license. Sports usually take up my remaining free time. Pretty out going, I don't really spend much time at home... Which I guess is a good thing for you? Tidy and independent... I am an amateur chef, but I do make this pretty bad ass taco/burger/burrito thing.
Heya! I am looking to move down to Tassie from Sydney. I have spent a lot of time in Hobart over the last two years (monthly visits) and would love to make it my new home. I am ideally interested in Kingston/Kingston Beach/Blackmans Bay/somewhere on the water or close to a beach, but will consider other areas also. I have a bachelor in animal science and work with animals (animal transport/horse riding school) and I am in the process of applying for animal industry jobs in surrounding Hobart areas. There is also a possibility I will be doing some more study with an online course. I have two female border collie x kelpie dogs who I would LOVE to bring down with me (they love Kingston Beach and Alum Cliff track) but am finding it difficult to find pet friendly accomodation. If I am unable to bring them, that's okay. I'll be sad for a little while and talk about them lots, but they can stay with my parents in Shit-ney. I have previously lived in share houses with as many as 8 people in one apartment! I am super social and love a laff and bevvy with housemates. I'm a pretty rubbish cook but can clean / keep things tidy. I need and respect alone time to zone out and relax. I would love to find a place I can go to the gym, run/relax on the beach, do some exploring/hiking and make some new buds! If you have any questions or want to find out more - please hit a ginger up! :D (Moving date is very rough. Will move once i've secured a job. Ideally end of year/beginning of next).
I'm very friendly and love people, love a good cook-up and chilling out too! Can talk about almost anything, but leave you alone when you need quiet too ;) I'll be needing plenty of alone time as a fast-track nursing student anyway. I am a disabilty support worker, non-smoker, neat and tidy around the home. I have a gorgeous 6yr old labrador I either can bring with me or leave with my folks if you can't have her, but trust me, you'd be missing out ;)
Soon I'm moving to Hobart from Queensland for work and so I'm looking for a share house to move into with like-minded types. I think 3 is a good number. A short bullet-point summary of me; I like socialising. This may include going out for meals and drinks at new places, playing bit of pub trivia, or going to watch bands. I amateurishly play a bit of music myself, however I fear the only instrument I'll manage to take down to Tasmania with me is a ukulele. When I find the time I like to cook for friends and housemates. Tonight we're having paella. :) I like outdoor activities - currently I do a bit of sailing and camping but I'll have to wait to see what I get into once I'm in Tassie.
Heya :) I am a fun and social girl who loves getting out into Tasmania's wilderness for adventures, I like to run, have a few drinks every now and then and LOVE meeting new people. In the way of house holds I think I am easy to get along with because I don't like confrontation and try to do the right thing by others at all times. I am a VERY clean person haha I keep my things clean and am more than happy to pull more than my share of the cleaning weight in my share houses. I am originally from Launceston (don't judge) but I swear I'm not going to steel your things haha, I moved to Hobart 3 years ago to study science at UTAS and will be graduating in a few months so will hopefully get a full-time job in conservation around our beautiful state. I currently work part time at the old DR Syntax Hotel in Sandy bay so would love something nearby, but I also have a car so no worries otherwise. I love doggies and cats so have no problems if you have a resident pet or two :)... well thats a bit about me, please feel free to contact me if you have/know of somewhere I might fit in. :) LISA

I want to spend my summer in Hobart. I am a Sydney Uni student, in my second year studying Visual Arts. Apart from uni, I like spending time with friends and making new ones! I also have friends already in Tassie. I am a Christian currently attending church and leading youth group. I also teach recorder to yr3 students!? I used to work in a thai restaurant. I play the drums in a band, releasing an EP soon. (And of course I'm not taking my drum kit with me to Tassie!) I am a responsible, tidy, respectful and pleasant person to live with.
Super spacious new home, large deck perfect for entertaining in summer, house is fully furnished, new appliances, air conditioning and heating. We are super laid back housemates and enjoy socialising and entertaining, and would love another housemate that has these things in common.
Hello to everyone :) I'm graduated in Biology (Biodiversity), my boyfriend is doing a master in Aquaculcture. We are very quiet, sociable, tidy, clean, responsible people we like to cook (sometimes we cook Italian pizza). Thanks in advance to who will contact us!Cheers.
Hi, I have decided to move back to Hobart to be closer to my mother. Also I have just started a job with a loan brokeage firm. A bit about myself I'm laid back and easy, not fussed by very much. I am far from a party animal. Although, I confess I am a bit of a neat freak. In my spare time, I read a lot or go on random trips or go to other people's place to catch up over a cuppa. Ideally, I am looking for a room in a place which is not a party house and near a bus stop, because I do not have a car at the moment and work in Central Hobart.
Hi! My name is Ink. I am a student at UTAS majority in Zoology. I'm outgoing, chill, vegan, love to meet new people, and open minded. I am a responsible young man who have a passion for vacuuming lol, cook mean vegan tofu scramble, can party but also enjoy his day/night-ins binge watching Netflix series. Love the outdoors, nature, environment and animals.
Peaceful, friendly with a good sense of humour. I am living in Hobart to complete my Masters in Psychology at UTAS so I am looking for somewhere relaxed and conducive to study. I am enrolled full time so at this stage I am not looking to gain employment while in Hobart though may consider it in time. I have been living in Kingston since I moved here in February but now need to move on from my current residence as the home owner is moving overseas.
House is in front of the bus stop. Next to the historic site, Taroona shot tower. Nice sea view from each room. 5 mins drive from Kingston city. A quiet and safe place, family oriented neighbourhood. A grate place for the university students. Ample space to park your car next to the house. All the facilities available Oven, electric cooker, Microwave, 2 Fridges, Washing Machine and iron. Very friendly Landlord. You will get your own electric heater in the room and you have huge wood heater in the middle of the house. Nice surrounding with a garden, you can do your own gardening. Weekly rent is negotiable.
