We are looking to rent out two medium sized rooms in a large fully furnished three bedroom house. It is located on a quiet street in Isaacs, close to the Canberra hospital and Woden town center. Both rooms will comfortably fit a queen size bed and a desk, and one of them has a built in wardrobe. The house features include two lounge rooms and a sun room, as well as a large backyard, so there is plenty of space if you like a bit of alone time. The house also has airconditioning and a 3 star energy rating for those cold winter nights.
Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) that will be AVAILABLE FROM 2 July 2017. My lovely housemate's work contract has ended and she is moving back to Maitland! I am away often for extended periods (I am a full-time research student) but I will be around until at least September. My house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN wireless and 4G. There is off-street parking for one car and on-street parking is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. Because I am away a lot, I am looking for someone who is willing to do the garden while I am not there - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do it. You must be a clean and tidy person to live with. I prefer a vegetarian household - i.e. I do not eat meat, fish or poultry - but if you do eat meat then you are welcome to cook meat on the gas bbq that is undercover just outside the kitchen door. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Bills would be shared with my share being based on a pro-rata basis for when I am there i.e. if I am away for extended periods and not just a weekend or week on hols. No animals/pets sorry even though I occasionally have my kelpie come and stay. So you will have to like dogs. She is quiet and well trained. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. If you would like to speak to my former housemate then that too can be arranged. Cheers, Juliana
