Hey there, I am relocating from the Brisbane area back up to Townsville. Also moving with me is my nearly 5 year old Cattle Dog x, Syke. He is a very gentle boy who loves giving out cuddles. He is very people friendly and gets along well with other dogs. Syke is also completely house trained. I don't mind whether the property is furnished or not as I am happy to either bring my own furniture or store it. I am also open to moving to all areas of Townsville. I am very respectful and considerate of others and their property. I am tidy, kind, friendly and like having a laugh. Please feel free to ask any questions and I look forward to hearing from you :)

Hi, My name is Sarah and I'm a full-time working professional looking for a room to rent mid July. I am a clean, tidy and social 22 year old and would like to find a long term rental in Townsville (very flexible with suburb). Happy to consider any rooms but would ideally like to live with housemates of similar age or a little older. I am very respectful and considerate of others and have lived in share houses previously. Please send me a PM with photos and a bit about your place, or if you have any other questions :) Thanks everyone.
4 bedroom, fully air-conditioned home in Fairfield Waters, close to the river. $155 a week includes room rent, use of facilities, plus bills (i.e. a cleaner once weekly, electricity, and the internet). The room has built in wardrobe and split-system air conditioning. Unfurnished. Due to a cleaning service as part of the rent, we have very few overall chores - just maintain a clean room and common areas so everyone can enjoy. We also share outside duties (e.g. bins and mowing). Those that are applying must be dog-friendly, and those with medium to small dogs are encouraged to apply!
Hi everyone! I'm an international student from Germany and will be studying at JCU for one semester starting in July. I'd say I'm a pretty easy-going, clean, quiet and friendly person. I hope to find a place with flatmates that I can call my friends:) I'm always up for a chat, a netflix session, a beer or a few glasses of wine and maybe a fun night out but I also like to have my personal space. I like cooking, going to the beach, playing basketball, reading and hanging out with friends. Nonsmoker, no children, no pets (but I do love dogs!) I will arrive on July 11 and have booked a room in a hostel for the first few nights as I would like to view the room and meet potential flatmates before committing to a place. Looking for a furnished place that I can live in until late november/early december. Feel free to message me:)
I am a health care professional that works in the hospital full time. I am a very clean and tidy person who respects other people's space. On the weekend, I enjoy going on little adventures and being among the nature. I am easy going and do enjoy my glass of wine on the weekend!
My housemate and our two very friendly medium sized dogs (My 6 month old Ellie is a Kelpie!) are looking for a new housemate as our third is moving. Our 6 month lease is due for a renewal 1st June but the room is available as soon as we find someone to take over for the housemate that's leaving. The room comfortably fits a queen size bed with room for a desk or tv stand. Rent is $114 and electricity and internet is split equally between 3. Bond is $493 and you'll need to be approved by the real estate. The house is fully air-conditioned and you'll only be sharing a bathroom with only one other. We have also set up the air-conditioned garage as a study room separate to the house. We've previously already asked the real estate if the owner would allow three dogs and we've been given the go ahead pending the approval of a council application. Our neighbours are super friendly and the street is very quiet. The house is only a 10min drive to JCU or the city. My housemate rides her bike to the uni in 25-30mins. 5-10mins drive to Lavarack barracks.
Looking for a share house or someone to team up with to rent a house. Wanting to share with only 1 other person. I have 2 very well behaved medium sized dogs. I'm self-employed and work in the pet industry. I'm respectful, considerate and reliable and expect the same in return. Most areas of Townsville considered. Rent budget approx $150 including all bills.
Looking for a room with an ensuite preferably, or a small granny flat! I am a tidy and fun person to live with. I work full time all week so you don't usually see me during the week and on weekends I like to go out with my friends. Don't mind hanging out and having a few drinks with my future flat mate!!
Offered is an unfurnished bedroom in a near new 3 bedroom, fully a/c home in the Village ... The room is carpeted and has a built in wardrobe . You will have your own bathroom and toilet. The Village is very central, being a couple of minutes from the precinct, a Woolworths, JCU and the city centre.
Looking for two new room mates for my duplex in the village Oonoonba, it was only built in 2015 so it's still like brand new! I am an early 20s female uni student and am looking for two roommates to stay until the lease ends in February, preferably uni students or young people. It’s a 3 minute drive to the city and 15/20 minute drive to the uni. We have NBN available that reaches the whole house (not included in rent). House is fully furnished (except the rooms) with washing machine, clothesline, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, couches, cooking utensils, TV, etc. There is plenty of pantry space for your food in the pantries. The first room is the master room with air conditioning, has a ceiling fan, large walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. The room can easily fit a queen bed, desk, dresser and bookshelf. $140 per week for this room bills not included. The second room is air conditioned, has a ceiling fan and a built-in wardrobe. This room can easily fit a queen bed, desk and bookshelf. $130 per week for this room bill not included. I have one friendly cat, but sorry no more pets. Sorry, no smokers. Applicants will have to be approved by the real estate agent, this shouldn’t be a problem, it just means you have to fill out a form. Feel free to contact me for an inspection, I should be available most of the time or we can organise a time to suit.
Hi! My name is Natascha. I am a Danish student studying at the University of Southern Denmark. From July to November, 2017, I am studying a semester at JCU in Townsville. I am 22 years old, and moved out of my parents house at the age of 19, thus I am used to take responsibilities. I am very organized and hope that my housemates appreciate clean surroundings as well. I hope to meet new people and get a lot of great experiences during my stay. And it would be nice to live with someone who is social, but still respects a closed door once in a while. My preferences: I look for a place to live near the city or JCU, preferably with other students or people in the age range of approximately 20-30. The house (and room) needs to be furnished, since I will not be able to bring my own things from Denmark. And it would be great if my potential room did not have a carpet, since I am allergic to dust. It is a plus, but not a must if there is a pool ;) When arriving in Townsville on July 12. I have booked a room for a week, thus giving me time to visit potential housemates before making a commitment. Feel free to message me with details of the room, if you think that I could be a potential housemate, and let's set up a meeting.
Hello there! My name is Anna and I am a Danish girl going to Townsville for my semester abroad at JCU. I am tidy, easy to live with, quite social, and love being outdoors. During my semester, I obviously need to pass all exams, but my main focus will be getting great experiences and meeting new people. Therefore, I hope to end up in a house were my housemates and I can be social at times while having the privacy to study at other times. As I moved out of my parents' house when I was 20, I am able to live by myself and cope with everyday challenges. I am looking for a share house that is already furnished, since I am unable to bring furniture. The location should be with easy access to uni and the city, either by bike or public transport. I arrive in Townsville on July 12, and have booked a room for the first week, leaving me time for visiting potential housemates before making a commitment. If you are looking for a new housemate during semester 2 this year, feel free to message me the details of your room, and we might be able to set up a meeting for when I am in town.
I am looking to move into my first place, am currently still living at home. I am sociable but not all the time. I enjoy puzzles/games, reading and chilling on the couch watching TV. Currently volunteering while looking for work.

The rent is all inclusive and covers: rent, broadband internet (basically unlimited), yard maintenance, a cleaner once a fortnight, and electricity. The house: a lovely high-set Queenslander in Railway Estate. Less than 5 minute drive to town, and about 10-15 minutes to JCU and the Hospital. A block away from a boat ramp and a park, and also very close to the bus stop (route 208, I think). The space underneath the house is lockable, and provides plenty of storage space. One shared bathroom. I also have a cat, who is pretty friendly and likes company. The room has floor to ceiling built-in cupboards, (and they're really high ceilings!), and is air-conditioned and has a ceiling fan. There is also a lock on the door. Hardwood timber floors. Room has a queen sized bed. If you're interested, or have any questions, send me a message :-)

Hi my name is Arryn Hampden I am attempting to practice minimalism so I haven't had internet linked to the property, however I am open to having it connected if this is something you would like. The current connection type is NBN which is the fastest in Australia. I have a grounds keeper (Wayne) come to the property on the regular (this is at NO COST to you). Wayne is currently changing the landscape from tropical garden to a working vegetable garden. Wayne and I are also looking at getting Chickens in the near future. Sooo if you like eggs and vegetables you're already winning. Wayne doesn't live at the property however frequents the property to work on the grounds. The bathroom and kitchen have been renovated from the original house. The house is a beautiful old Queenslander with dark polished wooden floors, Stained glass windows and white tongue and grove walls. A huge dinning and lounge area and a cloak room at the front door. The main bedroom has a small study attached to it, Personally I don't use this area often. Its a good place for extra storage or to study. All rooms have working A/C. Any assessable windows from the outside have security screens for your safety. There are smoke alarms fitted and outdoor sitting area with touchscreen that repel any mozzies. I also have gym equipment if you can't afford a gym membership. There are currently 2 recliner chairs, a click-click couch that easily folds into a bed (if you have a friend stay the night), a fridge, bar fridge (down stairs), gas oven/ cook top, microwave, toaster, washing machine, slow cooker and a blow up queens size mattress 9f you have more then one friend stay over. There are two toilets and one bathroom. The house is raised to 6ft and the laundry and Gardening/ storage shed is down stairs. I'm 6.4ft so I don't use the underside of the house often. Its really good if you're short haha. There's also an old washing trough under the house that is perfect for putting ice and drinks in if you have friends over. The underside of the house is also nice if its raining and you want to have a party or just go outside for a smoke with out getting wet. Personally I don't smoke however I don't mind smokers as long as you don't flick or leave your butts around the property. I have a puppy that I am currently Training to be a Mental health assistance dog to support me and my clients (I work in mental health as a Lifestyle Support worker). It is a dog friendly property as long has your dog isn't an escape artiest lol. Personally I love animals so I'm pretty open to the idea The property is quite large 1000m2. Also if you are an eco friendly person there is a bus stop at the front of the house. The neighbours on both sides are friendly, quiet and I have a good rapport with them both. (Sharing tools gardening equipment etc). I personally haven't had any problems in this suburb and everyone I talk to like the area myself included. I'm not sure what else to say however if you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me. If I don't pick up I'm either with a client or training.
Im 23 years young, I have a big interest in animals i currently own a beautiful black cat and a jungle python (don't let that scare you he is a giant sook) I'm a big nerd who is usually playing games, reading books or watching anime to preoccupy my, although I do enjoy being social and making new friends. I'm neat and tidy and have worked a bit as a bond cleaner so Im not afraid to hook into the housework every now and then and do a big deep clean. Currently I work permanent part-time so my job is stable. I'm currently trying to improve my health too so if your looking for a fitness buddy Im your girl!
I am great to live with because I am easy to get along with, I like cleaning and I'm always up for a good time. I am into sports, cooking and hiking. I'm unemployed as I recently moved to Townsville but I'm an active job seeker.
We (that's Jack and Anja) are looking for someone to move in with us into our beautiful old Queenslander with lots of character. Jack has bought the house a couple of years ago and we've been doing lots of renovation on it since, to make it a paradise everyone wants to call a home. The house has got 3 bedrooms, one of them could be yours (we'd like to keep one as a guestroom for visitors). It has got 2 windows, one of them facing the veggie patch and garden. There is a temporary milkcrate-bed in there at the moment, which can be used or stored underneath the house, if you're bringing your own. Right next to the bedroom is the bathroom with a big shower, a washing machine, toilet and lots of storage room for everyone's belongings. There is also a little office which at the moment is mainly used by Anja for her online studies and crafty stuff. The heart of the house is the big open living space where we like to chill on the couch, listen to music and dance through the kitchen whilst cooking amazing dishes for ourselves and sometimes for friends. From the kitchen/livingroom there are sliding windows facing the big deck and views onto our beloved garden. The deck invites to chill in one of the hammocks, do yoga on, have breakfast/lunch and dinner, be creative , read a book and listen to the birds. Because there really is not much else in our soundscape. We're very lucky to have a quiet neighbourhood. Downstairs there is a big garden, which is ever evolving and growing into a more and more beautiful space for everyone. Jack is a landscaper so he's got the vision, know-how and passion to create wonderful landscape in the back yard. At the moment there are 2 big projects happening. One is the veggie patch, which we've extended and are just starting to grow our own food again (which we like to share of course), and the second project is a paving job/water feature/ hanging daybed overlooking the vegetable garden. Underneath the house there's lots of storage room and the washing line, as well as Jack's workbench. All in all there is still quite a bit of work to do around the house and the garden, but it is already very liveable and homely.
Hi there! We are two German students who will be attending JCU from July to December. We are studying Biology in Germany and are planning to major in Marine Biology in a few years which is why we are so excited to visit Australia for the first time. We enjoy going out with new friends and spending time cooking or doing sports. We are non-smokers and fun to live with :)
Quite, clean and respectful. We are both from Townsville and need a place to stay ASAP. We are generally not home very often and are at work most the day. We do gym outside of work and we don't bring friends and people over regularly or at all. Although we are young we are mature.
