The house is situated in Kensington, a short walk to the Marryatville/Tusmore shopping area in one direction and the Parade shopping area in the other. You are surrounded by shops, cinemas, restaurants and pubs, while at the same time living in a safe, quiet, tree-lined street containing heritage properties. There are several parks nearby. There is also a nearby OTR for midnight snacks or the milk you forgot to buy. The bus is very close-by and there are also quick bike routes to the city. The house is a spacious, heritage, blue-stone, four-bedroom house with polished floor boards and open fireplaces. Only three bedrooms are used as bedrooms. The other is used as a storage room. The property has several gardens and lots of character. It also has air conditioning, a lounge room, a large eat-in kitchen, a bathroom, a cellar, a laundry and two toilets. There is one large bedroom available, which can be furnished or unfurnished. It has some built-in cupboards. Rent is $140 a week. The bond is four weeks rent. There is no lease required and so there is no lease period, so you can stay as long as you like. Because it takes us a lot of time to advertise the room, interview people and find the right person to move in, we want someone who can stay at least six months. Internet, electricity and water are $22.50 a week. On-site car parking is available. Sorry guys, but we only want to share with women. We also want quiet people. No smoking is allowed inside. There are two people already in the house and another person (the owner) lives in a separate self-contained studio across a garden in the backyard.
*I put three months as 'length of stay' but am flexible! I am also happy with a furnished or unfurnished room. Hi there, I'm Claire, 36, and recently returned from seven years in Melbourne. I grew up in the Barossa Valley, so love the outdoors and good wine! While I am not working at present, I am financially secure, and looking to get into some volunteering and work in health/education policy and project management. I was a Project Manager in Melbourne. I've share housed for many years, respect other's need for space, appreciate a clean and tidy home (your bedroom is up to you! :) and also love coming together with housemates to hang, relax, cook together etc. I am still adjusting to being back in Adelaide, hoping you may be able to help with that! I had an apartment for my last few years in Melbourne, so I have everything to fill one, but it's all happily stored at my parents - but if the house needs anything, please let me know. If anyone is keen to play table tennis, I would also gladly purchase one for the house! I love the beach and will walk any dogs you have! Definitely only looking at houses with space (I have three surfboards), and the possibility to maybe grow some veggies! Cheers, Claire
Single male, full time afternoon shift worker. Experienced share renter, always pay on time, respect others space and privacy. Easy going guy who does share of household chores and likes to live in a clean and tidy environment.
Full time home/commercial painter. On weekends/days off, you may find me hiking the countryside, riding some trails on my bike, at the beach, gym, camping... Anything outdoors. I like to keep reasonably fit and healthy. People describe me as having a laid back, open minded (accepting), calm and friendly personality. All the usual good stuff! I'm normally pretty tired during the week so i require some quiet time (no loud socialising with friends, music, TV etc.) Sun-Thurs nights. I'll happily do the same for whoever I share a house with. I prefer things to be neat and tidy, I always clean up after myself, I don't like a messy unkept house. I'm happy to share the house cleaning duties when needed. Cheers The End.
brief: 21, M. Hey 🐼 I'm open-minded and try to see things from other peoples perspective. Conscious of my impact on the environment around me, I do my best to minimise my footprint; cleaning (mild OCD), being vegetarian and trying to live as sustainably as I can. Passionate for creating in all mediums; music, film, design. Previous share house experience in a foreign country. 한국말 조금 할 수있어~
Hey I’m Loz! I’m from Sydney but am moving to Adelaide to study wine at University or Adelaide and work. I’m a laid back kind of gal who is always down for some class banter or sharing some beverages after a long week. I don’t know the area at all and I know nobody in Adelaide, so it would be awesome to find some roommates who don’t mind going out for the occasional brunch or dinner at the pub. I’m a bartender so I’ll more than likely be coming home quite late but I have mastered the art of being silent. I’d really like to live in a house rather than an apartment, fully or partially furnished, and I’m looking for long term stay. Cheers!
Hey my name is Sasa, I'm a 24 year old Accountant currently working for one of the Big 4 accounting firms and I'm looking for a place close to the city to make it easier for me to come into the city for work, but also looking for roommates to build friendships and have some fun and sharing experiences. I love travelling and I go for a couple trips each year. I am a big sports fan, and actively play basketball with it taking up 2-3 nights of my week for training and games.
We are Ingrid (35) and William (38), a couple of professional engineers in their mid-30s who decided to study and work in Australia. We love quiet and tidy places. We like chilling out at home watching movies, reading books, relaxing but happy to chat as well. We are a couple very tidy, organised and responsible. We are looking for social and respectful flatmates.
