Our home is modern and framed well with a nice garden front and back. The house is floorboard and tiles throughout and easy to keep clean if you suffer allergies. The location is a nice quiet pocket of Moonee Ponds, not far from lovely Queens Park, the Moonee Ponds Creek trail, some other smaller parks and Puckle St Shops and eateries. The transport options are plentiful if without car and a myki user. A bus line is 5 minutes walk away, you also have 2 tram lines 10-15 minutes walk away and the bus intersects a bus hub which branches in all directions close by. You also have a bus intersect more than 2 train lines, so you have options! I often mix it up to head in different directions or work around Metro delays so i'm not stuck. I also ride 30 mins to work in the cbd. The room is quite spacious, a past housemate had a double bed, recliner and big screen TV in his room to go with the double built in wardrobe doors. My current one has bedside tables double bed and desk with bureau. Its situated at the quiet end of the house also and is warm and inviting with good light or blockout blind. There is an aerial point in the wall for your TV. Wardrobe measures 2.1 metres across of hanging space and a shelf above. The room approximately measures 3.1 x 3.25m at the mid points for those that ask. If required, i can place a futon bed in the room which is very comfortable if you need a bedding option. Which we can arrange. I am happy to work with you to make you feel more comfortable and at home around some of the needs you may have. At present the room is unfurnished but i have helped prior housemates with beds, and other things, The Kitchen is quite nice with pantry, i have a new fridge and freezer to share also. There is cooking and eating utensils if you don't have any, i am pretty self sufficient for you to just move in. The Bathroom has a spa and shower, the toilet room - powder room is huge also and can serve as second vanity which has a dryer for colder months. The Rent is $250 a week which includes phone and internet (wireless ADSL 2+) also. The lounge and dining rooms each have TVs. NBN is planned for the area soon. Electricity, Gas is on a good discount where i work i get staff discount and split the bills in two ways along with the Water bill all separately. All these bills averaged over a year would be about $300 a Qtr (maybe less) for the elec, water and gas for your share. Current housemate moving to changed work conditions but was with me quite a long time. The backyard has a bbq, some nice sitting area and clothes line. Locally the creek trail is a nice walk as is Queen Park and surrounds. I am easy going and happy to chat or give you your space and respectful of your needs as i hope you are also. The place is quite large to spread out, its quiet if you like peace and rest. I work a corporate role, have my own business and play tennis and basketball. I lead a fairly active life cycling to work and keeping fit. I hope that you're easy going, a great communicator, clean and helpout without asking by tidying up after yourself. It's important you are a responsible person that can pay the rent and bills on time also. I am more than happy to show you about and make you a tea or latte to answer any of your questions if you'd like to see the place. I have recently returned to study l my masters in OT after many years working full time as a clinician. Very neat and tidy, life these days tends to be either at work, uni or somewhere peaceful I can study. Looking for mature housemate as the party scene is a little behind me. That being said, wine and cheese nights are a fav!
25 Yr old Male from Lismore NSW. Been in Melbourne for a year. Work full time in the North. Love Hip Hop music. Looking for a creative but clean, communal living situation where we can enjoy each others company. Perhaps go out and catch a gig or drink but respectful of the need for individual downtime. Looking to start a diploma of teaching mid year. Very relaxed and honest person.
I'm a fun and considerate housemate. I've recently finished a job in country Vic working full-time for the last 10 years. I'm heading back to Melb for work and would love to team up with someone to find my feet. I'm great with cleaning and tricky stains are my speciality (so I'm told! haha) I love indoor plants and making a comfortable home everywhere I go. I enjoy cooking but am no masterchef - happy to jump in a give it a go!
I am a quiet person who likes her own privacy. I clean up after myself and don't mind a night indoors couple of times a week watching movies. I work full time and looking for a quiet house with mature house mates. Looking at minimum 3-6 months maximum close to Tullamarine area before my husband returns to Australia then we will find our own place.
I'm neat, tidy, considerate, incredibly easy to get along with, respectful, kind natured, mature and I love to talk but also make a great listener. I have a secure casual government job in Southbank with full time hours requiring me to be a people person so I'll be working a lot as well as socialising as much as possible. I'm 22 in April so for fun I like to stay in touch with my inner child and play PS4 and Sims 4, read comics, get buried in a tv series marathon, have a few friends over for some drinks, watch Netflix/movies and go out to the movies just to name a few. I'm extremely outgoing in general and love meeting new people, experiencing new things and living in the moment. MY ideal home/housemates would be somewhere I can have my own private space when i need some time out from people, my housemates are respectful of those that have an early start at work in the mornings and won't make too much noise and people who I can occasionally hang out with and watch movies/have a laugh with.
Hi! I am a friendly, energetic, clean-living person. I am from the country. I enjoy working out, exercising, going out, going to the movies, hanging out and having fun.

Hi Guy's, I have just returned from the UK, having been there for almost a year. I am English, but have lived in Australia for over 20 years. I am awaiting an operation at present, so I am not working, but I am financially secure. I am respectful, reliable, like a chat, wine / beer sometime. Cooking, keeping fit, music, TV, gardening, clean and tidy. My daughter stays with me some weekend and part school holidays. Having good roll model people around is important. I am no party person, but not an old stick on the mud either, Neil.
Hey Guys, We're two Irish girls Niamh (28) and Laura (22). We're look for a third person to teamup with. We're easy-going, friendly, fun and tidy. We both work in hospitality and would prefer someone that has a similar work scheduled, but its not a necessity. We also study part time.
I'm a relatively newly returned Melbournian. I've returned from sleepy Perth, leaving behind fast paced world of mining construction, hard hats, fluro-vests and the road-grit they pass off as coffee. I've been living in Moonee Ponds and Maribyrnong area for 18 months. I really love the area and it's a regrettable move so I hope I can find somewhere close by or somewhere with easily accessed public transport to take me to Parkville. I'm pretty much guaranteed to be an A house mate as I recently scored 98/100 in the highly reputable and accurate Buzz Feed "How Good Are You At Living With Other People?" test. Take the test to see if you're a great housemate, with questions such as 'would you borrow your house mates underwear' how could you fail? I'm a student at Uni of Melb, studying a graduate diploma of psychology at the Parkville Campus. I have some independent income and I'm working on my own small business. I am hoping to move before 26 February, before Uni recommences. I'm a great cook, prefer a clean tidy home and I like an occasional glass of red wine. I've got dreams of being a green thumb but a history of being more krypton/interesting-aqua (if you believe Bunnings colour swatches). I've got a little mobile garden; every thing is in pots, from potted strawberries, garlic, chillies, jalapeños, oregano, thyme and a few more. If there's room I have a mini-greenhouse where I grow seedlings and cuttings. All above board stuff! I have my own bedroom furniture, a large study desk and can contribute kitchen ware, crockery etc and a medium sized fridge. A small amount of storage would be handy and I'm ok with on-street parking. I'm left wing in my ideals, prob one of the few Green voters in a Liberal safe seat, and am open to living with people of any gender or identification. I don't smoke, I'm keen on environment pursuits and I don't have any dietary requirements. I have references from my current landlord and previous share housemates. I'm still friends with housemates 10, 8 and 4 years since we shared. I'd consider them to be highly reputable people when they're guaranteeing my suitability as a housemate, however I'd consider them damned-liars if they spill on the me from 10 years ago who had a penchant for BeefEater gin (Hendricks only now). I have a 4 year old cat, Mia-cat, who was rescued from a junk yard a year ago. She is indoor house trained, will occasionally perform for treats and reportedly has a BA in Lap Warming. I'll let you be the judge. If you think we'll be a good fit for your place please let me know. Jennifer
HiI I'm Ruwanthi,I'm a 23 yr old Srilankan who will be starting a Masters at unimelb in Feb. I'm an easy to live with and fun person who is always up for a chat, but I'm also very quite and will respect your privacy. Really exited to be coming to Melbourne and meeting my new flatmates :D
Great cause I respect the privacy of others, I'm handy in the kitchen, I'd like to think i'm tidy and I don't mind cleaning. I'm easy going, I pay on time and I really do like to treat people the I way I would like to be treated. I am a Dogman by trade mainly in the construction industry with all types of cranes. I love playing or watching any sport and enjoy hanging out with friends and family.
URGENT Hi! My name is Jasmine - I am 22 years old and working fulltime in the CBD as a barista (I can supply you with great coffee) I am urgently looking to move out of my current place as my housemate has terminated our lease so she can move back to WA. I wasn't told about the termination until a few days ago, hence the urgency. I can cook, and I L O V E to clean. I am also pretty quiet, but have a whole half of my brain dedicated to terrible jokes just waiting to be used. I would prefer a room fully furnished as I have recently moved from WA, so I don't actually own anything other than too many clothes. Thank you thank you thank you for considering me.
I've lived in numerous share houses over the years, often moving each time I return from my overseas travels. I'm working full time at the airport, as well as studying this year too, and I have a number of extra curricular activities and hobbies to keep me busy. I'm a young and mature 36 year old, depending what the situation calls for :-) Prefer to live with independent flatmates who enjoy some shared social time, but who don't live in each other's pockets (I'm out a lot so home time is often my quiet time). Guys and girls are equally good to share with, although I don't want to have to babysit and / or clean up after anyone - everyone should do that for themselves and share the communal cleaning. I'm meticulous about paying my bills on time, and I've lived in houses where people share the cooking and houses where everyone cooks for themselves - I can do either, whatever works best for everyone. Looking for somewhere with people of a similar age bracket (late 20s to mid 30s), who can hold a conversation, maybe have some interesting stories, who clean up after themselves, and know the value of good energy / vibes when sharing a house!
We are a very easy going couple from the UK and Ireland with a passion for adventure and meeting new people. We're very sociable but also very respectful of peoples personal space. Our passions are sport, travel and coffee. Looking forward to hearing form people :)
