I own and self manage the property, so any issues can be directly negotiated with me. The house is fully furnished. The house is quite large, and one existing house mate is a shift worker so very rarely around. The views are amazing as the house is near the top of a large hill. Netflix, internet, large projector screen, and a nature reserve across from the house. Air conditioning, and central heating.
Hey potential housemates My name is Sharne and I am a 28 year old Primary school teacher. I enjoy my personal space but also up for a chat and binging the bachelor, bachelorette or MAFS. Enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, going to the movies and Seinfeld and sex and the city aficionado. Hoping to find 1 other person like minded to move in with :) Cheers Sharne
Hi my name is Trent I’ve just moved back from the USA I’m look for a place that I can stay I work full time. I’m clean I don’t mind a chat but I mostly keep to my self.
I’m currently looking for a full time job in Canberra as I’m living in NSW at the moment. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like my own privacy and am pretty quiet.
I live with a lovable goof of a LabradorX named Tycho. He loves people and belly rubs. His favourite thing to do is sleep on the floor or sofa in the company of his people. As for myself I am a quiet, self-professed gamer. Most of my time I spend on my computer streaming or playing games. I'm happy to have a chat but I like my own space as well. I work full time as a receptionist for a law firm in the city. I am looking to share a place with responsible, mature housemates with open communication and cooperation.
I’m a young adult who is working full time in administrative work. I prefer to have my own space but can socialise occasionally. I am looking for a place to live, ideally with only a couple flat mates (but am flexible with this) that are clean, and respectful.
Hi potential new housemates I am an ex Perth girl and semi nomad who loves to travel. I lived in Canberra in 2017 and loved it and so have been looking to return this year. I just got a 6 month contract working as a children's physio in Holt and so am looking for somewhere in the Belconnen region to live during this time. The position starts in May. I am house trained, come with many travel stories and enjoy hanging out, cooking together, dancing, acroyoga, hiking, picnics and playing outside. Let me know if you think I would be a good fit in your household. Cheers Avila
hey were a couple looking for a home to rent as the owner of the place we live in now wants to move back in. I work full time at the ibis styles hotel on goyder street , and my wife is a student at the ANU. we would highly appreciate a prompt response as we only have 4 weeks to vacate the house. Thanks, Yasir
I recently moved to Canberra in January and have been living on campus at UC. However I am looking to move into a quieter area. I am a clean and tidy person and pretty quiet. I would love to have a friendly household and catch up with housemates when we are all free however I also respect personal space and enjoy spending time alone. I am studying full time and working part time.
Hi, I am moving back to Canberra and I am looking for somewhere to rent. I am clean and quiet. I do enjoy occasionally chatting to my housemate - possibly bonding over trashy tv, a walk, a cuppa or a wine. I also like to have my own time and space too. I like to cook, but I don't cook every night (joys of cooking for one) and will always clean up after myself. I am easy going, kind and always pay my bills on time. I like rock climbing and scuba diving. Ideally, I would like to move in after the 12th April (moving from out of town back to Canberra), I have 2 - 4 weeks to find a place once I moved back. It would be great to have my own bathroom but I am flexible. Preferably only one other housemate, but again, for the right house, I could be swayed. Looking forward to finding somewhere great to live.
I've just moved back to Canberra, I work full-time in childcare, I play soccer, enjoy a good night out. Pretty easy going, clean up after myself, would be cool to have house mates keen to hang out occasionally but also respect each others space and privacy!
Great value modern apartment with ducted air conditioning/heating, front-loading washing machine, nice balcony overlooking the courtyard, very fast (by Australian standards...) VDSL2 internet, and underground parking with extra storage space. There is also a convenient bus stop right outside of the complex which goes directly to Belconnen, and a large oval just across the street. Electricity/gas bills are paid in equal share in addition to the rent.
The property is spacious, clean and is in a quiet cul de sac! All rooms except the bedrooms are furnished by myself. All you need is to bring a bed with you and maybe a TV if you want one in there. Happy to negotiate if you’d like to bring any furniture yourself. The bedroom is carpeted, has a fan and built-in wardrobes. It is quite spacious for a queen and a study desk. The room is available now as my previous roommate has just finished moving out. You must be willing to sign a 12month lease. You will be sharing your bathroom with only one other person when they move in as well. It has a large vanity and shower as well as a bath! There is also a large linen closet for you to share with the one other person. There is a dish washer, washing machine and dryer available. You will have unlimited VDSL internet, Telstra TV and Netflix available which is included in the rent. Other bills (electricity and water) will be split equally every quarter. It should work out to be no more then $30 a week on top of rent. Off street parking is available and a carport if you have a car. If not the bus line runs very close to the house. If you have your own car, it is a 15-20min drive into the city, a 8min drive to Belconnen mall and about 10mins drive to UC.
A sunny north-facing bedroom is available for a quiet person share with mature professional female. This tidy room is fully furnished with a large built-in wardrobe, study desk and chairs, bookshelf and a single bed with bedside table and lamp. WiFi Internet access to share. There is external antenna, good quality Makin mattress and gas heater available. It is in a spacious three-bedroom townhouse in a lovely quiet environment close to the golf course and Kippax shopping centre. There is a big sunny courtyard for relaxing in and plenty of open spaces for pleasant walks nearby. 5 minutes to bus #44 stops and off-street parking available. 20 minutes drive to Civic and 10 minutes drive to Belconnen/Jamison shopping centre.
*warm family environment *furnished bedroom *north-facing, lots of sunlight in winter *shared bath and toilet *well-groomed, spacious backyard and deck *bedding can be provided if desired *access to shared appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc...) *access to shared kitchen and living room *heating and evap cooling *reasonable use of water, electricity, gas included *150m walk to bus stop (Route 44) *5 minute walk to Holt shops and bus stop *20 minute walk to Kippax shopping area and bus station *If desired, all meals can be included for a total of $270 per week. *Please note: There is a chance that the room will only be available until mid-July. If this happens, we will let you know well in advance. In the event that the room becomes unavailable, we have a stunning, fully furnished cabin in our backyard (with private bathroom) that you would be welcome to use from this time forward instead of the room.
In this house you will effectively have half of it to yourself. I travel for work so you will get the house to yourself occasionally. The house has a great layout and can be sectioned off for heating and cooling. Own bathroom provided and big living areas. Quiet area with minimal traffic. Within 100m to walking/running paths. As you can see from the pics the room has built-in wardrobes. The living areas are well set-up.
Its new and modern 2 bedroom townhouse fully furnished. I have a lovely furnished courtyard good for relaxing. The townhouse is located across the shop in a very quite street. There is a walking trail and a park. The bus stop is 100 yards from the residence. It is one bus to Belconnen and Canberra City.
Great fully furnished free standing house With massive tv and a fully equipped gym. House is an open floor plan with multiple entertaining areas and 209sqm of living space under the roof. $150 per week rent includes Netflix and internet.
This is a very spacious home, ample lounging space, dining room, lots of kitchen space, decently sized rooms, neat yard with undercover area. Were friendly, enjoy communal living and at the same time the spaciousness means we won't be living in each other's pockets. We are a 15-minute cycle from Belconnen and University of Canberra, and 10 minutes to the Jamison shopping centre. Public transport within reach. Our home is a happy and cosy one, with lots of garden and lounge space to sit, jump and roll.
I'm Ally and I am 26 years old. I am friendly, easy going and love to be around people who enjoy a good time. I can cook, I am tidy and clean and I pay my bills on time. I work full-time in Canberra CBD and have a fun sense of humour! Looking for a new place with housemates who are also easy going, nice, tidy, not narcissistic and have a balance between laying low and kicking on!
Currently living in yass looking to move to Canberra, somewhere north side preferably. I am an electrician and a refrigeration mechanic so i can fix pretty much anything. I play a fair bit of sport, I like a night out as much as I like a night in. Looking for a house mate(s) that I can go for drinks with and hang out with but also like to do my own thing. I'm very easy to get along with and tidy
I love this city (town), it's where I grew up and it's home. I've moved back from Melbourne and want a place to drink wine, laugh often, do some yoga and have people over for dinner after a long work week. I don't need a TV but if I have one it will be playing Brooklyn 99. I do require much sunlight and frequent soul music but other than that I'm easy care. I think I'm a reasonable mix of liking my own space and wanting to chat about the day's happenings. I teach yoga outside my job which I love. Would love to find a place that feels like home with someone neat and easy going who enjoys good music, good wine, good coffee and good company.
