Hello, my name is Jacob and I am a school leaver who will be studying nursing in Canberra in 2018. I am a very clean person and like to keep my spaces neat and tidy, I'm not shy of a good conversation and I enjoy the company of others. I am hoping to find somewhere to live as soon as possible, if you have ANY questions please don't hesitate, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you.
Hi All. I am a tech-enthusiastic, easy-going guy from Tasmania. I'm currently studying video game design, programming and small business management, and am very close to owning my own small studio in video game development. In my free time, I normally play video games, go to the cinema, or develop video games (It's my job and my passion). I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker, independent, tidy, organised, always pay on time, and enjoy genuine conversations. I'm planning to study in Watson ACT during 2018, and therefore i am looking for accommodation nearby for 1 year, starting around late January. I'd also be up for "teaming up" for accommodation. Hope to hear from prospective flatmates. :)
I am an approachable and friendly person. I am clean and respectful. I am studying Primary Teaching and I am a qualified makeup artist, currently working in retail makeup. I'm 20 years old and am looking to move out of home. I am after a place that is relatively permanent (one year or more). I am looking to move our early next year.
I here for an Aurora internship and am pretty interested in society at large. In Adelaide I volunteer with an environmental organisation. I really love music and like having quite a bit of fun. I’m in 4th year at Adelaide university and study law/ anthropology / French. I like a clean shared space and am pretty tidy. I just died my hair bright orange and am adjusting to the consequences. At least you’ll know who to blame if there’s an unreal orange hair in the shower. (Which there won’t be because I’m tidy ;)
Hi, i am azhari, i will commence my study at ANU in Jan 2018, my wife will join me at March 2018. I need a place that allowing couple to live (granny flat/studio are preferred, but a room will be OK too). We're just ordinary couple from indonesia (just ask the other person about indonesians), always smiling, enjoy friendship, cleanliness, but also need a privacy. My budget is max 250/week, i am a DFAT sponsored posgrad students, so the rent pay will not be late.
I’m a Full time student at the Canberra Institute of Technology and I also work part time in Ainslie. I’m moving out of my student accommodation in December and looking for a new place to call home 😊
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
Currently first year student at ANU doing double degree in engineering and physics I'm Indian origin, but aussie by birth Perks of having me around: Fun loving Clean Cheerful Friendly Plays sports like soccer, cricket Can cook Indian meals if you want to try it out Even tho I'm veg, I have no problem with others eating non veg Won't impose restrictions; easygoing Will pay fees on time Also good at board games like chess and checkers
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
Hello, We are Tanya and Henry! :) We are two students: Henry is doing his PhD and Tanya is studying law at ANU. Tanya has a dog, Rocky, who will be living with us. Rocky has pet references from living in an apartment this year, and the landlord has been really happy with the condition of the house and how well we’ve kept the place. His details are available on request. We have been friends for three years now and we too come with references from our previous landlords. We both have part-time jobs and parents who are able to help us with rent. We are clean and conscientious tenants and will take care of the property because living somewhere nice is important to us. Please let us know if you want to know anything more about us! Looking forward to hearing from you! Warm regards, Tanya & Henry
Hi there! I'm a full-time student at ANU who also works. That means I'm pretty busy during the day but like to have a chat with my housemates when I get home, but also value privacy. My interests are (at risk of sounding like an e-harmony ad); cooking delicious food from scratch such as pizza, pasta, and muffins; going to the gym when I can and hiking Canberra's beautiful mountains, as well as hanging out with friends!
Work at ABS, very chilled, ride bike to work and keep active during the week. Weekends enjoy having a chat and a beer or two watching crap TV. Happy to rewatch sopranos and the wire though. Love the Canberra Raiders
Easy going, social, shared before, studying full time. Like people, pet friendly. I'm starting a masters at ANU Jan 22 and won't be arriving in Canberra until Jan 20.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. The house is spacious, sunny and colourful with a delightful verandah. We have lots of herbs and a little fledgling vege garden with aspirations for chickens. The room has lovely big windows, built-in wardrobe space and quirky wallpaper ;) The room also has a comfy Queen sized bed and desk. We have a warm and friendly homey home. We have interests in art, environment, politics, movement, self-development and cultural exchange etc. We tend not to watch much tv and would probably not be suitable for someone who is a large watcher. We value direct and thoughtful communication with each other and would expect that from people staying. We also value everyone contributing to keeping things around the house functional and the communal spaces clean and tidy :) Fyi the owners are sadly returning to the house sometime next year.
Being in Ainslie means it is conveniently located, with shops and bars within walking distance, and a short ride/drive/bus to the City, Braddon and Dickson. The room is huge with a large built in wardrobe, with room for a king bed and a bit more furniture. The room has a full en-suite with spa bath and twin shower. Rent is $219 per week, paid fortnightly. Other costs are: Internet ($17 per month) and Cleaning ($20 per fortnight). Electricity and water bills are split evenly between 5 people. The room is available from the start of December, although this can be negotiated to earlier if needed. This is the best value share house you will find!
Hiya, The house is in Ainslie (14 mins by bike to ANU, 5 mins to Dickson shops, and a 2 minute walk to a bus stop on the number 2 route). We're looking for anyone clean and friendly, but we're also fine with someone who wants their own space. The room will fit a single bed a desk or just a double bed. It doesn't have built in storage, but we can provide a wardrobe. Water is included, but electricity, gas and internet are separate. Internet is $15/month for unlimited usage and electricity/gas is around $200 per quarter in winter and less in summer. Let us know if you're interested, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Hey everyone! The house has two large bedrooms and in a great location just below mount Ainslie. I'm a shift worker who travels interstate for work and I'll be lucky to spend even a few nights in the house per fortnight, so you'll basically have the place to yourself! It's fully furnished but I can clear some stuff out if you have your own things. There's air conditioning and off street parking. It's less than a two minute drive from the city, 5 minutes from ADFA and an easy bike ride for uni students. Happy to work something out on the rent/bills/internet with the right person.
We are looking for a fun student or young professional to fill a big room in a sharehouse in Campbell. The house is in a great location 15min ride into the city, including ANU, or 30min walk. The property has a large living room, dining room and kitchen, laundry, heating and cooling system, shared bathroom (with a separate toilet), carport and a large backyard with a closeline. The room available for rent is very big and has a built in double wardrobe and large window. It comes unfurnished, although a double bed and mattress are available if requested. Lovely suburb with friendly neighbors, walking tracks, and abundance of trees and a small set of shops including a post office, IGA, restaurants and hairdresser just a 10min walk away. Room is available from 3rd December but you may be able to move in earlier on negotiation.
Lovely quiet house. Clean and tidy. Your room has a queen size bed, lamp and side table, ceiling fan and built in wardrobes. There is a study which you could use or a big dining room table you can work at if required. You have your own bathroom which would only be used if people come over for dinner etc. The house also has two living spaces so we can hang in our own spaces if we want. My room has the tv 😀. The kitchen is small but easy to cook in. There is also a garage space but only fits a small car. No pets, smokers or couples sorry. Available February.
I’m looking to rent out my room in our awesome little sharehouse in Dickson from Nov. 20th to Feb. 15th (I can a bit flexible with dates). It’s $150/week, right on the bike path to ANU and the city, and a couple of minutes from Dickson shops. It’s close to lots of bus routes as well, and is pretty quiet. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there’s a really comfy living room, shared bathroom and a big back yard with a bbq drum. The room has a bed, desk, storage space, mirror etc.
