Hey! I'm a local musician and busker. Despite my unemployed status, I make a decent income through my music and am a hard worker. I'm a social person and always up for a chat! I'll typically be working through the day but am always happy to help around the house and ensure that everything is clean and tidy. I have lived in Canberra my whole life and am finally looking to gain independence. I have just finished college and received a deferral from the ANU school of Music, using my gap year to make some money and have good experiences.
Hi, I am a PhD student at the Australian National University. I am quiet and friendly. I will be busy with my PhD work almost everyday except Sunday. But I would love to share my free time with my flat mates playing games, watching movies or cooking together. I would also like to listen to music and come to know interesting stories from different countries. I would like to have my own bathroom or ensuite bathroom. Hope to meet you soon!
Hey there, I am a young kiwi looking to fly from the nest (even though kiwis can't fly). I was born, raised and have never moved from a small city in New Zealand and am ready to venture over to Canberra to begin my studies at University of Canberra. I am currently a full-time student at UCOL (my current course finishes mid May) and part-time employee in sales- yes, I never seem to get a day off. Some hobbies which I have also include some rather nerdy things such as gaming, cosplay and playing some good ol'fashioned card games. I do have a taste for the finer things in life such as fast speed internet, 2 minute noodles and memes. I enjoy being social and trying new things, I never back down from a challenge. I am more than willing to compromise and cooperate with everyone I live with (it also helps that I'm a passionate baker and love cleaning- vacuuming is my favorite). All I am seeking in return is a good experience with some relaxed, friendly people. I look forward to hearing from you soon, Robyn
Full time Communications/IT/Security guy, and part time long distance uni student, working from home as an advance staff member for my company, before a new office is organised. I'm quiet and independent, but more than happy to socialise when housemates want to. Open minded and accepting of all walks of life. If there's animals, especially a dog or two, I'm a very happy camper. I've lived in 3 share houses in Perth, since 2010, with the same group of people. They were complete strangers to begin with, but have since become very close friends, so I know the ropes of living with other people. Very much a neat and tidy person, especially in shared spaces - no point in creating hassles when it's so easy to keep things clean. Couldn't really care less about smoking (i.e I don't smoke, but don't care if others do), same goes for partying, unless there's a complete consensus with all other housemates. I'm good with a pair of gloves, a spade and watering can. Same goes for power tools, and generally fix most things myself, when the need arises. More than happy to allow the professionals/landlords to do this instead though. If you've got issues with a computers, or even basic motoring/bike stuff, I'm pretty good with that stuff too. Basically a jack of many trades and willing to use these skills. During down time, I love a good bourbon/cider/beer and BBQ, pretty good at marinating a bunch of different types of meat too. Throw some good 90's music, or anything that's been played on Triple J for the last 20 years, and I'm pretty happy. Back in WA, I loved throwing myself and my mountain bike down a trail. I enjoy going to the gym, I'm no crazy junky, but I do enjoy keeping myself fit. I own an X-Trail, that doesn't exactly go overly fast, but get's me out and about into bush land, where camping is very much desired. Drop us a bell, and let me know what's going :)
My name is Emilia, I'm 29, and I've just moved to Canberra for work! I've had share house experience- I'm neat and tidy, I like to catch up and have a chat with housemates at the end of the day (particularly being new to Canberra, this would be very welcome) but also keep busy and respect the need for down time.
Hi, I am currently studying at Canberra Makeup Academy. I also work part time. I like being social and hanging out on the weekends but stay pretty quiet during the week. I am friendly and easy to get along with so would like to live with people the same. I really love travelling, going on adventures and doing new things. :) I am new to Canberra so would love to make some new friends.
I am a 37 year old professional. I am neat, tidy and peaceful. I am used to living with housemates and being flexible and accommodating. I am happy to provide references of past landlords.

I'm an easy going tradie. Early riser to take my female Husky for morning walks. Outdoorsy kinda guy with a 4x4 Ute and a dirt bike. I can cook alright, keep to myself mostly, but like a good social drink and or a chat. Keep a clean room, but can put up with a bit for clutter. Love to try learn new things, and will also be getting back in to the gym once settled. Looking for a place for a minimum of 6 months for my pup and I.
Hey ! I’am Vamsi from India. I’d recently been selected to be an exchange student at the ANU to conduct research on Solar cells in partnership with Panasonic Australia. Since I’d be new to Australia , I am looking for a house close to the University. I’d be in Canberra from the 27th of March to The First week of July. I’am a 21 yr. guy looking to add to my International Experience. Hoping to hear from you soon 😊
We are an easygoing, respectful and open minded couple moving from the Netherlands to Canberra, to do a fulltime internship at CSIRO for 6 months. During the week we will be working and in the weekends we would like to explore the area and meet new people:) We have both been living in a housesharing situation for 5-6 years in Amsterdam. We both like sports and being outdoors. Send me a message if you can help us out or want to know more about us!
Hi! I'll be moving to Canberra to work coming from Sydney Im looking for a place near the City or anywhere close to it around 20-30mins max :) Loves outdoors, sociable and can be quiet as well-- as i respect people's privacy. Respectful and tidy around the house.
Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. The room has lovely big windows and built-in wardrobe space, and is connected to the central heating (which we use thoughtfully :). The room has a comfy double bed in it but can moved if need be. It is best inhabited by someone who is a solid sleeper as sound-proofing in the room isn't great. Current housemates are Noemi and Valeria from Mexico, and Amie and Kylie from Aust. The house is large and more than comfortably accommodates all of us. Noemi is in her last year of an anthropology PhD, Valeria just started highschool, Kylie just moved here from Darwin and is also doing studies in Anthropology, and Amie works in community arts and is involved in a number of other comm'ty based projects.
We’re looking for a new housemate to share our lovely place in Hackett. The house is an ‘original’ 60s job but in good condition and very comfortable. We like to keep the house very clean and tidy. It’s three bedrooms, one bathroom with separate toilet, kitchen, laundry, a shared living area, and a big backyard. The main areas of the house are furnished already. It’s an easy walk/ bike ride to Dickson shops and a 15-20 minute bike ride to Civic or ANU. Most of the bus routes leave from near Dickson shops, but there is also a bus which runs between Hackett shops and Civic. The room is available from the 1st of June (flexible with move in date). It is a decent size (big enough to fit a queen-size bed, shelves and a desk) with good natural lighting and a built-in wardrobe. The rent is $170 per week not including bills. We’ll need a bond of $680 when you move in. Utilities bills and internet are split evenly among the housemates. The internet is $30 per housemate/ per month. No pets are allowed and smoking is not allowed in the house.
This furnished (or unfurnished) room could suit a student, young professional or working holiday maker who is looking for a quiet place with lots of privacy in a convenient location! Unfortunately it is not suitable for pets. The owner lives next door (dual occupancy) and looks after all the bills, furniture, internet, maintenance etc to ensure that all the housemates are happy and looked after! The house is set amongst large mature trees and is very quiet, with views of Mount Majura and across the road from a small park. Just a short walk to the bus stop for number 2 bus for Dickson and Civic. The ACU (Australian Catholic University) is less than a 5 minute walk away. ANU and UC are both 8km away. Close to Hackett shops and Mount Majura. With a European housemate you could brush up on your French/Italian language or cuisine skills! Or plan some travel adventures!
The house has ducted heating and cooling. It is close to the bus and 5 minutes drive to city/ANU. It is a beautiful cottage and the room has a large French door opening onto a deck. I provide Stan, Netflix and AppleTV (in living room). I own the house so there are no real estate inspections to worry about. There is also a study/chill out space for reading and listening to music that you can share with me. It's at the other end of the house from the living and dining rooms if you need some personal space. In the front garden is an outdoor table with directors chairs and folding umbrella. I have a Webber BBQ as well.
Modern, clean and spacious house in a great location and a modern gas kitchen which is great for cooking. Mount Ainslie reserve is just a block away so you can easily enjoy the outdoors. There is a small deck and yard for BBQ's and plenty of room to entertain or just enjoy some down time. Your room has built in wardrobes, its own bathroom with a large bath and separate toilet. Central air-conditioning keeps the house comfortable all year round. All the mod-cons including dishwasher.
I own and live in a 4 bedroom 1 bathroom home in Dickson. It's a neat little house on a big block with a lovely backyard and deck. It’s located in a quiet street that is bordered by the Dickson playing fields and the wetlands. The house has ducted gas heating and evaporative cooling. I'm looking to rent out just one of my 3 spare rooms, at about $200 p.w. Internet is included in that, but other bills would be split. (The photos of the house are from back when I bought it in 2014. Apologies, haven't got around to taking new photos. The bedroom for rent is similar to the one shown but does not have its own door to the outside).
Creative. Relaxed and considerate. Love gardens, leafy suburbs and hikes. From Penrith, Sydney relocated to Canberra to work in public service. Outside of work I write stories, play soccer and jam on the guitar
Hi, my name is Stephen and I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for work. I'm starting a 6 month contract role in financial services and looking for a place I can call home whilst in Canberra. I'm easy going, organised and friendly. Some of my favourite hobbies include squash, bike riding and vinyl collecting.
I am a government IT contractor from Sydney. I don't smoke. I am a quiet and clean person. I won't be available most weekends as I will be traveling to Sydney. I enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation. I am looking for a place close to work (Civic). I like eating out, yoga, gym, bike riding, Netflix and movies. I am also looking for housemate with whom I can be good friends with and hang out.
