I'm friendly, quiet and clean. I enjoy hiking, running, snowboarding & hanging out with my dog Remi. I come from Melbourne and am moving to Canberra to work full time as a public servant and am also studying my masters of International Relations. I would enjoy having a chat or a beer with you but am also happy to have alone time. Remi is a 9 month old Australian Shepherd who loves people and other dogs. He sleeps outside but is very affectionate and will want to hangout with his roomates.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand ! I am up for a Skype if you consider it helpful, just send me a message.
I am 25 and work full time at the legislative assembly. I'm easy going and generally enjoy keeping to myself but enjoy a casual chat in the evening. I spend most weekends either out watching sport, playing myself (I play Aussie Rules and Ice Hockey) or just simply catching up with mates.
I'm a young lad from the beaches of east Australia with a love for graphic design and animation. I'm reliable, quiet and an easy talker. I've lived with many housemates in my two years in a share-house situation and I've met many fine folks along the way. I love old movies, good music and cooking great meals.
Hi :) I'm 25 and moving to Canberra for the first time on a temp contract on the 6th of August and need all the help I can get. I am looking for a short term to start off with and if I get extended, hopefully, longer term rental. As I don't know my way around yet, I am looking for something very close to work - Acton, Reid, Braddon and Turner would be ideal. However you have an apartment/house that is close to busses, and a short bus ride away, I'm definitely interested. Thanking you all in advance if you have read this and if you can help!! Lana
I'm moving to Canberra to begin a PhD at ANU. I lived in Canberra for four years during my undergrad but have been overseas for the last six months. About me: I study physics, I'm from NZ but moved to Australia almost ten years ago, I run competitively (and will often be out running in the evenings), love getting outdoors/hiking, and am keen to try growing a few veggies.
Hello, my name is Tim, I am a full time public servant 25 years of age. I am ideally looking for a place to live near Braddon, so I can walk or ride to work. About myself, I have been living in my current share house for around a year and a half. Unfortunately my room mates have decided to take the plunge, and move out with their significant others (like I am not good enough for them!). This, and the fact that the kettle keeps shorting the circuit board have convinced me its time to find a new place. I enjoy tea (hence why the kettle issue is such a concern), reading, computer games, and movies. I am also an avid music listener (don't worry I have headphones), and am always happy to discuss music with people. On the weekends I am generally found riding up and down hills on my bike, or lazing about in front of a screen. I am ideally looking for fun and friendly housemates who like to share a drink or a meal with each other, but also know when some alone time is necessary. If I sound like some one you might like to meet, please feel free to contact me. P.S I've listed a move out date of September 1st, but this is flexible.
Hey, We're two uni students looking to move out within the next couple of months! We're both clean and friendly, work and exercise and love to have fun but also respect others spaces!
Hi Flatmates, Joss H (housemate 2015/2016) said I am "Fun, easy going and relaxed. Love to laugh but also very responsible and well mannered". 2015/16 I was living back home in Western Australia working as an Events Manager but have made the move back to the east coast to attend Canberra University and work part -time in HR. I have been staying with family in Murrumbateman while I found my feet here in the ACT but the commute is starting to take its toll. In Wa I was living with some married friends one of which works in Brazil so one minute it was a girls house and for every second month its a mixed house (I'm adaptable). After growing up in Margaret River I enjoy a good vino instead of a night out.My old housemate Emma D always calls me up for a laugh and a good dance around the house when I'm home. I love cooking dinners to catch up with my housemates but also enjoy a good balanced household where everyone does their own thing. If you think you could live with an outgoing, caring human, send me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. *I have plenty of references if needed.
We are a chill, clean couple. We love cook-ups, gardening and bushwalking. We also value recycling, composting and trips to the farmers markets to buy cheeses to go with wine on the weekend. Happy to hang out and share dinners but respectful of privacy aswell. Not big fans of ordinary telly. Grace is public servant grad and Kieren is a graphic designer/animator. We are both well house trained. thank you kindly~
Work full time, like to head out some weekends, also enjoy staying in on the occasion with a movie or game. Like to stay entertained with people, music, sport, books, television, movies, walks, shopping, eating. I keep a pretty clean place but definitely not obsessive. I am very respectful of everyone and am pretty relaxed and friendly. Mostly non smoker but I can be guilty of the occasional cigarette or two. Been known to cook the best bolognese in town!
Kick ass location! 5 minute walk to Watson shops, 5 minute drive to Dickson. You can get to the city in about 10 minutes by car (20 by bike). The bus stop is super close too if you're brave enough to use public transport. Big yard, central heating, built-in wardrobes. It's basically a palace! Bond is $580. Rent is paid fortnightly. Bills are split. Dont pee in the shower. :)
ABOUT THE HOUSE Leafy, central Ainslie cottage backing onto the reserve. Less than 10min drive to CBD and 2min walk to bus station. Street or undercover parking Extensive garden with outdoor entertaining space (and a treehouse!) Fully furnished, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and separate toilet 3 huge communal rooms plus kitchen with central heating ABOUT THE ROOM Airy, mid-sized room with 2 wardrobes, large windows and optional furnishing (including double bedframe) Available from 1 Sept (negotiable) till Jan 2018 with possible extension
Two rooms are available in a modern share house in Watson. The house is on Antill Street near Dickson and the Australian Catholic University. The house comes with internet, gas cooking and heating, air conditioning, fridge, and dishwasher. There are 1-2 undercover car parking spaces, and enough off-street parking for the housemates and guests. Both rooms are unfurnished. One room has built-in cupboards. The other room has a free-standing wardrobe. The rooms share a separate toilet and shower. There's a garden, shed, and covered area out the back, which are great for summer parties and BBQs. There's also a washing line. During winter, monthly bills are: * $55 electricity * $35 gas * $30 internet Gas and electricity are cheaper in summer. The rental is limited to 3 adults by the landlord, so a couple would have to rent both rooms. (Occasional guests are ok.) No pets, no smokers. I'll be showing the house from 18 August onwards. Call or message me for an inspection!
Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve and is a short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. We have a warm and friendly homey home. We have interests in art, environment, politics, movement, self-development and cultural exchange etc. We tend not to watch much tv and would probably not be suitable for someone who is a large watcher. We value direct and thoughtful communication with each other and would expect that from people staying. We also value everyone contributing to keeping things around the house functional and the communal spaces clean and tidy :) The room is a large furnished spacious downstairs room. There is a comfy bed and loungesuite, private toilet, modest kitchenette (kettle and toaster provided) and direct access to back courtyard. There is central heating in the main house which we use thoughtfully however it doesn't extend downstairs so be prepared for a bit of chill!
Hi, We are both PhD students at UNSW Canberra looking for a couple of rooms preferably close to the centre of Canberra. We are looking for somewhere for the next 6 months-ish whilst we are both writing our theses. We are both respectful, friendly open guys, who are always up for grabbing a beer. Chris, 25, UK Hud, 27, Malaysia
Hi, I am a quiet, clean friendly girl who likes company and a chat but also really likes coming home at the end of day and spending time alone. I enjoy playing a bit of sport, relaxing with a wine and trashy tv and going out with friends. Whilst I enjoy being social but tend not to have friends over too regularly. I am clean and respectful, open and happy to chat about any concerns or requirements that you may have in regards to being housemates.
Hi everyone. I'm a clean, tidy professional moving to Canberra for a public service job. I'm quiet and spend most of my spare time studying or cycling, but I'm happy to join in with things as well. I'm looking for a place close enough to cycle to work in Russell.
Hi, I am Kim and I am relocating to Canberra to start an exciting new job in the arts industry. I am a very creative person, and have travelled a lot over the years, and so I tend to get along with people from all walks of life. I am looking for friendly and easy going house mates, who are independent, yet enjoy a chat. I am used to living in share houses in Australia and overseas, and I am cooperative and responsible in regards to the usual household duties and bills. I hope to find a place this or early next month. At home I like to play a little guitar, work on some craft or art, cook and have a chat when people are around.
