I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I am a full time graphic designer working at a firm in Mitchell. I have been moving around Canberra at the moment and would like to find somewhere I can settle into. I am keen for a social atmosphere but am also a big fan of a book and some down time. I have my doggo Beans, who has been living everywhere I do for 3 years now and is a fantastic housemate. We both enjoy running and camping, so might duck off every other weekend to do so. If the idea of a doggo both excited and scares you he is really well behaved, and is guaranteed to love any one that he meets - happy to give some references for his behaviour too!
I am an easy going guy. I enjoy hanging out with friends but respect the privacy of others. I am quite a tidy guy. I'll be working a lot of the time. So I would be out of the house a lot. I like to stay fit and healthy including eatting healthy and exercising. I'm hoping to become a personal trainer while I am currently working in security.
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I run my own Mac support business & have a part time retail gig which keeps me busy and financially secure. Creative and inquisitive soul... Enjoy the outdoors, travelling, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, eating (fairly) healthy. Seeking some funky folk to share with. Normally i'd start my own share house but this rental market is crazy. I'm looking for : inner north suburb preferably. Large room with space for queen bed, desk, bookshelf. Prefer a nice, relaxed and reasonably quiet (ie: non party till 4am every night) household where one can unwind and rest and sleep without interruption. Enjoy reading and listening to music, watching TV some nights (ABC / SBS / Netflix), playing acoustic guitar, tinkering around with creative musical projects, sharing a meal now and then, etc... Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Most of my friends are aged in their 30s so sharing around that age group would suit. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
I am a non-smoker, cleanliness loving person. Looking for a furnished/semi-furnished private room with personal bathroom. Want a female flatmate. No problem with pets.
Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
I'm an easy going tradie. Early riser to take my female Husky for morning walks. Outdoorsy kinda guy with a 4x4 Ute and a dirt bike. I can cook alright, keep to myself mostly, but like a good social drink and or a chat. Keep a clean room, but can put up with a bit for clutter. Love to try learn new things, and will also be getting back in to the gym once settled. Looking for a place for a minimum of 6 months for my pup and I.
My name is Bella, I'm 22 and I currently work full time in a consulting firm in Fyshwick. I love to cook, am clean, and love to socialise, but can understand if people need their own space. I am in need of somewhere new to live in Canberra for me and my fatlord of a cat. I'm trying to see if there were anyone people out there who are happy with living with said fatlord, who would be interested in seeking out a new lease in a pet friendly property. Alternatively, if you have a friendly house with a bedroom than needs filling, please let me know! I'd be happy to live with 1-3 other people, and live anywhere from inner north to weston creek or woden, or queanbeyan. I also have a toilet trained boyfriend who will visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
My name is Ahmed Mohammed, I'm 31 years old. I work as an assistant lecturer at my home University in Egypt. In the same time I'm an international PhD student at ANU, I study molecular biology at JCSMR. I'm a very quiet, clean, non smoking and tidy person. Currently, I live in Dickson and l'm in an urgent need for a long term accommodation close to my work place.
I am moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I already own enough house essentials (fridge, washing machine, lounge etc) to set up a home, I just need housemate/s to help pay the rent. I am only looking for housemates for a team up so we can rent a house together. I have lived in share houses for the last 15 years. I like a housemate/s who enjoy the community of a house and are willing to share meals and explore Canberra together. I am looking for housemates with secure employment and preferably somewhat near my age. I like board games, computer games, binge watching TV shows (Netflix etc), but also like to ride mountain bikes. I shall be in Canberra from the 10th of July and hope to move into a house in the next 3 weeks. I am happy to talk over email before then, and meet in person once I arrive in Canberra. I don't smoke or do drugs, and am happy to drink on occasions. I identify as LGBTI (m2f transgender). The suburbs I have listed are more of a suggestion, and am willing to consider other suburbs.
I am 24 and work and study part-time. I am clean, quiet and considerate. I love cooking and having the occasional dinner party, but I also really enjoy quiet nights in. I am looking to set up a place with a like-minded person.
Female, full time student, studying law. in my final year and applying for internships. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Hi! I am looking for a place to stay close to ANU preferably within 15 minutes from the university. I am joining ANU as a PhD student from end of June. I'm friendly, easy to get along with and like to keep the place where I live tidy. In my free time, I love to watch movies, play sports mostly football and cricket. I am from India and have lived in the Netherlands for 3 years. I have previously lived in a share house in Amsterdam. I always contribute to my share of housework and respect other people's privacy. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hey there! Moving out of my sharehouse in Hackett in July and looking for a room with some cool people :) Reasons why I reckon I'm great to live with: 1) Love to have conversations about everything. Seriously, from history/political events to the pineapple pizza debate (pro-pineapple btw), just pick a topic and go. 2) Aires; this month I will find a new beginning, so that's something 3) Banter game strong 4) Own a BBQ and cook some mean burgers (American mother, it's in my blood); can lend it to my friend if there's no space as well, no dramas. 5) Lived overseas (HK and Taiwan) for a collective 10 years before moving back to Australia for uni 6) Play a little bit of bass so any drummers/musicians in the house holla at your boy and lets jam 7) Spag bog is also in the repertoire 8) I'm very tall (can reach high shelves on request) 9) Mediocre at all things video game related 10) Board game fanatic (if you play chess, I'll wanna play all the time) 11) Queenslander I've lived in a few sharehouses before so I'm pretty well versed on the general etiquette (clean/tidy), but also know that each place is different and will go in with an open mind, keen to make some friends out of it cause if you can't be friends with the people you live with then that's just sucky. Send me a message if you think we'd get along and we can have a chat over a coffee/wine! Flexible with move in dates past July 1st
Hello! We are Clancy and Alice, a 25 year old queer-friendly couple from rural Australia who have been studying in Melbourne and traveling overseas the past 7 years. Since making a new life for ourselves in the Byron area, we’ve both been offered internships in Canberra from July 17 until August 18 – Alice at the National Centre for Indigenous Studies at ANU, and Clancy at the Green Institute. Having received this very exciting news, we’re now looking for a winter home! We’ve both lived in share houses a lot throughout Melbourne and Byron and enjoy communal spaces, interesting conversations, gardening, cooking feasts (we’re both plant based) reading, swimming, surfing and all other adventures. We aren’t massive party animals but do enjoy live music, dancing and night time antics, and also having people over. Being environmentally conscious and politically aware is something that's important for us, as is open communication and passion for all the great things in life! We can be flexible with dates (we have a place to stay if these dates don’t match up exactly) and are budgeting up to $300per week for a room. If this sounds like you, or you know someone who might have some extra space, we’d love to get in touch – just message us some details and we’ll give you a call. Hope to hear from you soon!
I don't have pets, clean and tidy, enjoy listening music, outdoors activities and traveling. Additionally, I am looking for the rent from 6 months onwards. Hey! I'm from Melbourne and I'm moving to Canberra to start studying at ANU. I'm tidy but not a clean freak and I'm always up for a good laugh or a chat. Ideally, I would like to live with people who I can consider friends and who are happy to hang out on the couch after a long day.
Hello Everyone! I am sadly departing my little Ainslie house, and looking to fill my room! It's in an excellent location, close to Aisnlie IGA (the best IGA in Canberra, and Ainslie cellars!!) And also close to Dickson shops (so many restaurants to choose from!) If you like the outdoors, it's close to the reservation and you have your pick of mountain to climb between Mt. Ainslie and Mt. Majura. Very close to a bus stop, and cycling to the city is fairly easy. Bills are split evenly every quarter, and unlimited internet is $20 each, monthly. Please let me know if you want to come and check out the room!
Full size house with a spare room for study/storage etc. The fireplace is an absolute delight on a rainy weekend. Large garden is great for entertaining and the place is close to Ainslie, Hackett and Watson shops. Its about 100m to mount ainslie and mount majura reserves for those nature/exercise lovers. Pls ignore the doggo, he is no longer at the property.
