My name is Molly, I'm 17 years old turning 18 in October and I'm studying psychology, ceramics, music, drama, and English at Dickson College (year 11 & 12). My income is Centrelink - Youth Allowance, although I'm actively looking for work in the Dickson and City area. I enjoy reading and gardening. I'm a pretty social person although I like to have some privacy, as does everyone. I'm not too bothered by mess although I know how to keep a place clean and enjoy tidying. I've been living in share housing since January 2017 and make a wonderful housemate, despite my age. :)
Hi, I'm a friendly, easy going, student in my second year of my PhD at the ANU. Ideally, I'm looking for a place where I can become friends with the people I'm living with though I'm also happy living with people that like to keep to themselves. I'm a bit of a workaholic so I may be a bit hard to come by during the week but I'm always willing to hang out on the weekends. Overall I'm a clean person but not obsessive about it. I'm also happy to fit into whatever house chores/cleaning arrangements that you already have set up.
I'm easy going, friendly, very tidy and conscious of others. I am a responsible person that will be able to fit in to anywhere I go.
Hi! I'm a 24 year old professional who is about to endure their second winter in Canberra after moving down from Queensland. I enjoy spending most of my spare time in the outdoors rock climbing, hiking, camping and mountain biking. I'm social yet also enjoy some me time, would enjoy long walks along the beach if Canberra had any, and am looking for housemates who have at least basic survival skills (keep tidy etc). Get in touch if you have a room and think I'd be a good housemate!
I am a visiting scholar at ANU. I and my wife are not noisy. Also, we are not smoky and alcoholic.
I’m a 19 year old kid who works full time for Apple in the city. I like to think of myself a chill guy who is into music and almost anything creative. I love meeting new people and getting to know them! I’m an outgoing person but can also respect others boundaries.
Hi. I am a student, planning to move to Canberra in mid July. I will be studying Full-time at ANU, doing my M.Sc in Neuroscience. I am a low-profile person, who will be spending most of his time either at college or at a part-time job. I am flexible with almost everything. Looking for a room, with close vicinity or good accessibility to ANU. If not close, there should be a bus station or other transit nearby. Term of stay is at least 2 months and preferably more. I might extend to even a year or more, if the stay is good. There should be good heating and air conditioning. I am flexible with parking.
Looking to join an existing share place - or start a new one! About me : Fully employed, financially independent. Well travelled & a bunch of life experience. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. Creative and inquisitive soul... If i'm not at home pondering the origins of the universe, i'm travelling, at work, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, or wherever the day takes me. Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Iideally : i'd be sharing with some awesome, creative type people, who enjoy a meal / get together, but who also respect each others space. The usual really. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
My name is Emilia, I've been in Canberra for almost a year now and work full time at a university. I'm looking to find a nice and friendly sharehouse that I can call my home for a little while :) I've sharehoused previously. I'm neat and tidy, I like to catch up and have a chat with housemates at the end of the day but also keep pretty busy trying to get out for a walk or some yoga after work, and respect the need for down time.
Hi, I am a current PhD Student at ANU. I am very social, fun-loving and willing to make new friends. And, more importantly, I would say I am too clean and tidy. I love cooking and also enjoy cleaning and housework. I am looking for a room in a house, preferably close to the university with no pets. Thank you.
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
I am a 22 year old chef. Hiking, eating out and drinking wine pretty much sums up my social life. Friendly, Reliable and easygoing, looking for a sharehouse that shares these qualities.
The best word to describe me would be relaxed. I get along with most people and am very accommodating of different wants and needs - I want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable in their home. I keep to myself for the most part but I'm always happy to chat and a laugh (about 80% of what I say is a joke, I'm having a tough time writing this up so seriously). I run my own business so I mostly work from home but I have an office in the city that I usually work from 2 days a week. Otherwise, I spend most of my time gaming, reading and listening to/making music (usually with headphones). I also love nature, climbing, hiking and camping. I'm a night owl, usually up until 3AM or so but I'm very quiet and make sure I'm not disturbing people. I'm a fairly neat and tidy person and I like to keep a clean kitchen but I'm definitely not a neat-freak. I've happily adjusted to different cleanliness standards before from very high to reasonably low and I'm more than willing to put in more effort if that's your preference. I believe most issues that pop up between housemates can be solved with good communication. I've lived in a few sharehouses in Canberra over the years, big and small groups and different gender splits, so I'm fairly experienced. If that all sounds good to you I'm sure we'll get along well :)
I'm relaxed, easy going and get along with almost everyone. I'm employed full time and run my own business. I keep to myself for the most part but am always happy to chat and laugh - most of what I say is a joke. When I am not working I'm usually out with friends and keeping fit. I keep things clean and tidy and always clean up after myself. I've lived in a few places, in small groups with different gender splits and have always happily adjusted. Feel free to get into contact!
Semi-furnished room now available in a comfortable and inviting Hackett home! There is evaporative cooling for summer and gas heating for winter throughout the house. There is also a large north facing sun room for chilling out and relaxing. Situated in a quiet tree lined street a five minute walk to local shops and public transport. There is off street parking if required.
We are looking for a happy, friendly housemate to share our home. About the room: Sunny, north facing room with a huge built-in wardrobe. It can come either furnished, or unfurnished. We have a wrought iron queen bed frame, a big wooden chest of drawers, and an antique wooden desk and chair we can offer. The mattress is really comfortable. About the house: It is a cosy and sunny house, with off-street parking, three bedrooms, a bathroom (both a bath and a shower), separate toilet, reverse cycle air-con, dishwasher, and bathroom heat lamps. There is also a big backyard with lots of fruit trees, a big organic veggie garden, a garage and bike shed, as well as a large front garden. About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along in front of the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction, or you can take the bus), and there’s a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to everything.
