Come and join us for 6 months - January to July 2020! Our place is a 3 story, 3 bedroom townhouse with 2 bathrooms. We have a deck with a BBQ for entertaining our friends, relaxing or enjoying a meal outdoors together. There is one shared off street car space that we share between the three of us. The garage can be used to store a few things but please don't bring the kitchen sink as the house is fully furnished. That being said, feel free to bring a TV if you have one as our current house mate will be leaving with the one we currently have. Your room will be on the first floor with a shared bathroom between yours and Tori's room. It is a very large carpeted room with a large 3 mirrored sliding door built in wardrobe. You will also have half of a linen closet for extra storage on the same floor. Our house is bike ride from town and beaches, a walk away from restaurants and pubs in Maryville and Carrington, and a few steps from the creek and waterfront park. We also have 2 cafes, a bottle shop, and a servo within a 5 minute walk.
Hi my name is Sammy, I am 24 and work full time as a journalist. I am moving to Newcastle in the new year for work and looking for a place to call home with awesome housemates. I have lived in shared houses for the last three years, so I am well house trained. I am a clean, considerate and friendly person. I am preferably looking for an unfurnished room as I have my own furniture.
I'm nearing my 4th year of studying secondary PDHPE teaching at UON, I love getting outdoors (beach, hiking), hanging out with mates doing whatever comes to mind; playing cards/board games, watching movies, going out to eat, going to gigs, having a jam (I tinker on the guitar), op shopping, and having an occasional bev and a boogie. Looking for a household that likes to get out and about, open to cook together sometimes etc, and have room for some plant babies and growing vinyl collection :)
23 years old, considering moving to Newcastle in the new year for a work opportunity. Would be working very early mornings (4-10 am) and therefore pretty easy to live with as I will either be at work or at home asleep! Have two cheeky cats that would be coming with me :)
Hello, my name is Caleb and I am a 25 year old male. I am about to start a new job as an electrical engineer in honeysuckle. In have spent the last two and a half years doing seasonal work in Canada and Australia. The last couple of seasons I have been full time ski patrol (mountain rescue if you are not familiar with the term ski patrol). At the moment I spend my free time rock climbing, running and playing guitar and piano. I am relatively tidy person but not what I would call a clean freak. For example I don't like having dirty dishes left on the bench overnight but on the other hand I don't vacuume very often. I am looking for room mates who don't mind having dinner and watching tv together. I enjoy the occasional party and enjoy having music playing most of the time but I don't want to live in a party house where there is regularly drunk late night shenanigans. I don't have any pets but I don't mind living with pets.
Hi I'm Emma, a PhD student studying medical biochemistry. I also have a friendly indoor cat called O'Malley who will be moving with me. I spend most of my time at uni (I'm there 8:30-5 weekdays), the beach, or cuddling my cat watching a movie. O'Malley and I have lived in sharehouses for the last 4 years and he's so sociable with people and other cats. I have lived by myself in a flat for the past 12 months and am looking for something more affordable. I'm a tidy person, and I'm pretty sociable. I love cycling, good coffee and brunch. I'm looking for a room with a wardrobe for all my clothing, with friendly, tidy housemates. Also happy to team up as I have all the basics for a home. I also make excellent vegan muffins!
Hi, I am Emily. I am an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse working full time. I study a management course. I also pet sit (at the pets home, not my home), if you are an animal person I am very happy to bring some fury friends over for a little play. I commute to Melbourne once a month. My partner has moved, I am in the process of transitioning, due to work commitments I am staying in Newcastle until the close of Stockton Centre (approximately June/july 2020). I currently live with one housemate and when our lease ends (beggining of March 2020) I am hoping to secure accommodation until my workplace closes (June/July 2020). I am flexible with living arrangements; as long as you are a nice person/group of people and there is a bed/my bed I'll be a happy chap. Me as a person (not just what I do formally): I love a good chat/or wine ;) Xbox/reading/board games Cooking - I always over estimate food amounts. Always leftovers, my current housemate has the delight of a packed lunch :p. Plants - veggies and indoor plants. (although I think the snails ate more of my veggies than I did this season). If you made it this far through my ramblings and think we should be acquainted flick me a message.
Hey! My name is Taylor. I work full-time for Defence and am moving to Newcastle at the end of November for work. I am ideally looking for someone who is pet friendly, clean, social and relaxed. I work Monday - Friday and on weekends I enjoy hikes, grabbing coffee, going to the beach and playing games. I'm very clean and tidy and will happily contribute to the household. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hey there! I'm Dani and currently I'm living on the Gold Coast looking to move to Newcastle for a new job from Dec-Jan. I'm flexible with my moving date it just depends on what I find during that period. About me: I'm organised and Monday to Friday will likely be keeping to myself. My work (law lecturer) can be very busy. However weekends are my free time so I'm always up for a cheeky wine and beach sesh! I'd love to live with people I can get along with and hang out with from time to time. I enjoy keeping fit and I go to the gym regularly. To live with: I'm a clean, relaxed and friendly person to live with. I'm also someone that respects people's space and understand that at times the place needs to be quiet. Easy going and will help clean without being asked. Makes a great platter for the occassional wine night also! 😊
Working as a bar attendant and relief manager while completing my studies at university. I consider myself pretty quiet and usually keep to myself, but always up for a beer. I mainly work weekends and nights, so I'm at home more through the day. I enjoy listening to music, reading and sports as well as going out or having friends over when I get the opportunity.
Currently studying primary School Teaching at UON. I work as a Lifeguard, and enjoy going out every now and again. Looking for a shared house, and don’t mind living with people with different lifestyles.
