I am Asian, live and work in Australia since 2000 just before Sydney Olympic. I have family and my own house in Sydney, NSW. I am working at CDU (Casuarina Campus, Darwin) now. I live and work myself in Darwin. I prefer to share with professional mates, students or staffs from CDU. I do not prefer female dominated house as I have very bad experience. I am a quite, polite, less socialising person. I am able to mixed well with any cultures but I need time to know each other very well. So far, I am not happy with where I live and paid. I need to relocate not very far away from CUD. If I am happy with room/flat, I will be deciding for long term rental. I will not be interested too much restriction in the house, maximum deposit (more than 2 weeks), longer contract in the beginning (more than 2 or 3 months). I just bought a second hand-car so I do need a parking place either inside or outside the house. I will only be moved in early morning of 7 May 2018. It is around 1:30 AM and I will be coming directly from Airport. If anyone who is interested to share your flat, please send a message to me before 15 April 2018. If you are thinking to rent a flat together, we can discuss and see how is going.
Just looking for a flexible sub lease, as I may be moving interstate some time this year. More than happy to keep paying rent until someone else takes my part of the lease if I need to move. I am a public servant on good money, and generally I'm very quiet. I like to keep to my room or get some sun in my spare time. Ideally looking for a quiet environment with people who are laid back. I'm very tolerant and have no problems with other peoples' lifestyles at all.
Hey I'm moving back to Darwin after a couple of years working in Katherine. I'm chilled, tidy and enjoy cooking when not too busy at work. I'll be working in the city and travelling to remote communities for bush courts every few weeks. Enjoy hanging out with mates, playing sport and going camping. Would be keen for a social house, but not an every weekend party house. If you have a dog already living at the house, that would be a huge plus for me! Cheers dan
- I have an air-conditioned room available in my elevated house, which is located in a very quiet court in Millner (no passing traffic). $160 per week. I have a large yard and it is a comfortable fully furnished home with queen size bed provided in room with built-in wardrobe. - House has lots of parks and open green space around it making for a pleasant area to live. Foreshore and beaches are nearby. - 95% of neighbours are owner occupier long term residents. - Lots of supermarkets, shops, cafes, local weekend markets are nearby. - I bike ride often and do lots of my commuting by bike as it is often faster and easier - Equal share utility costs. I have solar electricity panels and solar hot water system that greatly assists with reducing the cost of utilities bills. - Bond required. Rent 1 or 2 weeks in advance. - Public transport is nearby. Central to Casuarina (approx 4km away) and City (approx 8km away).
I am always working and when i am home i am usually kept to myself as i have 2 dogs. One beautiful 10 yr old Alaskan malamute who sleeps all day and my 6 yr old siberian husky. They both love other dogs and kids, dont chew or dig and just live a chilled out life.
Considerate, easy-going, open-minded, blunt and honest, active shiftworker. I'm a keen traveller and I don't like to be at home much but when I am, it's my haven. I love company but also appreciate my own space so happy to hang out sometimes but also do our own thing. I'm super clean, but my room is usually a mess however I ALWAYS maintain tidiness in the common areas and expect the same. As I'm moving from Sydney I would like a place with a spare room and a flatmate open to having friends/family staying occasionally. I do have a partner who I'd like to be able to stay sometimes but as he's not in Darwin it won't be every week. He's an ex-chef without a kitchen so this COULD be to your advantage... :D (I will also be staying at his place so you will have the place to yourself too). I don't have any myself but am happy to live with pets provided they're well-trained. One thing I won't budge on is you must be a non-smoker. I'm still umming and aahing about furniture and whether I should bring mine or not so will see what pops up (furnished or unfurnished). I do love reading though so would love to bring a bookshelf with stacks of books.... Ideally I'm looking for something with space and an outlook. It doesn't have to be a "view" as such but just open. A built-in is a must and the best air-conditioning available! :D My job starts on 16MAY so happy to do short term or stay the whole year, depending what comes up.

Hi everyone, my name is Jette and I’m a 26 year old PhD candidate from Germany. I will work full time at the CDU from 1 June to 30 November funded by a scholarship. I'm a nature and beach lover and I’m looking forward to my time in Darwin - but first I need to find an accommodation! I will be quite busy with work because I need to make progress with my thesis - so I would prefer a quite place. I’m an easy-going, reliable and calm but cheerful person. I like to spent my free time outside, drinking a coffee and discovering the city/nature. To keep myself fit I go jogging but sometimes I prefer to relax on the comfy sofa as well. The weather in Darwin will be challenging for me, but I will try my best to stay active ;) I would be happy to hear from you!

Hi all! We are Jack and Laura, two europeans freshly arrived from New Zealand (Hope that's confusing enough!) Jack is a victim of the Brexit and I am an exiled camembert. We are both looking for great flatmates and a place to call home in Darwin! We are very laid-back, clean and respectful and we love sharing meals and bottle(s) of wine with flatmates! Jack is a football fan that loves statistics (nerd!), gambling, cats, pigeons and beers. I am a very passionated homecook/baker and a very shy ukulele occasional player. We would love to meet you (yes you!)! Extra points if you have a pet chicken, a dog, a cat or a game console! See you soon!
I have just started a FIFO role on a 2 week on 2 week off roster and will be moving from Perth to Darwin early to mid June to cut the number of flights i have to take in half. I'm an easy going Australian chick who is happy to have a glass of wine and nibbles with my housemates but I also really enjoy just chilling out in my room reading a book. I'm a clean and respectful housemate having lived in shared accommodation since leaving for university at 18.
Heya, I am 27 year old from Ecuador, backpacking Australia on a working holiday visa until April 2019. Ive just gotten a job in Casuarina and will be there for the net 6 month so I am looking for my new home somewhere in Darwin. I enjoy a happy life, I am quiet and enjoy music very much. I read on my time off and go on hikes when time allows. I practice yoga a couple of times a week and enjoy gardening if there is space for it. You'll find me dancing around even to silence. If you have pets that is A-Okay with me I love animals. I am landing in Darwin on Wednesday 18th and will start work on Thursday. If you have anything for me let me know and ill come visit the house! Thanks a mill, Chiara
I am an outgoing person, just moved to Darwin for a job. I will pretty much be out of the house all day during work days in the week. I am happy to share meals together sometimes or even go out for a few drinks on the weekend if you’re interested. I am mostly interested in finding a housemate for teaming up on a new rental property whether furnished or unfurnished although am open to other rental options
Originally from Sydney but I’ve just returned to Aus after spending the last year in Mexico and Cuba, and working in Mexico as a refugee lawyer. I've just moved up to Darwin to start a new job as a community lawyer, so I’m looking for a new home up here. I’m an adventurous, active, and social person, and I’m a respectful, clean and mature housemate. I enjoy hanging out with housemates and having the odd drink or a few and dinner together and sometimes the odd party at home, but I’m not looking for a party house as I’ll be working full time professionally. I have travelled a lot, lived in several other countries, and I speak Spanish. I also love salsa dancing, and being in the outdoors incl hiking and camping, and I’m always keen to try new things. I’m 31.
The property is located in sort after Suburb of Jingili. Which is good central Suburb between City and Casuarina. Being only 5 minutes drive to Casuarina Shopping Centre, Charles Darwin University and another couple of minutes to Darwin Hospital. Good central location for Students, Doctors, Mid-wifes and Nurses; or any professional worker. For any FIFO persons it is only 5 minutes bike ride down Rothdale Rd to the Darwin Airport, and 3 minute walk to Darwin Airport Tavern for lovely meals, friendly beverage or a go on the Pokies. I prefer to have a mix of males and females, and Couples are invited to apply as all bedrooms are furnished with Double or Queen beds etc.
1 bedroom available in elevated house. Room can be furnished or unfurnished and has built in robes. Views over looking pool and lush tropical garden. They are air conditioned and have a ceiling fans. The rest of the house is tastefully furnished and is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Rent includes electricity, NBN, foxtel and Netflix. A cleaner comes once a fortnight along with a gardener. House has a resident staffy that is extra friendly and the property also has 3 chooks, so always lots of eggs! There is a breezy, undercover common area with couches, day bed, television plus bar and bbq area. Very close to Nightcliff markets and shops and the Nightcliff foreshore is across the street . Sorry, no couples or pets.
