I'm relocating from metropolitan Melbourne to commence an APS graduate programme in February 2017. I'm perhaps different to other flatmates, may be its an age thing or maturity. I'm a Taurus if that means anything to some, it just sums up in abbreviation as to what kind of person I am. For fun... I'm into computers, computer games, gadgets and highly sophisticated toys (gadgets... again). I like landscape photography, cycling (road, mtb or electric). I also like racket sports (e.g. Squash, Badminton), gym and also driving in addition to exploration and getaways. I generally keep to myself and will either ride, walk or drive to work.
Im a very clean and tidy person, my room does become a mess at times but who's doesn't, I'm very trust worthy and reliable, I expect others to be the same. I'm easy to get along with, I do keep to myself but I don't mind a chat. I moved from a small town called Lake Cargelligo in NSW and moved to Canberra for my job, I'm employed as an Early Learning Educator at Guardian in Forde. I love my job, my interests are: - hanging out with my friends - having a social drink - im abit of a gamer nerd - love to gym - and my dog shiloh, she is my pride and joy - also love to shop
Jermaine, looking for a place to call home with some people that I would like to eventually call friends! I work Full time, Mon-Fri! Play Rugby union, guitar and just love listening to all types of music! Easy going, keen for a laugh. But also respect others space!
Hi, we have a lovely large furnished room available for short term from 29th Jan to 9th Feb. I am a professional working at ANU and would like to share this lovely house located in Dickson. The house is located in a quiet, convenient location and is very clean. It has two single rooms and one double room, one kitchen, one toilet, one bathroom. The house and bedrooms are fully furnished, also equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, gas heating. The house has a large backyard and garage (fit two cars and some bikes). Dickson center is a 10-minute walk and it takes 8 minutes to get to Canberra City/ANU by bus. We are all friendly students and professional in our 20s and 30s; we enjoy chit-chat at dinner time and sometimes cook hot-pot together as a social bonding. Now we have one large room available from 29th Jan 2017, with large built in wardrobe and sunshine window, equipped with bunk bed (can change to double bed for free if required), desks, chairs, etc., suitable for couples or two friends who want to save money. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own furniture if you want. The rent will be $240/week for TWO people taking the room, and $220 for ONE person. Bonds are four weeks rent. Internet (ADSL2+), water, gas and electricity bills are split which is around $10/w in summer and $20/w in winter. We prefer someone who is student, or young professional, mature, clean and respect other people's privacy. Long term rent is preferred. If you are interested, please leave me a message with a brief introduction about yourself. We are looking forward to meet our new housemates!
Furnished two bedroom modern apartment located on a quiet and well-situated street close to Northbourne Ave (and the Red Rapid bus to Civic, Kingston, Barton), parks and bike trails. Less than 5 minutes to both Dickson and Lyneham shops. Between 5 and 10 minute drive to Braddon and Civic. Features: - Two spacious balconies - Built in appliances (dishwasher, dryer) - Queen-sized bedrooms - Ample street parking Shared electricity and internet. It would be perfect for a recent transplant or new grad. Currently furnished slightly differently from display pics.
I'm a PhD student looking for 3 months of accommodation in Canberra. I'm into triathlon, yoga, cooking, health and fitness etc, I'm an early morning/early to bed type. I'm pretty quiet though and try to be a mindful flatmate!
New to canberra, work in sport. Love good chat, drink, food, binge watch + shoulder and ear available to hear the tials and tribulations of the day. Have my little buddy 'rudy' 1yo westie puppy who is too cool to handle.
Hi! I am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to start a grad program next year. I worked as a doctor for two years but have decided for a bit of a career and geographical change! I am an easy going person who likes clean shared areas (but not OCD) and have lived in share houses for the past 6 years with no problems. I would love to live in a house where people like to socialise i.e. grab coffee/have a drink after work/share occasional meals. I'm looking for more of a "home" than a room to rent.
I am a fun, bubbly, soon-to-be PhD candidate at ANU who spends a lot of time throwing frisbees (I play Ultimate Frisbee)! I'm tidy, an environmentalist and love having adventures, playing games and taking pictures. I hail from Sydney and Wollongong, but have lived in Canberra for the past year. Looking to stay somewhere between Lyneham and ANU, give me a buzz!
Hello! I'll be moving from Darwin to study Anthropology at ANU. I'm currently doing youth work, which I love, but I'm also really looking forward to returning to uni. I grew up in Melbourne, but coming now from Darwin, am probably one of the few newbies to Canberra anticipating a great number of things on...! I am relaxed and considerate, clean, independent and social-ish. I'd like to live in/make a 'home.' I love doing things at home (sewing/fermenting indoors and growing outdoors) and exploring walks, cinema, and gigs beyond.
Hey, I'm Colin. I'm 23 and I'm moving to Canberra for a job in the APS. I was born in Washington DC but grew up in Canberra and came to Melbourne about 5 years ago. I'm super easy going and friendly, enjoy going out with friends but not a huge partier ("perfect combination of cool and not annoying" - current housemate, 2016). Working full time so I won't be coming and going at all hours. No weird/loud hobbies just a lot of TV watching and reading. I've also been living out of home for 5 years so I'm pretty used to picking up after myself and I cook pretty regularly.
I'm a 4th year UC student starting my second degree this year, I also work part time. Love to socialise but do also enjoy time to myself. Very clean and respectful of other people and their personal space. Ideally looking for somewhere close to the city but would be happy with anywhere northside. Ready to move in anytime in January.
I am a 5th year student at ANU and have just returned from 3 semesters overseas. I am a very independent, friendly, relaxed person. I like doing my own thing but also very much enjoy socialising with others. Easy-going and adaptable :). I will be heading back to Canberra in mid January so am available to see the house and meet the housemates from then :). Thank you!
Hello there! I'm looking for a new home in Canberra inner-north! I am looking to move in early 2017 and can be flexible with move dates (sometime in January suits well though). A bit about myself, I am a mid twenties female who has lived in Canberra for the past 6 years. I moved from my hometown of Darwin for study, and then have stayed on for work. Also, because Canberra is such a nice place to live! I am a full-time public servant working with the Arts. Outside of that, my hobbies include running, mountain biking, yoga, heading to markets, cooking market spoils, live music, films, and art exhibitions. I keep myself busy and appreciate having a friendly, relaxed home to come back to. I enjoy swapping stories and catching up with housemates over a drink, dinner, chocolate, or TV. I've lived in share houses for the past couple of years. I am a tidy, considerate person and happy to do my part of the chores. I am also good at the balance of spending time with housemates, but also appreciating that sometimes quiet time is great too. If any of this sounds like it would fit in well with your home, apartment, townhouse, then please get in touch with me! Look forward to hearing from you, Aine
Hi there, I'll be moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for an APS graduate position. I'm a social and mature person who's easy to get along with. During the week I usually like to keep to myself but don't mind a drink with friends every now and then. I enjoy cooking, travelling, spending time outdoors, listening to music but also do love a good night in. I really look forward to settling into Canberra and moving in with someone who has the same idea of what makes a good flat mate.
Hi folks, I'm moving from Perth to Canberra for a job starting early Feb. I'm an easygoing, clean gal and am sharehouse trained. I love gardening, especially growing my own veg, cookups, wine and endless cups of tea. Looking for a house with others who are social but not a party house somewhere in the inner north.
Hi, I'm Emanuela and I'm 22 years old. I'm looking for a share-house. I'm an Italian girl and I'm friendly, smiley and a positive person!! I like live in a good place, such as a clean and tidy environment.
Hi! I'm looking for a new sharehouse since my current lease is ending. I'm a uni student at ANU studying Arts/International Relations as well as work part time as a pharmacy assistant. I love cooking, catching up with friends over some wine and putting together Ikea flatpacks. Send me a message if you have a room or if you'd be interested in forming a sharehouse.
I have a fun, friendly and out-going personality! I enjoy a good catch-up, yarn, perhaps dinner together once or twice a week (particularly if we enjoy eating the same kinds of food and our schedules correspond), but I also appreciate everyone needs their space! I like keeping spaces clean, tidy and organised! I am pretty active, I like bush walking, dancing, yoga, swimming, kayaking, sailing (I have a friend in Canberra with a small yacht). I love my job -- I work in media! I am also studying toward my second degree part time. I like seeing live bands and listening to Triple J! I like to keep up with what's going on in the world, and I enjoy lively conversation!
I'm 19 and have just moved from Perth a month ago. I have a job in franklin. I don't drink or smoke, I'm pretty quiet so I'll probably spend most of my time in my room, at work or I'm happy for a bit of socializing as well of course. I do need a room that is able to comfortably fit a queen size bed frame, but apart from that I'm pretty open to seeing my options. Look forward to hearing from you! :)
I am a cheerful and friendly person who has just recently graduated. I love pets both cats and dogs so living with them wouldn't be a problem at all for me. I am heading into full time work within the financial industry and am moving from Sydney to Canberra. I am quiet and clean person :) 0
Hay! I'll be moving down to Canberra from Brisbane to study at ANU. Flat mate pro's: - Have a Netflix account! - Can cook a fairly decent breakfast! - Don't mind giving you lifts to places - I have some books you can borrow if you want?
I am moving from Brisbane in early Feb 2017 to start a new role, so I'm looking for shared accommodation with some friendly people in Canberra. I've been renting for a few years in Brisbane, so I'm very good at cleaning up after myself, and I'm comfortable living with either guys or girls. As a housemate I am tidy, friendly and considerate, and I am looking for housemates with similar qualities. In my free time I try to get outdoors and go for a walk/hike, and love spending time with friends. Also love getting stuck into a good Netflix series! I have a good sense of humour and I enjoy a good laugh, and don't mind the occasional wine. I'm looking for an unfurnished room, and as a bonus I also come with a couch and front-loader washing machine! (but can put those in storage if they're not needed). I can flexible with my move-in date starting from 4 Feb, but looking to be moving by 19 Feb at the latest. If you think I might be the right housemate for you, I'd love to hear from you
Hi, I'm Phoebe, a first year ANU student. I'm studying PPE and Art History and work a part time job which keeps me pretty busy. I'm looking for a place with my friend Alastair, also a student. We're both clean and respectful people who are open to sharing dinner and a glass of wine but also having our own space :)
I am a current honours student at the ANU. I am looking to join an existing sharehouse or team up and start a new one. (I'm really flexible with move dates pretty much anytime between now and February would be fine) I play and/or watch just about every sport, and love, relaxing at home binge watching tv shows and movies, having quiet nights in with a few quiet drinks and good company, And having nights out. I am always up for a chat or a few laughs and am almost always happy to cook. During the summer I am often traveling or skiing overseas otherwise I'm home most of the time. You should message me if you are looking for a fun , friendly , tidy, experienced, and organised housemate.
I am a government IT contractor from Sydney. Currently secured a 6 months contract in the city. I don't smoke. I am a quiet and clean person. I won't be available most Saturdays and Sundays as I will be traveling to Sydney. I like to socialise with my housemates by going out and having dinner sometimes. I spend my after work hours at the gym, yoga, cycling, movies and reading books. I also like to cook occasionally.
i'm a geographer from melbourne starting a phd in sociology at anu. i come with a bike named nimbus. i like films and i'm currently making a documentary of my own. i speak german and mandarin. i enjoy baking, but don't think i'm very good at it. i like bouldering. if you've got one, i would love to be involved in a veggie garden!
I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne to start a graduate position at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. Looking for a laid-back, chill but tidy and respectful established household. I am a clean, pretty laid-back individual! I love a good Netflix binge, inviting friends over for dinner and drink or two and engaging in a good discussion about current world affairs. Am into films, festivals and gigs and keen to see how Canberra compares to Melbs. Do enjoy hiking, am trying to get active again and love using my bike for commuting. Let me know if you're interested! PS I actually have no photos of me by myself right now, so that's me with my lovely trekking guide in Vietnam.
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
I am an easygoing person, very clean and pretty thoughtful. I will go out of my way to ensure I do not create mess or fuss in the house and I will be studying and working at the same time so will not likely get in peoples way. Looking forward to living with people that are also easygoing and fun loving.
I'm an incoming PhD student at UNSW Canberra. I'm moving from Chicago, so I don't know anyone (although I have friends in Sydney). I'm very social and will probably want to throw small get-togethers every now and then. Very good about chores and dishes and whatnot. Tidy enough without being a neat freak. I'm a pretty decent cook and I'm enthusiastic about sharing my food. I'm ok with pets but I don't mind a non-pets place.
Hello. I'm hoping to move out of my current sharehouse anytime from the 1st January - March, to somewhere in the inner north with a bit of garden space (I'm keen to start a veggie patch). Ideally somewhere with 2-4 other housemates who don't mind the occasional shared dinner and a good chat. I work full time in the public service, and am keen on trips to the markets/op shop, cooking, trying to garden and watching if you are the one with a gin and cran. if you've stumbled across my profile and think your place may suit me, shoot me a message :)
