Hello :) I've lived in Hobart for the last 3 years, having also lived in NSW, QLD and NZ. I finished my degree last year, and now work full time as a social worker. I'm a relatively quiet-natured person, but am always up for a good conversation, especially over a hot drink. I'm considerate of other peoples space, and like to keep a home tidy. I'd like to find others who are okay with having guests around from time to time... But nothing too big and crazy! In my free time I love to be outdoors - whether at the beach or on a hike. I also enjoy writing, reading and cooking. Plan A would be to begin a sharehouse with 2-3 others... Not couples though. I have some of the essentials (fridge, good vacuum, kitchenware) and would be happy to get some more. I'm flexible as to the move date. Would prefer a women's only house... But open to mixed. Send me a message if you're interested in starting a new share house! Cheers. :)
Hi, I'm Jen. I graduated last year from UTAS with a Bachelor of Social Work and currently have casual work. I am looking to start a share house in Hobart not too far from the city with two other like-minded women. Looking for housemates that are friendly and want to keep a clean house. I like to go for walks and workout at the gym. I also enjoy cooking and baking and will let you try my creations. I don't mind the occasional drink with friends and it would be nice to have friends over sometimes. I enjoy being social with others and time by myself. I have a car so need somewhere that has adequate parking. I have my own bedroom furniture but it would be great to find someone that has furniture or find a place that is partially furnished. Send me a message if you are interested in starting a share house in Hobart or looking to move to Hobart around early May. :)
I'm 25 and work full time in North Hobart! I'm easy going, tidy and easy to get along with. I go to the gym most nights after work so I'm barely home. I'm looking for a room to rent in a house or a one bedroom flat if available. I live with two other guys at the moment so I'm used to sharing a space. Coffee and treats lover
I'm in my mid 20s. I work in IT and I am studying Community Support. I'm gay. I'm looking for a room in a great sharehome, or a group of people who want to work together to set something awesome up. Ideally within walking distance of either the city or the UTAS Sandy Bay campus - but a short bus ride near lots of routes is good too. I'm really keen on finding a home with people who share my values. When I'm not working or studying I like to play games, do crafts, read, and socialise. I love listening to and playing music. I like a friendly and social household, where people can hang out together and cook shared meals - especially a BBQ! I like a respectful household where shared spaces are always welcoming. I like to chat and hang out, but I also like to be able to have space when I want. I'm a big fan of communication. I also am keen on sharing the cost of a cleaner. I don't have very much in the way of furniture, but I do have bedroom stuff plus a TV and surround sound, some consoles, a NAS, and a fantastic Wi-Fi system. I also have a good internet plan that I would be keen to transfer to my new address. I like to be able to have guests over occasionally, and who can sometimes stay for a night or a few.
Hiya, have recently accepted a job in Hobart working for local government in the arts and I’m now on the hunt for a room in a quiet, friendly place which I can call home. I am 30 years old female graphic designer who is house trained, is always happy to help out around the house, I don’t smoke and I don’t have any pets. I’m laid back, a good listener and I find it easy to get along with people. I’m originally from New Zealand (so don’t let the accent stump you) but, most recently, I’ve been living in Launceston. I love getting out and hiking/camping. I enjoy music, the arts, a good cup of coffee and I’m usually keen to try something new.
Since moving back to the lovely Apple Isle from the sunny Far North Queensland coast, Lexi (beagle x lab) and I are looking for a place to call home. We both come house trained and since i work mostly night youll hardly know we are there. We sleep throughout the day. Lexi has been brought up inside and so she has propper house ettiqute but she is ok in a secure backyard if needed. We hope we can tick all of your boxes and can find somewhere to call home.
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant seeking a place to raise my child. I have immaculate references and am currently living in a share house in Glenorchy. I work at Mona Art Museum and will continue to do so after baby is born. Ideally my perfect house would be a studio or two bedroom or semi-detached house as I don't think living in a share house with a newborn is ideal. I am a quiet woman who keeps to herself.
We are a family of three. Me , my partner and our daughter of 9yr old. We are trying our luck here as a skilled 489 visa.. we just arrived a couple of days ago and we are looking a flatshare or a small house. We Re kind, neat, honest, jolly, hardworking and simple family hoping to share with someone or leave on our own in a small house. Please take into consideration that we will be working as soon as we found one and our daughter will be at school. We have Allotted for the lodging or house while staying here so don’t yah all worry.
Quite quiet, but quite quietly annoyed by quite a lot of people on this site not knowing the difference between quiet and quite!!! I tried to stay quiet on this, but quite frankly it's quite hard to sit quietly and watch these crimes against basic use of the English language! (& it's quite often native English speakers who do it!!!). Hi, I would either like to join an established share house with my friend (so we need 2 rooms - 2 women in our 40s) or apply for 2 bedroom places with 1 other person (I think with same friend), so if u have a 2 bed place anywhere from Margate to New Town/Moonah let me know!. (NB: I have lovely old male cat). I am open-minded, green-minded, in my 40s, love music, like questioning the status quo, and care about people and the world we live in :-). I am quite quiet, but I am not into a fully soulless non-interactive household.
Hey, I am new in Tassie and look for a room. I was a Medical scientist in VIC but I am back to study at the moment. I am very easy going, clean, quiet, tidy and respectful. I also like to chat and share meals with my housemates..oh..oh..I have a good sense of humour, too :)
My girlfriend of 3 years and I are looking for shared accommodation and to create a humble abode. We relish in meeting new like-minded people. We are not party animals, but we do enjoy hanging out with friends for social drinks and game nights. We are both avid cooks, who love getting involved in the kitchen with a willingness to share and learn new recipes. We also know how important it is to keep a clean and tidy household in order to prevent conflict and promote well-being, which is something we have practiced in all of the houses we have lived in thus far. I have just finished a bachelor's degree in environmental science on the north coast of NSW, and will be starting a master's in planning at UTAS. I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors and hiking, kayaking and fishing. I also love taking it easy by watching films, reading books and chatting about philosophical ideas and sharing the human experience. I think you will find that I easily mold into my surroundings and practice open and clear communication. Cello is currently studying a Bachelor of art and design degree, and will be transferring over to UTAS to finish it off. Cello is a open and creative minded person who is always willing to having a conversation and participate in housemate activities. She takes great pride in cooking for others and sharing her recipes passed down by her Spanish ancestors. We are willing to both occupy a room together, but are also open to having a room each if that is more appropriate. Our current plan is to find a place around late July/early August.
I'm super friendly, easy going, clean and love to kick back with a glass of wine. I'm not a party animal, I am sociable but I also need to have my own space. I have lived in plenty of share houses over the years and I also own my own place up in Brisbane so I am respectful of others and their property. I am all about living in tidy house :) In my spare time I will be out exploring Tassie! I love spending time outdoors hiking, walking my dog, gardening and socializing. My dog is a 2yr old small Maltese x Poodle called Paisley. She is very friendly, clean, well trained and quiet!! She takes up no space and is a just a hilarious little pup. She would love to have a fenced backyard. I am moving down to Hobart around the 7th May from Brisbane. I have gotten a fulltime job in Hobart working Mon-Fri between the hours of 8-8. Can't wait to hear from you all :)
Hi! My name is Chunming form Taiwan. I am an International student and study in TasTafe. I have a small size dog. His name is Laifu and he is a Shiba-Inu. Laifu is a lovely and friendly dog. He will bark when strangers too close to our house otherwise he will be very silence the whole day. We are looking for a house if you have any space for us that will be great and we are thankful for your help! My landlady Glendy would like to be our referee. If you need her number to know us, I would like to offer her number.
The room is of a decent size and can easily fit a double bed, desk, bookshelf, etc and also has its own little built in wardrobe. Super close to Coles New Town and multiple options for bus routes. 1.5 k to North Hobart strip. The house has solar hot water which keeps help electricity costs down as well as an excellent and recently serviced heat pump/aircon. Nearly every area of the house has been renovated in the last 12 months and is completely furnished with new appliances, the room however is not furnished. The house is owned by a family member and landlordy responsibilities are shared between them and myself. The internet is $30 a month and there will be $600 bond required. We’re offering a six month lease.
Hi, I am very clean, and organised and have excellent references. Would love to have a granny flat with garden and plenty of light. I am flexible. Hopefully there is a place for me to treat as my own. Would share a property also if suitable. Love to hear from you if you have something similar or same. Thanks
Hi there, Ex-Tasmanian (from the NW coast) making the move back to the island after a few years on the mainland. Looking for a place in the inner suburbs of Hobart that is cosy, warm and shared with some fantastic people. Be looking to move in late April, am flexible though. Very much pro-pets. A little about me: Making the move back to Tasmania after university and working in Melbourne. I've always loved Hobart, and have decided to bite the bullet and shift down to be closer to the beautiful Tasmanian landscapes and home. Will be working, and possibly studying, which will take up a fair bit of time. In my free moments, I love bushwalking, reading, keeping fit, having a drink or two, getting out and about and meeting people and sharing stories. I'm fairly social, but know when quiet time is necessary. I'm a man who is into men, so if that's an issue, best to skip me. Years of sharehousing has made me, I think, a solid choice in housemate - I'm tidy, I love gardening, and I enjoy making a house a home in a respectful way. No problems on the paying bills and rent on time front either. Give me a go, and you won't be disappointed. Dylan :~)
Hi I'm Alex and I'm 21 and have just moved down working as an apprentice diesel mechanic in Hobart. On weekends I like to spend time outdoors, playing footy or going mountain bike riding, and dont mind a quiet social drink on the weekends. I'm a clean and respectful person, who pitches in and helps out with all the domestic duties around the house. I'm looking for somewhere to stay in and around the Greater Hobart area, with like minded people.
I’m a quiet student that keeps to myself, although I do love a good dance around and some entertaining banter. I’m also slightly coffee addicted. I am an online student studying a diploma in business and I run a small art business, I receive Centrelink payments as my main income. I do have a cat, her name is Avocato. She is trained and is an indoor cat, she tends to only go outside when she is on a harness and lead. Both myself and my cat do come with rental references. I’m 18 years old but I have been fully independent and living out of home since I was 15 due to a family situation. Because of this I am more mature than expected, I don’t really party or anything like that either. I’d love to hear from you, Jenna
We are a nice and friendly brazilian couple looking for a nice place to live and some good friends. We are easy-going persons, non smokers (no problem to live with someone who smokes though) and mostly quiet, but who enjoy a bier or two with a barbecue on the weekends. We like outdoor activities, especially going to the beach and travelling, and would enjoy a company to do that activities with as well.
Hi, my name is AVI Male,27 Non-smoker No pets 1 car I work for coles Sorell. I am looking for a shared or individual accommodation and I study in Hobart CBD as well. I am clean, quiet, busy person, mostly keeping to myself. But would not mind fun housemates. Please let me know if it is still available thanks
Hi. I'm a single male who works in a winery in the Coal River Valley. I am looking for accommodation anywhere from Richmond to Cambridge, eastern shore or inner suburbs of the western shore. I am easy going, enjoy music, gardening and movies. I have share housed for many years and am looking for a place for a year or more. I would also consider granny flats, single apartments or living with a family.
After two years around Australia, I landed in the beautiful Hobart where I will study for two years leadership and management. I previously studied chemistry in Italy and did research in lab. Now I'm here to study management. I have many interests, I like hiking, wine tasting, dance, fishing.
