- Working full time in Canberra - Pretty active, enjoy watching movies, reading - Relaxed, laid back, easy going, likes to keep things organised - Happy to chat and socialise but value my own space (hence I can appreciate other people's need for their own space) , more of a quiet weekend person
I am traveling to Canberra around 10 Feb, pursuing my Phd degree and looking for a private room in a share house. I am easy going, Considerate, tidy and clean. major part of the time and attention will be dedicated to my studies and researches to fulfil my ambition. Moreover, talking and catching up at the free time are part of the life.
Hello there! I'll be moving to Canberra from Sydney at the end of January next year to work for the APS. I'm super easy-going, very organised and tidy, and totally a people person (but I simultaneously completely love and respect the concept of "me time"). When I'm not working, I love being outdoors, especially if it's anything water-related, or hanging out at home and watching TV with a cup of tea :)
My name's James, 25 years old and a teacher (high school). I'm a sort of shy (sometimes seen as aloof) person at first but once I get to know people I like to think I'm a friendly and kind roommate. In all honesty I probably spend too much of my time watching sport (particularly during AFL and NFL seasons) but I also love to read (English teacher) and and experience cinema/prestige television. When I have the time I also ride my bike and enjoy exploring the roads of Canberra while listening to a podcast as well.
I'm moving from Melbourne in late Jan/early Feb to start a full-time job in the public service and currently looking for a room in a share house. I am very easy going, tidy and sociable. I love to hang out and have dinner with housemates, but am also happy to do my own thing and very respectful of others' space. I am only moving up with bedroom furniture so wouldn't crowd a share house with lots of things, but equally I am happy to purchase communal furniture/appliances if needed! I enjoy cooking, reading, going out for coffee or meals with friends, being outdoors and exploring new places.
I'm a full time IT guy in the public sector who has being in Canberra for about a year now. I'm pretty out and about socially but am also fond of chilling out in my room after work or having a quiet dinner and board game/TV night with friends. A few of the things I have being enjoying in Canberra is going hiking and picnicking in the national parks, I'll basically live at the snow once the season is back in and otherwise enjoy the occasional weekend down at the coast in the warmer part of the year. One of my current hobbies is seeing how much chocolate I can cram into various baked goods. I like to keep a tidy house and am looking for people who also enjoy tidiness as well as a healthy mix of sociability and privacy :)
Hi, I'm a Melbournian who moved up to Canberra early on in the year. I work time full-time in the public service, but I'm always down for a drink and a boogie during the weekends. I enjoy going pole dancing, having coffee catch ups and going on non-sensical rants.
2 adventurous people moving to the ACT area in January 2019. Both full time work, one a Teacher and the other an Electronics technician, very friendly, clean and easy going. Looking for inner city, North, Belconnen or Acton Fit and healthy, we both like to cook delicious food, chill out over some wine and being outside. Well travelled, we are settling down in the ACT, looking for a friendly like minded couple who are relaxed and are hoping to share a house with. We have two friendly dogs.
Heya, I am witty, respectful, reliable, smiley and multicultural. I love doing exercises in the gym and reading books in my spare time. Before I moved to Canberra, I have travelled to many places in the world - would love to share these experiences with my future roomies! :) As I am going to graduate from ANU this December, sadly that I have to leave my on-campus accommodation in which I met many friendly and talented residents. Upon my graduation, I am looking for a long-term lease (12 monthes+) that close to civic. In addition to that, I am keen to stay with nice and responsible tenants to keep our place a homy one. Though I keep to myself at most of the time, I don't mind spending quality time with roomies occasionally. I don't have furniture, pets, car or bicycles. I am open to teaming up.
Hi! I'm Ellen, I'm moving back to Canberra to work as a science writer and communicator. I'm a tidy, laidback housemate who respects others' personal space, looking to live with like-minded, friendly people. I enjoy brunch, swimming, bushwalking, and chilling with a cuppa to watch Netflix.
I enjoy a social house but also love some me time. Love getting outside and going for a bush walk, road trip, gardening, bike ride. That said i will always be down for a good netflix binge or board game nights. Indoor plants and veggie gardening are included with me one way or the other, along with most tools needed for any handy jobs/projects you can imagine. I work as a horticulturalist so happy to take over any garden maintenance being payed for by landlords or otherwise. (chicken pictured not included, but chicken/animal handling can be provided at no extra cost)
Friendly and respectful, I'm moving to Canberra for consultancy work. I enjoy a beer and I'm pretty easygoing. Looking for likeminded professionals who are clean and tidy, who are happy to do their own thing, but also catch up for a chat from time to time.
I work as a public servant, working night shifts and I am a student, studying Bachelor of IT. I have a security clearance. I have a very bubbly personality, like to hike, cook and gym. I clean up my own mess, nor do I smoke. At times I like to have peace and quite.
Hi! I'm a 29 year old (Northern) Territory raised guy working full time and have been living in Canberra for 6 years. I'm an easy going person, clean and fairly tidy looking for like minded individuals to share a home as my old navy mates have been posted away and I need to find somewhere new. I enjoy socializing but also enjoy me time and will respect others in return, I am a smoker however not in or around the property. I like movies and most other forms of entertainment, cooking then testing the results on willing volunteers, or conversation over a glass of red. WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room however a pre-furnished room is fine, In addition if you need extra furniture, kitchen appliances, utensils etc let me know as I have most of it in storage. If you'd like to know more let me know, happy to chat or meet over a coffee, I am also happy to provide references.
I’m a full time law student at the ANU and work at UC, Legal Aid and the Animal Defenders Office as a paralegal. I’m very clean, quiet and reliable. I’m mostly at work, uni or the gym. I enjoy running, hiking, photography, cooking and acting. Ideally looking for somewhere for at least 6 months. Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy to provide more info :) Thanks, Judith
I'm 25, a full time undergrad at ANU, and work a casual job (I'm the one on the left in the photo). I'm a non-smoker, very clean and tidy, and social but pretty laid back and easy going. I love the beach and swimming, being outdoors, travel and adventures, and trying new things. But don't let that fool you, I absolutely love my lazy days of binge-watching Netflix and junk food :) I'm looking for a household that is reasonable social and likes to share the occasional meal/drink/ect., but is still respectful of each others space and privacy. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have me. I'm after a place in the inner north (Acton, Reid, Campbell, Turner, Braddon, Ainslie and O'Connor). I look forward to hearing from you. Jade :)
I will be graduating from ANU in December with a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and am looking to move in to a place after my graduation. I am currently working full time so during weekdays I shall be out of the house between 8am to 6pm. I have been living in a share house in O'Connor, so I am well aware about keeping the place neat and tidy. A bit about me, I am a very accomodating person and know about respecting others boundaries. During my free time, I like to cook, watch Netflix and I love picking up small DIY projects from reddit/pinterest.
