I am a 25 year old public servant and I am currently looking for somewhere central, inner north / south or Belconnen Reigon. I am a fun, friendly and easy going person. I’m generally pretty busy during the week with work and on weekends I tend to spend time with family and friends but I do enjoy hanging out at home just to relax and do nothing. I’m not a massive party person but I enjoy being social! So I’m always keen for a chat and to hangout :) I love to cook and watch Netflix, that’s basically me in a bubble. Food + Netflix. Looking for some like minded people to live with! Happy to go anywhere between 6 - 12 months (even longer if possible) I also come with a queen sized bed that I’m not willing too part with (it’s too amazing haha) so the room would need to be able to fit that and storage for my clothing or come with built in robes. Also, I am unfortunately super allergic to cats so I wouldn’t be able to live with them. *sad face* but dogs are completely fine or any other pets :) If you think I suit what you are looking for fee free to shoot me a message!
New to Canberra and looking for a flat with a good social vibe but tidy and respectful flatmates. I'm working full time, on that 9 to 5 office grind, so nothing too crazy. I'm a relaxed kiwi who enjoys cooking, sports, gaming and good conversation. Happy with the counter-culture rebels or urbane elites as long as you are friendly and put your dishes away!
I'm working full-time in a hotel in the city, so I'm pretty busy Monday to Fridays. On the weekends I love to get out and explore all around. I consider myself a laid back person, clean & tidy and generally easy to live with. It would be fun to be social with my housemates and go out, but I also respect alone times.
Hey! I'm Sandhya. I'm moving to Canberra from Perth, WA to start full-time work with the Australian Public Service next year. I love a good cup of coffee (but I swear I’m not a coffee addict), enjoy watching soccer (and playing it) and am always up for a game of monopoly, cranium or any other boardgame. Looking for a housemate that I can share an occasional meal with when we’re both home or chats over wine. Most importantly, I’m tidy (with a love of on point design aesthetics), respectful of personal space and down time, and can contribute top notch baking skills.
Hi I'm Stuart, 27 professional (non-government). I'd say I'm considerate and pretty easy to get along with. I'm clean and like to chef, good with animals, and pretty open and respectful. Will chat for hours if it's not just small talk. After work I usually like to watch a movie or play console games, on weekends I'm generally up to something. I've put down Aranda, Kambah, Forrest and O'Connor, but for the right place nearby would be fine as well (Griffith, Turner, Curtin, Macquarie, Cook, etc). Happy to chat - send me a message!
I am a 25 year old Marine Science graduate from Sydney and recently landed a position in AFMA. I am really easy-going, get along with pretty much everyone and enjoy a good laugh and chat after work with my housemates. My interests include Snowboarding (I will be down at Thredbo most weekends in the winter), Water Skiing, Soccer, Music Production and SCUBA Diving. I also like things to be clean and tidy and the places I have rented previously I have kept my room and the general house in order. I am relocating from Sydney and I need to have things in order before I commence in Feb. Ideally I would like to be moved in and settled between the 15th - 30th Jan. Looking for a place to rent in Braddon Canberra or surrounding suburbs for ~1 year. I am keen to join a share house or team up! Open to a chat if you would like to hear more about myself :)
Hi there! I am a boy from China that currently study Psychology in the second yr at ANU. I am very friendly and happy to chat with anyone. In addition, I am good at some Chinese cuisine and pretty excited to share it with my mates. I have very adaptive living habits, clean and quiet at nights, but if someone loves party I could join you as well! Hobbies are sporting, cooking and socialising. Prefer sharing the house with either boys, girls or anyone. Cheers guys!
Spacious, light-filled room in a fun and friendly sharehouse located in the heart of O'Connor! A 5 min ride/10 min walk to ANU and an extra 5/10 to Civic, and a 5 min walk to the local shops and pub, and also just opposite a bus stop that goes to the city and can connect you with public transport to the rest of Canberra. Available from Dec 10 to mid Feb next year, the room has huge built in wardrobes and even a separate back door entrance that leads out into a garden courtyard for extra privacy. Rent is at a discounted price over the summer so consider this an absolute steal!
Super outgoing, approachable and enjoy long random conversations. I'm a pretty good cook and very tidy. Things I like to do is to go out a lot such as shopping and clubbing after a busy week. And if not I'll probably be studying for hours or sleeping. I'm planning to commerce my undergraduate studies at university and find a part time job as well. I'm looking for flat mates who are around my age or early 20's. Someone that is good at socialising and pretty chilled to be around and friendly
I have a very balanced lifestyle. Between working full-time in a hotel and hanging out/walking my dog, I also love to cook, watch TV series and going out with friends. I am able to give my housemate as much space as they like but also enjoy a chat or maybe a beer together once every week or 2. I am extremely clean and tidy and although I like to hang out with friends I tend to do that outside of the home, and keep the home I am living in quite quiet and comfortable. I own a lot of my own furniture already and am happy to share what I already own. My dog is beautiful to live with, I take him out for walks everyday as to keep him happy and calm, but he does love a cuddle. Currently sleeps inside but I can arrange a kennel for him outside if needed.
Working as a hairdresser full time. Love meeting people and hanging out but know about that personal space lovin. Looking to be in a pretty chilled out environment.
From Melbourne, moving up in early 2018 to work in the Public Service. Clean, easygoing housemate. I'm fairly social but also enjoy quiet time. Can cook, but keen to broaden my repertoire. Will binge watch almost anything! Fan of AFL, cricket. Love a good book. Also play the piano (with headphones on).
Hi! I am Shubham, 23 years old and study master of earth sciences at ANU. Like my degree, I enjoy natural settings more than city places. I am into hiking, cycling and running. I read a lot, listen to classic rock (60's, 70's) and love to indulge in intellectual conversations. I work part-time and also my degree is research-based, so I leave in the morning and come back in evening. I am also a beer fanatic (not a drunkard though, lol). As for my habits, I like to keep my surroundings clean and lead a healthy life. I understand that each individual is different and therefore, I don't keep any kind of prejudices.
I just graduated from the ANU and am currently working as a cook and applying for grad jobs. I've lived in a share house with two friends in O'Connor for a year and a half but our lease is ending. I love cooking, Netflix and running. I'm a pretty clean person. I also have a very well behaved kitty named Caesar.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hello, my name is Jacob and I am a school leaver who will be studying nursing in Canberra in 2018. I am a very clean person and like to keep my spaces neat and tidy, I'm not shy of a good conversation and I enjoy the company of others. I am hoping to find somewhere to live as soon as possible, if you have ANY questions please don't hesitate, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you.
Hello! What makes me great to live with... good question Flatmates... I’m pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I’d prefer a non-smoking household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. I’m a veggo for intolerance reasons, but don’t mind if you’re a hardcore carnivore or vegan. I’m good to move from January and happy to move into an established home or team up and find a wolf pack to share an awesome house in the inner south or north (I’m not a lake-sideist).
I'm 40 and just returned to Canberra after three years living in Sydney. Originally from NZ, but lived in Canberra from 2011-2014. I work in media and communications. I like to go for walks (including some pretty lengthy ones), head to pub trivia and play golf. I think I'm a very considerate person to live with and am happy to have a chat or keep to myself depending on my housemate's preference and/or state of mind on a given day. FYI, I found a housemate online when I moved to Canberra back in 2011 and we remain very close friends today. Hoping to find an equally awesome housemate this time around. Let me know if you're keen to catch up for a coffee -- or something stronger. Gavin
I am organised and from time to time I like to keep my personal space neat and tidy. I am not a party goer and enjoy chilling at home during weekend watching tv shows with wine. I also love running and coffee.
