Originally used as an Embassy, this elegant house has been furnished and re-purposed to provide a "home away from home" for people coming to Canberra for work, as it's a challenge to find affordable accommodation when you first arrive. While it retains the timeless elegance of marble stairs, crystal chandeliers and French doors to the balcony, the house has been refurbished to a high standard and offers comfortable accommodation in lockable single rooms which share bathrooms but have own toilets, or couples suites with own bathroom. The communal kitchen and dining areas are spacious and well equipped with appliances, crockery and all cutlery. You can relax in the beautiful upstairs lounge, watch television or a DVD movie.. Or step out to the covered balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over Woden.
I'm a full time engineer, and I'll be making the move down from Sydney in early October. I'll be heading back to Sydney fairly often on weekends so you can expect me out of your hair during those times. I'm pretty easy going, friendly and like to keep areas neat and tidy. You can expect me to keep to myself, I enjoy my quite nights in but I'm happy to explore the food options in area. I don't drink or smoke but I have no issues with people that do.
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane for work as a consultant. I'm an always doing something kinda guy, so I really dig going out to the mountains or parks, checking out the city I live in and am really sociable. I don't smoke and I'm not the kind of person to get smashed on drinks every night of the week. I more just chill drink with mates every now and then. I'm a really clean-oriented person so I'd like housemates that are happy to help keep the common areas neat.
I am moving to CanberraMid-October to start a new position in the public service. I am friendly, tidy and love a good chat over a glass of wine at the end of the day. I am currently studying externally, so will often be required to lock myself in my room and study.
Clean, keep to myself but i am friendly and happy to hang out sometimes for a chat. I work in kingston and close by would be an advantage but anywhere in Canberra is fine as i have been living in Evatt for the last 10 months. Weekends i am not around alot as i travel back to Orange to see family. I am a soccer coach and go to the gym to keep some sort of fitness
I am a positive person, clean, polite and respectful. I will be working full time as a researcher at Canberra hospital from end of September. I like to be outdoors (yes, even in the cold!), I like to cook, enjoy an occasional glass (or three) of wine, and get a bit crafty in my spare time (mostly knitting/sewing). I was born and raised in Canberra, though escaped to QLD for a few years! I am heading back for a great work opportunity and because my partner of 8 years is living and studying at ANU. I will likely visit him regularly, and not be at home every night.
I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am a non smoker. I am a very relaxed person. I have no pets but I am a pet lover. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs. Would like to find a roommate who is clean but not ocd clean. Looking for a room to rent or another flatmate similar to find something together. Ideally looking for one other roommate to rent a full property.
I'm a current honours student at ANU studying Psychology and working part time in functions. I'm open to pretty much any housing situation. In my spare time I enjoy reading, the gym and the odd video game.
Highly sought after apartments, just 5 minutes walk from The Canberra Hospital and 2 minutes walk from the Garran Shops/ Medical Centre. Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Very quiet area - no sound heard at night whilst sleeping. Very easy comfortable living. Heat lamps and heated towel rail in bathroom. Centrally located in Canberra. Air conditioning and in-slab heating - always warm in winter. Very fast and affordable NBN internet. Only one additional shared bill - electricity.
Hi, my name is al and I am interested in teaming up to find a new place in the inner north or south. Ideally, I would like to get an apartment with separate bathrooms, car parking and air conditioning. I am also comfortable paying up to $300 a fortnight. I am a full time (and ongoing) public servant and I have shared with people on and off over the years. I keep active and am out usually a couple of nights a week playing social sport and going to the gym. I am someone to who doesn't mind a chat but I do like some downtime as well. I am respectful to housemates and am clean (without being OCD clean). If you are interested in teaming up for an apartment, please let me know. If not, good luck with your search. al p.s. not interested in sharing with drug users or smokers and am not after a party house.
Preemptively looking for a new room as the share-house I'm currently in is up for sale. I work full time in the public service and am aiming for somewhere fairly clean, relaxed and close to work. Would also strongly prefer an en-suite or own bathroom, but otherwise am fairly flexible. I mostly just read and watch movies at home, so will generally keep to myself, but do also enjoy the occasional chat/drink/baking session/Netflix binge/games night (and not averse to a good party either if that's your thing)! I'm originally from Melbourne, so would be keen to reconnect with any fellow Melbournians, but that's definitely not a requirement. Otherwise I'm a pretty tidy, easygoing person, and a non-smoker.
Hi, I'm a 29 year old hospitality professional. I've lived in Canberra most of my life and I manage and run a cafe in the heart of Manuka. I'm an easy going guy, I'm social, clean, tidy and organised. I tend to live reasonably quiet but thrive in the social aspects of my work. I'm passionate about the service industry and personal development. My hobbies include food & beverage, gaming, exercise and sport. I think i would make a great housemate because I will respect personal space, but will also be available for good chat. I only drink when it is appropriate and i don't smoke. I pride myself on being a fair person and I have lived in many share houses.
I'm a 23-year-old Filipina. I'm currently working as a part-time RN (Registered Nurse). I will be looking for another health facility to do casual or part-time job once I found accommodation. When I'm not at work, I usually stay home to do self-study. I'm passionate about my career so I always take time to develop my skills and knowledge. I have lived in other shared accommodation before so I'm very much aware of the protocols involving shared accommodation such as paying bills on time, keeping the place clean and tidy and respecting other tenants' privacy. In saying that, I'm also easy going. I love to chat/socialise at times in any way (movies, nightout, walking, window shopping or even sharing when going through tough times). Being clean and tidy, especially in the kitchen are a big deal to me. In the rest of house, I'm not too OCD. Please feel free to message me if you think I'm suitable to be your housemate.
20yr old apprentice electrician. Quiet through the week, enjoy going to the gym or just relaxing after work. Enjoy spending weekends with friends mostly or travelling home to see family on the odd occasion.
I am a health professional currently looking for a property and a suitable housemate to share within close proximity to the Canberra Hopital. I am quiet, clean, friendly and hope to share with someone who is similar. I spend most of my time at work or at the gym and enjoying the simple things in life. Ideally looking for a place to live I can call home and feel safe and secure.
I am generally a quiet person. I like binge watching Netflix. I like reading, writing, drawing and working hard. I do enjoy conversation but can be a little cautious to begin with. I come from a big family, so privacy is important and I am tidy and respectful because of this. I don't go out, don't drink or smoke but I have no issues with people that do. I'm a little bit artsy, and like to bake on occasion. Very easy to get along with and generally a happy, calm and kind individual.
I‘m a sportsman (rowing) of switzerland. At the moment I’m preparing for the olympics 2020 in Tokyo. In Canberra I will be training with the australian national team for 2 month. Beside the sport I would like to improve my English. I‘m an openminded man, who is looking for a room/ bed to have some nice chats/ diner in the evening together with you. In my leisure time I like to hike, ride the bike, chill at the beach, cook, barbecue,... Would be great to meet you! Hopefully see you soon All the best Roman
G'day, I'm James! I'm originally from Adelaide, but moved to Canberra mid last year. I work full-time as an engineer, but I also study part time as a postgrad at the ANU. I'm pretty sociable and will happily have a chat or a couple drinks after work if thats your speed; otherwise I more than willing to give you your space and keep a low footprint at home. Between work, gym, uni and my partner I keep pretty busy so I like to keep my space at home tidy and try not to be a burden on anyone else. Feel free to get in contact and have a chat, I'm pretty easy going.
Fun loving girl from Wellington, New Zealand currently living in Toowoomba moving to Canberra for a job at Canberra Hospital and would prefer somewhere close or a short commute. Hey hey, Looking for a short term stay preferably 6 months. I’m a full teacher. I usually get home by 6 or 7 most days, yes I’m a hard working teacher. I do have a bit of furniture so if you have room for a bit more, that would be awesome. I know the dos and donts of living with other people. Awesome to socialise with (that’s what my friends say). And of course I know how to give space as well and would like mine from time to time.
Im a quiet and polite person who generally keeps to themselves but is always happy to have a chat. I work nights so you never need to worry about me waking you up early. Love a good video game or a casual drink with good people.
I'm currently working full-time at a cafe and am in my second year of university. I'm easy going, friendly, tidy and respectful of others. Am always up for a chat and a laugh!
