Hi there! Looking out for a nice place to live in Canberra towards the end of the year or start of next year. I'll be starting a new job at the Treasury as a policy analyst in February. The house ideally needs to be semi or fully furnished with a parking spot for my car (can be off-street). The room must be well-lit, and can be furnished or unfurnished. I'm a positive, friendly and honest person. I like reading, travelling, and yoga, and also like to keep active by swimming and running. I'd also like to get into cycling, and I'm looking forward to some trips to the snow! My main interests are political economics and international development. I'm quite an easy-going person to live with, and I like to keep things clean and tidy. I'm looking for housemates who I can occasionally spend time with in the evenings and on the weekends. Ideally, my housemates would enjoy having a good chat about the world, and have a good sense of humour. Cleanliness is a must. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have something suitable.
2x Bed 2x Bathroom 2x Carparks to share in FRANKLIN District Looking at around January 2017. A working professional and i'll be mainly at work from 7am to 6pm Monday to Fridays. I am extremely clean, tidy and quiet and trust worthy, a non smoker. Also, will help in keeping the place clean and tidy. I am looking at sharing a 2x Bed, 2x Bathroom, Carpark (under cover) Bills to share (internet, Water & Elec.). Message me your details ASAP to discuss further
I’m Jake, I’m a 23 year old easy-going guy who likes a laugh and a glass of wine. I’ve been living in Germany for the past year and have only recently returned home to Brisbane. I will be moving to Canberra from mid-November until min-February to intern with a Federal Government Department and am looking for a place close to central Canberra. I have lived in many share houses before and am clean, quiet and respectful and am looking for the same. I will be working full time during my stint in Canberra but am not opposed to being social in the evenings and cooking the odd meal together. For fun I like to play tennis (I’m terrible) and go to the beach. I’m not much into clubbing or wild parties and prefer a chilled vibe at the weekends. I’m hoping to find a quiet share house with professionals conducive to my workload over the summer. Flatmates around my age and older are preferred. J
Hi there, I'm looking to move in to a share house where I could rent a large bedroom with either an ensuite or a private bathroom. I love all animals and would love to live with someone who has pets, except cats (I'm allergic) I'm a vegan and am passionate about animal rights so I would love to move into a house with someone who shares similar views to me but this isn't a must, as long as cooking isn't a shared responsibility I do not mind living with people who eat meat at all. I like to think of myself as respectful, honest and clean housemate, I'm a non-smoker and rarely a social drinker. I work full time in the Public Service and when I'm not working I like to spend time with family and friends, watch Netflix, and play Xbox. If this sounds you have anything suitable for me please contact me and we can discuss things further :)
Non-smoker who loves to travel, has been consistently employed for over a decade (except for a break I took to travel between my current job and the previous one), makes amazing crepes, loves dogs, is okay with cats, less okay with birds, loves the cinema, Netflix, reading, listening to music, and walking. I'm moving to Canberra from Penrith, NSW, to study full time at ANU but will be looking for part time employment once I settle in. I currently work in a legal firm and will most likely look for similar work. I don't drive or own my own car. I am tidy, handy with an Allen key, generally keep to myself but am always up for a chat.
Highly sought after executive apartments. Located on lake, beautiful views. Secure building with lift access, very quiet and centrally located. Beautifully furnished, Tri level apartment. Willing to rent short term. On site gym and located on 3ha of beautifully manicured gardens.
About me: I am looking for a place to rent in the Kingston area. I am a professional female working in Belconnen. It's a bit of a drive to work each day, but I think Kingston/Barton is the best part of Canberra- you just can't beat the lifestyle. Fun fact- I live in Brisbane and Canberra at the same time. I spend my weekends in Brisbane (with the occasional exception where I'll stay in Canberra), and work in Canberra during the week. I have been flying to Canberra every week for two years, and I love it here. After work, I like to meet up with friends and colleagues for dinner a couple of nights a week. Other than that, I like to hang out with my housemates and watch Netflix/eat delicious food. I am looking for somewhere clean, quiet, and secure to share with a mature, trustworthy housemate or housemates. I have my own bedroom furniture. A car space and access to a gym is preferable.
Hello! I'm a young professional from Sydney moving to Canberra for work in November this year. I'm friendly, tidy, and respectful of personal space. I'm an avid world traveller, love watching John Oliver videos, and am a fan of wine and cheese. What I am looking for is a place (either with housemates or by myself) close to Barton. Feel free to contact me if you think your listing is one I'd be interested in! My desired dates are 12 Nov to 4 Feb (can be flexible).
Looking to see what currently available and if there are some people out there roughly around my age looking for a room mate! Okay to move out at any time, just trying to find the right people to live with :) Not looking to live too far away from the city or Belconnen and not looking to live on the Southside either (sorry peeps) I work full time as a PA and enjoy sports, online gaming, music, gigs, hanging out at home and good food and drink! Please feel free to message me if I suit what you are looking for in a flat mate :)
I am from India, and will join ANU from 1st October. I am fun loving, clean, and quite person. I like privacy but sometimes enjoy partying with friends.
Hi I'm Ori, I'm been living in Canberra for little while and looking for a new place. I'm a clean, neat and tidy person, great cook and non-smoker with a professional full time job and can move in straight away. I'm looking for a nice place with great people. Really social and outgoing, I would love to live with similar people who might watch a movie together sometimes or share a glass of wine in the evenings occasionally! Message me on here and I'll get back to you.
I'm a 23 year old who has just relocated to Canberra to start full-time work with the public service and am looking for somewhere to live, short or long term. I really don't mind. I'll tell you a little about myself. I especially enjoy time at the the beach and exercise when I can, cooking, sports and techy stuff are also my hobbies. I consider myself to be a clean and considerate person. I'm quite a social guy and enjoy a good chat and the occasional bev. However can respect anyone's privacy and enjoy my time spent alone too. I'm also likely to travel often as I have family on the North Coast and Northern NSW. I often have a busy lifestyle, as most would in Canberra I assume. I'm easy going, love to meet new people and share experiences. I have had more than at-least 5 years in house sharing.
Hi everyone! A bit about me... I recently moved to Canberra after living overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years studying then working with a human rights NGO. I'm originally from Adelaide, but don’t hold that against me! I work in Federal Government, and will be moving back into a humanitarian role in government very soon. I'm very active, and love being outdoors - playing sport, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding (not well haha). Looking forward to making the most of Canberra’s outdoor scene this summer! I'm a pretty relaxed and outgoing kind of guy, enjoy a drink or two at the pub or over a BBQ or movie night at home but I’m definitely not a party animal. As I’m newish to Canberra, I’m keen to live in a house that feels more like a home. In that regard, I'm looking to start a small but social share house with people who are keen to hang out and socialise, but who are also considerate, and respectful of each other's privacy. I'm ideally looking for either a 2 or 3 bedroom place, with an ensuite bedroom that I could take. I’ve got a few bits and pieces of furniture - though anyone in possession of a fridge or washing machine will be highly regarded! ☺ Anyway, give me a shout if you think I'd be a good fit for your place, or if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat! Cheers, Trystan
I'm a 26yr old Female and will be studying my Masters part-time and working full-time so will be quite busy during the week, but on the weekends I enjoy socialising with friends or just staying in and relaxing over a glass of wine. I'm super easy to get along with and am a pretty relaxed person in nature.
I am a 30 years female who are going to live in Canberra for ANU PhD Program in January 2017. It might be we can build Team-Up and start to find a new house. I am looking for easy-going and friendly housemate. I prefer for a neat and tidy friends.
After a great couple of years in my current sharehouse my friends are moving interstate and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I work full-time and play sport after work so I'm relatively busy but always happy to share a meal or just hang out. What I lack in time to devote to the house I make up for in killer puns and a Netflix subscription I'm happy to share. I can also bring a Gumtree-chic couch for the house (if there's room) and a thriving basil plant. I'm looking to move in late November. Send me a message and we can see if we're future housemates!
Relaxed and friendly law student from Melbourne, looking for a share house to join while I undertake a 3 month internship working full-time in the public sector. Always up for a drink after work and am very sociable but at the same time am respectful to other people's privacy / study time / 'me-time'. I am a tidy person and enjoy cooking a meal together every now and then. Love the outdoors, live music, reading, wining & dining and keeping active. Ideally looking for not just a room to rent, but a social place to live with other young professionals.
Working for AFP on contract. just need a place to sleep and will be away every weekend in most cases as family is in NSW.Quiet, clean, easy going, love motorbikes and training and generally having a good time and a laugh.
I'm an undergraduate Education student from Brisbane. I'll be in Canberra for 3 months over the summer on an internship. I've been share housing for 3 years in a range of places - from the very large (7 people - was quite the experience) to smaller arrangements. I'm friendly, easygoing and open to social or quiet share houses. I always clean up after myself, respect common areas and my housemate's privacy. I enjoy cooking, sightseeing, reading and volunteering. Feel free to drop me a line if you're looking for a team up!
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but not overly boisterous person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also enjoy a good chat over tea or beer. As a newcomer to Melbourne, I'll be keen to hangout, and explore the area/nightlife. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. I am looking for two or three housemates (preferably female). I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Hi My name is Thibault and I am a French student. I have been in canberra for 4 months so far and I am starting a PhD in physics at the ANU in october. I already live in a sharehouse right now but the lease is ending so I need to find a new place. I have been living with flatmates for the last 3 years so I am used to it. I am easy to live with and clean (without being a cleanliness freak). I am often working late during the week, so you may not see me a lot but I like spending some time with my flatmates during the week-end. I don't have pets but I like animals. I don't smoke but I used to, so it's not a problem for me if you do. Finally I am a musician (guitar and drums) and I love jamming session so I would love to move in with other musicians.
I'm a first year ANU student who is looking for a new place to stay. I'm respectful and will always keep common areas clean. I love to watch movies and tv shows but am also a lover of books. I take my studies pretty seriously so when I have assignments I will pretty much be locked up in my room procrastinating. However, other than that I am quite sociable and enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I'm a pretty chill person and not much really gets to me that easily. Did I mention my love of animals? I seriously love animals. I had two dogs, a cat, a couple turtles, a hamster... In other words, I have no problems with pets. Also, I grew up in a bunch of different places (Malaysia and Japan just to name a couple) so I'm also really into traveling and learning about new cultures. Actually I myself am half Japanese and Australian so culture is one of my "things" I guess. If you're a friendly, inviting person who is open to living with a laid back person like me, please don't hesitate to contact me because I think we'd make perfect housemates!
Hi, I'm Cameron, 24, and I'm moving up to Canberra to start a new job. I've lived in Melbourne my whole life, and in the past, I've been at uni studying chemistry and graduated with my Masters. The two things I spend the most resources would be travel and music. I like getting outdoors too, and always up for trying new things. I stay on top of mess, and do actually like cooking. I consider myself a social person, but considerate of others' space.
Social, friendly professional newish to Canberra originally from Sydney, like to keep fit and healthy. Usually keep busy with work/gym/study but also like to go out to take the edge off :) Happy to do my own thing or have dinners/drinks together Cheers
I'm 25, working full time. I like to be active and social, so not home a lot during the week and often away on weekends. Love trashy tv and happy to share the odd meal and glass of wine with a housemate. I'm clean and tidy. I'm looking at getting a 2 bed place in the Kingston area and looking for someone to share with me. I come with most furniture and appliances which are fairly new and just looking for someone who is easy going, pretty clean and tidy and happy to hang out in front of the to if we're home at the same time.
I am a Canberra local who enjoys staying fit, music and travel. I am respectful of others and like to keep a clean and tidy household. I work full-time in IT and have active social life. I am easy going and like to get to know people but i'm also happy doing my own thing. I would be interested in teaming up to rent a house as I already have my own furniture and appliances. I am available from early November.
Two rooms in a Barton apartment are available! The rooms are in a spacious and comfortable, two-storey apartment in the Macquarie Court complex. The location is perfect – just minutes away from the Parliamentary Triangle, Manuka, Kingston Shops and the Foreshore. The two available rooms are on the first floor of the apartment and will share the main bathroom. One underground car park is available and all day street parking is there if you need it. I have a little bit of furniture, but if you have your own, there’s plenty of space for it. There are two living areas that need to be filled! But best of all is the price! The smaller room is just $160 pw and the larger room is $175 pw. Bills are split evenly and unlimited wifi is available, but not included in the price.
Moving to Canberra October end/First week November. Full time professional working with a Government Department. Prefer either South Canberra or Civic and surrounding as I will be working in Forrest. Usually I spend my time playing sport, catching up with friends over drinks or just chill at home watching TV or playing games. I like to keep the place neat and tidy and would like to find someone similar. I will have my car with me so need a car space.
Alicia: I am relaxed but do love to chat after a day's work, I am a housemate who is friendly and easygoing at the same time. I will respect your privacy but hope to be on friendly terms with my housemates. I am enthusiastic about good coffee, bike riding, seeing live music and reading. I also have a partner, Tom, who will be visiting for a bit and then living with me after I move to Canberra. He also loves coffee and bike riding and can play the guitar quite well. Tom loves any beer that is brown/strong and purchasing LPs for his record player. He is a vegetarian, but i'm not and will eat almost anything. We will both be full-time professionals who want to make the most of our time in Canberra with weekend trips and socialising. Both of us have been living with 3 other flatmates in Melbourne, with a cleaning roster that we stick to.
