I am a female student from Denmark. During my stay in Canberra I will be studying at ANU as a Master student in Chemistry. My semester begins mid-July and ends mid-November, why I am looking for a room for four months In Denmark I am used to live in a dorm with 19 other students, hence I know how to share living room, kitchen and bathroom with other people, how to clean the house and make it a nice place to stay. In my sparetime I like to do different kinds of sports such as running, spinning, swimming, skiing and dancing. Besides that I am a very chill person who also enjoys a cold beer or a glass of wine, reading books, going to koncerts and out to bars, cooking and watching a movie. I am looking for a furnished room since I will not bring any furnitures with me from Denmark.
I am a postgraduate student who will study in ANU and would like to find a place which is within 5 km of ANU. I'm easy going and friendly. I love music, games and movies, but will not influence others, for I respect privacy and space.
My name is Shannen, I’m 21 originally from Townsville in QLD currently living in Darwin working. I will be relocating with my partner and our little Shar Pei puppy who is named Daisy. I will be moving around July to commence work. My partner is 22 and will be studying. We are both very tidy, enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures and backgrounds. We are young and up for anything really. We are both very chilled and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with our fur baby. We are also interested in team ups and will consider starting a new share house.
Hey :)! I am moving to Canberra to start a new role with the media company I work for at the end of July. I am originally from Melbourne but have spent the past year living in Sydney. I am easy-going going and enjoy sharing chats and laughs with the people I live with, but am also respectful of other people’s space. For fun, I love to check out gigs, visit galleries, go for runs or hikes and catch up with mates over meals or drinks.
I'm a full time professional working in Science Communication. I'm also studying my Masters part time at ANU. I'm a respectful housemate who loves to have a chat, but also needs a quiet space to do my study. Looking for a friendly housemate to share occasional meals and a glass of wine with.
I am looking to rent a room in ACT near Barton and nearby area. Ill be studying closeby for 4 months and keen to stay in vicinity. I am quiet, easy going, focus on my current study load, and very respectful of others. I will be doing my final subject in my course and will be absolutely focus. This means that I m not looking for party central. Non smoker here, no pet, only social drinker. I will be making my choice this month of July. Let me know if you have any room that may fit this. Thank you.
I'm an international student coming to ANU for my post-graduation. I'm a punctual, clean and well organised person. I respect others privacy. Also I'm a vegetarian and I don't drink or smoke. That's pretty much about me.
Hi! My name's Ash and I work in agricultural policy. I'm relocating to Canberra from Sydney for a new job based in Barton. I'm a respectful and considerate housemate who enjoys to have a chat and hang out as it suits. Sharing a meal/drink is also a plus. I'm looking to live with people who are keen to do the same, and who are clean, tidy and considerate. Outside of work I enjoy keeping active, be it going to the gym or going for walks/runs. I enjoy being social. I'm looking forward to making new friends in Canberra. I'll be moving to Canberra either the weekend of the 21st or 28th of July.
I‘m Katrina, currently in Canberra to do an internship at the Austrian Embassy. As I extend my stay, I'm looking for a shared house/apartment by mid August. I’m a 26 year old graduate (sociology and communication) who enjoys a good glass of wine and netflix marathons, as much as exploring the city and socialise. I am looking for a flat with fun roommates to have a chat after work, cook dinner sometimes and go out on the weekends occassionslly. I am a tidy and respectful person with six years of flatsharing experience and a good sense for privacy and individual space. Hit me up if you think I'd be suitable to join your house and we could have a chat over coffee :)
Hi! I'm from India and have a Bachelors' Degree in Architecture. July 2018 i begin with my Masters' Degree at the ANU. Love travelling / exploring and have many tales to tell from the various journeys I've had. Am highly adaptable and quick at socialising. Also, I'm extremely meticulous in everything I do and very particular about cleanliness.
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi there! I’m a Chilled out, 28 year old looking for a place where I can come home after work in the city and jump on my laptop. I gym most nights after work. I’m quiet and very respectful of my room mates privacy and comfort. I have very little furniture I just need a place to stick my bed. I’m comfortable living with women, men, animals, LGBTQI. Currently single.
I'm back in Canberra (studied and worked here previously) after several years overseas. Got lots of good travel stories. Aiming to cycle to work at Black Mountain most days. Don't watch much tv, tend to read books, like to be active, and usually out and about on weekends. Ideal place would have (in decreasing order of importance): awesome housemate, carpet, sunshine, views, gas cooking. Love cats so that would be an amazing bonus!
Hi! I am a 22 year old female seeking a room or house to live in in a good few months. I wont be moving to Canberra until January 2019 but I'm putting this out there early just in case. I work full time in aged care and am gone during the weekdays, times do tend to vary. On weekends I enjoy spending time with my friends and most Saturday nights I am out, though I'm not a massive partier so you won't have to worry about me bringing the party home or being too boisterous haha. I have an adorable dog, who may seem scary because he is quite big, but he has a heart of gold and is the biggest sook of a dog you'll ever know. He think's he's a lap dog really. He is 2 years old so he has grown out of his puppy stage so there's not much worries about him being destructive or anything. He gets regularly walked. He does tend to cry a little when he is left outside alone, but he will get over it eventually. He doesn't bark or cause any trouble. He sleeps inside with me, that is a necessity as if he gets locked outside he tends to panic and runs away, and he has slept on my bed since the day he was born basically haha.
Hey guys, I just finished my studies for Engineering and keen to start working. I am originally from Brisbane so moving to Canberra is a new experience and i'm really looking forward to it. A bit about myself, I'm laid back and enjoy other peoples company. I love cars, bikes, fitness and recently have taken up photography. In my spare time I enjoy a good neflix binge, play some games and watch some sports. Apart from that I'm very clean, don't smoke and an amateur cook. Look forward to hearing from you.
Full-time professional working with the APS in Barton. I enjoy my sport and often ride to work in the mornings. I am clean, tidy, and can be social while remaining respectful of boundaries. Looking for a place with similar values. I am French-Australian so naturally, I enjoy red wine, cheese and white flags. Cheers, Damien
I am a youthful 55yrs post-surgery Transgender person who is very easy going. I'm currently at University of Canberra studying Bch Of Public Health. I am mostly seeking to join an existing sharehouse with space, although starting a new share property is an option for me too. Just 2-4 people including me would be preferable. I would be willing to sign-up to a joint lease with other tenants if necessary. I can contribute furniture to the property, although I don't have a dining suite or a lounge suite. Alternatively, I can place unused items in a dry, lockup garage if available. * Kitchen = large twin door fridge, microwave and just about every cooking item you could want! * Living = large timber pieces including wall units, bookcase, hallway table and entertainment unit (for television, etc). * Laundry = front loading washing machine, ironing board, etc. * Outside = lawn mower, whipper snipper, water hose, etc. * Bedroom = I have a six piece timber bedroom setting. I have an existing NBN Internet contract with unlimited data and a 100mb speed connection. It also includes the Optus 'Fetch' TV with 6 channels and access to netflix, etc. If your place already has an internet service, I may be able to transfer my account to other tenants in the property where I currently live. I am available to move-in to a new property quite soon - within two/three weeks depending on mutual circumstances. My share of any rent would be $200 per week maximum (I am a Uni student after all.) I'd prefer a property that is in good condition and located within reasonable travel distance to the University of Canberra. But i'm flexible for the 'right' property. That's it !!! Hit me up if you have a large bedroom in a sharehome that may be suitable.
Hi! I am Katja, a 24-year-old young professional from Finland. I am moving to Canberra in mid-September until late December and I am looking for a place to stay. My hobbies include reading, travelling, and I also love to try out new sports, games, and cuisine. I have lived in Canada for half a year in 2017, so I have experience of living abroad with multiple roommates from different cultures. Hi, I'm a french teacher working full time in a primary school. I've been living in Canberra for 2 years in a shared house. Unfortunatly we have to move out late August. I'm looking for a new place in Kingston or Manuka. I'm an easy going person, I like my privacy but also like to chat with my housemates and share a meal or a glass of wine. I love to travel, spend the weekend away, hike, run around the lake..
I love drinking wine and having chats, happy to hangout but also love spending time by myself, I work in publishing and because of that I spend a lot of my time reading. I'm very clean and proactive with house stuff. I have a 5 year old Golden Retriever, Howie, who will love you if you give him pats and chill with you at home. I work full-time in the city so looking for a place close enough to ride into work.
Hello! I am a 26 year old, young professional female who works full time. I am originally from Sydney, and moved to Canberra in 2015; working for both the government and non for profit sector. In August 2017, I decided to take a year off work to travel the world. Over the last 12 months, I have been abroad in Latin America, New Zealand, India and Iran. I have had many great adventures, but sadly out of money and time so headed back to our nations capital (just in time for winter, yay!). I have lived in two wonderful sharehouses in Canberra. I am a respectful and social housemate; I am bubby and positive, and would love housemates I could share a glass of wine or dinner with, but I equally need some space as well as downtime! I am quite social, and would love to have a homely space that I feel comfortable having friends over every now and then. I am very tidy, and consider myself a very proactive cleaner in terms of house chores. I respect the space I live in, and take price in a clean tidy house. During the week, I tend to keep quite busy; I like to exercise in the mornings, and do activities like yoga or dance class, trivia, or drinks with friends in the evenings. In terms of hobbies, I love to run, garden, read, cook (healthy and sustainable, mostly veg food), drink wine (mostly only on weekends, but could be convinced otherwise), learn Spanish, hike, camp, and travel! I have friends and family in Sydney, and my long term boyfriend of 6 years lives interstate, so I am often away on weekends. I am after a sharehouse that my boyfriend can come visit and feel comfortable every third weekend or so. He's a great visitor though; he lives on a farm and works at a brewery part time while studying, so usually comes with gifts for the house like fresh eggs, vegetables and craft brew cider and beer! I come with furniture for a bedroom, and have money set aside to purchase any thing that is needed for the house as a contribution. I also have a few plants which I could add to the house foliage. I am due to start back at work the 23rd of July, and would be keen to commence in a sharehouse around that time. If I sound like a suitable fit, I'd love the opportunity to talk more with you. Looking forward to hearing from you, Jacqui
I'm clean and tidy and would love to have my other housemates share similar characteristics. I'm a recent postgraduate student and is relocating from Sydney to Canberra, because of an internship opportunity. Personally, I do not smoke, however, I won't mind if my housemate smoke as long as he/she is not smoking while indoor. I'm looking for a like-minded individual who is respectful of other people space.
Hiya! My name is Alicia and I am moving to Canberra at the beginning of August, meaning I require a new home:) I'm a full time worker doing admin in the construction industry as well as attempting to study Marketing part time online. I'm really looking for a home where the housemates get along and who wouldn't mind giving me some tips on some local places (help a Newbie!). I'm clean, love a laugh and respect peoples privacy as well as enjoy my own alone time. My cooking skills are limited so unfortunately I can not try to win you over with some amazing dish but I do know how to wash dishes and put them away :D Balcony, en suite and/or pets would be a huge bonus. Hope to hear from you! Cheers, Alicia
