Hey! I'm looking for a place long term and can move in now/whenever! More about me: I'm a second year arts student at Melbourne Uni studying history and media. I'm busy throughout the week so I'll be in and out of the house quite often. I'm sociable but chill and love a good chat about anything really. Things I like: I'm a major film buff and like music and art. I like cooking (or trying to anyway) and a beer here and there. Gigs and pubs are my go to whenever I'm free (or even when I'm not).
This a large 4 bedroom property in Pascoe Vale South. With a large kitchen and living areas, we're never tripping over each other. Currently only 2/4 bedrooms are occupied, so you'll have a choice between a furnished or unfurnished room (moving furniture between is an option too!). You'll have your own bathroom upstairs as well, so no waiting for the shower! We're looking for a friendly and tidy housemate who is happy to chat and respectful towards each other's property.
Looking to share a house with a female and take on a lease together. Currently renting in Coburg but my lease is up this month. I have awesome furniture to fill the house as well as a Bosch washing machine. Don't let my age fool you, I'm very mature! I'm a clean and tidy person. I respect the house and the privacy of others. Drug free and smoke free house is ideal for me :- ) I'm looking to have a mature household where we can both be ourselves and have a positive environment to help reach our goals. If you're interested, message me or let's get a coffee together!
Hi, I am an Indian Male, 31, recently migrated from India. I am looking for a decent accommodation with easy going people. I am particular about hygiene and likes to cook Indian food. In India, I was an IT Project Manager with an IT MNC. Currently, looking for job. I am open to stay with vegetarian or non vegetarian flatmates, preferably someone from Indian origin. Single or Couple, children or no children ...no issues. NO Pets. If you are comfortable, please buzz me. Thanks!
hello. We have this great three bedroom house only 25 minuts tramride outside of the city and we are looking for a third person to join us. There is a lovely garden in the back yard if you enjoy planting, weeding and watering. On street parking is available. The room is unfurnished, cute and has a nice vibe. The size is 2.6 x 2.9 meters and has a separate toilet located near. The view out the window is of the backyard. Some of the rest of the houses facilities include: Central gas heating, gas log fire heater in lounge, 1 x Dinning room (aka the what ever room), lounge, 1x bathroom, 2x toilets, laundry and a kitchen with an awesome oven (great for those of you, who like to cook). The place has recently been painted and has a new bathroom and kitchen put in.
Both rooms are standard size, they will fit a queen sized bed and bedside table. They have huge mirrored cupboards to ensure you acquire a pure appreciation of your morning bed hair and glamorous pyjama realness. There is a shared bathroom and a toilet downstairs (next to a modern Harry Potter cupboard). The house is decked out with all the communal stuff (washing machine, fridge and lounge and even a handmade pallet dining table). So you will just need to provide your own bedroom novelties and bed. Huge bonus for communal plants, humorous posters, chalk and/or dog - however not mandatory. Usual normalities apply, such as split internet, energy and water. If you wanna come check it out - or know anyone that is in need of habitat let me know :)
Hey lovely people! I'm Sarah, I'm 19 & I'm a part time Midwifery studying at ACU. I'm friendly, love to go out and see my friends but also love having time to myself and I become more quiet at night time when I chill out. I work part time at Skechers so I'm generally not at home during the day that much but I'd be open to a chat with you at the end of the day :)
Hey! :) We are very friendly, reliable & sociable people! :) Currently on a working holiday and will be in Melbourne until September. We will both be working full time and are wanting somewhere secure, clean and accessible to call home. We are a respectable couple and we are not interested in staying in a halfway house or a party house, although we do like to have a socialable drink with our roomies. :) We enjoy cooking and socialising. At evenings we like to go to the gym or chill out, and enjoy a drink and or a movie at the weekends. We would be interested in staying with another couple or another female. We are Northern Irish and would prefer English speaking housemates! :) Feel free to send us a message with any rooms you may have available! We would be interested in seeing pics and meeting up! :) We would prefer something with a minimum of 4 months stay :)
I drink, joke, enjoy being active around the house and study a lot with some spare time in the middle. I play guitar a bit but am well trained at keeping others in mind. I also bring with me (if needed); a washing machine, full sized fridge, my own bed, potential furnishings and a $500 good guys voucher I recently received for my 21st birthday :)
Hey, i'm post-graduate student from germany studying at unimelb. I'm in Melbourne as an exchange student and need a room for about 6 month. I consider myself to be a quite calm and laidback person. Not a party person but always available for a chat, hanging out or cooking and sharing a nice meal. I would say that i'm open minded and i am always happy to try something new. As a student i'd spent a lot of my time on campus so that it would be fairly easy for me to respect your privacy and keep things to myself if needed. Im tidy and clean and a little obsessed with keeping my room orderly. Love to do sports - did table tennis for 10 years and climbing- and am now looking for something new. Ideally my flatmates would be students at my age but i dont really mind if they arent.
Hi there! I recently moved to Melbourne to pursue full time postgrad degree at RMIT. I am very laidback, I enjoy reading, sports, cooking, videogames and learning/teaching languages. I am an engineering student but have many diverse interests. I have a lot of experience in living in shared accommodation so you can definitely expect me to be tidy and clean up after myself. Also I will respect others' privacy and be considerate towards their needs. I am hoping to move in to a place and settle down before semester start. Cheers!
PLEASE NOTE: I am looking for TWO rooms - a bedroom and an additional sunroom/study/studio/shed from which I could teach singing students 3 days a week. Please do not contact me if your place doesn't have this possibility! and PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOUR PLACE IS OUTSIDE OF MY LISTED AREAS. I am not interested. Read below for more details... My name is Becca, I’m 27, I’m from Tassie originally but been in Melbourne since Feb last year :) I work a few different jobs: I’m an artist (mostly musician but do a bunch of other kinds of arts too). I’m a self-employed voice coach, teaching technique for singing and speech (but mostly singing) 3 days a week. I work 1 day a week at Mork Chocolate Brewhouse in North Melbourne (from which I bring home tasty treats sometimes!), 2 nights a week at Open Studio in Northcote, am also currently applying for more/new jobs. I also model for life drawing classes and sometimes do other random odd jobs here and there. I’m looking for a home, not just a house; I am a busy person who does my own thing a lot and has a lot of projects I’m working on, so I’m not wanting to live out of each other’s pockets, but I also want to have a place where we hang a bit in the communal areas in the evenings and chat about our days or talk shit, cook and eat together now and then, hang out in the sun on good days and have a beer. In my current house there isn’t much of a good shared lounge area and everyone just kind of lives in their rooms all the time and I am craving a little bit more of a casual family vibe. I don’t smoke, I’ve never been late on rent or bills, I like to be energy usage conscious though not anally-so, I like to try to be good to the environment. I’m great at cleaning and I’m house-proud; I am happiest when my place is looking clean and beautiful, I like indoor plants, sunshine, fresh air, and putting up art :) I’m often singing but I’m told I’m good at it, I like to put on loud music and dance around the house when I’m home alone or if someone wants to dance with, but am also very capable of quieting the fuck down when people need to sleep/concentrate. I’m silly, playful, and affectionate, but also a proper grown up. Ideally I’m looking for a place which has a sunroom/study/spare room/office where I would be able to set up my desk and teach my voice students from. I teach about 3 days a week, 5 hours maximum, finishing by 8pm at the latest (a lot of the time a lot less/earlier). Totally keen to make said teaching room also a shared art room and useable by anyone else at times when I’m not teaching! Or happy to pay a little extra rent for the use of the extra room. I've put $230 per week as max budget but I am really hoping to get less than that. I'm currently paying $200/week.

Hi, My name is Darcy. I am a 22-year-old guy, and am a 3rd year engineering student at RMIT Bundoora. I also work part time as a dishy in the CBD (mostly night time work). About Me... In my spare time I like watching movies, listening to music, gaming, and skiing in winter. I am single, generally pretty quiet, and keep to myself in my spare time, but I am always up for a drink and a catch-up. I have been living in share houses for the last 3 years and am looking for a new place as my current lease is coming to an end and my housemates have decided to live elsewhere. What I am Looking For... I am looking for a new place that will suit my schedule going between work and Uni. I would love to live with some people that I can get along well with, but I am also conscious and respectful of the personal space required in a share house. I’m generally a pretty tidy person (but not crazy about it!) and I like to cook my own meals, I am looking for housemates who are similar. What Now? I would love to come and see the house and the room, it looks like a great space that would suit me perfectly. Is there a time that suits you, for me to come and get to know you guys and check out the space? If there is anything else you want to know about me, just ask! Looking forward to meeting you, Darcy

The home accommodates 3 people very comfortably. It is a pet free, female only home, so no partner/boyfriend sleepovers or visits. It would suit a non-smoker that is mature, respectful and responsible; maintaining harmony in the home is really important so you need to be able to be considerate of others as well as be able to take care of the facilities that are provided in the home, be able to cook for yourself as well as clean up after yourself. My adult children have moved out so I've made two bedrooms in my home available for rent. You will be sharing the home with myself and another young woman (35 year old) who works full time, is originally from Melbourne and who has recently returned from her extensive travels overseas. I'm a professional business woman in my late 50's. I work from home on a part time basis as a bookkeeper/accountant. I also teach meditation at a Wellbeing Centre in Coburg. I am quiet, enjoy reading, listening to music, meditating, my garden, sewing, keeping up with current events, watching documentaries and art house movies and the company of a few good friends. We both really enjoy sharing the day's events and stimulating conversation over a lovely meal! Please message me here or call or text to inquire further or arrange a time to come and inspect the property.
ALL FEMALE, VERY BEAUTIFUL COMFORTABLE FULLY-EQUIPPED SHARE-HOME BRUNSWICK/COBURG This Edwardian wooden home and luxuriant garden are an extremely pleasant space for comfortable urban living. The house is well insulated against extremes of weather and well provided with heaters and fans for each inhabited room and the garden provides fruit and vegetables all year round. In addition to the Rent-plus-wifi-electricity-gas quoted above, another one hundred dollars is put in a kitty for day to day household expenses like cleansers and toile paper. The house is an unusual design, somewhat feminine in appeal perhaps. The back garden in particular is very shady for a cool summer outside space. Everything we need is here with space to add if you wish. Two gorgeous cats have lived here all their lives, while I have lived here thirteen years, each year visiting Arunachala mountain in South India for a few months or more. The spacious main bedroom with its own garden porch is free now in a house that is surprisingly cool in summer with the curtains drawn and insulation, and it can be kept nice and cosy in winter. The porch is sheltered from the street by a massive cumquat tree that is usually fruiting and flowering in a variety of stages. The entrance to the room is in the main entrance hallway, near to the bathroom. It's a lovely room. If this might very well suit you then please contact me, perhaps by email first if you have questions or would like more photos and if not then text me to set a time for you to visit. The home is near the border between Brunswick and Coburg in Queen Street, Coburg. I hope to hear from you soon. Apeetha Arunagiri

This room is $220 per week plus bills. The second room is a large room at the front of the house with lots of beautiful natural light and a big double wardrobe. This room is $215 plus bills. At the moment we are 2 girls and 2 guys aged 20 to 27. We are not fussed if you are a girl or a guy - as long as you are a generally clean and tidy nice person. Room (downstairs): $200 a week. Bond $800. The house: Awesome five bedroom, two storey, modern house on a quiet street. Very clean and well-kept. Plenty of free, on-street parking - no permit required. The spaces that are available are a downstairs bedroom in the main house and a converted modern two storey apartment behind main house. Bedroom 1 Enough room for a Queen/King bed, desk, etc. There is an extensive built-in robe as well as shelving in each room. The upstairs room is larger with more wardrobe space. There are four bedrooms inside the house - two downstairs and two upstairs. There are two bathrooms inside the house - one upstairs and one downstairs (only share with one other person). Downstairs there is a large claw foot bath and upstairs there is a spa bath. There is also a converted apartment out the back (fifth person). The house is very comfortable, very large, fully-furnished (except bedrooms) with great furniture and top notch kitchen appliances, including microwave, double dishwasher, smeg oven and all other kitchen needs. There is a giant walk-in pantry, two fridges, two large living rooms with two large TVs, a laundry with new washer and dryer, ducted central heating and cooling. The bedrooms are not furnished. There is one near-new Queen bed and a desk available if needed. We have a great entertaining area on the patio and the back yard has tasty a edible garden and lovely lawn that is nice for lying in the sun in summer. Lots of storage space in and under the house. Current tenants: There are four bedrooms in the main house (two downstairs and two upstairs) and two bathrooms. At the moment two girls live upstairs - a female journalist, 28, and a teacher who is moving out to travel the world. And two girls live downstairs - a prison guard, 28, and a travel agent, who is moving out. In the apartment is a 31-year-old Brazillian guy who works in advertising. We are looking for a nice, fun, easy going, respectful, clean housemate. Preferably someone about 27-32 who is a young professional like us. We're a creative group of people looking for two like-minded people to complete our household. We are looking for someone wants to stay for at least 12 months. We are looking for someone with a full set of adult skills, such as initiative to take the bins out, mow the lawn, help out, pay bills/rent on time, etc. No tight arses. We use the heating and cooling, we split bills evenly (even if people go away), we buy three-ply toilet paper and eco friendly house products. 100 per cent non smoking, even outside. No new pets (We do have a stray cat that has decided to forcibly join our household, but she doesn't like other pets, and our pet-hating neighbours have complained to council about nearly every dog in the street). Lifestyle: We've strived to create a warm, comfortable, calm, happy house that is a nice respite from busy life. While we're all very socially active, this is not a party house. We tend to do our partying outside the house. All housemates are more than welcome to have friends, partners, lovers, one night stands over as much as they want (no one is going to make you pay extra if they shower at the house or anything like that). We work hard and when we get home we run the heater, use the tumble dryer and turn the lights on (life's too short to sit around in the cold and dark). Some of us work shift work so need to be able to tolerate people getting home/using the kitchen/bathrooms early in the morning and late at night. RACISM, SEXISM AND HOMOPHOBIA NOT TOLERATED. Bills: We have a cleaner that comes every fortnight ($20 each per fortnight). We have unlimited internet ($18 each a month). We split all utility bills equally between all five tenants (about $100 a month each at the highest). Transport: Plenty of free street parking, no time limits, no permit needed. The tram stop is at the end of the street at Jacob's Reserve park. Tram number 55, stop 38, runs along the end of the street into the city and leaves regularly. It takes 10 minutes on the tram to get to Melbourne Uni. Quick drive and good parking at either Anstey or Jewel train stations. Very close to City Link - 10 minute drive into the city off-peak. 15 minute walk or three minute taxi to Sydney Rd. Sweeteners - There will be a real, 10ft Christmas tree at Christmas! For details contact Alex
The Home This two bedroom home is in a great location on a quiet, tree lined street. Close to Bell Street, Sydney Rd, Coburg train station and several cafes/shops. A nice little shed and garden out the back with tomatoes, herbs and room for more.
*Update* I had originally posted the wrong price and details of the room so this has now been updated. Hey guys! Sadly one of our housemates is leaving for other adventures so we now have a spacious double room available in our modern town house located in Brunswick West. Located on Albion Street, we have the 503 bus service on our doorstep, The 59 and 55 tram line a 10 minute walk away and the Essendon train station a 15 minute walk away. About the house: The house is very modern with HEAPS of storage and the communal living area is huge, so if you come with furniture, we don't mind! There isn't a backyard but we do have a reasonable sized courtyard/patio area; there are parks close-by. There is a double garage with space for storage and there is also free parking on the road. The room is massive with lush carpet and a private courtyard and also has an extremely efficient wall heater. There's a freestanding wardrobe if you'd like it. You will be sharing a large bathroom (with a bath) with three other housemates. The flatmates: Blake - A Melbourne-born Special crash investigator (Fancy huh?) Jimmy - Tattoo artist from Wellington, NZ Jen - Manages tattoo studio, also from NZ Jabez - Melbourne-born office worker Tessa - Uni student from Geelong We are all very social and enjoy having drinks/meals together, the odd quiz night and often end up sitting around the table in the evenings chatting about life. But we also like to be able to relax and have our own space, being respectful of others belongings and need for sleep. We're very open-minded so vegos, vegans, straight, gay, lesbian, 6 toes or whatever - we don't care! Excellent banter is a must and shit attitudes are not! Rent will be $700pcm with an extra $100 for bills (Power, gas, internet, home phone, Netflix, fridge rental) so a total of $800pcm. Move in cost is: Bond $600 + month in advance $800 = $1400. You preferably would be working full-time or studying/working and come with some references/rental history. The room will be available 1st April Feel free to message me if you have any questions or to organise a time for a meet and greet if this sounds like you :) NOTE: Please only contact me via Flatmates.com.au as my mobile is used for work purposes. Hi! We are Kirra and Oliver, a 24/25 year old looking for a long term home and some fabulous people to share it with :) We will be looking in June/July but would like to get in nice and early to find the right people so we can look for the right place together. About us: I'm 25, work full time in the aviation industry and have lived in Melbourne for about 6 months. Oliver is 24, Norwegian, works in hospitality and is building a game design portfolio. He is moving from Brisbane to Melbourne in August and we will be looking for a place together. We've been together about 3 years and lived together before I relocated for work. We are both very familiar with share house environments. What we are looking for in potential housemates: We would ideally like to live with another couple but open to options. Ideally you would be reliable and social, quiet during the week but up for having a drink together on the weekend. Bonus points if you're up for an occasional wine and board games night :) Dog friendly (while we don't have any pets we are considering getting one in the near future). What we are looking for in a house: Must have: reasonable distance to public transport, 2+ bedrooms, decent backyard, pet friendly or pets considered, inner north/north west Ideally would have: 2 bathrooms, relatively modern, decent sized kitchen, preferably no carpet Would love to chat if this sounds like what you're looking for and you'd like to find a place together :)
Hi, We are a couple been in Perth, WA for 8Years now, we have decided to make a major move in our life and move to east with our two adorable Guinea Pigs (Zip & Button). To start with we are looking for a place for 4 to 6 Weeks and a possible extension further if everyone is happy with us. We made an Airbnb booking for a month but unfortunately, the HOST canceled the booking at the last minute, with only 12more days before we arrive in Melbourne we are looking for a place to live. We are very clean & tidy couple, love a laugh, enjoy a glass of wine every now and then, love cooking, play sport, into photography. Myself into administration worked for NGO before and passionate about astrology. Kiran was an IT professional currently working as a store manager and part-time mobile App creator, now he decided to take few of his Mobile App concepts full time and also set up his own company with few of his friends. Zip & Button are fluffy guinea pigs much loved and well looked after. They live indoors in their own hutch, we keep them and their cage very clean all the time and we will have a HEPA Air Cleaner running in their room to keep the air free from any impurities my husband is a clean freak lol.... We have a very sound rental history and can provide our property managers reference if you like. Moved house only once in 8Years as we moved to a different town. Still good friends with the previous owner. We will be arriving Melbourne on the 29th March. We are leaving Perth on 19th March, excited about the 3,500KM drive ahead of us bit worried about our stay upon arrival but quite positive about it for now. We can organize a video viewing at your convenience if you are happy with our profile. Shelly
Im a qualified landscaper and from melbourne. Im very social and quite easy to live with but like anyone i keep to myself at times. i love meeting new people and always make an effort to get along with everyone. I dont really like conflict and i believe compromising is the ticket to sharehouse success. I like to help anyone when i can so asking me for a favour is more than ok. I like to keep things neat and tidy but im no clean freak mopping floors every 30min. I like to keep busy so handyman jobs are my go to at home, especially outside. I enjoy socialising, travelling, camping, skiing, anything sport related, keeping fit, hitting the local for a few drinks. I do have a 3y/o german shephard whos very friendly and well trained, but have alternative solutions for her.
