I am extremely flexible and lenient. I'm very organized and clean with my belongings. I've lived with messy roommates in the past so I'm accustomed to pretty much everything. I'm a big fan of splitting up chores around the house/suite/apartment and organizing it so everyone does an equal share. I'm an American studying abroad during the upcoming Fall semester at Uni Melb and all I wanna do is explore and adventure. I enjoy hanging around, chatting to friends, walking around town and discovering new things. I enjoy visiting local attractions the most as I find they hold the most character, good vibes, and lead to the most fun. Seeing as I'm studying abroad, I fully plan on taking every opportunity to explore, which includes traveling all over the place. I'm a really easygoing guy and super easy to impress and please so recommendations of places to visit would be awesome. In my spare time I like to do pixel art, game dev, and just generally chill with people. P.S. Cheers for reading this far, haha. As a general aside, my family lives in England, but being an American I've never drank before, so at some point I'd like to go visit a bar/go party. I've had tons of friends that party and drink but I've just never been interested. I think it's time I give this shit a try, haha. So if you wanna drag me out and go bar hopping I'm all for it. TL;DR : I'm an easygoing guy, who's studying abroad from the US and wants to explore. I'm organized, clean, and easy to room with.
I’m Yvette and I’m 27. I’ve just moved from Brisbane to Melbourne for work. I’m working in the funeral industry and my schedule will be 12 hr shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off. Night shift every 10 weeks and I’ll likely be flying home to Brisbane every 2-3 months on my week off as well. On my weeks off I’ll likely be keeping myself busy, running errands, exploring, socialising, going to shows, etc. I’m pretty quiet; I like to keep busy so I’m not around a lot, and when I am, I like to use my time at home to unwind and relax. I like keeping things clean and tidy. However I don’t believe in rosters for chores. We’re all adults and if something is noticeably dirty, you should just clean it because you care about your home. I’m pretty deligent when it come to managing my finances so paying rent/bills on time is never an issue. I also have a cat, her name is Vengeance. She is such a sweet girl. She’s gorgeous and very needy. Despite her name, she’s extremely friendly and she’s a very chill cat. I would prefer she be the only cat in the household, but I would be open to her meeting other cats first and see how they get along. Ultimately, she’s my best pal and I want her to be happy and comfortable in our new home. I’m ideally looking to share with one other person in a place that has 3 bedrooms. I feel as though having a third bedroom as a storage room/guest room/study/whatever will make the place seem less cramped. It’s not completely necessary though. My main requirement is that the place I’ll be living in must have a bath. Extremely important. I was living alone in Brisbane so I have a lot of furniture/appliances to contribute to the place. I have a fridge, washing machine, dryer, portable air con, heater, vacuum cleaner, iron etc, sewing machine/overlocker, lounge suite, coffee table, bookshelves, a telephone chair? (Idk why. Impulse antique purchase but it’s pretty), a cabinet, probably too many clothing racks, standard kitchen stuff (toaster, kettle, blender, juicer, food processor, microwave, plus cookware, glassware, crockery, utensils, etc). I can store/sell/donate things that aren’t needed.
Hi, I'm Thomasin. I work full time in the city as a web developer, looking for a quiet place. I eat mainly pre made meals and shakes so I don't make any mess in the kitchen, and I can clean up after myself. Been in Melbourne for 4 years, originally from New Zealand. A couple of drinks/meals/getting nails done every now and then with flatmates is nice but I'm not a partier and I'm not super outgoing I like to do my own thing. I train 3-5 times a week after work so often home a bit later. I'm into walks, lying around on my computer, pottery, comfortable silences. I have a partner who will probably stay over 1/2 times a week but we try get out of the house as much as we can so won't be in your way. I don't drive so living ~10min max from public transport is really a must for me to get into work every day. I am not vegetarian but all my meals w/ meat in them are premade so I never cook any any and it won't be in your face. Looking to live with other people in their 20s, preferably girls. (-:
Heya! How you going? I'm Sara, 28yo Italian language teacher. I work in 2 schools for adults in Abbotsford. I am very easy going, friendly, very well travelled, clean, respectful, love music, wine, the beach, the snow, arts and adventures and making tiramisu ;). Love to be out in the sun and make the most of my time here. I come from Cinque Terre, a pretty place in North-West Italy by the sea....I lived in the Uk, Germany and Australia in the past 6 years. This time, I fell in love with Melbourne and I'd like to stay at least one more year. I have aussie and international friends here in Melbourne since this would be my third year being based here. I am looking for a non-crazy expensive place to share with nice people who will become my friends and have a laugh when we are all at home together, but also give each other personal space of course! Cheeers, please message me for any question!
Hi I'm Michael, I'm originally from Townsville, and studied in Brisbane. I recently got a graduate job in Melbourne, so I'm hoping to find some accommodation around 5th-12th February in a suburb near Abbotsford. I like soccer, reading, and most pets. I'm quite easy-going, but am very considerate of others in shared areas. I generally prefer to cook my own meals, and am open to flatmates who like to entertain guests.
I love good food and music and like to go out on the weekend and work on projects during the week. I’m a pretty balanced person, I'm up for socialising but also sense when someone doesn't feel like talking. I'm very respectful and clean but not OCD. I'm also very open minded. I have travelled a lot and lived in the Netherlands and Montreal.
Hello all, I am moving to Melbourne from Sydney for work, I currently live in Newtown a suburb I love for its community and diversity. I am looking for a friendly neighbourhood to live in with respectful flatmates. My work hours are quite demanding, (I work as an analyst) so my household requirements for the time I do spend at home would include a high level of tidiness and cleanliness in communal areas. I am looking for a household that is friendly and welcoming, with flatmates who are keen to chat, but provide a nice balance to allow me some personal space to unwind. Outside of work, I enjoy: - Cooking dinner at home most nights - Learning Tango - Always up for pub trivia - Weekends: exercise, catch up with friends, watch Netflix as well as read in cafes and/or at home. What I'm looking for: A clean home (meaning bathroom and kitchen are maintained) also not opposed to the idea of sharing the costs for an external cleaner. Flexible with moving dates. Looking for a place sometime before 14th March 2018. Look forward to hearing from you, Luke
Hi I'm Kim, 30 years old. I work part time hours as an osteopath. I am friendly, easy going, clean, tidy and very responsible with rent and bills always paid on time. Always up for a chat and meeting new people but also respects people's own space as I enjoy my own down time. Have been living by myself for nearly 2 years now, but need to find a place since landlords are selling up the current place that I'm living in. Looking for a peaceful, respectful, considerate, clean, non-party household. My interests include socialising with my friends, photography, music, language learning, meditation, yoga, the occasional night out and travel when I get the opportunity.
Hi! I've recently moved to Melbs from Sydney so plenty of places to explore and keep me busy. Love checking out fun stuff, breweries, art exhibitions, music, camping and beach time whenever I can manage it. Eventually I'll bring my surfboard down and hopefully find some waves too! I'm an interior stylist with standard weekday hours. Would be awesome to live with chilled out people who are keen for the occasional shared meal, drink and chat. I'm clean, tidy, considerate and love a good laugh. I try to keep a bit healthy so I can eat all the cheese and drink all the gin. Also love super spicy food and am a podcast obsessive so if you have any good ones hit me up.
Originally from Ireland, I've been living in Perth for the last 18 months. I'm relocating to Melbourne at the end of January. I'll be working in Epping as a junior doctor so I'm looking for somewhere between town and Epping on the South Morang line. I'm easy going. I've lived in multiple previous share houses and I know how to get on well. I'm looking forward to exploring Melbourne with new friends in my free time. I'm planning on bringing my car across, so ideally would be looking for a place with a parking space on/off street.
Well traveled cultured independent woman, who takes pride in my life and living space. Just arrived from Perth! I’m chilled, friendly and social but also love a lot of down alone time , like any well balanced Libra 😉 You could find me at a Latin gig sweating it out on the dance floor, browsing through an Op shop, with a good book and a chai, going to Yoga and Thai boxing classes! I am a professional and also a practicing Hypnotherapist, I promise I won’t turn you into a chicken in the middle of the night but could help you with your chocolate addiction 😜 I am Looking for a spacious room, in very close proximity of city and public transport Look forward to hearing from you, if you have a place in these areas!
Hi, I’m Fiona. I am moving to Melbourne for 6 months for work and excited to see what the city has to offer. I’m a geologist and like to do outdoorsy things but also socialise with friends, cook etc, all the normal stuff
Brit currently living in Melbourne. Working full time as a Business Manager in the food production business. I am a pretty chilled out guy that loves keeping active, usually by pounding the tarmac on my road bike , practising BJJ or playing sport. A little geek at heart, enjoy shows like Rick & Morty, Mr Robot and Bojack Horseman. I am looking for a relaxed quiet house, with working professionals, no more than 3 occupants. I'll be working relatively long days in the week and will look to relax with a wine or beer in the evenings while watching something on tv. On the weekends I will mainly be out and about exploring and searching for a little bit of an adventure. I also need a spot for my car so off-street parking is ideal. Ideally the accommodation will have access to parking either on / off street as I will have a car. I have had 2 family dogs and will happily live with pets. 28th Feb is my ideal move date, however this can be earlier in feb as well.
Hey, I am 32, Scottish and here as a permanent resident. Just over 2 years in Melbourne now but always keen to learn and discover more. I currently live in Fairfield but want to move to Clifton Hill, Hawthorne or nearby. Looking to move in around end Jan/ start Feb for 6 months initially, but could continue if suits all. Into rock climbing, touch, cycling, running and the gym most nights. When I am home, I enjoy socializing, cheesey movies and a beer or wine. I have recently taken up home brew so I am hoping for someone capable of dishing out a white lie now and again when it comes to tasting. 😊. I also love all things tech, nerdy and things even remotely connected to Elon. I work full-time in an office, usually long, but social hours. Friendly, clean and very tidy. I are more than happy to contribute to communal area cleaning and fully respect keeping shared areas clean and tidy. If you feel we could become a team, get in touch. Thanks Ross
Hey! I'm Renz and I'm a recently graduated pharmaceutical scientist from Adelaide who is relocating to Melbourne for work mid-February (1 year contract, full time). My work is situated in Abbotsford and I won't be bringing my car with me so I'm hoping to find a place close to a train station along the Hurstbridge or South Morang line. When I'm not at work, I enjoy being active by going to the gym or the dance studio (I'm a hip hop dancer, just if you're curious). Or if I'm in a lazy mood, I enjoy cooking/baking, jamming on my guitar or chilling out with a good movie/tv series. I'm very tidy, easy-going, respectful of people and their personal space, and always down to meet new people and make new friends!
We are a couple moving to Melbourne mid/end of January 2018. Mitch is starting a new full time job in construction management and Anna works full time in retail and studies law. We're both friendly, clean people who are happy to keep to ourselves but also enjoy getting to know our fellow housemates. We like to think we're pretty laid back. Interested in having a few drinks on the weekend but have predominantly outgrown the party lifestyle. Bonus is that we have very few friends in Melbourne so we don't have people to party with if we wanted to! Given our workloads there will be plenty more nights in relaxing than going out and we're looking for a relaxing and clean home to come back to after work. Mitch will be working full time mon-fri and probably out and about socialising and playing sport in his free time. Looking to get back into football, cycling and general fitness. Life mission is to make the perfect pizza dough, still working on it but getting closer every time. Anna will probably be doing the opposite, namely watching the flix or reading a book and sinking some red. I also come with as many plants as you will allow me to have. I'll be attempting to study a couple topics in my third year of law long distance and working full time in Fitzroy. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, we're happy to oblige! Move in date can be flexible. Thanks! Anna and Mitch
What makes me great to live with? I'm friendly, funny, kind, neat and respectful. I work full time as an architect - on weeknights I like to see friends or just chill out at home. I want to live with people who will share a drink and a laugh, who are neat and tidy but not too pedantic and uptight about such things. I have an interesting way of viewing the world, have had an interesting upbringing and like to talk about the meaning of life. I don't have any weird/annoying habits and as far as I know all of my previous housemates have enjoyed my presence :) I love art, nature, music and beautiful films. Send me a message if you think I'd be a good match and we can take it from there :)
I'm a 23-year-old recent Swinburne Graduate. I was born in Poland and moved to Melbourne about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, my flatmate with whom I have been living ever since I moved to Melbourne is now moving out and I have to find a new place to stay. I'm young yet mature, very easy going and respectful. I'm interested in art and design, enjoy going to art galleries and exhibitions in my free time. I usually cook at home every second day, I'm very tidy and rather quiet. I don't own a car so I would prefer to stay in a place located relatively close to public transport. If you own any animals it's a massive bonus cause I love pets, especially dogs :)
My name is Laura, I just finished off a Master of Social Work. I've been living in the Brunswick area for the past four years and would love to stay around town. Like a true Northsider, my main form of transportation is my trusty bicycle. Although I do have a car! I am a domestic goddess due to my many years in hospo, I knew the motto of "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" would come in handy one day. I am vegetarian. I work full time in Brunswick. Warning: I have an addiction to house plants and love a good garden. I enjoy reading, pot luck dinners and live music. I love getting outdoors and am a keen hiker. I'm also a diver.
Irish, working full time as a PR/Events Manager with an agency in Southbank. Sociable, easy going and tidy! Non smoker. No pets, unfortunately! Music lover, love going to gigs, festivals or whatever is on around town. Looking for somewhere that I can hang out with the housemates over a glass of wine or food but also respect each other’s space. Ideally looking for a furnished room for a minimum of three months.
From Melbourne, looking to move closer to the city for work... Really easy going, love a chat but also respect personal space. Neat and tidy and prefer a clean living space, but not ocd either.. :) Work as a wardrobe stylist and personal shopper and enjoyin being out and about and also keeping fit, massive foodie! - enjoy cooking when I’m in the mood and pretty experimental..willing to take on requests! Interests are music, fashion, basketball movies/reality tv haha
So a bit about me - I’m 22 and am working part time as a Myotherapist and studying full time at La Trobe. I am pretty easy going person and love a chat over a glass of wine (or two) about our days or a good Netflix binge. I enjoy music and try to go to gigs when possible. I am clean and will keep on top of household cleaning as much as possible, I have lived in share houses before and understand all the basics of sharing a living space.
Hi my name is Tarika, I am 19 and I am moving to Melbourne this year from Tassie. I will be studying interior design and I'll also be working as a part time job. I am very tidy. I love cooking (especially healthy food) and I also love taking care of my health which means I keep myself active physically and mentally. (going to the gym, playing tennis and trying different classes like ceramics and cooking classes just for fun). I love going out for brunches and going for walks, some days I love staying home and watch Netflix while drinking tea or white wine with companies. I am very social and easy to talk to. I do like to go out some nights but I will always put my studies first place as I am serious about my career pathway. I have lived alone for two years in Tassie which means I am an independent person, it was a great experience. I’m looking for a awesome roommate who is responsible but also like to have fun and be social. I think living experience is so much nicer when the people you live with are friends, so would love to live with a friendly and warm person!
