I'm down to earth, very open-minded, tidy and easily sociable. I have lived with others since I moved out of home 4 years ago so I have some experience in living with friends and people I hadn't met prior. I happily keep combined/communal areas clean and understand that personal space is a must. I am all up for the combined dinner and drink with the household every now and then as well though. I am not looking to live in a party house, just a place that I can call home and feel comfortable in. The biggest place I've lived is Geelong and I am to start a new job as a Registered Nurse (Grad) at St Vincent's Hospital, Fitzroy. I'm very much looking forward to soaking up some of the "Melbourne lifestyle" while I'm young and able to do so. Any info/direction from new housemates would be greatly appreciated. It would be ideal that my new housemates were like-minded people that held similar values of respect, personal space and sociability as myself. I have one cat, Peppa, who is 9 years old and just as a cat is, friendly, cute meow on her and sleeps a lot. She is 100% indoors, and I would need to feel confident that the people I live with would ensure she didn't get out of a forgotten window or open door - Melbourne traffic wouldn't be kind to her I don't think. NOTE: Although I want her with me and she's so low maintenance, alternative arrangements have been made for her to live in if I am unable to have her in my accommodation. Also I have a little hatchback that I would like an off-street park for (if possible) to keep it safe while driving it minimally. Looking to move preferably early-mid January 2017 as I start my new job on the 23rd of January - Willing to move earlier if need be.
Hey I'm Mary! Currently looking for a room as my housemates in West Melb are moving home to Perth. Working full time @ Monash Uni, otherwise I'm at the gym or out with friends. Super easy going, friendly and clean! Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks xx
Hi future flatmate, I'm a very easy-going, clean, responsible, uncomplicated and respectful person. I've lived in shared apartments before and have always gotten along with my flatmates really well. I'm usually at uni or working during the week and spend my free time and evenings with friends or doing flips and getting thrown in the air (I'm a competitive cheerleader ;)). When I'm home I like to relax, cook delicious meals and bake even more delicious treats. I enjoy spending time on my own but am also always up for a good chat. If you feel like we'd be a good fit shoot me a message :) Excited to hear from you. Angelika
British Permanent Resident looking for person/people to start a flat share with from January. I work in residential education and will be at work upto three nights per week. When I am home, I am looking for flatmates who want to share house dinner or trips to the pub. I am looking for this to be a Home as opposed to being a place groups of people live. I like to keep a clean house, but am more then happy with the lived in vibe. For a potential flatmate, I am not bothered about Gender, Race, Age, Relationship Status etc as long as we get along, you are happy to pay half the rent and be on the tenancy then I think there will be no issues. I am looking for anywhere in the Northern Suburbs and am quite happy to wait for the right house.
Hi, I'm Marcel! Brazilian, Master's student based in the Netherlands and now in Melbourne for a 6-month research internship. This means that I would like to find a place to move in asap, where I could stay until May. I consider myself organized, easy going and very open-minded (hard to avoid clichés here, right?). I love cooking, hiking, and getting to know new people, languages and cultures. My weeks are going to be very busy, but I would love to spend some time with my future roommates during weekends. Feel free to contact me if you have a room to offer so we can arrange an inspection :)
23 year old manager who can quote more episodes of Kath &v Kim and more moments from The Castle than anyone you would have ever met. My weekdays consist of me going to work, the gym & then watching documentrys & Netflix, my weekends consist of me going out for drinks on a Saturday & then brunch on a Sunday. Looking for someone to share a place with who lives a similar "is she a party girl or a sad loner, I don't know?" Sort of lifestyle! If you want to know more about me instead of reading this dribble- hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan This is Amy.
I currently work full time as an IT consultant during weekdays. I love meeting new people and having long lasting friendships, so I'm looking for someone like-minded who wants to make a home and not just a place to sleep in. A little bit about my house habits: I can't cook very well so I often don't even try -- but hey, that's less water consumed for the month, and if you're like me, we can always order in food together. Except for rice. I'm good at cooking rice. I'm clean without being over the top. I keep my belongings to a minimum as I don't really have a penchant for knick knacks... and my laptop entertains me enough during the week (see: IT consultant). Will most likely faint at the sight of a spider or a roach. During my down time I enjoy watching Netflix/Stan, reading books, browsing the web and maybe chatting with you! I really need to strengthen up / be more fit, so if you're an advocate for healthy living I would love your assistance in dragging my lazy ass to the park for a morning jog. Cheers, Deb
Yami - is a chilled, respectful guy who enjoys reading fiction & non-fiction, singing in the shower, the occasional TV show (game of thrones etc) and card games (but he can get pretty competitive!) He also gets up at the crack of dawn 3 days a week to train in Krav Maga! He's also a pretty decent cook of both omnivorous & vegan meals! Alex - is a very relaxed, zany character, he's always good for a laugh and/or philosophical conversation. He enjoys debating the finer points of alcohol, but most of all he enjoys concocting his next hair-brained weekend adventure! Both of us are full time Solar power marketing professionals who respect the cleanliness & tidiness of communal spaces, we love animals, and we're MASSIVE foodies! Alex smokes very occasionally & Yami not at all. We're available to move in any weekend from the 3-4 of Dec onwards, the sooner the better!
Hey funky friends! So here's the boring stuff straight up - My name is Alannah, I am from the South Gippsland region and I finished Year 12 in 2015 and have had a nice gap year this year and am studying Psychology at Deakin University in Burwood in 2017... So, you know, I gotta find me some good ol' accommodation. Not too costly preferably, as I am a classic poor Uni student. 😅 Now to the good shit. I am a world-class Mario Kart 64 player so if you're feeling it we can 10/10 have a tournament (I'll supply the goods - controllers, console, wine etc) or we can just play any 64 game together and swim in our nostalgia and your tears when I kick yo' ass. Wii, DS, XBOX and PlayStation games are also welcome with open arms. 😘 Sorry to fit the stereotype that vegans tell you they're vegan even when you don't ask, but, I am vegan. I don't care if you're not vegan. We can have sausage sizzles and burgers and massive fiestas together and we'll drink some Sangria and release our inner Spanish sides (even though my heritage is purely Scottish, English and French 😅) and, I don't mean to toot my own horn (I do) but I make a meeeean vegan spaghetti bolognese. Sausage rolls, too, that have been approved by many Omni's. So why wouldn't you have me as your house mate? If you have some little beings living in your house I'll like you even more. Woofers? Meowers? Sqwarkers? Squeekers? Oh yas, bring 'em on, baby. Brownie points for you if you got dem pets. My hair color will change frequently depending on my mood. No -unfortunately I'm not Nymphadora Tonks - I just wear wigs. #theredhairisfake #imactuallyablonde I'm not a massive party animal, but if you're having a party I'll totally join in. And all jokes aside, I am very respectful and will give you space and be clean and all those top qualities. Hit me up with a message if you'd be keen on finding a place together. I look forward to hearing from you.
Easy going, hard working New Zealanders who also love going out in the weekends. We are looking to make the move to Melbourne to start our graduate careers. Have room shared for many years during uni so fully accustomed to living with others. We are clean, social, respectful and generally all round OG's.
Katie here! I work Mon-Fri 9-5 in the skincare industry in Richmond. I try to keep fit and healthy and hit the gym a few times a week, but life is all about balance so I also eat many a burger and drink many a beer on the weekends. Party days are over but I am always up for a tipple at the local. Looking for a share house with likeminded people who are clean, fun and happy. I've done my dash with housemates who are needy and require daily counselling. I am ok with apartments, provided the bedrooms are spacious and it doesn't feel like a box in the sky. Would ideally love a house with a yard of some kind. Looking for a long term place to call home with awesome people to call friends. I have lived in share houses before and am very house trained. Katie x ***Please don't message me if your place doesn't fit my desired description above***
Part time hospo and full time student looking for a creative and friendly share house that is more like a home and wine and cheese are not out of place. Being welcomed in to motley crew of souls that are happy to hang out together, but are also repectful of personal space would be ideal.
I'm Jane, I'm 26, and I work in hospitality and I've just transferred from Monash to RMIT thus the move closer to the centre of things. I've also just got back from a year living overseas working with an NGO in India most of that time, and travelling around SE Asia. I love travel and balance that with working a lot of hospo jobs to try and save $$. I'd be looking at staying here for at least 12 months though as I save up for a bigger trip (going overland from Asia to the UK in 2018!). I've lived in share houses for about 8 years now, do the normal sharehouse things like wash my dishes when they appear and clean up after myself, and I'm good at using the saucepan method of removing spiders from places without killing them. I like gardening as well, mostly keeping herbs alive nowdays, and wrangling in overgrown backyards if I can find somewhere inner city with a garden 🙂 I love a glass of wine, cheese platters, netflix, and chill drinks, and going to fancy cheap BYO restaurants and going out to gigs. I'm not really a party person, and I am happy to both keep to myself in a house, or be super friendly and hang out with everyone, I've lived in places with different dynamics and I'm happy to go with the flow 🙂 I'd love to find somewhere I can move into by the 10th of December, but can be flexible. Thanks!
Hi, I'm Emily, although only my parents call me Emily when I'm in trouble so lets go with Em. I'm 23, currently working fulltime in sunny Brisbane. Next year in April, I will be venturing down south eventually starting study at the Mercer School of Interior Design in Collingwood. I will have a full time work position secured before moving down. I'm very active, I love my fitness and sport and keeping healthy but I also enjoy socializing and having a drink or two.( Or 1000, kidding- but seriously I do enjoy a good dance and boogie.) If you have pets, I'm also an animal lover. Seeing as I will be leaving my little puppies back with my parents, this would be an amazing extra to win me over. I know a handful of people in Melbourne, so I would love to live with someone who is friendly and sociable so I can meet new people. That's it from me for now :)
I'm an osteopath that has been lucky enough to travel the world with work for the past 10yrs. Will be settling back in Melbourne in the new year & I'm looking for a place not too far from the city. I enjoy my sport, live music, food, cooking and keeping fit. I'm tidy and easy going. I will also be traveling for work between 10-15 weeks of the year if that helps. :)
I'm a PhD student at University of Melbourne. I am from Colombia and have spent my last five years living in different places abroad, the last two living here in Australia. I'm really laid back, easy to talk with. I'm tidy and clean or at least try to keep things like that. I want flatmates to socialise with but also keep each other privacy. During my free time, I like to watch TV/movies, explore the city, go out with friends, try restaurants.
Hi, I'm Georgia, I work full time in politics and study part time. I love reading, theatre, Netflix and a good cup of tea. I've lived out of home for three years, never had an issue with a housemate, am always prompt with bills and rent and generally tidy. Weekends find me watching the footy or having a few drinks and hanging out.
We're two friendly, professional Canadians in our 30s who are coming to explore Melbourne for a couple months this summer. Our dates are flexible. We're looking for a place around the beginning of December for about a 2 month stay. We're very respectful and clean, but we're also social and would be down to hang out and have a drink (or not, that's fine too). We love pets (just not cats - I'm unfortunately allergic) so houses with pets are fine by us. We'll be missing our dog and canine company would not go unappreciated. We're also pretty good at cooking and cleaning and all the other things that make cohabitation successful. Hope to meet you soon!
Hi. I've just graduated from Victorian College of the Arts after studying music composition and am about to start a year of honours. I have two part-time jobs, but do a lot of my composing from home (not as noisy as you'd think. I play a digital piano, and record vocals or noises when I know people are out or have said they don't mind). I love a good netflix binge, and spending time going to gigs or walking my dog. I have a dalmatian, Lottie, who is easy going, well trained, and gets along great with all people and other dogs as well. She's super cuddly, and will love you unconditionally. I take pride in where I live, and what I do, and if there's anything else you'd like to know, don't be afraid to ask! Amy
Hi there, my name is Melvin and I've recently moved here from Perth in search of a better work opportunity. That, and probably a bit of study down the track. Presently working as a warehouse assistant and rostered on only week days so my weekends are open. Recently joined the thirties club, friendly and easy going chap with a dry sense of humour who looks and cleans after himself. Always good for a chat every now and then and happy to share a drink or two but also respect people's need for privacy as I like some quiet time myself. Listening to music is something I happen to enjoy a lot. I go to the gym occasionally but playing soccer is my passion. I commit to playing it x3 a week if I can manage but feel I'm getting really bad at the sport!
Hey! I moved from Perth earlier this year. I work in travel and am fairly sociable. However I do like coming home to a clean and tidy place as I also like to have some me time! I am a horrendous cook, so I keep it simple...which also means minimal mess! Ideally my new flatmate(s) will be clean, tidy and respectful and sociable! Currently living in an apartment in Hawthorn East. Flatmate has decided to venture out to a bigger house and I am looking to either stay where I am or meet some new people and move elsewhere. My lease finishes end of January, so my move in date is a little flexible. Ideally looking for a flatmate or two!
Hi! I'm Mitch. I work full time 9-5 for a small private health insurance company. I'm single, non smoker, and currently have no pets. My interests outside of work include seeing live music, enjoying a beverage or two with friends and family, taking iPhone photos of other people's doggos, scrolling through the movies and tv shows on Netflix and not watching a thing, and buying pot plants. I spend a fair few weekends hanging out with my family in country Vic too. I keep my living spaces clean and tidy. I'm chill with cooking my own food or sharing meals with people. I do sometimes go for the convenience of eating out or getting lite and easy delivered weekly. I'm really sociable but also like my own space. I'm all about home being free of confrontation and stress. That's what work is for! I've lived in a really big apartment for 5 years, so I'd like to live in a similar place. Somewhere new and clean with lots of light and lots of space. Looking for 3 bedroom apartments/houses/townhouses. I probably prefer male housemates, but I don't dislike the idea of female housemates. I'd like to get together a group of 3 or so, and look at some apartments/houses/townhouses. Send me a message if you're interested! Cheers, Mitch :)
Hi, I'm from Brisbane moving to Melbourne for my full-time job. I studied fashion design and recently acquired a job in shoe production and design. I'm new to sharehousing but I'm very clean, considerate to other people's privacy and enjoy quiet nights at home.
Tomas, 26yo, Dutch, in Melbourne on a working holiday visa until april. Been living on my own since 18yo so potty-trained; independent and reliable.

Hi there! I a really down to earth 28 yo male, Spanish who has lived in the surrounding of Byron Bay area for 7 years. I went to uni up in Lismore studying osteopathy, a 3 year bachelor and 2 year master. I am like a professional housemate, hahaha! I have lived in many other houses with other flatmates and I am 100% aware of others living under the same roof. I just recently moved to Melbourne to see a bit more of Australia. I would like to live in Melb for at least 1 year. I already got some friends around. I love going to gigs, cultural events, yoga, surfing, hiking, climbing, running and so on. Hi there, I'm Didi. I am 17 years old (18 on Dec 30) and have just graduated from school. I am currently living in Sydney though it has been my plan for over a year now to move to Melbourne. I currently work as a spray tan technician as well as a personal assistant, assisting with the creation and editing of films, documentaries, and a children's book. I am a colorful and energetic character. I'm an easy going, social butterfly and can get along with anyone I meet, although I enjoy and appreciate time alone. I love photography, sports, adventures, fashion and art.
Hi! i'm looking for a great roomie in the melb area of yarraville, seddon, abbotsford or richmond. I'm easy going, mature, quiet, open minded, and independent. Currently working part time, running my own small business and am planning on returning to study in March. I meditate everyday & spirituality is a big part of my life, I wouldn't call myself a new age hippie... although I dont consume meat or animal products. I would like to find someone to share with who's independent, mature, preferably doesn't eat meat also (although not a deal breaker) and open minded.
I am originally from Melbourne but have just moved back after living interstate for the past 4 years. I am a plumber who works 5-6 days a week, on week nights i try to get out to see gigs, go for dinners and exercise and on the weekend i try to get away or look for great things to do around town, in short i try not to be home much. When at home i am extremely clean and like my housemates to be to, i like to have music on rather than a tv and enjoy a good chat over a cup of tea or a few drinks depending on the mood.
Hey folks, I identify as a tidy, bill-punctual, chill, tall and versatile guy. I work in government by day, and by night and on weekends I am a longtalker, deadpan and absurdist banterer, dank meme connoisseur, humanities graduate, reliably good for vino, party games, gigs, intermediate food prep, table tennis, shit jokes, boozy rants with political or philosophical flavourings, and just letting the juice of life drip down my chin. I’m looking for the premium Melbourne sharehouse experience with some harmonious characters, somewhere colourful, inner northeast-ish, with a bit of a garden and within reasonable riding distance of the CBD. Big (4-7 people), sympatico, gender balanced share-households with semi-communal vibes and good people who aren't /too/ normal are all long-standing preferences. I am a nonsmoker and an omnivore, but am pretty comfortable living with people of other persuasions. Pets are a life goal. I'm currently looking for two or three other people who are enthusiastic about the same things, and can fill out applications and attend the occasional inspection within reasonably tight timeframes. I'm currently in an open-ended arrangement with fam in Northcote so am super flexible with moving dates, and can take the lead with house hunting gruntwork if need be. If you're interested in a team-up, or if you've got a space to match and think that we might gel, don’t hesitate - flick me a message. Please, no roomshare, tiny-house or tiny-flat offers. Thank
I'm a cool 22 yr old VFX artist recently moved to Melbourne from Sydney. I graduated from Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation 2015 so I am working full time now in hospotality until I can crack the VFX barrier. I'm a very relaxed down to earth person who is easy to live with (definitely NOT high maintenance). I am a pretty social person as well so I'm down for hangout sessions with roommates and friends. I cook! I'm not a chef but I make a mean omelette and lasagna! I don't mind cooking for others sometimes either, I generally make too much for myself to eat anyway. For fun I like watching movies, playing music (guitar and ukulele), games, tennis, board games, rock climbing and hanging out with friends. I'm a fun person to have around and easy to get along with. Hope I sold myself enough
Hey I am Nick, 26 years old, marketing professional working with a clothing brand, I am friendly and easy to get along with, Work full time during the week and weekends I usually spend with family / friends - looking to make a few new friends while living in a clean and safe space, Cleanliness and hygiene are important to me - I actually enjoy cleaning / cooking :) Feel free to msg if you want to chat further, Cheers !
I am originally from the states, in AUS on a working holiday visa. I am outgoing, friendly, considerate, and very clean!
Howdy, I am a 24-year-old gal named Thanh (pronounced 'tarn'). I work part-time in hospitality and the other part of my time is spent doing voluntary work with children who come up with the most amazing story ideas. I love to read and write and while I do enjoy my alone time, I am definitely up for hanging out and having a chat! Other things I currently like to do is finding sourdough bread on sale at Woolworths, singing off-key to modern pop masterpieces such as What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction, and trying to learn new languages using Duolingo (I am 1% fluent in Italian by the way)(score). I would love a place where I can wind down at the end of the day. I'm quite easygoing, tidy, and respectful - yeah, you know, the usual adjectives. If I sound like a potential roommate, then *finger guns* you know what to do.
My previous housemates describe me as 'super-cruisy' and fun, I'm always smiling and happy to socialise over a good barbeque with a beer. During the week I work hard as a project manager for a consulting company and spend my weekends on adventures or snowboarding/skating/motocross. Very clean and respectful of where I live and looking for housemates who are similar minded.
My name is Leigh, male, and I'm a spritely 36 years old (not crusty and 36). I've been sharehousing since my early twenties so I'm well and truly house broken. I like to thing I'm pretty easy to live with, I do my share of housework, clean up after myself and have no time for drama. At the moment I'm working in a call centre full time while I try and land a job in clinical research; my usual 9 to 5. And no, I don't wear a lab coat or experiment on animals... any more. I keep it pretty low key during the week but on the weekend love going down to the pub for a beer, catching some live music, scuba diving and wakeboarding (once I get my board sent over from Perth). Ideally I'm looking to live with people who are like minded in a lively area. Thanks for reading! P.S. Sorry about the photo, it's the most recent one of me I could find, I just happen to be pulling a face.
Hi I'm Eric. I work full time as a commercial plumber in the city, and play sport out in the suburbs. This means I'm very busy and not around much mid week. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, heading out for a few drinks and dinner. I'm currently living in Brunswick but want to move East closer to friends. I am social and would like a flatmate who is keen to share a drink at the end of the week, and the occasional dinner. I'm super tidy in communal areas, and very respectful of peoples space.
Kiwi working in the music industry, super easy going. Looking to move northside to be closer to work & the better parts of Melbourne!
I work with all types of video production, which also means travelling a few times a year. Very fond of gardening and cooking. Love to drown myself in books, art, cinema, music...
It's really hard to make these sites not sound like a dating profile on RSVP or similar. I'm Campbell, I work full-time for a professional body for engineers. Originally from New Zealand been living in Sydney for the past four years and have now made the move to Melbourne. I am a pretty friendly and down to earth sort of guy. I am pretty tidy (I think). On weekends I like to hangout with friends or have a drink or two. I like to hit up gastropubs for food with friends but sometimes prefer a weekend with Netflix. I know how to respect other peoples space and like my own downtime. After a furnished room. Looking for great people to live with.
I'm studying film/tv production this year and next year. I work for a videographer, i film feature films, weddings and more. I play guitar, and read books mostly on philosophy and psychology. I'm very disciplined to my passions and habits, but also spontaneous; I love an adventure and trying new and scary things. My worst fear in life is to miss opportunities, and I'm constantly meeting new and interesting people. (P.S. my move date is 15th of Dec but it's flexible, must be before January, and rent must be $100-$200 per week nothing more)
Hi guys. My name is Michal, 26y old from Europe. I work as a bartender/barista in Hawthorn. I'm looking at finding a place either within an existing share house with a spare room or join with someone to find a place in February in Richmond. I'm looking to make wherever I am a home with similar people who are easy going and love to have a laugh! I'm friendly, clean, easy going, love a bit of banter, I'm social however during the week I tend to keep it pretty low key with gym, netflix and of course Bachie nights (until it returns next year now unfortunately). I like to explore on the weekends, hang out with friends, have a few drinks and I don't mind pizza & beer Fridays on the occasion. Anyway swing us a message if you're interested :)

Hey, we're Bec and Claire, and we're looking to rent a place before March. We're both full-time students at La Trobe, and work part-time. Claire works as a swimming coach and is studying nursing, and Bec works with children and is studying psychology. We're laid back, but like to keep things organised and neat. We both enjoy fitness and cooking, and are really keen to have a good relationship with our housemates.
Hi. I'm Alex, systems engineer. I like photography, computers, music. I study Chinese, so if you are Chinese and ready to help - that's double win. I'm looking for long-term rent in yellow train zone. Preferrably East or South-East. Private room, ducted heating and condition is a plus. Internet access is a must - I'm a computer geek, I can't live without it. I'm flexible with dates and if you have any questions - don't hesitate to contact me.
Hey Hows it going? Im Ash, 25 years old, working full at the moment near greensborough as a civil engineer. Working Monday to Friday all day long so potential roomates will have the place to them selves during weekdays. Chilled out guy, absolute neat freak, get along with everyone and always respect people's privacy as I enjoy mine at times.
Hi, my name is Nadhira. I'm from Indonesia and currently I'm holding Temporary Resident Visa for until 2018. I'm working from home as a freelance graphic designer, another job is Audit Assistant (twice or 3 times/week) and work part-time at the restaurant too. I do a lot of design projects so I spend most of my time inside the room(to focus) or outside to meet clients and on the weekends I usually go out with friends to have a drink (but I'd love to stay at home to cook and drink with my housemates too). I don't mind pets or smokers, but I personally don't own any pet overseas. I am a very respectful and responsible person. I don't like to use other people's stuff and I always keep the space clean. I used to live in a share house for 2 years in Sydney so I definitely know how to share :)
