I’m Sam (27) and have just moved over to Melbourne for minimum 3 months potentially longer, with work (usually based in London) and I’m working in the CBD. Currently staying in an air bnb in abbotsford till Tuesday. So can move in pretty quick if that helps. I’m sociable and like to hangout and go to the pub, though I’m more than happy in my own space. I like to stay active and am at the gym 4-5 times a week. I’m clean around the house and I’ve lived in a lot of different house shares in a number of countries before this and would like to think I’d make a good housemate for most people :)
SHORT TERM (8/10 or 14/10 till 10/11) Hi, I'm Aline,21 I'm from Brazil and I came to Australia to improve my English. I've been working and studying all week I consider myself clean and easy going. I like my space and respect the space of others, but I am always available to chat or share a moment.
I currently study at Unimelb/VCA. Looking for a new place and to move out relatively soon. I'm 24, a fairly soical guy, but definitely love my own space. I'm very clean, organised and respectful as a house mate. For the most part I'm pretty focussed on school and am there most of the time, 5 days a week. I also love to cook. Usually on the weekends, if I'm not working. I'll go see theatre, check out a festival or two, or play some tennis, squash or indoor soccer. I like the odd tipsy board game night with housemates and am always down for watching a movie or just chatting. I'm pretty efficient about moving out and have a good rental history. So let me know if you have any questions. Warmest regards Hugo.
I'm Hugh and I work in Education policy for the State Government. I am originally from the Yarra Valley but have been living in and around the CBD for the last few years, looking for a relaxed house but having lived with a partner and by myself in the past I am happy to do my part of household chores, paid shared costs and keep an all round tidy home. Keen for a bit of social time and happy to have a conversation after work or share a meal but also perfectly happy to spend time on my own. Am vegetarian but have lived with people who eat everything and do not mind at all. I'm also LGBTIQ+ friendly.
I'm 32 years old, originally from Adelaide, and work as an engineer in the renewable energy sector. I have a great, stable job in the city, so am looking to stay nearby. My main hobby is painting (digital or oil), so I'm hoping for a place with some space to do this. I am very considerate of my housemates and always keep my place clean. I like to cook too. Hoping to find some housemates that I'll get along with since I don't know that many people here.
Hi there. I work in Fitzroy as a doctor. Looking for a friendly home locally. Up for a chat over a cuppa or wine. Enjoy gigs, having friends over, cooking, being outdoors and active. I'm organised with paying rent, bills, no fuss. I like things clean and relaxed.
Hi! I am Jacqueline! I've recently relocated to Melbourne after living in Newcastle for a full time position at a local university. I am looking to live with other people with a similar Monday-Friday schedule. In my free time I like to get out and explore the city, nature, art and any activities over the weekends. I also like be social, have a laugh and hoping to make some new friends with my roomies but I am also respectful of others time and space. If I sound like the type of roomie your seeking please get in touch!
Hi I'm Lockie, I'm 24 and I work full time as an electrical apprentice based mostly in the city/airport. I work pretty early hours, typically starting around 7am and finishing around 3pm. During the week I typically like to chill at home with the occasional dinner/mid week drinks with friends. I do try and visit the gym enough to justify the cost of it as well so I can be out of the house a bit. Weekends are spent usually out with friends either going to bars or just hanging out. Pet friendly, especially with cats. I consider myself to be a pretty clean person and while my cooking skills are pretty sub par I'm always willing to help in the kitchen where I can and maybe learn a thing or two. I do love music so I'll often be caught with my headphones in or playing tunes through speakers but I do respect noise levels. Always up for listening to new stuff with housemates I'm a good communicator and a strong advocate for dealing with problems like adults before they snowball. I have massive respect for people's privacy and need for their own space but would also love to sit down and chat/hang out with my future room mate/s. I have been known to talk a lot.
ME BRIEFLY... Hi I'm Lane 🤗. And I'm seeking soulful souls for housemates; new friends to live and laugh and love this luxury we call life. I'm open to short-term stays but would love to find a forever home. I'm inclusive, creative, clean, considerate and kind. Oh, and you should know: I'm an alliteration addict too... 😂 --- ME BROADLY... Hi possible-future-housemates, I'm Lane. And I'm looking for a happy, healthy, humble North or Westside home (Carlton, Collingwood, Brunswick, Thornbury, Fitzroy, Footscray, etc.). 🤗🏠 I'm a clean, considerate, creative kind who's also all the friendlies — gender, orientation, environment et. al. I lean left, arty, and non-binararilly. I'm house-proud, house-happy, and open to short-term or long-term options. I'm looking for a warm, welcoming, inclusive, creative, clean, open, and honest home; I co-live well and I respect my own time and space as much I do that of others. I love the usuals — arts, film, photography, music, people — and I'm fond of the ukulele, Rubik's Cube, and learning new things, because, this is how we grow. I'm trying to improve my sign language skills too so if you can help me I'll love you forever. By day I work out of NEST (co-work space) in Thornbury and by night I sometimes do the same! I don't do TV though I love documentaries and film. I'm an environmentally-considerate car owner so parking is a consideration for me, and I have a small social enterprise I'm about to launch so a room with desk-space would be helpful as I sometimes work my night away — if I have to — or even a workspace somewhere else in the house. PERSONAL QUALITIES I'm an open and honest soul and seek the same in those around me. I believe communication is the key because communication is the key, as hard as it can sometimes be... FOOD, SHARING, & FURNITURE I'm an uber-minimalist and I come furniture-free. I'd prefer a furnished bedroom but it's not a deal-breaker. PETS I love animals but don't have any of my own. I steal all my pet pats when I'm out and about and/or running, stopping to pat and meet every four-legged friend I can.
I'm small, sassy and sparkly (that's what my dating profile says, anyway). I work 4 days a week in a government contact centre while completing my Master in Publishing and Communications. I love books! Talk books to me. I have a huge collection that I love to share around with friends and I love anything book-related. I practise yoga at home most days. I've also recently got into running and try to do semi-regular races, with my first 10k coming up in December. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and I really value my health and fitness in general :) I really love dogs, and greyhounds especially - I used to foster for the Greyhound Adoption Program. I'm a big AFL fan (go Cats!) and go to most home games in Geelong with my parents during the season. I love glitter and music festivals and dressing up when I go out to dance. I'm partial to dumplings and red wine, keen to get back into hiking and always have a show on the go on Netflix. I'm really looking for a cosy home with a decent-sized bedroom so I can practise yoga in the mornings. I work in the city and study in Parkville so being central is important to me - I don't have a car so want to be close to a train station ideally. I'm pretty busy and don't spend all that much time at home but when I do I'll probably be in my room or chilling on the couch with a book/Netflix, cooking up something tasty or having a couple of glasses of wine with a friend. I like my home to be a relaxing space. I love to get dressed up, go out and have a crazy time but I don't like to bring the party home with me, so I'm not looking for a party house. I also value my alone time a whole lot and personal space is important to me. I've lived in sharehouses all my adult life so I know the drill. I'm tidy and quite clean, especially if there's some kind of roster in place. I like a clean kitchen and neat communal spaces. I've lived in my current place for 3+ years and I love it but I'm struggling to afford it at the moment so looking for something quite a bit cheaper. Hit me up if you think I'd work for your home!
Super easy going and clean! I love socialising but also like my own space. I currently work as an Aftercare manager for Volkswagen Australia and run my own online store so I'm always busy. I'm all about new adventures and experiences.
Hey guys! I’m Nila, I’m 23 and studying a Master of International Relations at Melbourne Uni, while working part-time at Oxfam Australia in Carlton. When I’m not studying or working I’m mostly out with friends picnicking in Edinburgh Gardens, having a beer at the pub or going to a gig, music festival, or on the odd camping or hiking trip. At home I’m usually watching a good tv show (or trash tv, let’s be honest), reading, cooking or trying to keep my houseplants alive. I’m looking for friendly and down to earth housemates who are open-minded, clean and willing to do their fair share around the house (the usual stuff), respectful of other people’s space and downtime but also keen to have a chat/drink/dinner together every now and then! I’m a huge animal lover and have plenty of experience living in share houses here in Melbourne and overseas. I’m looking to move in around late October, but willing to pay rent from when the room is available. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about me please get in touch!
Hey! Im a 30 year old musician, student, guitar teacher and tradesman studying a Bachelor of Music at Victoria University in Footscray, and also work in the construction industry. Im looking for a chill place with like minded, easy going people to have some creative space and work on my studies. Other musicians would be ideal, but not essential. Always up for a chat, hangs or a jam!
Hi all, the names Scott, I'm 31 from England and loooking for a place from between Elwood to Richmond kind of area. I'm easy to get along with sociable but respect other people's routines and boundaries all the same. I work full time as a landscaper mon-fri and some Saturdays also so you will most likely only see me for an hour or two on an evening as I normally get early nights for work. I'm looking for somewhere for 6 months at the moment as I'm not sure what my plans will be after that time but I'll give you due notice as to my intentions. Anyway if you have any questions or have a place that might suit then send me a message over, cheers for looking have a nice day Scott.
Hey , I’m from Sydney, currently working in Marketing and Events. I’m friendly, clean, easy going and considerate. I live a clean and healthy lifestyle style, I go out with friends to bars and restaurants on the weekends or stay home and watch Netflix. I’m always happy to talk, but also respect space and privacy as I hope for the same. Im looking for a private room , and it would also be great to find a roommate who lives a similar lifestyle and doesn’t party too hard. I’ve been sharing for many years and found good communication to be the key to a functional and happy household😊 If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Thanks !
I'm extremely easy going, open minded and fastidious. So anyone living with me always benefits as I do most of the the cleaning. I respect others needs for private space with occasional socialising. I'm a full time student and artist, so spend most of my time doing assignments or paintings. I'm looking for low maintenance housemates who are also not overly sensitive emotionally. Just want to live in a drama free household. 😊👍 I have a Japanese spitz (small-medium size dog), but can keep her at family if absolutely necessary.I also have some furniture so looking for a place that can accommodate furniture or has storage for furniture until I can figure out what to do with it. I'm looking for home I can be comfortable in, and has a friendly, safe and open environment. This is imperative as I am more of a home body. Respect is also key regarding interaction between housemates as well as respect for belongings. I would like a bedroom door that is lockable and would prefer to live in a house, but open to apartment only if there is a balcony with view or a courtyard as apartments can get claustrophobic. 😜☺️
I'm a self-employed photographer, which means I work from home or a cafe quite a lot. I'm currently living at home in Northcote, but I'm looking for a place to make my own, with like-minded others that I can come home and have a G&T with and brainstorm/vent about business and life. Things you should know: Strong latte no sugar - a real no bullshit coffee order I'm one of those guys with the modified cars - don't hold it against me I don't go out much to party these days, but when I do I usually end up significantly drunker than I think I am I have a lot of shit; Camera equipment and the likes, so I'm chasing a big space I love playing music out loud - mainly house and disco, during the day as I work. Not a shit bloke - at least that's what Mum tells me
My name is Alex. I’m an art therapist/Artist from Sydney, but have lived in a Melbourne for 6 years. I work as an art therapist and support worker. I also work casually at T2 (the tea store) so I have LOTS of tea for my new home. I enjoy keeping active and spending time with mates on the weekends, but would also love a place where I can occasionally share meals and have chats with my housemates. I love going to try new cafes or restaurants in melb, and I’m always up for going to see some live music. I’m clean and respect my sharehomes and communicate well with my housemates. Would love to contribute to making a nice home, rather than just a place to sleep!
I am a 24 year old male, and I am hoping to find a residence to move into that can accommodate my budget and lifestyle. I am currently working a couple of casual jobs while looking into studying a diploma of the music industry in the next month or so. I love music, movies and relaxing with friends. I'm great at keeping tidy, always well mannered and respectful, and easy going. I live for coffee (I think coffee keeps me alive) and love dogs.
Hello! I'm Flo, from Scotland and Michael is from Perth, W.A. We are looking for a fun and friendly new share house. We are vegan, ethically minded folk who have 3 adorable pet rats so our new home must be rattie friendly. We're happy, mindful, laid back, respectful people. Home is important to us and we are looking for a place to be proud of. Both of us have had plenty share-housing experience and understand the necessities of being a topnotch housemate. We love cleaning, sometimes we play rock paper scissors to see who gets to do the dishes, really. Also we are pretty dedicated dumpster dive masters so there's often plenty of savaged food up for grabs! I really like plants, gardening, music, and a good old chill sesh, Michael is a keen photographer, cyclist and d.i.y'er. Both of us enjoy cooking and spend a fair bit of time creating taste sensations in the kitchen, totally up for sharing meals now and again. We both work full time day jobs and enjoy getting out amongst nature for camping trips when we can. Feel free to send me a message if you would like to know anything more.
