I'm Sally - I'm 32 and have a lovely greyhound named Hamish. Our hearts belong northside, so we're journeying back from the dark side of the river to find an abode in Abbotsford/Collingwood or nearby. In my spare time I writing/produce music (in the cinematic/electronic vein). I appreciate the arts, meditation, dance, yoga, psychology, philosophy, hiking/crawling. Basically, talk to me about anything - I'm likely to be interested in it! I work as a lawyer. Hamish the greyhound is currently unemployed though you might be able to engage him as a newspaper boy if you have chicken treats. I'm flexible with length of stay as I have an option to move into our 'forever home' in about 3 months. Otherwise, happy to stay for a longer or shorter period depending on the place.
I'm Tom. I'll be looking for a new place to call home in the coming months and keen to find some likeminded cats with whom I can happily co-habit. THE HOME & VIBE: I'm searching for an established home--not a house--where my housemates are kind, respectful, fun and treat each other a bit like a lil' family. Not like a weird, co-dependent cult or anything because we all have own shit going on, but we take an interest in eachother's lives and care. I'd love to live with people who are clear communicators and want to actively contribute to a supportive, clean, calm, healthy, happy and beautiful home environment :) Two or three other housemates with similar wrinkles/receding hairline (i.e. age) of 25-35 years old who are settled, and on a lease with a long-term mindset would be ideal. Home is more of a sanctuary for me: it's lowkey and homely with adult furniture (i.e. slightly more curated than a random couch found on hard rubbish day. Though don't get me wrong, I do love a good hard-rubbish find); home has a communal atmosphere, where we can watch The Bachelor and complain how sad the show is but secretly enjoy it at the same time (the many house plants can also watch and enjoy with us). Maybe my new housemates could help me hunt down the best parma spots in Melbourne. Admittedly, I think I've already found the best (The Birmy in Collingwood), but I'm open to be challenged. I'd love to be part of a more environmentally conscious home. I don't know all the dos and don'ts, but I'm sad when I see disposable coffee cups and plastic bags being used and keen to do more at home if the house environment permits/is about that life. ABOUT ME: I'm 27 going on 65—my spirit age—and originally from Tassie (i.e. generally nice, like to bushwalk, want a Suburu Outback, two heads… you know the drill). I moved here 4-5 years ago so I like to think I have enough 'Melbourne points' to now be qualified as a fully-fledged Melbourne person. As such, I Iove a good brunch and trying out new courses to learn things like pottery, as everyone my age in Fitzroy has probably already done. I.e. Up with the trends. I work full-time in marketing at realestate.com.au and keep very busy with that and other adventures. My mantra: Sky's out, thighs out: Love the sun (lizard is my spirit animal), always wearing shorts and like to be in the sun doing whatever: biking, napping or sipping on multiple, back-to-back cups of tea (can never have enough) while pretending to read my book or chatting to whoever's around. Fast facts: Apparently I'm a tad awkward but in a good way (I take it as a compliment?). I'm gay, not that it matters but just FYI in case that bothers you, and also because I want to be around friendly people with generally progressive attitudes. As evidenced in the previous sentence, I'm not afraid of the Oxford comma. One day (in the far future when I'm ready) I want to get an Italian Greyhound. Recent Netflix binges: Chernobyl, Schitt's Creek, Special, The Good Wife, Terrace House. LOCATION & PROPERTY TYPE: I’m searching in Clifton Hill, Cremorne, Abbotsford, Richmond or Fitzroy because I work in Richmond, bike my way around (or PTV when desperate enough) and I prefer the north/east vibe. Ever since I left home 7 years ago, I've lived in apartments and this time around, I want to live in a house again... with a yard and all those simple pleasures in life I took for granted growing up :)
Hiya! We're Nadine (25) and Sofia (26) a Scottish/English Colombian couple looking for a (furnished) room! We've been living in Melbourne since February after travelling around South East Asia for the past eleven months and are planning to stay here for another 6-8 months. We both work in hospitality, Sofia in a restaurant in Carlton and me in a bar in the CBD so we'd love to find someone who's not strictly 9-5 Monday to Friday. A bit more about us, we both love hiking and the outdoors, going to drag shows, and trying new craft beers during happy hour. I also love scuba diving and love a good cooking show while Sofia likes to occasionally convince me to go play basketball. We are both vegetarian so would love a meat-free house, but this is not essential. We're both very tidy and respectful, and although we sometimes love having our own time together we are very much looking forward to finding a sharehouse rather than just a room to rent. If you like the sound of us we'd love to hear from you! :)
My name’s Tasha (she/her). I’m 27 years old and I’m looking for a room in a sharehouse with nice, cosy, homey vibe. I’m moving down to Melbourne from Sydney around the 20th of August to work full-time at a tech PR agency. I would say I’m an ambivert (E/INFP) who loves reading, cooking, doing yoga, art, film and the ballet. I also dabble in stick n pokes / am learning how to use a machine so can tattoo you if the desire ever came up – a fun bonus! My dream housemates will be down to hang together but just as happy if I’m having a quiet recharge week in my room, welcoming to my friends (the pool is v limited atm so there won’t be any parties dw!) and warm, kind and down to share! Working full-time so I’m looking for a place that’s more a home than a party house. As a housemate, I'm clean, considerate, empathetic and ~v chill~. I’m super social-justice forward and hope that my future housemates are too - i.e. LGBTQIA+ friendly, sex worker friendly, 420 friendly, sex positive and generally open-minded. 🙂
Hey potential housemates 🌞 I’m a friendly creative soul looking for a homely home. I don’t really mind what suburb it is in as long at its north side, under $180 per week and less than a 40 minute commute to Melbourne uni by public transport :) I will always chip in with housework, pay bills on time and respect personal space 🌈 I’m also very left wing so it would be nice to move into a house with like minded individuals . If I sound like the right gal for you hit me up ☺️ Lots of love Momo xxx
I am a 32 year old British woman who has lived in Melbourne for the last ten years (yes, I still have my accent!). I grew up in Asia and the Middle East and I am very well travelled. I'm university educated with a Masters degree in psychology and sociology. I'm optimistic, sarcastic and generally quite easy going although I have been known to be prone to bouts of road rage. I'm very accepting of other people and try not to pass judgment on anyone. To me, kindness is paramount when looking for qualities in others. I don't like people who purposely set out to hurt others whether it's emotionally or physically. I'm very open and incredibly honest. I would rather tell you an awkward truth than an easy lie. I tend to keep myself to myself. Happy to interact with other housemates etc but also respect other people's space and privacy. I would probably have a friend over from time to time but definitely no big groups or loud parties. Not overly fussed if that's what you get up to on weekends - I'm fairly relaxed. I work nights so will most likely not be home when you are (or asleep when you're awake!). I'm a little messy but very clean. I actually used to run a little cleaning business so would be more than happy to keep on top of things for everyone at the apartment and provide a professional clean on a weekly or fortnightly basis for a slight reduction in rent if you would be open to that. Olive my cat is super friendly and very affectionate. She's ten years old now but acts a lot younger. She's quite talkative (for a cat haha). Doesn't claw or bite and spends most of her time sleeping in the sunshine on a windowsill.
Very social guy, neat and tidy, happy to hang out but also to keep up some personal space, currently studying my undergrad in nursing and working in aged care. I'm looking for a place to live preferably near public transport and hopefully with a room large enough to fit a desk, and also queer friendly, more than happy to pull my weight around the house and also to lend a helping hand when possible!
Hello beautiful people:) After quitting my job and travelling for 15 months through latin america and asia i am kind of ready to settle down again for a while and Australia seems to be the perfect place for it. So far i have a working holiday visa but i am looking for a full time job as a social worker (thats what my profession is). I lived in shared flats before and for me personally it can be such a great experiences. I love and appreciate a good atmosphere, time to cook or share a glas of wine or just have good conversations. I would discribe myself as a social, open person who is always up for some fun but I also need time for myself. I did my Yoga Teacher Training in India so free classes are guaranteed ;) A furnished room would be the optimum for me, as i am not bringing any with me but its not a must. All i am looking for basically is a room and flatsmates who appreciate a good relationship and atmosphere as much as i do:)
I’m a brazilian exchange student. I am currently studying academic english to futurely graduate in fashion marketing. I have been living in Melbourne for two years already and I’m looking for friendly and clean flat mates. I’m also very clean and organized and easy to get along with. I love going out for drinks and chat.
Hi I'm Seamus! I'm a communications professional in the video game industry, originally from rural South Australia but have lived and worked across Australia and New Zealand over the past couple of years. I'll be in Melbourne for 3 months from the start of August through to at least the end of October, as I'll be in town for work! I'm a big gamer, will often be in my room late playing games online with friends or in bed on weekend mornings playing my Switch. I love movies and often go weekly to a cinema see something new, but also enjoy binge-ing a new show on Netflix at home on the couch. I'm a pretty easy going person, who cleans up after myself around the house and after cooking. I'll often be out going for walks, to the gym, on hikes or catching up with friends. Looking forward to meeting you and if you have any questions please just let me know! :)
