I am studying Masters and I am working almost all time so I usually don't spend a lot of time at home. I am a quiet person, I like running and also I love to do yoga.
Hi there, I am a non-binary person (nice try Flatmates.com) working full time at a cafe in Carlton and studying Steiner Early Childhood. My partner Luke comes to Melbourne Early March and we are looking for a home to live in. We are interested in living in a lovely share house, granny flat or a lease transfer. We are also happy to consider short term accommodation.
Hello I've just moved back to Melbourne after five years in Brisbane. I am an engineer who works in the renewable energy sector. Looking for a house within cycling distance of the city. I'm pretty active with cycling and bushwalking plus I play the cello (mainly folk and irish music). I enjoy cooking for ever happen is to be home. Looking for a friendly house. Cheers, Tim
Hi there, with many years of sharehouse experience I can gel with people of all walks of life. I am a hard worker that loves a clean house. I am exceptionally reliable with paying my share. I love to cook, I love to paint, I am a drummer with passion (but won't play in the house). I love travel and photography. I am quite social but also like my time to myself.
Hey guys, I'm Mitchell. I've lived in a rural town my whole life so I'm long overdue for a change of scenery. I won't be moving until mid to late June, but its better to be organised. I consider myself to be a pretty nice guy, I value my friends and I'm happy to go out of my way to help somebody out (if you're upset, I'll probably just quote Simpsons until you smile). When I move I will be studying Animation, so between that and working I won't be in the house all that often. When I am at home you will find me reading a book, gaming, cruising through netflix, or listening to podcasts. I consider myself to be a pop culture fiend, so if you like Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, or anything inbetween throw me a bone. I like to keep quite active and I regularly go to the gym. I do play around with the guitar a little bit aswell, so if you are a muso and want to jam that would be lovely too. Ideally, I would love to live with 2 or 3 other people to expand my social circle (I'm leaving all my friends behind ):) If you think I'll fall in with your bunch, please consider me.
Hi future flatmate :-) I'm Caroline and I just moved here to do an exchange programme at Deakin on my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At home I live in a student dorm and I'm used to share my kitchen with 15 others. I'm very open minded, easygoing and social. And I'm reliable and pay my lease and bills on time! I used to work as a yoga teacher at home - and when I'm not doing yoga I'll be outside enjoying nature.... oooor I'll be going out for drinks, beers and tequila! I'm not good at cooking but I'm an excellent kitchen assistant and I love all kinds of food and good coffee. SO you need to choose me as your flatmate if you want a nurse (to be) under your roof who can also teach you some yoga! I've only heard good thing about Melbourne and I'm really looking forward to exploring the city and the areas around (with you guys!)
Hi! Im a super easy going, friendly, alround excellent flatmate. I'm a 27 yr old kiwi, and work as a fashion retail manager, the company has just transferred me to Melbourne (yay!). I'll be working mostly weekdays and some weekends too. The store is out of town, so I need to live near some bus routes, preferably the 709, but I'm a city kid, so I'm very keen to live centrally for some work life balance. I have years of flatting experience so Im tidy/clean and respectful and have made great friends over the years, so really value having a great flat vibe. After work im usually pretty tired, so food and great chat or netflix is the usual, but in the weekends I enjoy going out for coffee, seeing cool things and being a tourist. Im both happy doing my own thing or having cool flat activities, whatever suits. Get in touch if you think you have just spot for me! 😊
I've just moved down from Brisbane, and am looking for a fab house/apartment to move into with some chill people. I'd like somewhere sooner rather than later, but am pretty flexible with moving dates. I'm looking for somewhere I can call home. I'm not home very much as I like to keep myself busy, but when I am I like to enjoy my space and keep things tidy and clean. I'm not too fussed on anything else. At the moment I'm just going to be working in hospitality, but will begin studying fashion merchandising at RMIT mid year. i have a collection of plants which are basically my babies and have come down from bris with me. I've also managed to keep them alive for some time, so that's an achievement. I can try at keeping a veggie garden alive, but I can't promise anything. Other than that I like to create, make, photograph things when I find the time. I like having a good time and go out and socialise with friends at bars etc. a bit. I'm usually quiet coming home though and don't ever bring the party back to the house. I do also enjoy going to festivals and try to go to gigs when I'm not working. Im all about good times and chill vibes so I'm not too keen on unnecessary drama or negativity. I'll give you your space if you want it, but I will also be there to chat/throw banter/chill with. So if you're cool with that then hmu pls xox
Currently living near the city in a sharehouse - all in our mid 20s. Our landlord is selling the place soon though, so I'm looking for a new place to live! Looking to move late March or early April. About me: Snowboarder/skier/lawyer/craft beer enthusiast - there are many words that I could use to tell you about myself, but those are the ones that spring to mind first! I'm a lawyer working in the CBD full time. In my free time I enjoy outdoor sports - I spend a lot of my weekends at the snow during winter. This summer I've been hiking and camping often. I'm a clean, tidy person who is pretty easy to live with. Getting along with my housemates is very important to me - while we don't have to be best friends, I don't want to feel like we're merely people co-occupying the same place! Fun tidbit about myself - after I finished uni and before I started full time work, I went travelling in the US for 4 months. I travelled around the western states skiing and snowboarding - I made it to 30 ski resorts while I was there! I gained a lot of life experience on this trip and learned a lot about myself.
I've just moved to Melbourne to start my postgrad in Environment at the University of Melbourne. I loooove this place and am so happy to be here! I am spiritual, clean and tidy, an artist and designer, I like to socialise but also dedicate my time to reading, learning and creating. I make socks and I care for the environment :::) Preferred length of stay ~6 months or 1+ year~
Hey! I'm Andrew, just moved to Melbourne for university at La trobe, studying business. Love a laugh and being social over a drink or two, or going out once in a while for a night on the town. At the same time i enjoy having me time and just having a night watching netflix in my pjs with a block of chocolate. If you would like to know anymore just let me know. Open for a longer stay also :)
I'm Bec and I'm a full-time nurse looking for a new place to live that's semi close to the city. I am a shift worker so living with other people who are similar workers would be ideal. I'm laid back but also tidy and clean. Love to go out for brunch! Currently living in Northcote and would love to stay in the same area (north).
Hi I'm Beth! About me... Just moving to Melbourne from WA on the 12th of March. I am 21 and have just finished my degree in Sound Engineering. Looking for work in Melbourne. I am super easy going, mature, clean, and nice to be around which makes me the ultimate house mate. I dabble in some guitar playing, love being fit and healthy and will basically go along/enjoy most things. I do like my own space, but love a chat at the end of the day, a glass of wine and some quality banter over terrible tv. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi I'm irene, Italian 21 yo student full time at Melb uni (science), worker part time, foodie, dog lover, couch potato -I read a lot- good listener. Looking for a place to move asap near Melbourne university possibly! Cheers
Aswell as being a student, I am also a Personal Trainer and a Triathlete. I love to be active. I also like to chill. I am not the best chef, but I love to cook whenever I have chance. I am looking for a place to arrive and live while I study a Master in Counselling.
I am originally from Indonesia, grew up in Singapore. Came to Melbourne in '08. I am currently a working professional. I have been living like this for the past 9 years I have been in Melbourne, so I'm telling you how it's going to be like living with me: I clean, am tidy, and organised; I light clean the house every weekend, spring clean every month. I do my laundry twice a month, I don't take long showers. I leave the house by 7:30 am, and get home at around 7:00 pm. This means i keep water and electricity bill low. I expect the same from my housemate(s). I pay on time so you'll never have to chase me for rent/bills money. I rarely cook, so it'll be good if you do. The general rule of thumb is that whoever cooks, the other cleans up. simple manners. I smoke in the balcony, but never in the house. On weekends, I like to just binge on Netflix, and order in. I'm boring like that.
I'm laid back and easy to get along with, clean and tidy. Spend most my free time being a nerd.
We are laura lopez ( 23 years) and my spouse Jean sebastien delforge (26 years) we just arrived in Melbourne and we are looking for a flat we are here for a working holidays visa. I have finished my study in law in France, so would like discovery the new horizons and i think melbourne it's fantastic for that we don't have work for the moment but we can pay the rental with our economies we are free for the inspection all the week so send me a email or call me if you need some documents thanks
Hi there! I am an ex-uni student who has decided to try her luck at full time in Melbourne rather than sit in classes all day. I just need a place to stay for several months while I find a more permanent apartment. I don't smoke or use any recreational drugs but I don't mind if you do. I also love animals so if you have pets its not a problem. I am a keen film photographer and branding designer and tend to work late into the night, so a private studio apartment is ideal so I will not keep anyone awake all night! Can't wait to hear about any available opportunities!
Hi potential flatmates! I'm looking to move into the city ASAP! I am a tidy, chilled out kinda gal. I'm sociable so I love to go out and have adventures and enjoy Melbournes night life but home is my sanctuary - I'm not the type to throw parties at home.
Hey I'm Kylie! I'm 29 and have just returned from living in London for two years! I love to travel, catch up with friends and family, shop, eat brunch and enjoy long walks and Pilates. I work in retail. I'm a down to earth Aussie girl who loves to have a chat!!
I work full time at Melbourne uni (and study part time there too). I can be bubbly and social, but not in an annoying overbearing way and know when to give people their space. I'm respectful and quiet, chill and I reckon I'm pretty easy to get along with. I like getting hooked on a great TV series or curling up with my kindle to read for an hour or three. When semester starts it's just academic articles and assignments though. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi there! I'm Saskia, I work full time as a graduate Interior Architect. I'm a pretty down to earth relaxed type. Due to full time work, I'm usually out of the house during the week, but if I'm around in the evenings I'm up for the occasional meal and chat. On the weekends I tend to catch up with friends, go away for short weekend trips down to the Otways or visit family. Here's a little more of what I'm into! - A good haul of organic veggies - Hiking - Not a massive party girl, but enjoy good company over a beer - Comedy Central - Dogs - A good read If you have any other questions let me know :)
Hi, we are an Indian couple, looking for a quiet place to call home in Reservoir or Preston closer to train station preferably. I'm a student working part-time and my husband works full-time. We are friendly and easy to get along with. We like to maintain cleanliness wherever we live. We are usually busy working or studying. Buzz me anytime for further details and if you think we are the right match for you.
Heya. I'm a student-turning-yuppie looking for a year long roomshare or more. I'm finishing my degree in IT and work part-time in an experience design startup. We do cool stuff with the Internet of Things (think smarthomes and fridges that talk to you). I'm more of a designer than computer nerd though. I like plants, film, and cycling. Selling points for me as a roomie? As much as it pains me to type this, in my last sharehouse, I was the one that generally did the dishes. NOTE: DO NOT EXPLOIT (please) I like scrounging up my own furniture if you don't have any - not fussy with this kinda thing. Pet project in the works: design and build some origami cardboard furniture (only if need be!) Like this guy: http://foldtheory.com/ Also, I have a projector which I'm happy to share. Sup?
Friendly, easy going guy from England who is looking to join a fun, outgoing house. Happy to kick back with a few beers, but also respect people's privacy. Play soccer and tennis at Melbourne Uni, and enjoy jamming on the guitar and piano.
Hospitality worker/ Musician. Respectful, clean, loves to cook, loves to socialise and have a quiet time. Super friendly... From Morocco but PR in Australia.
Hey guys my name is Toby and I've just moved to Melbourne from Perth (yes another one..) to start my PhD at UoM in communications so looking for long term accommodation while I complete my studies. I'm a pretty easy going guy to live with although I do prefer tidiness within reason and a social household, I'm always down for a hangout/chat! In my spare time I like to stay active (running/gym), enjoy reading/writing, netflixing and social drinks. Looking to move in somewhere as soon as possible :)
Hi, I'm Quentin, 23 years old from France. I arrived in Melbourne on Monday night and I just started an internship to validate my Master's degree at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research near the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I am looking for an accommodation available ASAP for a period of 6-7 months. I am paid and I also received a French scholarship for my internship, so I will have no problem paying my rent on time. Since my 18 years I do house/flatsharing, so I am more than accustomed. During this period, I crossed many people from different countries not any Australian yet ! Sociable by nature, I know how to adapt to the characters of my roommates, I do my share of household tasks and I am a real cordon bleu ! Even if we separate our food, I often cook or do pastries to pass the time. You could have your share ! I will also be delighted to start a discussion about a beer or a glass of wine either outside or at home. I think I'm never short of discussion, this is surely my French side! Cheers, Quentin.
Hi i'm currently looking to move into a place with someone or happy to team up with someone. I'm neat and tidy and a non smoker. I'm social but also like my own time. Looking for a place preferably furnished with my own bathroom :)
hi im 29 yo part time student and work full time as a chef My free time usually goes to catching up with friends, bars ,restaurants, movies or just some quiet time. Looking for an easy-going environment, with people who do like to make a house a home and have nice conversations over a glass of wine or share dinners every so often ., but also respect that people have their own lives to live and considerate to others personal space
We are looking for a quite place to live part of the week. My son is enrolled with a soccer school and we have a farm in Tatura but this is his opportunity to get great soccer coaching . We would be at the residence part time as we are splitting the family so that my son can get his opportunity.
Moving to Melbourne from Canberra in the next two weeks for a career change. Full time professional working in the CBD. Would love to find a place as close to the CBD within my price range as possible. Am easy going, fairly quiet but also enjoy conversation over dinner. Ideally looking for two bedroom two bathroom apartment share.
I'm from the UK and have been travelling in Australia on a working holiday visa since January. I'm now looking to work in Melbourne for 2-4 months. My field of work is in education administration and I am looking to get an administration job in Melbourne. My main interests are sport, in particular tennis, and going to see live music. I'd describe myself as a very tidy and laid back person and I'm looking to find a nice private room somewhere fairly central in Melbourne.
I am 26 years old. Working full time as a Graphic Designer. Have done the whole share house thing before so I know how this all works. I can move in straight away. I am super tidy and clean up after myself. I am social and love a good beer or ten and am a pretty easy going kind of person.
A young guy who ran off to Melbourne on a gap year. Just trying to find a relaxed, social house to explore the city from and meet some awesome people. About myself, originally from New Zealand but grew up in 3 different countries. I sketch, cook and write as hobbies, enjoy a good gig and night out, but also appreciate some quiet times in the house. Oh, and I don't have a phone right now, so either email or message me.Thanks
Hi guys! My name’s Amanda and I’m transferring to the University of Melbourne to complete a bachelors in Media & Communications. I used to study in Montreal, Canada, and before that, grew up in Washington, DC., USA. I'm looking for a place in North Melbourne or close to the CBD. I've lived in a couple places already and have been always good with paying rent/bills on time. I’m 20 years old, and would like roommates around their early-to-mid 20’s. My maximum is around $250 p/w, some more if I really love the place. My interests include social justice, high fashion, foreign film, and all kinds of music. I'm extroverted and not much of a homebody, so I'm usually out of the house. I love going to art showcases and night clubs. I'm a really sociable person who talks quite a bit, but also good with understanding personal space.
I am a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam who quit his job after working 8 years full time as a young professional in Telecommunications. I did this because I realized my current life situation was not going to make me happy in the end. I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. That's why I'm looking for a place to call home for a longer period. I'm also looking for work so I probably will be working full time or at least as much as possible. People appreciate me because of my positive, outgoing and happy attitude. I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. I don't take life too seriously, I just try to make the best out of every moment. I'm sociable, reliable, friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beers and I am a music lover in general (would love to learn to play any instrument!). Other things I appreciate: food & cooking, traveling, sustainable living, serious conversations, coffee, yoga, spirituality and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy place with a 'small-community' feeling to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor or surrounding area's. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you are looking for an awesome housemate, don't hesitate to contact me right away so we could arrange a chat in real life soon (that probably gives a way better impression of myself then this story)
I am a student at Unimelb, major in Linguistics and Philosophy. I am usually very busy with my assignments but I still try my best to have some fun hahaha and I'd love to chat with my roommates : ) A little more about me : ) • vegetarian • don't drink / smoke (but I'm ok with it even if you do) • I enjoy cleaning👻 • Maximum 6 months (going on an exchange from September) Move date : before March/10 Looking forward to hearing from you so we can organise a time☺️
I'm a 18 years old French girl, currently on a working holiday visa. I know that 18 seems young but I'm often told that I'm more mature than people that are my age. I've just left highschool last July and I wanted to take a gap year in order to travel so I can get to know more about myself, get out of my comfort zone and to grow up. I'm actually working as a fundraiser, from 7am to 6pm generally. I only work on week days and during the weekends I either rest or go out with friends. I would describe myself as someone extremely respectful and open minded. I'm also such a friendly and kind person, and I'm very clean and tidy. My main hobbies are photography, art and travelling. I also love to cook but unfortunately I don't have free time and the energy anymore to cook because my job makes my exhausted. However I'm always up for a chat with my housemates, I'm very easy going.
Looking to move ASAP! Heeyy my name is Melissa, 21, English but has lived in Australia half of my life. Been living in Noosa Queensland but looking for a new experience in the city! Very down to earth and friendly, I'm very adaptable and get along with everyone! Im pretty social and love to have drink dates and lunch dates, or going out to gigs. Enjoy my own alone time too to and I've been told im the easiest person to live with hahah. Love nothing more than chilling and listening to good music with even better people. Im very clean and I love beach chills and cooking; Will happily make dinner for my housemates a couple of nights a week if you're into that ha. Been working in hospitality in Noosa for a few years now and I will be doing similar work in Melbourne.
Hi, my name is Jay. I currently reside in Canberra but I am hoping to make the move to Melbourne in the coming months. A bit about myself: 28, single. I am a great person to share with! This is because I've house shared before and I've been through the usual trials and tribulations that present themselves in all house sharing situations. With that experience, I have come out on the other side unscathed and with a respect for others and their personal space. I work full-time Mon - Fri and usually spend my weekends exploring, attempting to get fit at the gym, countering the gym with greasy takeaway food, naps, PlayStation and bar and event hopping in hopes of meeting new and interesting people. What I am looking for: I am looking for a private room in a share house with 1 to 2 other housemates. However, if you would like to consider me for a team-up I'm open to that! I am hoping to find others who are respectful, clean and great to live with. Age, sexual orientation, gender and the like are no concerns for me. Just be yourself and we will probably get along! So with that said if you are seeking somebody who pays their share of the rent and bills on time, who isn't argumentive and loves escalating a joke beyond its limits then I'm your guy!
Nina & Kate met in Guatemala back in November and were planning to conquer this exotic side of the world anyway, so re-joined forces a few weeks ago and decided they wanted to try the Melbourne thing for a bit (while it's still hot-ish!) Nina is a plant lover, chef & yogini from The Netherlands, but has spent the last 8 years living in the UK/London. She has spent much time bouncing around different countries, but always returning to London; not any more, as she got rid of all her belongings and headed for South America last October, trying all the food and documenting everything through photos and writing. Kate is an aspiring writer, 40s fiend & rap lover from Toronto and has previously lived in Australia, but wants to live out her dream of working in a bookshop as a temporary (possibly permanent!) Melbournite. She also needed that extra push and sold all her beloved furniture to journey in to the unknown. Both ladies agree that - No plan is the best plan Wine is always an option Whatever you manifest internally is exuded externally Ned Kelly was a babe & both aren't a huge fan of - Techno Eating badly Self absorbed humans Negative vibes

My name is Ben Gunn and I am a 22 y/o recent graduate from the University of Canterbury in NZ. I'm moving to Melbourne on March 8 for a change of scenery, work and to meet new people. I have been flatting for the past 4 years while at uni so I know how to keep a place spotless, respect other peoples boundaries, while also having a good time! I love sports (rugby, cricket, basketball etc) and play a bit of cricket and basketball when possible. I do a bit of gaming on ps4, but don't spend countless hours on it! I enjoy a beer or six every now and then, and always like exploring new places. I am also into learning about the world around me, as I think it is important in today's day and age to have an open mind! You will have to excuse my facebook link, I was using my girlfriends computer and it linked her profile, not mine sorry!
Hi! I'm Mia, 32; work in publishing and a fiction writer on the side. I'm a fairly relaxed and open individual who's had lots of offbeat experiences in my life!!! These days I've settled down a whole heap and work full time — a whole new adventure in itself for me....I'd describe myself as an sensitive and outgoing introvert. The things I love are books, wine, writing, small gatherings, D and Ms, talking about the human condition and having a good laugh about the absurdity of it all. I'm a complex cat and love ppl who are the same. Speaking of cats...I have a 2 1/2 year old handsome brown point Tonkinese who is extremely affectionate and people loving. He is odourless, doesn't shed, friendly, playful, cheeky, super sleek and sexy and tends to win over even the most extreme dog-lovers. See pic. I'm looking for a clean and quiet place somewhere northside with one or two others. I love having people around and can't really imagine living alone; that said I have my quiet moments. I like to find a a balance between the two. My party days have come and gone, although once in a blue moon I still like to let it rip. You'll likely find me in bed reading during the week by about 9.30, 10... out 2-3 nights during the week but not usually late; I need my eight hours. Weekends I'm usually out one night and watching movies and being lazy the other. I do have a boyfriend currently and stay at his house a couple nights a week, so would not be around every night. Though I am not looking for somewhere I can just come, dump and run... I'm looking for a home. I'm clean, respectful of other people's space and communicative. Happy to come round for a wine or a coffee and chats to see if we mesh :)
I am French and 30 years old, clean and tidy. I like to practice meditation, enjoying finer things of life, having a glass of wine... and sharing my favorite chocolate cake! I like to have a balance between my own space and sharing sometimes diner. I play guitar and like reading and photography. I would love to have a sewing machine at home! I am very open-minded and flexible and like to meet new people.
Hi there! I'm Rieneke, dutch girl from Amsterdam who just moved here for a PhD at the University of Melbourne, so I'm looking for a nice place to live in Melbourne! About me..I studied geology in Amsterdam and Innsbruck (Austria), now ready to start a PhD in climate research, which luckily enough it became a passion. I also love outdoor, music, salsa dancing, reading, dogs, photography and of course the social stuff. Love to cook, also for roommates. ;) I'm looking for a roommate (or two or three) to share a place with, I'm also open to teamups. I'm easygoing, in for a chat or a drink, I'm clean (although there's nothing wrong with a stain of life happening) and I pay my bills. ;) Cheers, Rieneke
Friendly, cheerful guy who is respectful of people's privacy and will contribute to the house. Studying for a year at Melbourne University. I'm happy to kick back with a few beers on weekends, I play tennis and soccer at uni, and enjoy jamming on the guitar and piano.
Hello. I am currently living in a shared household but the lease is finishing and flat mate's moving on. I am a manager in corporate catering, working long hours during weekdays. I occasionally work on weekend but when not working I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, movie or hanging out with friends. I wish to live in a friendly and peaceful environment with sharemate. I am easy going, have love for eminals ( sorry but no raptiles or insect ), happy to have a drink and a chat. I would like to live in a clean and tidy home and share with somebody who is mature and offers mutual respect. Thanks and look forward to meeting you.
Hello! my name is Neneh (pronounced Nina), I am 21 years young and currently studying engineering/science at RMIT. Looking for somewhere to live up to $200 p/w. Would love to live with female similar age, however I am open to anything! I am a neat and tidy person currently living with my bf and just looking to move out and have some of my own space.
