Moving up from Melbourne to start full time work. Looking for a nice place to live in Canberra, ideally with other like-minded people. Easy going, social, and a non-smoker. Interested in sports, especially rowing, skiing and rugby, and always keen for a chat. Feel free to drop me a line if you think we'd get on. Cheers!
I am starting a Masters in Economics at ANU from 20 February, and am looking to relocate from Sydney to Canberra in the next few weeks. A bit about me: I am 23 and easy going, looking to move in with likeminded people. I have been sharing with my housemates in Sydney since March last year, so am well versed in the art of share housing. I know when to keep to myself, but also happy to share the occasional dinner/drinks. I clean up after myself always, and contribute to the household regularly. I am easy going, and will be working part time and studying the rest of the time. I enjoy cooking and make a great cup of tea.
Hi! I'm Kat and i'm looking for a place to live in Canberra in February 2017. I'm moving down from Queensland for a graduate role and am hoping to live close-ish to the city with a few other people (male or female). I will be staying in accom provided by my department from Feb 4th - 21st and will be looking for a place during that time if you'd like to meet in person. I'm easygoing and a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who likes to socialise, but I also like my alone time and respect others need for privacy. I am clean and tidy (but not too obsessive about it) and love to cook! In my downtime I like to work out and explore new places. Ideally would like to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate, but also a friend - the kinda people down for Mexican Mondays, GoT sessions and a drink and a chat on the weekends :)
I'm in my 30s, so I've lived in my share of sharehouses to know what works and what doesn't. I'm a librarian, so I'm good at keeping everything tidy and in the right place. I'm pretty good for a chat and a cup of tea in the living room, and prefer to live with those who are similarly inclined. I also have my own creative interests, and like to stay active with swing dancing, cycling, and the occasional hiking trip.
Hey everyone I'm Sunil and I am due to start work as a public servant in the beginning of February in Canberra. I'll be relocating from Perth and am looking for a place to stay in as soon as possible. I don't have any specific preferences when it comes to housemates and open to stay with anyone. A little bit about me, I enjoy watching and playing sports including tennis, soccer and cricket and up for a jog or a gym session throughout the week. I am working towards being an okay cook (currently a little hit and miss with my cooking) and am willing to do the occasional cook off with my future flatmates. Apart from sports and cooking, I am a bit of a book worm, enjoy playing board games as well as watching TV shows and movies on Netflix and I do the occasional binge watch when I have the time. I am clean and organised and am very considerate to privacy and downtime when needed. I don't consider myself an extrovert but nonetheless like to socalise and spend time with friends rather than spending all my time at home. Lastly I would like to have the occasional dinner and drink with future housemates and I would love to be friends rather than just another person living on the premises. Hope to meet some of you soon!
Hello! 24yo here about to move down from Sydney to start a role in the public service. While not really into partying til late, I love meeting new friends and will gladly have some fun over food, drinks, board games n movies. Most often found chilling on the PC/laptop and listening to music (got headphones to keep the noise covered if that's a concern). It's my first time moving interstate but i've previously lived a year in Japan. I respect people's space/privacy and always clean up after myself. I love travelling and visiting museums and national parks - pretty excited to see what Canberra has to offer so will probably spend weekends out exploring when not taking a break at home. Personality-wise I am told that I'm friendly, easy-going and positive. Flexible around moving-in dates however the starting date for my full-time job is in the second week of February. Preferred length is stated as 6 months but is really flexible. Always happy to team up and establish a small sharehouse of 2-3 like-minded people also!
Hi, I am a full time public servant who studies part-time at the ANU. I work in Acton so am looking to share a house nearby. I love riding my bike (I don't have a car), keeping up to date with the news and learning new tricks! Not adverse to hitting up the town or going out, but do also enjoy quiet time. I used to play ultimate frisbee until I smashed my ankle up good - now I lick my wounds. Am currently looking for a new weekend activity which doesn't involve running and turning!
I'm a student at the ANU who has recently returned from an exchange semester in Uppsala, Sweden and am looking for somewhere to live for 6 months while I complete the last semester of my degree. I enjoy getting to know new people, hanging out with friends, travelling and learning new languages. I'm from sydney so I also love visiting the beach.
Just finished high school from Melbourne and looking for a place to stay while studying at ANU. I love cooking, I'm into sport and love going to local gigs for live music. I also have a car so already planning weekend adventures around Canberra.
Hi, just recently received a job offer to be working within the APS, looking to move in ASAP, as I start work on the 15/02/17. Any where in the Canberra region is ok with me. I'm 25, relaxed easy going person. Happy to have a night out, or have a lazy time at home, or even jump in the car and go for a road trip, such as going for a fish, or even a wonder around the city. Currently my standard day involves work, then training finished with either tv, random shows or reading a book.
Am born and raised in Sydney, and am moving down to Canberra for a job with the APS. I'm neat and tidy in communal areas, I'm social, but respect a roommate's privacy and alone time. I'm a pretty active guy and am into my social sports, hiking and camping and big into rock climbing. I enjoy cooking, and am reasonably health conscious. Love a social drink and and evening chat.
24 year old professional. I work full-time in the city. I love to keep active and enjoy being outdoors. I enjoy curling up on the couch with a good book or TV show. I am an easy going, clean and tidy person. I am looking for a group house where we can share the occasional group meal or drink but also respect each other's space. I have a 2 year old Russian Blue cat which I ideally like to bring with me. I am a non smoker.
Hey! I'm a future ANU student from QLD looking for a place in/around Canberra to move into in march/April. I'm quiet, energetic yet easygoing, bubbly and friendly. I'm also a personal trainer and I absolutely love animals! I have one little shy grey cat, who I would love to accompany me on my move if possible, but I understand if that's not possible. I'm keen to either move into a room, sharehouse, homestay or find someone to rent a flat with. Please message me if you want any more details!
Hi, I'm Grace! I'm looking to share a place somewhere in the inner South or inner North. I'm moving to Canberra in January to start work as a graduate in the public service. I am clean and tidy. I enjoy going for walks, reading a good book and photography. I am looking forward to socialising and getting to know my housemate, but also understand the need for personal space and alone time. Am looking forward to new experiences and meeting new people.
Emi - I'm an (initially) shy half-Japanese-half-Aussie student from Sydney about to undertake my first year of university at ANU (Bachelor of Science). I play piano, guitar and sing; and enjoy powerlifting and swimming. I'm a qualified lifeguard - so you'll have someone in the house that knows First Aid and CPR - haha! I like a clean house and am often prone to being a super neat freak when I'm stressed, but when I'm not stressed, I'm a normal kind of clean. Very easy-going but dedicated student when I have to be. Luke - I'm an Aussie bloke moving to Canberra to study at ANU. I like powerlifting and gaming in my free time even though I'm terrible at both. I'm pretty laid back as well, which is a good thing most of the time. Together - We are a respectful couple that won't make you feel like you're third-wheeling. We have already been living together so there won't be any 'first-time-living-together-fighting'. We both enjoy existential questioning, deep conversations and debating in differing opinions...so would love if you could join in!
I've lived almost exclusively in share houses for the last 8 years (preceded by 6 years of boarding school) so I know all about being respectful of other peoples' spaces and reliable with rent, shared expenses etc. I'm super clean and tidy and I don't like mooching off others, so I expect the same from my house mates. I work full time in the public service so I won't be home much during the weekdays. Weeknights I'm usually pretty content just to do my own thing but I'm happy to jump on board social events too, especially when someone else organises it. It usually doesn't take much twisting my arm to get up to adventures on the weekends though. If you want to know anything else just let me know or feel free to do a cheeky Facebook stalk Also my move date is flexible! I had to put one down so it's just a rough estimate. Cheers!
My name is Peter and I've recently finished a grad program at the Department of Infrastructure after moving down to Canberra at the beginning of the year. I'm a pretty easy going guy, happy to get along with anyone and fairly social but also get that everyone enjoys their alone time. I'm a fan of doing shared meals, having a chilled drink or board/card game and just lounging in front of high/poor quality TV. I'm pretty well house trained (thanks mum), clean but not pedantic and a reasonable cook (if you're a fan of pasta bake/Thai curries). Let me know if you'd like to meet up!
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Fun, tidy and easy-going, I'm a bit of a goofball, I like to keep the house in a reasonably clean state but am not OCD. I enjoy my quiet time but also love to sit around with a beer or glass of wine and have a chat. I have a pet cat who is very good with other animals and warms up to new people quite easily. I'm from country NSW but have lived in Canberra for almost a year now, studying and working. Would love to find a pre-existing place that accepts pets or team up with some people to form a new sharehouse. Ideally would like to team up with 2 guys similar in age who are cat friendly and looking to live in the inner North or South of the city. I usually spend time in the garden or going for walks, reading and I love hitting up Canberra's jazz bars and live music scene for a drink and a dance.
I'm a busy late-20s professional working full time in the public service. I'm from Canberra, have been living in Sydney for the last couple of years but returning home for work. I'm sociable and easygoing, extremely clean and respectful of people's space. I love fashion, food, reading, tv and movies.
Hey all! I am an international student from Hong Kong and will be studying in ANU. I am moving alone so I don't know anyone in Australia/Canberra. I am a respectful and down to earth person who is a bit quiet at first but can be fun to talk to when I get to know a person. I like watching movies, reading, listening to music, napping on a beach, exploring new places, eating different kinds of cuisine, local street food and having a few drinks with friends. I don't smoke and I don't have pets. I am a tidy person and don't make noise. I would love to live with people who are friendly and tidy. Flat-wise I prefer a place within walking/bicycles distance of ANU. I don't mind sharing bathroom but I prefer to have my own furnished lockable room.
Kyle and I are fourth year law students at ANU who've been living on campus for the past three years. We both like sport and talking smack. Very interested in teaming up to find a share house somewhere in the inner north!
Hi, I'm a 2nd year Medical student studying at ANU. I've lived in Canberra for the past 4 years both on and off campus. I do study a lot for my degree, but in my spare time I enjoy playing hockey, brunching with friends and hiking. I understand that everyone needs their own personal space, but I am happy to hear about your day and enjoy a drink, some food, and a movie every so often. :-) I look forward to hearing from you!
I'm a PhD student at ANU. I spend most of my time at uni during the week, but like to relax and hang out at home at the end of the day. I'm a pretty flexible person. I like a bit of both worlds, partying or relaxing. Nothing that isn't planned ahead can't be done. Just let me know in advance about a party or people staying over and I'll be fine with it. Plus, I also want to be able to have friends over at times. Regarding tidiness, I'm not obsessed by cleaning, but I don't like dirty toilets for example. I like to clean the house once a week and don't tend to leave dishes in the sink for long. I prefer to share a house with another female around my age. I'm also fine living with couples. I need a place with walking distance to ANU that fits in my budget (up to 200/week) Get in touch with me if we match ;) Cheers, Dani
Hi! I'm from Melbourne and will be moving up to Canberra in January to start a graduate position with the Australian Public Service. As I'll be new to Canberra, I'm keen to explore the city's food and live music venues as well as check out some of the national parks and scenery outside the city on weekends. To live with - I am easy going and sociable, and make a great TV binge watching companion. I also love cooking, brunch... a lot, hiking, tennis and snowboarding (although I wish my skills reflected this more accurately). I'm hoping to find one other person to establish a share house with and find a place relatively close to the city in Braddon, Ainslie, Reid or Turner. Feel free to shoot me a message - I'd love to meet up for coffee and discuss things further :)
We are both from Melbourne and moving up to Canberra in January to commence grad positions with the Australian Public Service. We are hoping to find one other person to establish a share house with and find a place in Braddon, Ainslie, Dickson, Reid or Campbell. We are easy going, sociable, and as it's our first time living in Canberra, we are both keen to check out new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. Things we like: - Brunch.... a lot, particularly the infamous smashed avo of which we are told is drastically impacting our ability to save for a future house deposit - Cooking (Emma also enjoys baking, Erika enjoys eating Emma's creations) - Checking out live music - Films - Vietnamese food & dumplings (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - Hiking/jogging - Snowboarding Erika is moving up on 9 January to try and find a place and Emma will be joining shortly after. Shoot us a message, we'd love to hear from you :)
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 28 and I'll be moving to Canberra in January for work. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Prefer to live with like minded people and become friends rather than just housemates.
Returning to full time work in the health industry after a year off traveling the world (currently ski instructing in Switzerland!)... Active, well trained flatmate who loves cooking and sharing a bottle of wine every now and then.
I'm currently working full time in the city and would like to find a place walking distance to work. Outside of work, I dance a couple of times a week and may try to fit in other activities. I'm organised, clean, respectful and pretty easy going. I enjoy sharing a meal and unwinding the day together but I am also fine doing my own things.
Hi! I'm a full time public servant and law student at ANU. I enjoy cooking, eating and having a few drinks with housemates but also happy to do my own thing. Looking forward to chatting with you :)
I'm Camila and I am currently living in Brisbane. I work full-time in the APS, and I my work is now taking me to Canberra. I am an easy-going, friendly person, who likes to socialize but is also respectful of others' space. I'm tidy and like to keep my place clean and organized. I like to chill during the weekends, go out and explore new places/things to do.
Neat, good personal hygiene, great company, hilarious and humble. Moving from Melbourne to the our country's fabulous (ahem) capital to further my career and pursue higher(er) education. For fun I like to eat and shop beyond my means, not exercise and read. A bit to much. Kthanksbai!
I'm very much looking for a home to live in. I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne, where i currently live in a beautiful terrace with two friends. My living situation is very important to me and I expect to foster good relationships with my housemates as well as keeping a clean and beautiful space to live in.
Hey, I'm looking for a room for me and my Bulldog willow. I'm a 23 year old female. I spend most of my spare time going to the gym or just relaxing in my room when I'm not working. I am looking for somewhere to move ASAP. I'm pretty chilled don't mind a movie and chat with the housemates but also respect personal space and privacy. Willow is a 2 year old American Bulldog. She is extremely chilled out and spends all her time sleeping and wanting cuddles. She doesn't chew anything and is obedient. Send me a message if you think you have a place for us :)
I will be joining ANU for my Masters program. Looking for a place near the campus during my stay. I'm neat, organised & respect personal space. I like reading novel, food & games. I plan to move in by 2nd week of Feb (Flexible dates).
I'm very clean and polite. I can cook for a group and I have great staff discount with my employer. I spend most of my spare time illustrating or studying, but I also love movies and comics. I like to get out a bit too, either for drinks or the odd walk/jog, when it's in the budget I wouldn't mind joining a gym either. I don't mind pets but I'm gonna wait a few years before I bother investing in one for myself. I don't mind petsitting however! I've left my car in Adelaide for now and i don't want to buy another one so decent access to public transport is a MUST!
I'm John, 29, lawyer, moving to Canberra from Melbourne to join the APS. I enjoy cooking, wine, the outdoors, camping, and gym. I value good conversation but don't mind quiet time. I'm clean, friendly and easygoing, looking to make Canberra home for the next year or longer.
My name is Mina and I'm 23 years old. I'm a political science student from Aarhus University in Denmark. In January I'm moving to Canberra to work as an intern at the Danish Embassy. At the moment I live in a small apartment in central Aarhus with my boyfriend. I'm a happy and smiling person. I love to hang out with my friends, enjoy good food, a cold beer or a good glass of wine. I would be a good flat mate if you are the type of person who likes a chit chat around the kitchen table or maybe an after-work beer once in a while.
Hi! I'm 26 and moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start in an APS grad position. I'm very clean, enjoy cooking and exercising, as well as a few wines on the weekend. Looking for a room in a shared apartment with 2-3 people, no couples or cats. Cheers :)

Professional looking to start a share house with one or two other people. Prefer 30+ and who are clean, tidy and trustworthy. I travel for work a bit so am not always home. Will be relocating to Canberra in Jan 17. Yes, I am in my 40's (insert sad face here) but I am very sociable and am down to earth and love to be able to have a laugh with my roomies. On the flip side am respectful of needing space and downtime. I stay fairly quiet during the week as I am an early starter for work, but do enjoy a wine and a chat, especially by the end of the week !! Love to cook and am happy to share a meal or go to the local ...
I'm a 22 year old from Adelaide who is moving to Canberra in late January for a one year contract in the Australian Public Service. I completed my Construction Management degree recently and have previously been working in Local Government/Council. I'm quiet and easy to get along with and my interests include photography, computer gaming and being outdoors.I cook occasionally, sushi is my favourite dish to prepare. I'm a tidy person who doesn't smoke and enjoys an occasional drink. I fly over on Jan 30 and need to find a place to live by mid Feb. I'll also need parking options for my car.
Hey! Mid-20's female looking for a place in the inner north or south. Easy going, neat, friendly and clean. Love playing sports and always looking for my next micro- adventures. You can usually find me out and about on the weekends and playing in a social comp during the week.

I'm a 21 year old full time worker. I love cooking, binge watching TV shows such as Doctor Who. I'm looking to move out of home as it's probably about time. I have a gorgeous house trained cat who has been around dogs as well as children. I'm a wee bit of a clean freak which is beneficial for those I live with as I will not be messy! I have lived out of home in the past in other countries and am used to the responsibility that comes with living out entails as well as working with others to make a home. Please message me if you think I'd make you a great addition to your household (:
Hi all! I'm 22 and moving from Melbourne to Canberra to begin a Masters at ANU. I have spent the last 2 years living in an inner city share house with 4 others. So it's safe to say I love company and socialising! I am a respectful, considerate housemate who is always happy to help. My interests are baking, pole dancing and general outdoorsy activities. References can be provided on request.
I'm moving to Canberra for a full-time public service job. I'm looking for a share house in the inner north. I'm flexible with move dates, but I want to have a place before I start work on 6 February. While I’m an active and social person, I’m also a considerate housemate. I’d like to live in a social house where we occasionally enjoy a shared meal/drink/Netflix binge but also respect each other’s space. My preference is to live with people who also work full time. I currently live in Sydney. I can quote episodes of Broad City, IT Crowd and Arrested Development pretty much line for line, if you're into that kind of thing. I like hiking, reading, live music, podcasts, yoga and good food/coffee. I also love cooking. I’m always looking for people to eat my baked goods so that I don’t eat them all.
Hey, I'm Mandy from Adelaide who has recently moved up to Canberra to start a graduate program in the public sector this year. I am easygoing, amicable, and am equally respectful of others. I'm also clean and tidy, and will always pull my own weight. Though I enjoy my private time (parties aren't really my thing), I am always up for a good chat and socialising! I'm really looking forward to seeing what Canberra has to offer :)
