I have a background in teaching English, and working with deaf kids. Originally from India, I lived in Adelaide for 10 years and moved here 2 years ago. I love cats, board games, all animals really, american tv, indian movies, and am a complete foodie. On a regular day at home, you will find me binge watching netflix or reading in mismatched pyjamas. I am clean, respectful, warm, an LGBT ally and lean to the left and would like to live with someone with a similar disposition. I bring with me a medium fridge, a spare heater and an exercise bike, all of which am happy to share. I also have a double bed, which am not willing to share! (cats and dogs are excluded) I don't have any pets but it's a bonus if you do :)
We are a young active couple who recently moved from Brisbane to Melbourne. We both work, having Matt as a tradie and Jessie working in hospitality. We love to go out and explore our new city on the weekends whilst unwinding during the week; watching tv and relaxing after a days work. Matt loves sports and plays football (soccer) and Jessie has a very fond appreciation of food (but can't cook). We are a clean and tidy couple, with no pets, non-smokers, but love the occasional drink. We are looking to find a long term place with friendly, easy going company. Looking forward to hearing back from potential flatmates, Matt & Jessie :)
I'm a 21 year old girl looking for somewhere to live for my working holiday year in Melbourne! I'm from Norway and love meeting new people, easy to get to know and always friendly and respectful. I've lived on my own since i was 18 but I think it would be really fun to live in a shared house!
Hey, my name is Casey! I work full time and study so my schedule is pretty jam packed. I work pretty early most mornings (usually on weekends as well) so I'm not big on the party scene. I enjoy cooking and the gym and generally keep to myself and am pretty quiet but enjoy a good chat. I like a clean home where I can just relax after a long day. I'd love to live with like minded people, if this sounds like you hit me up for a chat 😊
We are looking to share with another couple. Ideally a large house with plenty of space and a garden. Happy to live 30/40 mins from the CBD to get an amazing place for the budget. We both work full time and are not party animals during the week... If you enjoy a glass of wine, BBQ and good conversation in a garden or brilliant living space let us meet and get to know each other. We both recently moved to Melbourne and have lived in Collingwood for a few months and now feel a bigger space would be better. Dan is an AV designer from the UK and I am Namibian working as a Travel Agent. In our free time we love design, camping, cycling and travelling.
Hi! I'm a full-time student studying Landscape Architecture at RMIT. I hosted on Airbnb with 4.6 rating and was living in a shared accommodation for 2 years. Sharing accommodation is something I always do therefore I am highly trained to be a housemate. I always kept my place pristine and well decorated. I'm a plant and garden enthusiast so I'll make an excellent housemate especially for you green-thumbers. During a semester I spent my time mostly working on my assignments. Enjoy drinks and chat. I am a non-smoker but would smoke occasionally in a social setting (420 friendly). Last but not least I f-ing love pets (especially dogs)!
Hi, I'm Independent, respectful and easy going. I'm an alternative person who enjoys spending time with my house mates but also value my own space and other peoples. I'm clean and tidy, can help out with any garden or house maintenance as i have a back ground in building. Into music, playing instruments, going on adventures, bike riding etc...
Hi, I'm Casey. I'm 19 years-old and a full-time student at ACU studying teaching and arts, majoring in maths and minoring in literature. I work part-time as a waitress on weekends. I moved up from East Gippsland to Melbourne at the beginning of the year in order to study, so a country girl at heart. I'm friendly and love a good chat but I still respect other people's personal space. I'm clean, I know how to cook and I'm not loud. I'm more than happy to help out around the house with cleaning/cooking etc. I'm pretty easy going and enjoy reading in my spare time. Always down for a movie night. I don't drink or smoke, but love a good cup of tea or coffee. Please feel free to contact me anytime :)
I'm looking for a place close to central Melbourne. I'm busy most of the time but would love to catch up with flatmates sometimes. Furnished or semi furnished room would be great. Cheers
New Yorker moving from Byron Bay. I'm a chill yogi who loves dogs, gallery hopping, and whipping up veggie eats. Looking for a fun flat mate to explore Melbourne with. Looking for a place last week of November/early December. Flexible on budget. :)
Looking for somewhere that is comfortable and feels good to come home to each day. If you had a veggie garden for me to play in, that would be a bonus. I have a passion for healthy eating and wellbeing.... but who doesn't these days :) Non-smoking home would be ideal. I'm clean and respectful. If you'd like to know more just ask. I'm interested in 6+ months.
Hi there :-) I'm Sophie, I'm a 30 year old, British, ESL teacher. I've lived in Melbourne for a year now and I love it and i'm staying for at least one more year. I'm a very chilled, easy going person. I consider myself friendly and sociable. I love a G and T in the back garden sunshine but I also enjoy a quiet night in watching Broadcity or what ever else i'm obsessed with at the time. When I can I try to watch live comedy and watch a gig with my mates. I don't crazy party every weekend but I love a good boogy now and then. I'm currently trying to see as much of Australia as I can, so I'm trying to see stuff on weekends and hike where possible. I also cook pretty mean Vietnamese pancakes! I'm looking for a similar vibe. i'd love to live in a mixed house with people mid 20's onwards. I'm very easy going and liberal so happy to live with anyone from any walk of life. Also I love cats and dogs so that's cool too :-)
Hi other Flatmates users! I am interested in starting a team up between myself and a few other nice, outgoing females (aged 18-26) to look into getting our own (relatively cheap) place together and to set it up the way we would like to! I will be moving from Wagga Wagga, NSW to Melbourne around that start of January next year to study a Bachelor of Fashion Design! I’ve had a few offers just figuring out where I would like to study. Looking for some girls who are like minded, either studying or working (or both!) to move in with around that time. I am extremely keen on setting up our own place and making it ours rather than going into someone else’s home, who I wouldn’t know and to feel uncomfortable living under their roof and using their things. I have already got a fridge, washing machine, outdoor setting, kitchen utensils and some appliances and cookware. A little bit more about me... I am an 18 (nearly 19) yr old girl who loves to chill, do regular exercise, I cook and clean around the house all the time and like to socialise with friends as well as get a bit arty and do some painting in the evenings and on weekends too. I also am working flat out full time atm trying to save as much money as I can right now to move and to be able to set myself up in a place I can call my home! Please let me know if you’re interested. I would love to have a chat and see where things could go! Thank you :)))
Hey. I'm looking for somewhere from 1 to 24 December. We're having to move as our landlord is doing renovations, and so I'm looking for three weeks' temporary accommodation until I go travelling for a month. I'm happy with either a furnished or unfurnished room. I moved to Melbourne about 6 months ago after many years of living in London (I'm originally from Adelaide). I'm 43, work as a lawyer, I like travel, music, books, art, film. If this sounds okay, please PM me. Cheers Polly
I'm moving to Melbourne from Noosa at the beginning of next year to study Speech Pathology at La Trobe and need somewhere to live! Close to a train/tram line is a must because I am not sure whether or not I'll take a car. I am looking to transfer my job at Coles so anywhere near a Coles would also be great. I won't be moving until eary Feb 2018 but can pay bond now to secure a place. A furnished room would be ideal but if not I can make it work :) If you have a room or are interested in a teamup, let me know xx
Myself and my girlfriend are looking for some long term accommodation to move into in early 2018. Dylan currently works full time in the CBD and I work part-time in Mildura, but I am able to move down with minimal notice. Looking for a place in northern suburbs of Melbourne that is close to a train station that takes less than 30 minutes to get to Southern Cross Station. We like to keep things tidy and we are very sociable, but we do respect others privacy. We enjoy playing video games, board games and listening to music. We both like to cook and enjoy having dinner with others. Please message if you think that we’d make a good fit for you and we can organise a time to catch up. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hey guys, I have just finished my Honours in Botany at La Trobe University and I'm looking to continue my studies with a PhD over the next few years. Seeking a share-house near uni but am open to suburbs a little further away and am flexible with the move date. I have lived in share houses since I was 20 and quite enjoy it when there is good chemistry between housemates. I have also owned and lived in my own home and have backpacked extensively through many countries including Greece, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Most recently, I spent a year in South America where I volunteered on farms, couch-surfed with many locals, and made a short film with students in Colombia. I used to party a lot but those days are well and truly behind me and Im looking for housemate who are on the same page. I still enjoy the occasional glass of wine. I like to keep things tidy and happy to clean, garden and chip in around the home. I dont mind a bit of a chat. Apart from uni, I work casually as a TV/Film background extra (been doing it for over 10 years) and I also help out a mate every so often with his furniture repair business. I stay fit by hitting the gym and riding my bike to get around. I like: Seeing the happiness in everyday life, simplicity, laughing, gardening, permaculture, exercise, Qi Gong, camping, tidy and peaceful atmospheres, equality, respect for one another etc. I get along best with open-minded, free spirited, positive, creative types who are self-motivated and passionate about what they do in life. People who are thoughtful and respectful are also highly favoured. I'm also very interested in starting a share-house with like-minded people if an opportunity arises. I have some furniture, including a queen bed, desk, small dining table, and a two-seater plus chaise lounge. I also have a top-loader washing machine and a huge 520L like-new fridge. Happy to store some of these items if they are not needed. Happy to answer any questions and I'm really looking forward to seeing what's out there. Cheers
Student; Masters in Physiotherapy at La Trobe. From BC, Canada. Never been to Australia before. I am very easy going, love sports, the beach, surfing, going out and meeting new people. I love to go catch a game or a couple beers. I am very clean, non-smoker and will be studying lots, but I like to go have fun to balance out a stressful workload. Looking for a roommate or two, preferably in their 20's or 30's that are up for some adventures while I spend two years down there.
Hi there! My name is Becky, and I'm a fine art/education student studying full time. I love a good tidy living space, and I enjoy the company of furry animals. I'm also an easygoing person with thoughtful considerations for noise levels and guests. Oh, I really do clean up, trust me, I went to a boarding school for 4 years.
Hey there, I'm a 38yo teacher recently returned from two years working the The Netherlands and travelling around Europe every chance I had. I have a 4yo hound called Billy, who keeps me moving and giggling. He's a staffy cross koolie. I like to swim, garden and get to the beach. Netflix is a winter weakness and white beers and G&Ts my summer achilles. Love to live somewhere with friendly people who like casual convos but happy to give lots of space too. I'm tidy, financially savvy and respectful. Cheers, Katy
I was born and raised in California, and have spent the last two years living in Vancouver where I attended University studying Communications. I've decided to take some time off school to travel a bit and visit somewhere new! I arrive to Melbourne January 1 2018. In my previous house i lived with 8 other people, so i am very conscious about keeping a shared space clean, but also understand/don't mind the occasional mess. My ideal night out would be going to see live music, an art show, or just grabbing some yummy food! At home i like to make food (i am vegan but do not mind at all living with non vegan people! I previously lived with a couple butchers), craft a little bit, and just relax! I do like to keep myself pretty busy out and about as well. Overall I am a very positive and social person! (:
Hi I'm moved down to Melbourne from Brisbane at the end of August. Me: I've been sharing for most of my life, am an actor/ex biologist, like to cook, rockclimb, try to not kill the plants, dance, spend time outdoors, watch movies and theatre, sew, yoga......stuff. Will have a job, so don't worry. I come with mostly just bedroom furniture. I have a 11year old house tibetan spaniel x border collie, Toby, who wont eat your shoes or lunch, and is fully house trained. It would be great to find some chilled, friendly, people who like to share a meal and a drink occasionally, and are maybe artistic (obviously clean, tidy, open hearted, respectful etc, but that goes without saying so...And same for me too). I am really looking for a place to call home not just a room in a house. Love to hear from you. Cheers Donna
