We are a Brazilian couple working and struggling to learn English in Brisbane. We both are easy going and enjoy spending time with other people. Although we are not a party people we like to receive guests sometimes and have a nice company, drinking, talking and laughing. We are looking for a clean and tidy place as well as we are and also for people who wants to make a nice friendship. We also like to listen to music, eat (eat again), relax, doing exercises and barely going out. If you get interested, please, do not hesitate in contact us!
Hello! I am goofy 26 y.o gay professional working in Medical Imaging. Looking for a place to call home with some wonderful peeps! My current roommate has sadly moved OS to live and I have opted to not continue my current lease (which ends on the 6th of March) for a bit of a change. I am super easy going, clean ( but not OCD) and considerate. Would love to share a couple of beverages/ meals/good vibes, go for a hike or hit up the movies with the roomies. I like getting out and about, dabbling in crafts, hiking and keeping active. I do have to travel a bit between the GC + Sunshine coast for work, so I do have to be up and at 'em early fairly often. I am looking for an unfurnished room+ I do have a couple of other pieces of furniture ( fridge, chairs TV etc) that I can bring along with me. Please don't be afraid to ask any questions and I am happy to meet up for a coffee/drink. Cheers, Todd
Hi, I'm from Germany, my family moved to Brisbane Australia when I was a wee baby. I grew up in Byron bay until returning to Brisbane and have been a local ever since 2000. What I do I work as an addictions counsellor and community educator for an NGO. Previously a designer and barista at cafes. For fun (and adventure) I spend my weekends with good friends, family, picnics, cafes, outings I have a mild book addiction, work on my business, visit family and the beach in my home town often, take my surfboard with me in summer. Love bushwalking and adventuring Addicted to learning, and hearing new perspectives I love getting engaged with like minded people in our community and am passionate about many topics.... Few! I'll save the rest for a face to face meeting Why I'm great to live with I really value a clean and respectful home, and love sharing good food, conversation, and occasional drinks. Also time to myself every now and then. send me a message!
Hi I'm Japanese female on working holiday visa. I'm looking for own room which is maxmum $160 /pw. I'd happy to live a place close to some grocery store which I can walk. I'm tidy, responsible and very quiet. I like to watch movies very much. I may study English or look for job at home around clock, beacause I'm not going to language school and, I'm an unemployed now. I can stay maxmum 3 months. If you are interested in me, Please feel free to contact me!
Hi I'm Anna, I'm from Melbourne but in Brisbane until the end of March for work. Ideally looking for something i can move into ASAP and vacating around the 31st of March. I'm easy to get along with, not OCD but pretty tidy. Like to be social but also like to be a couch potato.
I'm a PhD Candidate (doing my research about culinary tourism/social media and marketing). Apart from doing my PhD, I also work part-time (a few days per week) as a consulate officer in the CBD. I've lived in a lot of shared houses (both in Brisbane and Glasgow) while Bangkok and Malmö are cities where I spent my childhood. Well I like to think that I'm pretty easy to live with - however I am such a clean/neat freak and a minimalist. I really like something that's marble, woody, white or rose-gold! If the bedroom is unfurnished, that's totally fine since I have got some ideas for my Pinterest-inspired bedroom. Obsessed with all the candles, Aesop products and etc that can make the home is a place to unwind. I would say I prefer to keep the house organised and clutter-free. I mostly cook at home but as a foodie I often go out to find good places/cafes to chill out and catch up with foodies. Although I love cooking and baking (everyone says I'm pretty good at baking anything about matcha) at home, I do use electricity wisely so we can save money and help protect the environment.
My Fiance and I are both about to start our first year studying Law at USQ, after successful completion of our first year, we will be transferring to either QUT, Griffith or UQ. We would need a quiet nook where we can study and prefer our own bathroom- unless you're clean (i've had bad experiences with shared bathrooms- lol!) We're currently renting a house with family, however, they may be moving soon to the other side of QLD and we can't afford a place to ourselves so we're looking for expressions of interest and to sort of price out rooms in brisbane and surround areas. We're both very clean people and stick to ourselves most often, but are totally fine with socialising with household every now and then. We aren't huge drinkers, it's sort of a once in a blue moon thing for us so our noise levels won't be an issue. We're very respectful and considerate of others as we believe everyone should feel comfortable in their home! We have no age or gender preference in roommates, however, do want people who are respectful of noise levels and of people's property, as well as clean. Looking for a place with bills and internet included, doesn't have to be furnished as we have our own furniture and prefer not to sell it but will if we have to. We love animals so we don't have a problem if you have any - I have "adopted" 3 neighbourhood cats currently and they visit me for cuddles when i'm outside (so cute), also if you have a dog it'll be my best friend, love dogs. Swing us a message if interested.
I'm easy going clean and respectful of others. I have a 2yo staffs x named Bronson who is super friendly and well trained. I do have all house furniture but can store it as required. Looking for something with aircon and own bathroom preferably :)
Full time Nurse at RBWH and full time university student studying Creative Industries at QUT. Usually keep to ourselves during the week, but love to be social with good food and vino over the weekend. We are clean and tidy individuals who are respectful of others belongings and space. Looking for a place with nearby public transport and hopefully air conditioning! Both have a car so a carpark or space to park is essential. Love to cook so expect lots of baked goods and other tasty treats to eat. Just two gal pals looking for 1 or 2 more people to move into a house with us. We come with a collection of vinyl records to twirl around the house to with glass of pinot in hand and some pretty cool vintage furniture, rugs and plants to deck out the house with. Also have the cutest 3 year old little tortoiseshell kitty named Olive.
Milo Wres is an independent Canadian artist - currently based in Australia. In addition to collecting crystals and bags of coffee beans to add to their hoard, this artist enjoys dabbling in the occult and stuffing their face with pasta.
I'm a graduate Linguist working Part-time the in CBD who is returning to full-time uni once again! I'm a great cook, love the gym, vegan, musician and an overall chilled out person. I'm happy to live with singles, couples, kids, pets, smokers [though I am not one], everyone and everyone as long as we all get along!
I'm a Journalism student at UQ looking for a room. Non-smoker, neat and I have all my own furniture. I don't have any pets but my parents do have a dog that might occasionally come to visit. I own a car so a spot to park it would be great! My move in date is flexible, but I would prefer to find somewhere before Uni starts!
What we need: A room or a studio apartment with an own bathroom for a couple. We are willing to spend up-to $275 for a week with the furnishings and the bills. About us: I am Sandali Dinalaththa and my boyfriend is Kanishka Keragala. We were dating for two years and happily married for one month. We both were born in Sri Lanka. We are hoping to move to Brisbane by the mid February to finish my bachelors degree in Computer Science in QUT and kanishka's masters in Hospitality management and MBA in James cook University. We are a planning to work part time while studying. We both are outgoing and friendly. Likes to hang out with friends. Please let us know if you have a place to rent for us 😊 Have a good day. Sandali and Kanishka
Quiet, professional female. Fairly busy so rarely at home, sociable and enjoy a quiet drink/meal but not really a partier. Prefer something unfurnished and hopefully with some storage space as I would be coming from my own place so have a fair bit of stuff - downsizing as much as I can though).
Hi! I'm moving to Brisbane from Perth for an Engineering job in the CBD. I'm easy going, sociable and a tidy person. Happy to have a few drinks, group dinners and just generally hang out etc. but I'm also respectful of other people's space. I like spending my time outdoors and am keen to explore Brisbane and QLD being new to the city. Ideally would like to live with 2 or 3 other similar people either to team up to find a place or a room to rent in an existing share house. Not really keen on an apartment/unit. I'm staying with a friend when I first get to Brisbane and can stay there until around the end of Feb so I'm flexible with a move in date but would rather get somewhere more permanent sooner rather than later.
I live on my own at the moment and my lease ends at the end of this month. Looking for a change. I work two jobs in hospitality and travel often. I am quiet, easy going and friendly and enjoy a good wine and a good movie/tv. I dont go out very much as i am often busy with working but when i get free time i like to as i said enjoy a glass of wine and just relax!
Friendly little Malaysian that enjoys painting and cooking but don't worry, I always clean up after myself! Generally a laid-back individual that enjoys a chat over a coffee or some whisky. Always open to new things and cultural exchange.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a new place to live! I love friendly company and always up for a chat. I also love a glass or two of wine 👌🏾 I work full time so I'm usually on the go, I also love to sit at home and watch movies and a bit of netty. Feel free to message me on here, my current housemates have decided to part from our current home so I'm looking for another beautiful home :)
Hi, I'm a professional working in the Brisbane CBD looking to find someone to share with one or two others in a central location. I'd prefer to meet someone to find a place together, but happy to move into an existing property if the fit is right. Selling points for Michael include: - Clean and tidy, no stranger to a vacuum cleaner; - Produces baked goods for you from time to time; - Can bring along a high quality lounge suite; - Friendly, but happy to give you your space; - I won't always be just hanging around the house; - Comes with access to his Stan subscription. I'd appreciate meeting one or two like-minded, reasonably tidy people to share with. Let me know if you'd like to discuss this further, I'm happy to meet for coffee/apartment hunting.
Hows it goin, I'm Cory. I'm a Canadian from Vancouver studying kinesiology, and I'm doing an exchange at UQ for a term. Hobbies include drinkin beer, sports and music. 22 -year-old recent graduate working in Marketing. I'm social and I love a chat with wine, but I'm not a huge party animal :) Looking for a room in a modern house with other working professionals.
We are looking for a large bedroom and some storage space, easy to live with , clean and quiet we both love riding our bikes 🚴. and Holly will away on placement to finish her Uni degree most of the time. I work full time but when we are around we just like to relax and cook.
Hola future flatmates, I am currently looking for a place to live in Brisbane, preferably long term, after having just returned from spending six months in the UK studying abroad and travelling. I am looking for a laid back house with friendly flatmates who are happy to have a wine and a chat or the occasional shared dinner but who also respect each other's privacy. I'm studying business (PR & Marketing), am easy to get along, tidy and friendly. If I'm not working or studying I'll most likely be catching up with friends over brunch, exercising or going on adventures! I'm also not opposed to the odd Netflix binge. I've lived both in share houses and on my own so understand the importance of equally contributing to cleaning and general upkeep. I'd preferably like to move in early-mid February however am flexible with these dates. Looking forward to hearing from you! Ashleigh
I'm a positive and fun-loving girl, easy to get along with, and quite clean. I am a full-time student studying BusMan/BIHTM at UQ, and currently work as a casual/part-time waitress. I'm from Brisbane but want to get out of the Redlands and move closer to the city. I enjoy hanging out with friends, attending live music events, going to the beach and going on little adventures. I also love to travel, and am always planning my next trip well ahead of time.
Currently in my second year studying Physics at The University of Queensland. I love video games and TV as well as running and eating healthy and well. I'm quiet, relaxed and like a good chat over a glass of scotch. I always keep tidy and I cook where ever possible.

I am an American student who will be studying at QUT Gardens Point from February-June. I am looking for a room in a house/apartment for this time. I am very easy going and can get along with almost anyone!
My name is Dennis (24 years old), I'm from Germany and I'll be at QUT for an exchange semester from February till July. I'm looking for a place close to QUTs Garden Point campus. I have lived with different flatmates since I got into university 5 years ago and I got along with all of them! I'm tidy, easy-going and a non smoker. I used to go to high school at the Gold Coast for 9 months so I'm already accustomed to the Aussie lifestyle and I even remember some of the slang :D If you have a room to rent or want to team up for the search leave me a message. Cheers Dennis
Hi all! I'm going to be studying a science degree at UQ this year and am looking to find accommodation (under $150/week incl. bills) by early February. I'm sociable (but also enjoy some recharge relax time), tidy, reliable for rent, and would love to get the chance to meet some new people! Always willing to contribute to chores and love to cook my own meals (veg.), plus I am good with organisation and living on a budget, and find it easy to get along with absolutely anyone. I'm always down for socialising or hitting up a club or two, but also don't mind some quiet chill time and keeping to myself. Overall just fairly easy-going and am hoping to find a place asap, so feel free to message!
Hi, we are friends (not a couple) from Bundaberg who are looking for a 2 bedroom place in Brisbane. Romy is 17 (18 in August) and will be starting at Griffith Uni this year to study Bachelor of law. Jack is 17 (18 in May) and is getting a work transfer to Brisbane for this year and hopes to study at Uni next year. We are looking for a place near Griffith or close to public transport to get to Uni. Romy has a little dog but if pets are not allowed that's ok, the dog can stay with her parents in Bundaberg. We will respect your place and keep it clean & tidy.
I´m tidy and I like order. Respectful and good listener. I think I know how to respect the other´s space. I´m friendly and I like to share cultural curiosities. I like to cook when I have time. I´m sporty. I have studied Journalism and Teaching at Spain, and I´m in Australia to improve my English and live a great experience. I hope you could be part of it! =)
Hi there, I'm Ness! I'm looking for a place while I continue (the seemingly never ending journey) of saving for a house deposit. And no, I will not sacrifice smashed avo. I'm single and have a pretty good balance in life. I'm housemate trained after share housing for a decade or so, including basics such as: - keeping communal areas tidy - 'clean as you go' kitchen habits - pushing a vacuum cleaner and other weekly chores - replacing toilet paper and other household items - Netflix binging - kicking back and having a chat with a drink in hand or over dinner - respecting/ giving you space I highly value staying active, healthy and happy, which means I'm busy during the weekdays with: - exercising (boxing, running, gym, indoor soccer, walking, or other) - working full time in health and community care (including some travel) - spending time with mates Weekends are for adventures, events, and sometimes relaxing. Things I'd like to do at any time? - travel. I just got back from trekking to base camp Everest which (probably needless to say) was incredible. Diving somewhere is happening for the Easter break... - eat. I love eating, particularly anything fresh, or on a brunch menu, but I certainly don't discriminate. - spend my time outdoors doing everything and anything. - spend time with animals- I've done volunteering in this space before and if you have a pet I'll love it like my own! I'm looking to move to a place: - preferably mid Feb - for 6 months or more - with max 3 housemates - unfurnished bedroom - with carpark (on street parking is fine) - close to the city (walking distance preferably) I'd be looking for housemate(s) who are positive, enjoy wit, predominantly sociable, and enjoy what they do. Anything else you want to know? Feel free to message me!
Hey I'm Marama, just moved over from NZ, looking for an apartment ideally so I can move out of my aunties, need my independence so I can do my own thing. Working full time in the city, still figuring out the area so would prefer to stay central or near the city! I'm clean, friendly, respectful, chill. Never late on bills. Keen to connect with someone and look for maybe a 2 bedroom apartment in a central suburb even?? Also need to note, I have 2 brothers who work and live in Kilcoy and will likely come visit me on their days off, maybe crash over. If that's not cool with you, neither am I. :)
Hi I'm Bryce, I'm a 29 year old Australian guy originally from near the Sunshine Coast, and I have close American friend John (Colorado) who is arriving in January on a work visa. We are currently looking for 2/3 bedroom house or unit to move into around the beginning of February. Not opposed to moving into a place with another person to make it 3 people, within reason (i.e. relatively large place). I work in the oil & gas/mining exploration industry, and I also have a small scale GIS business on the side when I'm not working away in the field. John has just finished 12 months working at a research station down in Antartica and will most likely be working for the exploration company I work for early next year. We are all fairly well travelled and love to have a chat! If your place sounds like a perfect place for us to move into and around the time we are looking at, please hit me up!
Hi, I'm Josie - 23 years old, moving to Melbourne in February to begin a degree in Veterinary Medicine. I am a neat, tidy and quiet housemate, who has lived in shared homes before. I spent the last year living in London and working as an au pair, so I'm very used to doing my cooking and cleaning around other people's schedules. I grew up in Sydney and then lived in Canberra for my undergraduate degree. I suppose Melbourne was the next natural step in my south-west migration! I have quite a lot of furniture already, including a full-sized fridge, a three-person couch, and a LOT of bookcases, which I am happy to contribue to shared spaces. I enjoy reading, and of course love animals, so it would be great if I could have a small pet (think goldfish, not horse) , but no pets is definitely not a dealbreaker. I currently only have a UK mobile, but will be back in Aus with an Australian phone on February 4th.
*(I will only be able to do viewings from 16 Feb onwards).* Hello, I am an engineering student on exchange from Istanbul, Turkey. I will be studying in QUT in the next semester. I am quite friendly and I will try to do the best I can in order to enjoy a nice exchange semester; I will try to travel as much as I can while in Australia. I am up for hanging out and going out. I am always available for big brunches and everything related with good food! What else? I also enjoy reading, coffee, sports (trying to be fit-ish) and nice music. Sometimes I will need some alone time, in order to catch up with my hometown and recharge. I am looking for a furnished place with utensils, as I am coming from overseas. It doesn't matter if I share bathroom / bedroom, although I would prefer a room of my own. I am tidy and clean, and will do what is needed with chores for the common areas. Also, I want to cook some meals during the week, I am trying to learn how to cook :D I am planning to work part-time also. I will be leaving sometime between the end of June and the end of July, but I will sign a 6-month contract if the bond is not weekly, being aware that weekly bonds may not be the case. Looking forward to meeting you, future flatmate!
LOOKING FOR A ROOM IN A SHARED HOUSE Hey guys looking a room in a shared house, near South Brisbane, West End (more near Boundary st or Melbourne st) or The Valley. Possibly near the bus or train stations, gym and a pool. I'll be moving back on the second week of Feb, and desperately looking for a place to rent. I'm a visual artist, completed my post grad from QCA last year. Coming back to Brissy to complete a grad dip in Education. Comfortable with tidy and chilled home environments. Looking for a fairly average to a large size room. And additional sun room would be a great addition for my work. I do enjoy my frequent market and grocery visit for cook ups. Let me know if you are cool with that. I enjoy both socialising and some me time. I'm overseas at the moment wouldn't mind setting up a skype chat if it makes things easier or if you want to get to talk it out. Please do let me know, kinda in a bit of puddle with looking for a place from overseas. P.S. Would you be able to send me some pictures and the address, maybe one of my mates there can visit the house on my behalf. Cheers Kaz
Hi there ! I am a fun and caring person that is moving to Brisbane once I find accommodation for myself and my 9 year old poodle X. I am a dental assistant by trade currently and want more out of my career, so nursing here I come. I enjoy company of others but also like my time to myself. My poodle is house trained and he is well behaved. I have house shared before so I know what to expect with a house of different personalities. *(I will only be able to do viewings from 9 Feb onwards).* Hey, I'm Kai! I'm a 22 y.o. from Singapore who's going to study in QUT for 2+ years in 2017 and so I am searching for a place to call home in Brisbane. :) I'm friendly, open and laid-back so I'm easy to make friends with and hangout. :) Some days I like to have a quiet evening by myself and other days I'll be down to hang . I will respect your personal space and hope you do the same for me as well! I have done an okay amount of travelling, mostly by myself staying in hostels and so I have no problems with socialising and sharing (although I'm looking for a room all to myself). I am a responsible, clean and tidy individual so you don't have to worry about dishes left in the sink uncleaned or toothpaste smeared on the basin. I like the outdoorsy stuff especially surfing (I'm a beginner and am hoping to surf more!); video games are also my thing and I'm trying to learn the guitar. If not, I'll just be lazing around. 8) I'm looking for responsible, good natured and sociable flatmates who wouldn't mind making a new friend! Looking forward to meeting you! :)
Will be working full-time, divided between a production job on the Gold Coast and working in the theatre, inner-city. Which means time spent at home will be sparse. Very friendly and adaptable, but will always respect and expect the need for privacy. Also extremely clean, and find it hard to live in messy households. Always up for conversation, dinner, drinks etc. to make good vibes! Feel free to message if I fit your requirements!
I am 23 and work full time as a tree lopper. My partner is working prt time in a bar as well as studying criminal law at uni. We are both very tidy, respectful and considerate.
