Hey! Firstly, I'm not needing to move until January. I currently work fulltime at Mount Coot-tha and I've been living in Taringa for the past 3 years. I enjoy eating out, going out, having a drink after work, music festivals and going for runs along the river - or just staying in and binge watching netflix. I'd need to move mid-January, ideally looking to stay around Toowong/Taringa (train line / bus line) - but pretty flexible. I have my own communal appliances and furniture to bring with me if needed. Shoot me a message if you would be interested in starting a new place or if you need a spot filled and we can grab a coffee - Thanks!
I am currently doing undergrad at UQ (full-time). Looking to share a house with mature and clean flatmates. I am working part-time and enjoy improving my fitness when I am free. Not much of a party person (I am rather private and prefer to have my own space from time to time), but I enjoy intellectual conversations with people.
I'm a software engineer working in the city. I enjoy cycling to work, being social, being active, eating healthy (ish), cooking/eating foreign food. Dabble in a little sketching/painting occasionally. Will clean bathrooms and toilets haha!
hey, you guys can call me kid. i'll be moving to brisbane in february 2017 to study at UQ. i'm a fun and tidy guy. i'll be staying for at least 6 months but i might extend depending on the situation. i'm either busy with school or gaming at home during the day but i like to go out to meet new people and have fun at night but i'm not much of a party goer.
Hi I'm Elinor I'm moved to Brisbane from SA at the start if the year for uni ( I'm studying a Masters of teaching at UQ) and looking for now I'm looking for somewhere closer to uni to live. I'm a friendly person keen to live with someone who I can chat with and be friends with but also mindfull of personal space and boundaries. I'm clean and tidy and happy to help with household cleaning
I'm very social, easy-going and friendly, and am generally always up for a good time. That being said, I also know when it's time to get to work and be quiet and respectful. I like to keep busy, whether it be study or work, socialising or fitness. I'll be entering my 4th and final year of Speech Pathology at UQ in the new year and am keen to make it a good one. I am generally a very tidy person and will clean up after myself and help around the house when it's needed.
My name is Matt. I am 26 and am in my final year studying my bachelor of music. I am looking to live closer to the city for uni and work purposes. I work in hospitality in bars and at the entertainment centre. I am clean, polite, sociable and reliable. Like going to gigs, meeting new people and also enjoy my quiet time watching TV and beach to relax. Non smoker. Thank you.
My friend Dana and I are looking to move out with some more people towards the end of January to save some money and meet some great people. So a little bit about us... I'm a recent journalism and PR graduate, currently work casual in Milton while gaining some more experience in PR. Dana studies exercise physiology and works two jobs in the CBD in retail and food services so she's a trooper. We both enjoy drinks on the weekend or just after a long day, nachos (or any mexican food really) and kicking back with some Netflix. We're looking for a house close to the city with nearby public transport and a supermarket. Ideally a walkable area like Paddington but we're open to other places. Must be okay with small dogs! My family has 2 and they might be staying over once a month or less. They're friendly inside dogs, one's a mini poodle and the other a cavoodle, and they spend 99% of their time sleeping so shouldn't be a bother. If you're interested send me a message and we'd be happy to meet up :)
We are a working-studying couple in mid 30-40. I'm a Graphic Designer working full-time in Milton (so anything within half an hour trip via public transport to Milton would do). My husband (44) is a student at TAFE and a handyman. I cook about 2-3 time a week, but without poisoning the air with unbearable spice smells though and never leave kitchen dirty after that. We hope to find a place with as considerate, quiet and tidy people as we are. We have no pets, but wouldn't mind if there are in the house (I especially adore cats). One more detail. I'm 155 cm tiny woman and my hubby is an average scale guy, and we don't have too much stuff with us. We are renting a standard spaced room (abt 10 m2) in a shared house now and totally fine with it.
Hi Everyone, I am 26, moved to Brisbane about a year ago due to work. I am originally from Melbourne but I have decided to stay in Brisbane for another couple of years. I am an engineer and work the usual office hours Monday to Friday. My current lease is ending Jan 18ish and naturally I am looking for a new place that I will enjoy living in with housemate/s who I will get along with. Preferably I would like to live with housemates of a similar age (mid to late 20s.) I am hoping to lock in a place for 2017 sooner rather than later. I am a sociable person, always enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network. I would prefer to stay with housemates that are similar to myself i.e. tidy, friendly, reliable and easy going. The type of people that I can have a drink with on the weekend. I don't mind housemates having friends over, just not if they are going to keep me awake in the graveyard hours of a weeknight. I generally like to be busy and productive doing things, very rarely will you find me wasting away in front of the TV. I clean up after myself and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. Although sharehouses, are what they are, I do try give somewhat more of a homely feel about the place. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking up something interesting. I do enjoy cooking, but at the same time kinda cbf cooking for one every night. Would be happy to share cooking with others (love Italian and asian food) I don't own any pets, however, I do like cats and dogs and wouldn't be against living with either. Interests: cooking, keeping active, bike riding, running, exploring and travel, herb garden, markets, new restaurants, reading, keeping busy, doing nothing, beach, nights on the town (not every weekend) I am currently trying to save for a house so would like to cap my rent expenses to around $180ish + bills per week. If you think that we will get along and our requirements match then give me a buzz or shoot through a message.
Hi there! Looking to team up with someone or people to find a place with asap! Or a share house that is ok with having a cat! I work shift work for GOV and have a little white rag doll named Charlie who is adorable! Love music and a good chat! Pretty easy going and respectful of others! Not really sure what else to say so message me if you want to meet up or know anything else :)
Hi guys! I am a second year UQ Psychology student looking for some fun housemates to hopefully become great friends with and share a comfortable environment. I am a friendly and fairly easy going person who enjoys sarcasm, memes and cute cat videos (I love cats). I like to spend most of my time when I am not studying or working watching TV shows, eating and napping (naps are life). I would therefore say I am pretty easy to live with, I am always up for a chat or a cheeky alcoholic beverage however at the same time I will always respect your space and privacy when you need it. I am looking to move in around January, however I can be pretty flexible with dates. So if I sound like someone you would be interested in living with or you just want to ask me some questions feel free to contact me anytime! (would prefer a team up situation if possible)
I am a 27 year old American, living here in Brisbane studying my Masters degree. I am easy going, friendly, tidy, and independent. Looking forward to meeting like minded people in a healthy and happy environment :)
Looking for some new roommates and friends?? Look no further than these two fun-loving gal pals! Danielle and I are in the market for a third roommate to complete our new home. We are still looking for a place and are in the middle of the vigorous process right now! We are relaxed, friendly, clean and always up for a good time; whether that means a good night out or staying in with the fam watching crappy tv, its always a good time! While we love and respect privacy, we are always ready for some beers, bants or late night chats and dnms :) I (Kiana) am coming into my last year of university (nursing), work part-time and play a sport at least once a week. Danielle is a freshly graduated primary school teacher, successfully going into her first year of educating our future! Feel free to swing us a message if you're interested! :)
Quiet, loves animals, busy working bee. Looking for independent living starting in February. Please do not contact me if it is a share house. Thanks
I've been renting for 5 years already, able to keep a place tidy. I'm able to cook, have my own furniture and am not too loud. I study engineering and science at UQ while also working part time. I'm looking for a place close to public transport with sociable and friendly people.
Hey how is it going ! My name is Sebastian, I'm a 23 y/o english student at UQ willing to get in a Master of IT. Currently living in a homestay house but willing to find a closer place to university as I'm staying for 6 months or even 2 years. I'm clean, calmed and outgoing. It would be awesome to find a share house with english speaking mates to improve my language skills but I'm opened to any opportunity.
Hello there. I'm Lenin Jacob from India. I'm 23. I'll be coming to Brisbane on 17th February, as I got admission into UQ. For the initial days, I'll be staying with one of my friends, yet from 25th February, I'll need to live separately. I can only afford a place that is around $140-$160 per week (including all bills). Likewise, I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't have a pet. I have no gender preferences for my flatmate. I could live with both, male or female. Let me know if you're interested in further negotiations. I might be happy to stop for a moment to chat with you.
Hi! My name is Rosie, I'm 21 and I am moving to Brisbane in January 2017 to start studying for a Bachelor of Design. I have been working in a high school Art Department in my hometown (Hobart) for the past 2 years, it was awesome fun but I am keen to experience uni life! I am great to live with because: I always pay my rent/bills on time, I clean up after myself and love being around people but am also fine doing my own thing In my free time I love drawing and making little arty things, relaxing in general, watching Netflix and going to the gym. I'm always up for a chat and love hanging out, but will also need some space to study :) I also love Harry Potter, cats, dogs and most nerdy things
A mate and I are currently looking for a housemate to share a 3 / 4 bedroom place in the Inner Brisbane suburbs, anywhere from West End, to Paddington to Newmarket. We have a few options lined up. We are seeking a young female professional to take up the 3rd room. We are relatively chilled lads from Zimbabwe, both working full time. We have both been in the work force for a while, so are looking for a fairly comfortable house. Enjoy a good party as much as the next person, along with our fair share of chill. Send me a message if you are interested.
Hi, I'm sarah and am looking for somewhere to move into ASAP. I need a furshied room close to the city with ideally a flexiable contract. I've just moved over from the UK on a working holiday and looking to settle in Brisbane. Thanks Sarah
Hi I'm Bek, 21 years old. I work full time as a Paralegal at the moment and am looking for an apartment or house ideally near the city. I don't smoke but I do drink on the occasion, easy going and clean :)
Super friendly, tidy by nature, creative. I want to feel comfortable in my home with my housemates which I hope can feel like family. I love to play and write music, and I love to paint. I work full time running my family coffee shop in the city, so if you love caffeine, I can make a killer coffee. I love animals, so if you have any pets, it's almost a bonus in my books. Not a big partier at all, love quiet nights in, and adventures with friends.
Hey I'm Emily, I'm 19, studying Journalism at Griffith and work a part time job, all weekend, all day along with two internships per week. Besides work and study, I like to read, crafts, go outdoors and also tend to play a lot of video and computer games when uni is finished. So, with my moving in you will possibly gain an Xbox 360 (that looks like R2D2!). I also have a boyfriend that I love to see about 2 to 3 times per week. I am very chill, easy to get along with as well as tidy and respectful of others privacy and I am currently looking to move out of home for the first time.
Hi! My spouse and I just moved to Brisbane from the US (San Francisco, California). We are new to the area and needing a place to live. We are planning to stay for about 1 year (not longer due to visa limitations) and looking to make a 3 - 6 month commitment. We are currently not working but job searching. However, we have been saving for quite some time so we can afford to live comfortably for the next few months while job searching. We are prepared to pay a bond plus a few months rent up front (to secure our place and insure our commitment). We are very active/outdoorsy and do a lot of traveling. Therefore, we are not at home most of the day. We love our personal space but also love a good BBQ around a pool where we can socialize. We love animals and would love to have one as a roommate. We would prefer not to share a bathroom and to have air con.
Hi, Gen and I have currently been living in our 3 bedroom appartment in the city for over 2 years. We met on flat mates.com and have been great mates ever since ! So we are looking to expand our house and move slightly out but still in surrounding suburbs as we spend a lot of our time around Southbank and the city. I have a cat named Theo who is amazing. So I would love to find a house/ appartment with a little courtyard or back yard for him. I also grow my own veggies and would love a bigger area ! A little bit about me, I work full time as a manager in a hair salon. I'm a vegetarian who loves the outdoors ! Gen is a full time student studying her masters, the both of us are going to Europe next July for 5 weeks! We became great friends living together and we found each other on this site so we are looking for a 3rd amigo to join us. We generally like to have a few beers/wine to unwind a stressful day. Both super easy going as long as our new room mate is tidy :) Our lease ends next January the 22nd 2017 so we are looking to move out around those dates Message me if you would like to get together and find a house !
A clean, respectful and a low-maintenance student studying at UQ, and also a tutor. I'm part Japanese and have lived over there, so having manners is like a second nature. A great interest in sport, especially soccer. Up for some general good times. Cheers.
Hi there I'm a med PhD/ neuroscientist (super driven) recently back for the states, to help my folks through a transition. Now it's my turn. (House trained) I read a lot though I'm not really a homebody. I love to hang out, philosophise and have a bit of fun preferably with cool compassionate, empathic, humble, self aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. Life's about being positive and being able to talk to anyone no matter what their perspective but if you dont know who Donald Trump is or think he's a good thing, I'm just not the one for you. Troy

I am a 26 year old young professional working in the Real Estate industry as a Property Manager. I am relocating back to Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast and am looking for somewhere for myself and 2 well behaved outdoor dogs (staffy's). I work 6 days a week and am not a party person. My days consist of early morning walks with my dogs and long days at work. Looking for a professional quiet house hold to live with.
Hi there. i'm a tradesman and plant operator, looking for a relaxed place with chill people. i'm a considerate and clean guy who loves cooking and sharing a meal with his housemates. i work fulltime, 6 nights a week, so would prefer housemates that are a bit more mature, and are past the "party house" stage.... :)
Looking for a male or female to join us in finding an awesome new share-house. We are clean/ considerate people who enjoy each others company but also respect each others privacy. Matt and Sienna are a couple who have been living together for the past year already, and Myrthe joined their share-house shortly after. Sienna has finished a criminology degree and works full time in the city loves cooking and watching movies or tv shows (slash I really hope you watch GOT or new girl). Myrthe is a full time UQ uni student (rocket science/international relations) that works in a fancy restaurant in the city and enjoys wine, travelling (and over analyzing everything about life) Matt is also full time UQ uni student (town planning) who works part time at Industrie. He loves gaming, having 2 to 3 weeks hobbies and then changing them and generally not doing a lot. (we have not included our budget as we think it would be better to discuss this while looking for a place together =) )
Hi Everyone! My name's Mel, I'm 35, originally from Europe. I'm working and also studying. I'm a passionate traveler, vegan, interested in healthy living, yoga. I'm easy-going, and respectful, I enjoy having someone around to chat with at the end of the day, sharing a meal or a glass of wine, but also appreciate privacy. I'm looking for a lovely place in a nice area with own bathroom. :)))
Hi everyone! I am coming to Brisbane for an exchange semester at UQ starting in February 2017 and still looking for accommodation. Originally I am from Austria where I study law and philosophy at the University of Vienna. Since I already spent quite some time abroad I have no problems with adapting to new situations or people and I am always keen to share new experiences. I usually take good care of the place I live in (in terms of cleaning) and I have profound Schnitzel-cooking skills, which I am very willing to prove.
hi! I'm currently a pre-med student at UQ so I mostly would spend my time studying (LOL or trying to) and so I'm pretty quiet as a roommate. However I do like to socialise and am friendly. I'm very clean and tidy but that being said I really do not care if there are a few dirty dishes in the sink (so don't worry if you're a little lazy). I'm interested in 1-2 other students to team up with for share accommodation (especially near greenslopes). Hit me up if you're interested
I am a clean, tidy person, and will respect your private space, but also would love to socialise by watching movies/ TV, playing board games or enjoying a nice household dinner and drinks.
Easy going and active full time worker in the CBD. Looking for outgoing, similarly aged housemates and ultimately a great living environment. Hobbies include sports, beach and travelling.

Hey there, I'm a full time worker seeking somewhere central to call home! There's some shift work so you may not see me pop out during the day sometimes, but I'm definitely up for a chat over a wine (or many). I like to play sports and keep fit, but also make a kickass sour cream brownie. Have lived with flatmates throughout my time at Uni, so no stranger to keeping tidy and respectful. Look forward to meeting you!

I am a nice down to earth guy, and looking forward to Xmas and NY, i would like to find a place and try move before then if possible. I have a car so i would require either on street or off street parking. However i cycle to work. i will chip in with the chores and bills, if you have a great place and you think i might fit please let me know.
Responsible, clean and tidy, full-time worker that enjoys cooking, movies, exercise and friends/family. Easy going, happy to spend time on my own or socialise with others. Shared with siblings all my life, paid board at home and always contributed to shared chores. No allergies or illnesses. Non-smoker. Light drinker.
Suburbs: Auchenflower, Milton, Red Hill, Paddington, Bardon City/Spring Hill/Petrie Terrace Looking for: *Team up* I have the furniture and appliances to fill my bedroom and most living areas (minus a dining setting), you would really only need to furnish your own room. Move Date: February I am currently renting cheaply with no lease so have no urgency. Currently very busy at work and going away a lot. Going overseas from mid-dec to mid-jan then straight into a field trip for work when i get back. The New Pad: I am not interested in sharing a room. Prefer my own bathroom/ensuite. Want off street parking. Non-smoking household. Ideally a nice 2 or 3 bedroom apartment, in a secure building/secure parking with some facilities (i.e. pool, gym etc.) About Me: Full time professional, go away for work usually once a month, clean and tidy, happy and friendly, honest and independent, single, no pets, no kids. I also have incredibly varied interests and love trying new things so it's pretty likely we will find some common ground. I enjoy both social time and private time. About You: Male/female/any sexual orientation, it really doesn't stress me. No Couples. Similar age/stage of life as I would love to have housemate/s that become my friends. Employed, with an interest in longer term options. Not interested in backpackers, short-term stays, or young uni students (i.e. straight from school and not stable/independent). I want a home that we can all trust in the stability of all its occupants to be able to cover their rent and bills.
***Update*** I have now included that my lease at the current place doesn't end until February '17. Also, I am only looking for a room with own bathroom. Hi my name is Johnny. I have no pets and pay rent and bills on time. I work in a day surgery in an eye clinic as an instrument technician. I am seeking a furnished house or apartment to share with a responsible and mature individual with their own active lifestyle. No furniture to bring except some bedroom units. I enjoy my own space but can easily be sociable on regular occasions. I wouldn't mind teaming up too and prefer having an undercover car space, or off-street parking. Thought I might add a few odd bits here about myself as a means of informing suitability - My favourite rock and roll band is a toss-up between Wilco, Radiohead, and Blur. My favourite male singer/songwriter is Tom Waits and my favourite female singer/songwriter is Neko Case. My favourite food is pasta with anything! EXCEPT veal or kangaroo meat. I am conscious of my eating habits and try to minimise consumption of meat with the goal of cutting it out of my diet altogether. The ideal way to contact me is through the Flatmates website or mobile phone. Regards, johnny
I'm really easy to get along with, currently working as a waitress and studying. From the Redlands but wanting to find someone to move into an apartment in the city with. I love going out and i'm good fun so looking for similar house mates!
I'm a 25 year old Dietitian from Brissy who likes keeping fit and is a sucker for cheese, wine and corny TV series eg The Bachelor 🙈. I'm clean and respectful but would prefer a roomie who doesn't hide in their room all the time and enjoys being social. I can bring to the house a Netflix subscription, a mean chocolate brownie recipe, couches, fridge, TV and kitchen supplies if needed 😎
