We are a working-studying couple in mid 30-40. I'm a Graphic Designer working full-time in Milton (so anything within half an hour trip via public transport to Milton would do). My husband (44) is a student at TAFE and a handyman. I cook about 2-3 time a week, but without poisoning the air with unbearable spice smells though and never leave kitchen dirty after that. We hope to find a place with as considerate, quiet and tidy people as we are. We have no pets, but wouldn't mind if there are in the house (I especially adore cats). One more detail. I'm 155 cm tiny woman and my hubby is an average scale guy, and we don't have too much stuff with us. We are renting a standard spaced room (abt 10 m2) in a shared house now and totally fine with it.
Hi Everyone, I am 26, moved to Brisbane about a year ago due to work. I am originally from Melbourne but I have decided to stay in Brisbane for another couple of years. I am an engineer and work the usual office hours Monday to Friday. My current lease is ending Jan 18ish and naturally I am looking for a new place that I will enjoy living in with housemate/s who I will get along with. Preferably I would like to live with housemates of a similar age (mid to late 20s.) I am hoping to lock in a place for 2017 sooner rather than later. I am a sociable person, always enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network. I would prefer to stay with housemates that are similar to myself i.e. tidy, friendly, reliable and easy going. The type of people that I can have a drink with on the weekend. I don't mind housemates having friends over, just not if they are going to keep me awake in the graveyard hours of a weeknight. I generally like to be busy and productive doing things, very rarely will you find me wasting away in front of the TV. I clean up after myself and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. Although sharehouses, are what they are, I do try give somewhat more of a homely feel about the place. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking up something interesting. I do enjoy cooking, but at the same time kinda cbf cooking for one every night. Would be happy to share cooking with others (love Italian and asian food) I don't own any pets, however, I do like cats and dogs and wouldn't be against living with either. Interests: cooking, keeping active, bike riding, running, exploring and travel, herb garden, markets, new restaurants, reading, keeping busy, doing nothing, beach, nights on the town (not every weekend) I am currently trying to save for a house so would like to cap my rent expenses to around $180ish + bills per week. If you think that we will get along and our requirements match then give me a buzz or shoot through a message.
Hi, we are a lovely couple in our early thirties. I am a full time student doing a Master Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at UQ, St. Lucia Campus. My partner works at an Italian restaurant in the CBD. We are friendly and easy going. We are looking for a shared house with like minded people preferably in West End/South Bank/Milton to move in around last week of January. Please text me if you are looking for the same. Cheers, Mong
Professional male, working in the Brisbane CBD. Friendly, social type. I keep my space tidy and enjoy others who do the same. Often out of an evening, when I'm at home enjoy a game or some Netflix, or heading to the gym. Ideally looking at a 6-12 month stay. Feel free to contact me if you would like to know more!
I'm Jack! currently living in Kenmore and looking for a place in or around the city to live for a minimum of 3 months. I'm self employed and usually out of the house for at least 5 hours a day. I like to stay pretty active, love getting out of the house on little adventures but at the same time love just chilling in the house watching a movie or playing some video games. I'm generally out and about all weekend. I'm a closet nerd and a massive fan of all sports. I cook all my own meals but happy to have a couple of shared dinners a week. I'm always down for a chat, movie, workout, or a trip down the pub! Looking to move in on the 10th of jan but happy to move in earlier. Cheers!
Prefer to share with only 1-other person and have own bathroom. I'm a minimalist who likes to live without clutter. I am quiet, respectful of others people's property and privacy. Non-smoker, non-musician, no children and have no pets. I'm prefer the quiet life and am not a party animal. Love dogs but allergic to cats. Professional freelance graphic designer who works occasionally from home. Looking to study chemistry in 2017. I like cycling and need storage for two bikes. I also enjoy travelling and hiking. It'd be nice to share with a like-minded person who values good health and wellbeing.
International Student from Dubai starting at UQ in 2017 (Environmental Management). I'm super tidy and clean, and pretty decent at cooking too. Easy going, and always ready to help a friend out!
I'm not moving until January. I currently work fulltime at Mount Coot-tha and I've been living in Taringa for the past 3 years. I have my own communal appliances and furniture to bring with me if needed. I enjoy eating out, going out, having a drink after work, binge watching netflix and going for runs along the river. I'd need to move mid-January, ideally looking to stay around Toowong/Taringa (train line / bus line), $160-180 - but pretty flexible. Shoot me a message if you would be interested in starting a new place or if you need a spot filled and we can grab a coffee - Thanks!
Hi there! Looking to team up with someone or people to find a place with asap! Or a share house that is ok with having a cat! I work shift work for GOV and have a little white rag doll named Charlie who is adorable! Love music and a good chat! Pretty easy going and respectful of others! Not really sure what else to say so message me if you want to meet up or know anything else :)
Hey guys! Thanks for taking time out to read my profile 😊 Ive just started as Bartender at Bavarian Beer cafe in the city & have just moved here. I'm usually pretty quiet love to read and write, sleep most days and am up fairly late at night. I would need someone that is either a shift worker like myself or someone that is okay with that. I've just moved from the gold coast and have left my party life behind so no major raves will be going on when you get home from work. 🖒 I loveeeee to cook like lovelovee, I cant drive or swim/ do anything remotely adult like other than feed myself, work and pay my bills. 😂 I'm super keen to even find a place with a couple of genuine down to earth people as I have a heap of furniture in storage. But if not thats perfectly fine! I'm sincerely trying to revamp my life for the better and meet new people around here. Message me if you would like to chat/ have anything you think would be suitable for me ☺
Hi guys! I am a second year UQ Psychology student looking for some fun housemates to hopefully become great friends with and share a comfortable environment. I am a friendly and fairly easy going person who enjoys sarcasm, memes and cute cat videos (I love cats). I like to spend most of my time when I am not studying or working watching TV shows, eating and napping (naps are life). I would therefore say I am pretty easy to live with, I am always up for a chat or a cheeky alcoholic beverage however at the same time I will always respect your space and privacy when you need it. I am looking to move in around January, however I can be pretty flexible with dates. So if I sound like someone you would be interested in living with or you just want to ask me some questions feel free to contact me anytime! (would prefer a team up situation if possible)
I'm currently looking for a room to rent in the surrounding suburbs of the CBD The hardest part is having a dog with me. If anyone has a place that is pet friendly please let me know. She will melt your heart, doesn't smell, loves attention. She normally just sleeps around when I'm not home. I Live an active lifestyle and walk her a lot also. I work in a bike shop and ride my bike a lot, so I spend a lot of time relaxing/resting in my spare time, but I have many hobbies and interests so enjoy being social also. I'm 27, and have lived in many share houses before so I know the general run down and expectations. I have a full time job, have bond and happy to add a little ontop of that for "pet bond". Preferably tall fences. Please if anyone has a room or have suitable for my dog and I let me know asap. Thank you
I am a postgrad medical student studying in UQ and am currently actively looking for a place closer to the hospitals. I am mostly quiet keeping to himself but sociable when things are happening. Normally I don't party. Never did drugs. Don't smoke. I am also tidy and cleans up after himself. I work as a casual online tutor with a lot of savings - enough to last me till I graduate in 3 more years and start being an intern, so rents and bills are never a problem. I also have my own car, so parking is essential (can be on or off street).
Student looking for a quiet place Likes: Cats, dogs, exercising, archery, food, games, sleep. Good at: paying bills on time, cleaning up after myself, budgeting Can at maximum pay up to 150 pw rent but would prefer staying under that (wouldn't we all?) Note: Current lease runs out 6/1/17 and I am going to UQ @ St. Lucia.
I am a 27 year old American, living here in Brisbane studying my Masters degree. I am easy going, friendly, tidy, and independent. Looking forward to meeting like minded people in a healthy and happy environment :)

Ive recently backpacked Europe for 6 months and love getting to know people from all over the place. Im looking for fun friendly and motivated housemates who like to keep the place clean, interact with each other and want to make the place a home and not just a sharehouse. Male or Female doesnt matter aslong as we all get along well and respect each others privacy and what not while in the house. Hi guys, Just moved back to Brisbane after living up north for 3 years I'm currently living in a tiny place with my mum in logan, so you can imagine how desperate I am for a new place! I work full time, 8-6 mon-sat in toowong, so ill be out of your way! I'm super relaxed and don't mind a beer or two after work. I'm clean and respectful and would love to move in with people who are like minded, positive and can have a laugh with.
I'm an easy going 20 year old who loves animals. I study beauty therapy in Toowong and also have my own business working as a hair and makeup artist. I have a quiet indoor cat who is rarely seen or heard. Perks of living with me include free makeup when I'm bored, cute cat cuddles and I cook, clean and am easy to live with. Looking to move into a share house with similar likeminded people who don't mind the occasional drink.
Looking for some new roommates and friends?? Look no further than these two fun-loving gal pals! Danielle and I are in the market for a third roommate to complete our new home. We are still looking for a place and are in the middle of the vigorous process right now! We are relaxed, friendly, clean and always up for a good time; whether that means a good night out or staying in with the fam watching crappy tv, its always a good time! While we love and respect privacy, we are always ready for some beers, bants or late night chats and dnms :) I (Kiana) am coming into my last year of university (nursing), work part-time and play a sport at least once a week. Danielle is a freshly graduated primary school teacher, successfully going into her first year of educating our future! Feel free to swing us a message if you're interested! :)
I am sociable, clean, outgoing, love travelling and animals (I don't have any, but happy to leave with them). I am rarely home as I work long hours during the week and spend most of the weekends out. I have recently sold my house and am looking to flat with some cool people before I make my next step (so maximum time flatting would probably be 6 months). I am preferably after a flatshare (no room shares) and would like a separate bathroom.
Quiet, loves animals, busy working bee. Looking for independent living starting in February. Please do not contact me if it is a share house. Thanks
Hello, my name is Sophie. I am from France (born in the West Indies). I come for a few months (for the moment) in Brisbane to improve my english...and my life (VWH)! I will looking for a job as soon as possible. I am a friendly, easy-going person who respects other people. I am able to be social yet have my own space. If you offer, I am ok for swap the rent for doing a few hours cooking and cleaning per week. I like a clean space and house. I like pets, specially lovely dogs.
Im a music student, super social and easy going! Cleanliness and communication are important to me when looking for a room mate. Almost always up for meeting new people :)
I'm a quiet person who likes puzzles, reading and studying. I'm a huge pop culture nerd. I am a person who loves to hang out with friends and I make friends quickly so feel free to hang out with me or if you are a person who likes company (parties or chill outs) I'm cool.
I've been renting for 5 years already, able to keep a place tidy. I'm able to cook, have my own furniture and am not too loud. I study engineering and science at UQ while also working part time. I'm looking for a place close to public transport with sociable and friendly people.
Hey how is it going ! My name is Sebastian, I'm a 23 y/o english student at UQ willing to get in a Master of IT. Currently living in a homestay house but willing to find a closer place to university as I'm staying for 6 months or even 2 years. I'm clean, calmed and outgoing. It would be awesome to find a share house with english speaking mates to improve my language skills but I'm opened to any opportunity.
I'm a fun, creative, active girl looking for a fresh start (just ended a 6-year relationship). I'm a musician and would like to have either a spare room or living area I could set up as a studio. I work (and stay) Friday - Sunday down the Gold Coast as a live sound engineer and teach music lessons from my home studio two afternoons per week. I ride a motorbike and would require an off-street area to park it. Looking for social flatmates who enjoy catching up over a glass of wine at the end of the day, doing the odd "family" dinner or movie & games nights. That said, I certainly respect privacy and personal space. I'm not a clean freak, but I am neat and tidy - especially in the kitchen and communal areas. Excited to find and meet my new flatmates!
Hello there. I'm Lenin Jacob from India. I'm 23. I'll be coming to Brisbane on 17th February, as I got admission into UQ. For the initial days, I'll be staying with one of my friends, yet from 25th February, I'll need to live separately. I can only afford a place that is around $140-$160 per week (including all bills). Likewise, I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't have a pet. I have no gender preferences for my flatmate. I could live with both, male or female. Let me know if you're interested in further negotiations. I might be happy to stop for a moment to chat with you.
Hi! My name is Rosie, I'm 21 and I am moving to Brisbane in January 2017 to start studying for a Bachelor of Design. I have been working in a high school Art Department in my hometown (Hobart) for the past 2 years, it was awesome fun but I am keen to experience uni life! I am great to live with because: I always pay my rent/bills on time, I clean up after myself and love being around people but am also fine doing my own thing In my free time I love drawing and making little arty things, relaxing in general, watching Netflix and going to the gym. I'm always up for a chat and love hanging out, but will also need some space to study :) I also love Harry Potter, cats, dogs and most nerdy things
I'm moving to the Southside in 2017, and I work as a vet. I have a beautiful rough collie named Lady (like Lassie). I work long hours so I often take her to work with me. I'm social but not a party animal. I'm friendly, pretty easy going and tidy. If you have any questions please don't hesitate! :)
Howdy. I'm a third-year student studying a BA (writing ext. major) at UQ. I'm an avid reader and wordsmith, I publish zines and comics, and I volunteer for community groups as well as organise events. I'm usually pretty busy, so I'm looking for a quiet household where housemates chill at home and go out to party. somewhere where housemates share a healthy level of tidiness that isn't casual grubbiness or enforced tidiness. I need need need housemates who like chilling out in communal spaces but understand, also, when a housemate wants to be alone. I... - Have furniture: bookcase, cabinet, desk, drawer, couch I sleep on (would like to buy proper bed), side table, 2x coffee tables, 5x odd table chairs. - Require storage space. - Am allergic to cats and dogs. - Love vegetarian and vegan food, and don't eat much meat (but still do). - Am attracted to men, but don't identify as one. - Like to be camp sometimes.
A mate and I are currently looking for a housemate to share a 3 / 4 bedroom place in the Inner Brisbane suburbs, anywhere from West End, to Paddington to Newmarket. We have a few options lined up. We are seeking a young female professional to take up the 3rd room. We are relatively chilled lads from Zimbabwe, both working full time. We have both been in the work force for a while, so are looking for a fairly comfortable house. Enjoy a good party as much as the next person, along with our fair share of chill. Send me a message if you are interested.
Hey I'm Simon Im 34 and i am looking for a place preferably with a yard to share for me and my greyhound Enzo. I am a full time shift worker in the railway and I'm easy going and friendly, Enzo is an outdoor dog he's very laid back, likes to lounge around all day and is well behaved he very rarely barks at anything and is great with other people and other dogs (not a fan of cats though). looking to share with fun, social, easy going people who like animals
Hey! I'm an international student from India, doing my Masters at UQ. Right now I'm on holiday at home, but I will be back in February. I'm just on here early to put my feelers out so that moving is easier for me when I get back :) I enjoy a beer every now and then, and spend most of my time on youtube. I'm pretty sociable (not much of a partier tho), and I'm super neat and friendly! I usually spend all day at uni, so I'd probably rarely be home. I also love animals, and would love to live in a house with a pet, but I'm super allergic to cats and dogs (it's the bane of my existence), so if you do have a fur baby, it's probably best I don't move in :( I love watching movies/tv with other people so if you're into that kinda thing, it'd be great! I'll watch pretty much anything (except old kung fu/wild west movies). If you think you'll have an availability by mid-February, please contact me so we can get to know each other! Thanks :)
Looking for a person to start a share house with me and my current housemate :) I'm an undergraduate student in my second year of Creative Industries at QUT, very friendly and sociable and happy to share cooking and expenses. I'm not a big party animal however I do like to have a glass of wine with dinner occasionally and go out sometimes on the weekends. I work most nights and am around a bit during the day. Jayme works full time hours but not regular, she's around a little bit and is super fun. She does like to go out on weekends and have a lot of fun. So whatever you're into is cool :) Thanks , Sam
Hi there! My current lease expires at the end of December and I'm going on a short holiday in January so I'm looking to move into a new place by mid-Dec. I'm an easy-going, friendly, and tidy housemate. Most of my time at home is spent relaxing, but I'm a student at UQ and work in hospitality so I'm not at home all day, every day. I'm not a party animal, but I do have a social life (haha) and enjoy getting together for a couple of drinks every now and then. If you've got any questions, please ask away! :)
"She's sweet. Funny, open. A really pleasant roommate." - Jemima, 2014* "Witty banter for days. Mostly at her own expense." - Arnold, 2013* "Looks like it's going to rain. Better bring your washing in" - Mum, 2016* *All quotes are true, names have been changed, but the people are real, although they may or may not have said these things loosely during off the record conversations. Happy to pay up to $250 dollar bills a week for: A private room of my own in a nice relatively new or renovated place with a yard/area appropriate for playing fetch. Ideally, I'd prefer my own bathroom. Happy to share a bathroom if it's with one other clean person. Sorry, but this gal is too old to share a bathroom with 2+ people or a house with 4+:) Learn a bit more about me below. And, ya know, hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan, this is(n't) Stan. What makes me great to live with? Well... I rinse out the chux when I've finished cleaning the dishes that I haven't left sitting on the sink for 1+ days. I love cooking for others and sitting down to a nice meal with glass of red. Sometimes the glass of red is the nice meal. Don't judge. I believe pretty firmly that garlic bread is life. Don't worry, I'm not a total slob-kebob. I meal prep, eat relatively clean and go to the gym in the hopes that someday I will have that #summerbod everyone keeps going on about. Plus it supposedly prolongs life. Fun fact: I'm a decent human who understands the concept of personal space so won't go looking through your room/things. Funner fact: This is probably because I'm too lazy and would much rather watch Netflix. Funniest fact: Funner isn't a word. Saving the best bit for last - I have a sidekick by the name of Duke Nukem; a nearly 2 yr old teeny 3kg mini fox x pinscher rescue pup who is a ball of energy one moment and passed out the next. He's quiet, but has barked at the wind (or ghosts) once or twice. He can also hop 3-4 feet in the air, generally because he's curious to see what's on your dinner plate on the table. He means well and I'm sure you'll love him nearly as much as he'll love you. We're a rad pair looking for equally, if not more so, rad people to make a home with in the new year. I know I said 2016 was gonna be my year, but I've got a reeeeeally good feeling about 2017. What makes you so great to live with? Well... I'm hoping you're a positive / emotionally stable person, who prides yourself on paying bills before they're due, are kind and laid back 90% of the time, are down for a good laugh and great conversation, and if you eat my food you really mean it when you say you'll replace it. Bonus points if you've got a pooch of your own who is open to making a new puppy pal. If ever you're out of town, I'm happy to feed and love the little puppa, and I hope if ever I'm out of town, you'll do the same :)
Hi, I'm sarah and am looking for somewhere to move into ASAP. I need a furshied room close to the city with ideally a flexiable contract. I've just moved over from the UK on a working holiday and looking to settle in Brisbane. Thanks Sarah
Hello! We are a couple (Australian and American) who have been living in the USA for the past few months. We are looking for somewhere awesome to move into in early January!!! We really want to make friends in our new house as we are leaving a lot of ours behind here in Tallahassee. Any orientations, preferences, or identities are a-okay with us, please let us know so we can accomodate your wishes :) We like a beer, a glass of wine, and cooking. We aren't huge partiers, so we are looking for housemates who are just down to chill, watch an episode of something or play some board games. We no longer smoke but if you do, it's not a deal breaker for us. While we are health conscious, we are not vegetarian or vegan (I'm slowly making the transition) but if you are, please let us know so we can make sure we respect your kitchen and food area :) We do own a very friendly small-medium dog (a Kelpie mix named Chia) who is currently at her grandparent's place. She is a true outside dog and prefers to stay outdoors most of the time unless the weather is really bad. Ideally we would like a space with a backyard that accepts pets or already has pets as she gets along really well with other dogs, but we understand it's difficult. She gets very spoiled there so it's not an issue if you do don't allow animals. I'm a hospitality veteran and Mike works in software development so he uses his computers a lot. He will probably also pick up a casual job in hospo or retail. I am also studying Journalism online and I'm in my final stages, so that keeps me pretty busy when I'm not working. I hope to start a placement soon after I graduate, so I'll be out a lot. I am more than happy to pay upfront for the bond and four weeks rent (inc. utilities) if you are interested in taking us. Since we are coming back from the States we have no furniture at all; if you're moving and need to get rid of yours, please let us know! Even just a bed would be a great help. We look forward to meeting you :) Mike and Tayla
Full-time professional, fit, healthy, clean and tidy, animal friendly, studying part-time. Prefer own bathroom and car park in a new/near new complex within 5km of the city. Pool would be a bonus!
Driving from Melbourne is exhausting, looking for a place to re-engergise... I work fulltime. Some days, I work from home. I'm also finishing off my engineering degree. I love getting outdoors/on the water and will most weekends. During the week, things are chill. A gym session, or cheeky wine and netflix, that sort of thing.. I prefer the dynamic of a sharehouse, so I want to keep it going with 2-4 other people. Sneaky drinks or cooking dinner together seems like a obvious thing to do for a happy home. Desides having rad housemates, other important things are single car worth of garage space for my windsurfing gear and other stuff, and proximity to the hills, the bay and/or the gym. Look forward to hearing from you soon!
Hi, I`m Ali and have recently moved to Brisbane. I'm looking to move into a sharehouse with some cool housemates that will make the transition easier. I`ll be searching for a job ( I`m a chemical engineer.) in the first months and currently cannot be under a long contract. Thank you for reading this.
Hi I'm Bek, 21 years old. I work full time as a Paralegal at the moment and am looking for an apartment or house ideally near the city. I don't smoke but I do drink on the occasion, easy going and clean :)
Super friendly, tidy by nature, creative. I want to feel comfortable in my home with my housemates which I hope can feel like family. I love to play and write music, and I love to paint. I work full time running my family coffee shop in the city, so if you love caffeine, I can make a killer coffee. I love animals, so if you have any pets, it's almost a bonus in my books. Not a big partier at all, love quiet nights in, and adventures with friends.
I'm in my final stages of my Engineering degree, looking for a place to move out to. I've lived in Brisbane most of my life, so know my way around, and I seem to enjoy reading and gaming (the non-gambling variety). I am a bit of an introvert, but generally get along with most people.
I'm a graduate Linguist working Part-time the in CBD who is returning to full-time uni once again! I'm a great cook, love the gym, vegan, musician and an overall chilled out person. I'm happy to live with singles, couples, kids, pets, smokers [though I am not one], everyone and everyone as long as we all get along!
I am a mature professional from the UK currently on a career break, while completing some studies. I am private and considerate individual and am looking for quiet accommodation preferably with own bathroom. I enjoy music, watching sport and digital photography.
Hey! We're a bunch of UQ undergrads who are looking for a 4th person to live with next year, close to uni and public transport. We don't party too much (getting close to finishing our degrees so studying takes up most of our lives) but we're always up for some sneaky drinks and we do like the bachelorette (rip courtney) and cool dog group and gymming and donald trump memes. Between the three of us, we already have plenty of the furniture a house needs (from previous sharehouses), but we'll always welcome any fab decor additions such as nice fake plants or funky rugs, but yes hit us up if you're interested! We would prefer to move after new years, but we're all really flexible and we can always sort something that'll suit everyone :)
Easy going, quiet, clean, responsible. Happy to take a longer lease for the right place
Hi, I’m a creative person who dabbles in Photography and Graphic Design. I’m currently living on the Gold Coast looking to migrate to Brisbane in early 2017 to commence studying Entertainment Business Management at JMC Academy in February. I’m open-minded, easy going, respectful and reliable. My interests include watching TV shows (such as: Game of Thrones, Mr Robot, Bob’s Burgers, The Office), music (Nirvana, Parkway Drive, The Smith Street Band etc etc) and films/documentaries like Pulp Fiction, Harry Potter, Blackfish and anything by David Attenborough. I go out to live music gigs fairly often, more than I go out to clubs etc. Not a big party animal however I do enjoy sneaky beverages and good old backyard drinking sessions. I enjoying meeting people of all walks of life and am searching for like-minded people to call somewhere home with. If I sound like a stranger you’d wanna live and become mates with or just wanna suss me out, let me know!
Currently living in the Redlands and looking for a change in scenery. I'm Hoping to find a good roommate or group of people who are fun to be around, fairly tidy and don't mind a drink or two on the weekends. I work full time throughout the week and leave early in the morning. Im clean and tidy and although I like to hang out and chat with the people in my household, I know when to give each their own space. If you don't mind the house being filled with good tunes and inside jokes then send us a message.
I keep mostly to myself but I am still very sociable and friendly. Taking a break from full time work as I will be studying law next year at Griffith Nathan campus. I enjoy motorbiking, bush walking, gaming and hanging out with friends.
