Hi! I'm an international student from Indonesia and looking for a furnished room and preferably for long-term rent. I consider myself to be a sociable, very adaptable person and clean housemate. I enjoy nights in at home reading books or watching movies and playing badminton in my spare time. However, I also love having casual chats over a dinner with my housemate(s).
Hey everyone my name is Travis and I am a 20 year old American from Winston-Salem, NC, who coming to study on exchange this semester at Melbourne Uni. I am a relaxed and sociable guy who can keep a clean room who is easy to get along with. I enjoy almost any sports and do play my fair share of video games but most of all I can't wait to explore Melbourne. If you decide to message me just know you are getting a level-headed and respectful guy who can respect your independence but also be a fun guy to have some drinks with. Anyways thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you!
Hi all, my housemate is moving interstate meaning that I either need a new place to stay or a team up! I study music management full time and also work part time (meaning no problemos with the rent), and in my limited spare time I like to relax or go have a good night out. I'm a fairly chill person and won't invade your space or me time, but I'm also down for being social and having a drink with my roomies. I come with bedroom furniture and a pretty nifty blender too.
Hi there, I'm Jacinta - a 25 year old law student. I'm super easygoing and respectful of other people's space but I'm also a friendly/bubbly person and love a great chat (especially over wine). I've lived in quite a few share houses so I have a lot of experience living with other people. I'm vegetarian and so tend to do quite a bit of my own cooking (but am always happy to make vego food for others if they're interested!). I'm currently doing a language course in Spain after an exchange in London, and will be back in Melbourne from the beginning of July (although can begin paying rent earlier if necessary). If this sounds like I'd make a good fit for your place let me know - contact via flatmates.com :) Looking forward to hearing from you!
Im Starting my studies in Uni Melb in July 17 and looking to find a place to stay while i study in Melbourne. Singaporean Male who is very open-minded and always looking to learn new things from meeting new people. very easy going and enjoys reading, football(soccer), playing games and generally hanging out and engaging conversations.
Hi, I am a vet nurse and her pooch looking for a place to call home. Like my dog I'm a bit of a forever puppy, that being said I work hard and that includes longish hours 4 days a week. I'm 28 and live a pretty clean lifestyle. I'm not apposed to hanging out/a movie marathon with a glass of wine/beer or whatever, but also more than happy to entertain myself if you are more on the private side. My dog 5yo dog absolutely adores people, he is a big boy so that may not be everybody's cup of tea but he will do his utmost to make you fall in love with him (It's not hard), don't worry though he knows he's not a lap dog! I am very open minded and accepting and looking to share a home with like minded people. I'm looking at a longer term stay depending on how suitable the situation is. I am looking for a place to call home.
I am super excited to be relocating to Melbourne next month to start a new job. I am a hospitality professional, and work sporadic hours, which is why I would prefer a studio or 1 bed flat. I would ideally love to live in the Brunswick area to be close to people I know, but I will be working in the city, so any where between the city and Brunswick would be amazing. It would be incredible to be able to move into my own place when I arrive, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you can help!
Hello, My name is Ashok Meghwal, 29 yrs old, Indian. I am coming to Hawthorn campus of the Swinburne University of Technology to pursue my PhD. I am a very easy going and friendly person. I like to travel to new places and like to cook, watch movies and play cricket and volleyball. I am very much focused on my work and like to keep things and stuff clean always. I did my masters from Germany and spent some time in the Netherlands as well. So, have the awesome experience of living in the multi-cultural environment. I will be coming to Melbourne on 13th August 2017. Looking forward to finding awesome flatmates. Cheers.
I'm not very fussy at all. Very relaxed and easy going. I enjoy a good bevvie or two in the arvo with friends and sitting down to enjoy a meal together every now and then. I work in hospo, so am also a social person and do enjoy a good night out on the regular. I study full time at the University of Melbourne, so would suit living in a sharehouse with other students around my age.
Hello! 23/M from Essex, England. Starting full time work in Melbourne in August. Enjoy my gym/fitness to balance out the beers, live music and love my sport - Football, Cricket and F1. AFL looks promising, but bear with me whilst I learn the rules. Other than that, it's the standard relaxed life with a few video games. My job requires me to have a criminal record check - so you know I wont steal from you - top housemate material, right? Reasonably house trained and understand the concept of cleaning up. I promise I'll pay all my bills bang on time because debt makes me feel uncomfortable. Sounds great? Looking for a place for 6 months plus if possible
I'm a student at Melbourne Uni studying Masters of Physics, which takes up most of my time. I'm great with housework. My favourite things to do are settle down with a good book, mindlessly scroll the interwebs, and chatting with friends. I enjoy my music and you will hear me singing/playing the violin (but not in the middle of the night). I also speak mostly fluent Mandarin. I will respect your privacy. Best wishes :)
I'm 32yrs French boy and I'm just arrived 2 weeks ago in Australia, Melbourne and I will start in a school ("impact") for 1 or 2 months to improve my english. So I'm looking for an appartement during my formation an to meet new peoples... :)
Hello, I'm from Meghalaya, India and I'm looking forward to relocate to Melbourne as I'll be attending the University of Melbourne for my undergrad course. I'm very friendly, helpful and fun to talk to. I like to keep my rooms super tidy and clean. I do not smoke or drink. I respect others' privacy and I'll not meddle into their private matters. Also, I like trying new gadgets, reading books and travelling a lot. I'll always be up for any kind of help required and I'm very much hoping to have cross country flatmates so that we'd be able to exchange each others' culture and learn new things. Hope to see you soon my future roommates :)
Hello! After living with a group of great friends in Rosanna for a few years, it's time for a change (aka they're moving back in with the 'rents so they can save for a house deposit #millenialcurse). The silver lining here is that I'm taking this opportunity to move closer to work! I work at Melbourne Uni full-time, and will also be studying there part-time next semester. I have a Masters degree in Literature, so will come with a solid (if not eclectic) collection of books and can provide hours of conversation if books/film/tv is your thing. I love gin, makeup, eating food that I don't have to cook, and buying different editions of books I already own because the cover art is pretty. I love my current living situation, so would be keen on replicating that as closely as possible. That means becoming fast friends with my potential housemates (that's you!) and being able to come home to a group of people that I adore. We share food staples (milk, eggs, flour, sugar, etc, etc) and cleaning products, but everything else we keep separate. I think this system works a treat, so ideally my new housemates would agree. I'm looking for 3-4 housemates around my age, who work full-time, and who are as friendly as I am but who also understand the need for quiet/Netflix time every now and again. I love to socialise and hang with friends, but rarely bring the party back to my place, so your sleep is almost guaranteed to be uninterrupted. Having said that my goodness I flipping love house parties so would be totally fine if you wanted to host one on the odd occasion. I've also gotten used to the glorious invention that is a dishwasher, so would be keen on a relatively new place that has schmick, modern ammenities. I'm all for gender balance too! Having grown up in a house full of women, living with men is a genuine novelty for me. If the stars align, our new household will have 2 lovely ladies and two gentlemen occupying it. I'm a cis woman, but I'm also LGBTQI+ friendly (I hope I got the acronym right). I'm not opposed to sharing with a couple, as long as I have another single buddy to keep the balance. For fun I take pole dancing lessons, go to the movies, spend time with friends, and have performed in the odd amateur musical from time to time. You can expect sweet shower-renditions of showtunes if I'm feeling brave. I don't have very much house stuff beyond the furniture in my current bedroom, and I'm keen to avoid having to buy anything, so ideally one or more of my future housies will be able to provide luxury items like a washing machine and a fridge. My current lease is up in early November, so I'd be keen on having a place locked in by mid-late October. Anywhere in/close to Parkville would be amazing - I'm determined to find somewhere walking-distance to work so I can ditch my monthly Myki fee! If any of this sounds appealing to you, get in touch! I'm so excited to welcome a new bunch of awesome people into my life and hope you feel likewise after reading this very long explanation of who I am. Speak soon!
Hey! I'm Mariko. I work full-time as an Online Content Specialist. I keep it low-key Monday/Friday but always up for a cheeky vino and go out on the weekends. Love cooking, walking adventures and showing you hilarious things I found on the internet. I come with a one-eyed cat called Mike. He's very well-behaved and comes with good references (he doesn't claw stuff, etc). Ideally I'd like a place on the GF, or a house. He usually spends his time outdoors, which means no gross kitty litter.
Canadian moving to Melbourne. Clean and considerate, likes to socialize, particularily over a bottle of wine (or two) after a long day. Working professional in the arch. and design industry, looking forward to getting out and seeing the city.
I'm a PhD student at RMIT University. I wish to move to a suburb close to the city. I am out going, social and love to make friends and socialize. I like partying and social gatherings. I am tidy and always organized.
Hi, my name is Vicky! I am 26 year old Japanese female who works in the city. I am looking for a short term private room where close to Melbourne city. Anywhere less than 10km from the city would be perfect but not west side please! I will be able to stay in the house/flat for 3 months and half as I need to go back to my country in late November. I prefer to move to a place in very early August but it is flexible! A little bit of my self. I am easy going, happy, friendly, tidy, honest, and respectful. I like spending time with friends and have good laughs though I also love "Me time". Party out not in! I have lived in sharehouses last two years so I reckon I am well house trained myself. I dont mind my future housemates' gender and nationarities. I love meeting new people from all over the world! Looking forward hearing from you soon :D Vicky x
Hello, my name is Frauke and I am from Berlin, Germany. I will spend a semester in Melbourne to study International Business at Deakin University. Here in Berlin I have lived in shared flats for the past 7 years so I definitely know what it means to live with other people. In my freetime i enjoy going to concerts, festivals, bars, meeting new people or just nice conversations over a great cup of coffee. For the past 3 years I have been working part-time at a concert venue as a barmaid and I would love to do that in Melbourne as well. When it comes to living with other people I think I am very easy-going. I enjoy having a beer with my flatmates but I find respecting each other's privacy important as well. And as long as no one is homophobic, racist or sexist I think we will get along very well:)
