My name is Jeroen, 24 springs young. I arrived in Canberra 4 weeks ago and have been living in the hostel since. I came here to do my internship at the Embassy of the Netherlands. Although the hostel is far from perfect, the one thing I like is that it's a 'shared' house. I've been meeting people from Botswana to South-Korea. Back home (in Amsterdam) I used to live with roommates, and that's what I'm looking for in a place here. Sooo, like I said, I'll be working 40 hours a week, but I do like my beer after a hard day of work. I reserve my free time for cooking (I was a chef (!)), travelling, and I bought a guitar last week haha. And ofcourse, as a real Dutchie, I am at my happiest when I ride my bicycle. I can come over any evening this week to have a chat and take a look at the room. Cheers, Jeroen Janssen
How's it going? I'm a 24 year old male defecting from the US and moving to Canberra in the first week in April, working full-time in the APS, and I'm looking for accommodation, preferably in a share house or apartment in the Inner South. A bit about me: I'm a clean, respectful, and outgoing guy who enjoys a good cup of coffee, is always down for a drink, and enjoys both cooking at home and experimenting with new restaurants. Though I've spent the past two years in Alabama (No, I'm not racist, don't own a gun, and I didn't vote for Trump), I'm originally from the east coast, respect all religions, support LGBT rights, pet-friendly, and in general a very respectful human being. For fun, I try to stay active and look forward to cycling around the city, skiing in the winter, traveling, hiking, and rowing, but I also enjoy relaxing with a good book or movie. I won't hesitate to chip in for house goods, will always pay rent on time, will pick up after myself, and if it means anything to you, have always driven Subarus. Let me know if you have availability starting sometime in April, and once I arrive in Canberra at the beginning of April, I hope to meet potential roommates and check out the room for rent. Thanks for your interest!

Hi, I am currently studying at Canberra Makeup Academy. I am from Batlow NSW and work there packing apples. I also bar-tend part time. I like being social and going out on the weekends but stay pretty quiet during the week. I am friendly and easy to get along with so would like to live with people the same. I really love travelling, going on adventures and doing new things. :) I am new to Canberra so would love to make some new friends.
Hi, I'm a 21 year old female student in my 3rd year of science at ANU. My interests include soccer, snowboarding, reading, weekend adventures (when I can get out of Canberra), and procrasti-cleaning during exam time. I also love animals (especially cats), so if you have pets I'm your gal! I'm looking to move into a relaxed share house that's close(ish) to ANU. I'm a very easy person to live with, having been in share houses for the last two years. I'd like to sign a lease for at least the next year or so. I'm quiet, respectful and clean, but also enjoy catching up with house mates of a night for a chat (definitely not a party girl though, much prefer quiet nights in watching movies). I'm always willing to contribute to cleaning and will never leave areas messy. Please feel free to get in contact with me :) Thanks!
I'm a very easy going student currently studying at ANU and working a retail job. I'm easy to get along with, and looking forward to living in a nice relaxed group environment. I tend to keep to myself most of the time, but I enjoy socialising as well. Always keen to play video games, board games, and I love horror movies, but I'm always happy to just chill.
We are a quiet, easy-going and relaxed couple looking for the perfect place to call home for a few months! We have lived in the eastern suburbs all our lives and need somewhere in Canberra for a few months! Dane is a talented photographer ( on Insta if you're curious!), who is a loyal friend, a charismatic, funny and chatty guy, who loves an adventure and a good book! I'm an artistic girl who loves her makeup, food and loves kids and pets! I'm a homebody, so expect home cooked dinners and cakes! We love a good comedy show, adventure through nature, cafe and perfect reading spot. We love each other and are very happy (...so fear not awkward late night fights) We are reliable, very clean and honest. We respect other peoples privacy and are upfront - when there's a problem, we like to solve it! You can count on us to be excellent roommates and wonderful friends :) Message me if you think you'd like to let us live with you! NO SHARE ROOMS! Furnished desireable! We also adore pets so... dogs, in our eyes, are a bonus. - Nina and Dane
I'm a young professional, enjoy housemate hangs and good company. Respectful of space and privacy. I usually have things on after work and on the weekend but looking for somewhere to call home. I'm into camping, simple cooking, reading, gym, and politics.
Hey! Searching for a place somewhere reasonably near the city centre, preferably inner-South. Originally from the Gold Coast, I am currently a public servant who has been living in Canberra for a year. Relaxed, tidy and a self-proclaimed exceptional cook - anything else just ask :) If you are looking for a flatmate or know of anyone please let me know! Locations and move dates negotiable. Tom.
Hi! I'm looking for a place in Canberra ASAP. Moving from Sydney and working admin in Canberra from the 3rd of April. Also currently studying part- time and online. I'm a clean and considerate person, looking for a social house who are down for good chats and a beverage
My name is Nina Murphy, I'm 24 years old. I have just been offered a full-time job in Canberra working for an international aid organisation. I'm moving down from Sydney for the job, so will be very new to the Canberra area. During the week, I like to go out for dinner or drinks, but I'm equally satisfied having a quiet night in. I'm a very social person, on the weekends I spend my time catching up with friends and exploring new restaurants and bars.
We are a young couple studying and working part time jobs, looking to move out of our parents' houses and save to move to Melbourne when we finish study in 2019. We tend to keep to ourselves as we work, both day and night shifts however we are social on the rare occasion our schedules line up. We would prefer somewhere with our own kitchen/kitchenette as we are vegan and nut free. We both work in Kambah and go to school in the city so, we are looking for something around those areas.
I am respectful and considerate of other's space, belongings and opinions. I live a healthy life style. Well as much as possible. I enjoy having a relationship with those I live with and also know that alone time is a must for certain occasions and situations. I believe living together is fulfilling, when there is mutual understanding of each others thoughts and ideas. Being able to respectfully communicate and compromise on all areas of living. Forming a considerate and trusting relationship within the household. I enjoy socializing on a one on one or in a group setting. I am currently doing a Cert3 in age care and some volunteer work at the ADRA Op shop. I am passionate to make a difference in another persons life and to be able to make someone else smile, is a blessing to me.
Hi there! I'm a country girl who's been living the Sydney city life for a bit over a year, and I'm moving to Canberra to work full time as a nanny, before starting study next year. I love to cook, dance terribly but enthusiastically, garden, and sing. I like quiet nights in and board games, and I'm respectful and tidy. I love animals but don't have any of my own (except a horse, but don't worry, he'll have alternative accommodation. Hoping I find a welcoming and fun place.
I am an American student coming to Canberra for a summer internship. I'm a pretty easy going dude. I am a pretty active person, I play rugby in the states and will probably be looking to hike, hit the gym, explore the country, and check out Aussie netflix in my free time. I'm a fairly social person; equal parts down to grab a drink or just chill, but also respectful of your space when needed. I'm excited to meet some new people and make new friends, let's make this a summer to remember!
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Hello! My names charlotte. I'm Moving to Canberra to start my studies in beauty therapy and work part time. I'm a easy good gal who loves company of others but can respect having alone time. I'm very active with my time, I'm either working, hanging with friends, going out, gym, cleaning! As I'm really into beauty and makeup I like to spend a lot of time in the bathroom doing girly things, if you're happy to share you're space I'm happy to share mine. I'm happy to live with anyone (female, male, couples) but as I'm new to Canberra I'd love some new friends I could get along with and have a bit of fun along the way! Looking to move the 1st of May. Looking forward to meeting my new roomies x
Relocating to ACT for a new contract / Study. I'm super tidy, respectful, easygoing (awesome sense of humour even if I say so myself :), non-smoker. I'm single but not dating so you won't have random people in your lounge room, I'm just here to work and study for the next year and want a clean, convenient, quiet place to do that! Since I am relocating a furnished room would be perfect but not essential. Ideally own bathroom.
Hi, I am moving to Canberra in April 2017 after living in Dubai for 14 years - very excited about settling in a new place! I love to have meaningful conversations, reading, learning new things, practicing Yoga and exploring nature. I am respectful of personal space, clean and organised. Professionally, I am a Training and Development specialist, on the look out for job opportunities. Looking for friendly and responsible housemates.
Hey there! I've recently moved over from Perth for work and am looking for some lovely people to share/rent with! During the week you'll most likely find me catching up on work (sad life I know) or binge watching tv series. On the weekends I enjoy going out for food/casual drinks and try to explore more of Canberra! I am tidy, friendly and respectful of others and their personal space and am looking for others who are the same. Please feel free to shoot me a message if you'd be interested in chatting and possibly teaming up to find a place! :) xx
I have just recently moved to Canberra and working full time. Looking for something short term and close to the city. I cook and bake delicious treats for all my housemates to enjoy, clean up after myself and am tidy. I am quiet during the week, happy to Netflix and eat ice-cream, but enjoy busy weekends.
Looking at buying a house in the next four months but need somewhere to stay whilst looking in Canberra. I am a shift worker at the hospital so will be around at random times. My partner works down the coast during the week but will spend the weekends with me in Canberra. I'm friendly and keep to myself.
I'm 25 years old, originally from Melbourne and have been living in Lennox Head, NSW recently. I have just acquired a full-time job with the ACT Government working in natural resource management and environmental protection so moving ASAP to Canberra! I'm tidy, love a clean kitchen, conscious of everyone's personal space, active, enjoy yoga and pilates, love being outdoors (hiking and surfing) and like to consider myself a bit of a gardener.
Hi there, I moved from Adelaide to Canberra to work full-time at CSIRO. I'm quiet, friendly, and respectful of people around me. I live a pretty minimalist lifestyle (clean, tidy, no clutter!), and like having a chat at the end of the day, but I also like my alone time, and respect that other people need this as well! Though my background is in science, I also have a love of the arts - music, film, books, photography.
We are an easygoing, respectful and open minded couple moving from the Netherlands to Canberra, to do a fulltime internship at CSIRO for 6 months. During the week we will be working and in the weekends we would like to explore the area and meet new people:) We have both been living in a housesharing situation for 5-6 years in Amsterdam. We both like sports and being outdoors. Send me a message if you can help us out or want to know more about us!
What I'm looking for: I'm in the process of selling my home in rural NSW (Settlement is 16th May so looking to move between 1- 15 May) and will be house sitting in Canberra/NSW so I'm looking for a long term home base in Canberra or Qeanbeyan to stay in between house sits. Preference is for other house mates to be 40+ years old that respect one an others personal space while still being able to share common areas of the house without awkwardness. I will need a bedroom that can accommodate a queen side bed and side tables plus small dresser, has a built in robe and my own bathroom.Your pets are great as I love animals. About me: I'm an early riser (5am!), happily single, all things artistic, spiritual, honest, like a bit of friendly banter, clean and tidy, like gardening and work in Tuggeranong (sometimes for long hours depending on the time of year). Really I would be the perfect house mate because I would be away for long periods of time! Let's chat and see if we're a good fit. Weirdo's need not apply :-)
Hi, My name is Navina and I work at the ANU :) I'm looking for a room ASAP (but flexible with move in date), am friendly, easy going but also respect people's privacy. Big animal lover (but don't have pets). Navina

Hey! I am a 23F, who works full-time at Calvary Hospital Bruce. I work week on week off: my week on I pretty much live at work, so you won't see me much, but on my week off I enjoy my down time, travelling, and visiting my family. I'm a social butterfly, and find i'm easy to get along with. I love a social chat/drink, but also appreciate alone time. I can cook, clean, and come completely toilet trained... I also have a Netflix account! (All round package here i know!) I also enjoy burritos, beer and cheese. Looking to move in with people that have similar traits, can be both professional and friendly, people who don't mind a chat over dinner to wind down after work. If you're an easy going person, and think we'll get along, get in touch- i'd love to hear from you. :) ps: i do have a cat! Meredith- she isn't a make or break though as my parents have offered to take her if i cannot have her with me... but would love for her to be able to join me!! PPS: it won't be until mid April that I could move in.
I'm arriving Canberra early June from the US to begin my physics post graduate degree at ANU. I'm a shy nerd who's quiet and keep to myself most of the time. I will spend a lot of time in a cafe during weekends (if one's available nearby). I like to draw, watch Netflix, read manga, and play video games when I have time. I'm down for outdoor adventures if the weather permits. I enjoy trips to pubs every once in a while. Not a heavy drinker, not a smoker, not a party creature. Looking for a quiet place somewhere that's within half an hour bus ride to ANU. A bedroom with private bathroom, an ensuite, a granny flat, or a studio is preferred. I'm a cat lady so if you have a cat I'm totally cool with that.
Hey I'm Marty, 25 year's old. I'm a friendly, easy going country bloke from Wagga Wagga. I've just gained a full time job at Canberra Airport as an aircraft mechanic. I'm social and love to get out and about on weekends and keep somewhat fit and active. Love AFL and cricket but will watch most sports. Always up for a beer and a chat. Have had renting experience for about a year and a half now with current workmate/s. Non-smoker and good with pets. That's about all from me, Cheers.
Hey! I'm Angus, 21, Canberra bred. I work full time as an assistant restaurant manager in downtown CBR and also study. I'm looking for a peaceful, communal and social household to be a part of, or go on the quest for accomodation with like minded people. A little about me (lol): my plethora of interests include but are not limited to: photography (film in particular), cinema (independent/arthouse), discussing matters of the world and heart, cooking amazing vegan food, supporting LGBTQI+ rights, literature and the world of food and beverage. I've also travelled a fair bit, around Europe, Asia and Aus. I always seem to find myself out and about on the weekend, and keep a pretty active social life. That said I like to keep it considerably chill at home and am more Martha Stewart when it comes to affairs of the house. Although a tipple and a giggle over dinner doesn't go astray. Looking for somewhere inner-north, within easy cycling distance to the city, not to fussy with room size/type although the bigger the better. Thanks for reading!
I am 26 years old and work full-time in the public service and after work I generally head to the gym, so, some nights I don't get home until after 7pm. During the week I tend to keep to myself but happy to share a meal, drink or a movie on weekends. I am extremely reliable, respectful and helpful - so no issues getting rent or bills out of me :) I have no problem with overnight visitors/boyfriends/girlfriends as I hope people who are okay with me having an overnight visitor a couple nights a week. I currently have household furniture such as, fridge (new), lounge set, kitchen items etc which I am happy to use or to leave in storage and I also have a vehicle I will need to accommodate for. I'm ideally looking for a place, big enough for a queen bed and other furniture, with my own bathroom (preferably an ensuite master room). Happy to move in as of 7 April 2017.
Hey There! 26, easy going female. Currently working full time in media marketing. I enjoy a social household and spending time w my housemates but enjoy having my own space. laid back and up for pretty much anything, not big drinkers or partiers but doesn't mean we won't dance and chat the night away with you. We enjoy outdoor activities like camping fishing and anything adventurous but we also like a good Netflix sesh. Board and card game nights also make for a good social night. We have three beautiful well behaved dogs and a very friendly cat all house trained and dogs are outside when no one is home. There is a horse if you like horses who is kept at park wood. Look forward to possibily being your house mate Kim and Freja

My cooking abilities range from pasta to waffles to more of the previous 😬 Im pretty laid back and looking for someone or multiple to chill out and have a laugh with. Male(s) or female(s), I'm not fussed.
I'm quiet, kind and respectful. I'm clean, can cook well and I prefer to keep to myself, although I would love a friendly environment where we all get along. I study architecture and am hoping to do my masters at ANU in environmental planning. I spend my time playing video games, drawing and watching tv. I also absolutely love dogs, so if you have any, yay!
I'm a Japanese full-time worker who work in tourism industry. I had lived in Brisbane for 6 months and just moved to Canberra. I'm planning to stay canberra for another 6 months. I work FT in communications and web, looking for one or more friendly & clean girls to find an inner-city place with a backyard as I have a cat and eventually want a puppy. I have a full house worth of furniture looking for a home. I'd like to live with a female, non-smoker, someone relatively quiet at home, clean & tidy who works FT and is keen to chill out with a wine/ dinner/ lame rom-com every now and then. Looking to find myself an ensuite room because I have a lot of furniture/ impulse control issues when shopping. I'd love a place near the city if possible with a backyard so that I could buy a dog in the future 😊 In my spare time I love adventuring, art, the markets, running and hiking!
I am an ANU full-time engineering student(undergraduate), very quiet but also enjoy occasional chats or a little bit of wine or beer(no worries, never do I get drunk). Respecting others' privacy and living habits has always been my common practise and I am expecting the same from my flatmates. To add to this, I clean up after myself and live a regular life(early bird). I would be a long-term tenant who pay rent and bills on time. By the way, I love painting and baking. Anywhere within 25 minutes by bus or bike to ANU(close to City Centre) would be fine for me. If you have any properties to offer, please contact me. Thank you!
I am a happy, outgoing entrepreneur who loves playing guitar, dancing, playing tennis, meditating, healthy eating and living, doing random acts of kindness, finding reasons to laugh hysterically and better yet inspire laughter in others! I love being present to the incredible beauty and possibility in every new moment! and being around others that share that love.
Hi! My name is David, I am 24 years old and I am originally from a small town in NSW called Cootamundra. I am looking forward to experiencing the delights of Canberra (especially the mountain biking) and keen to make new friends! I am easy going, punctual, friendly and always clean up after myself (it's always nicer to live in a clean house). I am also very into skiing and plan to do plenty of trips up to the snowy mountains during winter so if you are into that sort of thing or want to try it out, I'd be more than happy to drive you up!
Hi there, I am a PhD student and Sports Dietitian. Sticking around Canberra for the next 3 years. I have a little cat, but she is very tidy and fully toilet trained. I am fairly quiet and respectful, but friendly. Looking for a chilled/friendly place to live :)
Hi everyone! I'm a full-time young professional with the APS and part-time masters student looking for an unfurnished room in a share apartment, preferably a master bedroom with an ensuite but I can be flexible. I'm looking for a clean and tidy place that I can come home from work and relax in, with housemates who are friendly and quiet- definitely not a party house! I've lived in share houses all through and post uni and consider myself 'share house trained' in sharing cleaning responsibilities and paying bills on time. I'm always down for a chat, love my fitness, and Netflix binging. If you've got a place send me a message :)
I'm very easygoing, clean and quiet. I do shift work full time and I try to get out and about on my days off.
