Working as a hairdresser full time. Love meeting people and hanging out but know about that personal space lovin. Looking to be in a pretty chilled out environment.
I'm looking for a place to stay Monday - Thursday for the next 4 weeks. The weekends I will head back to Queensland. I am 37, married with two kids (they are staying in Queensland until January now). Normally I like cycling and lots of sports. I am going to be working hard in the daytime and will be no fuss at all.
*NO LONGER LOOKING FOR A PLACE * Hey, my name's Daniel! I'm a psychology graduate working full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon for the last 1.5 years, with great housemates. Our lease expires on December 4th though, so I'm looking for a new place to move to around then. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: My current lease expires on December 15th 2017, so I would be looking to move between December 1-13th 2017. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate :) WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I completely understand if you want your space. If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.
From Melbourne, moving up in early 2018 to work in the Public Service. Clean, easygoing housemate. I'm fairly social but also enjoy quiet time. Can cook, but keen to broaden my repertoire. Will binge watch almost anything! Fan of AFL, cricket. Love a good book. Also play the piano (with headphones on).
I'm a very chilled person and have two of possibly the cutest dogs ever. I'm basically just looking for somewhere in Canberra, not super fussed where exactly. I don't really have a preferred length of stay because I'd ideally like to be there for a while... Moving is the worst.
My name is Sally, I will be moving to Canberra soon for study next year. I will be doing my master degree in diplomacy at ANU and am looking to start a share house somewhere near the uni or join a share house. Im a very friend and chilled out person, I like my space but also sociable. I love to cook and always making bread or cakes. In addition to studying I will also be working part time in hospo. At the moment I am in sydney but frequently visit canberra to do house hunting :)
Looking for a place with similarly mellow flatmates who are up for exploring or having a chat, but also respect downtime and privacy. I have a car so a car space would be great. I work full-time in the public service, am a non-smoker and I don't have any kids or pets. I'm a pretty easygoing guy and am often keen to hang out with mates, grab a drink or hit up a gig - Spilt Milk and Sia coming up! At the same time, love quiet time and movies and tv shows, but above all I love the beach (I'm from Sydney originally).
I just graduated from the ANU and am currently working as a cook and applying for grad jobs. I've lived in a share house with two friends in O'Connor for a year and a half but our lease is ending. I love cooking, Netflix and running. I'm a pretty clean person. I also have a very well behaved kitty named Caesar.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hello, my name is Jacob and I am a school leaver who will be studying nursing in Canberra in 2018. I am a very clean person and like to keep my spaces neat and tidy, I'm not shy of a good conversation and I enjoy the company of others. I am hoping to find somewhere to live as soon as possible, if you have ANY questions please don't hesitate, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you.
Hi, I am seeking a friendly, welcoming sharehouse from the start of December when my current sharehouse sadly comes to an end. I have been sharehousing for 7 years and have previously lived in Uni college, so I am very used to living with lots of people! A little bit about me... I work full time in the public service on environmental issues. I lead a fairly busy life but love hanging out with housemates and sharing a glass of wine after a busy day. I do swing dancing in my spare time and love getting outdoors to enjoy Canberra bushland and surrounds. I try to lead a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, cycling to and from work, going to gym classes and enjoying hearty vegan food. What I am looking for... I love living with friends, getting to know my housemates and sharing stories/venting about the day. More than happy with cleaning rosters and systems which ensure the house functions. I have always lived in the inner north and am keen to stick to this area.. but always open to new things. I have mainly bedroom furniture but can take bigger items that my current housemates aren't wanting. Please get in touch if you think I could fit in with your house and the timing works for your vacancy. Thanks!
Hi I'm Chelsea, moving to Canberra in late January/early Feb from Adelaide to start a new government job. I am friendly, clean, easy going, and enjoy a quiet night in. I'm an okay cook, and a better baker, and I'm happy to share those spoils around! Always up for a movie or games night. Not fussed about gender, just looking for a friend as well as a housemate :)
Hi there, My names Gabrielle and I am looking for a place to move into in January 2018. I am a full time medical student at ANU, and will spend most of my time studying. I have a small dog who is house trained. I am very quiet, clean and respectful and I have been living in share houses for the last 6 years.
I'm looking for someone to join my friend, sister and I in a share house. I'm in my third year studying Journalism at the University of Canberra. I also work part time in retail. I love socialising, keeping fit and travelling. I'm friendly and easy going person. I enjoy my personal space but I'm also up for watching TV and chilling out. I'm trustworthy, reliable and tidy.
I am a single, 19 year old Public servant looking for accommodation in the Belconnen area. I am a very out-going/extroverted person who loves to socialise although I enjoy my quiet time in front of the telly or in the privacy of my own room. Due to my current employment, I work normal business hours Monday-Friday and therefore enjoy an occasional drink or night out after a busy week. I consider myself a very clean and tidy person and definitely know how to pull my own weight around a household.
Melbournian moving to Canberra for work Dec/ Jan(flexible) in the public service. Relaxed, tidy and independent. Can be social but just as happy spending a Sunday binge watching TV shows on my own and in all honestly, I intend to keep it fairly low key, especially on weekdays. Looking to live somewhere fairly central. Had intended to get a place on my own, but apparently Canberra is more expensive to rent in than Melbourne. Who knew? Feel free to shoot me a message with any important questions that might make or break this partnership. Am i a serial killer is a good start (for the record, I'm not :P ).
Hello! What makes me great to live with... good question Flatmates... I’m pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I’d prefer a non-smoking household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. I’m a veggo for intolerance reasons, but don’t mind if you’re a hardcore carnivore or vegan. I’m good to move from January and happy to move into an established home or team up and find a wolf pack to share an awesome house in the inner south or north (I’m not a lake-sideist).
Super outgoing, approachable and enjoy long random conversations. I'm a pretty good cook and very tidy. Things I like to do is to go out a lot such as shopping and clubbing. And if not I'll probably be studying for hours or sleeping. I'm planning to commerce my undergraduate studies at university and find a part time job as well. I'm looking for flat mates who are around my age or early 20's. Someone that is good at socialising and pretty chilled to be around and friendly
