I'm a (pre-) grad student from the U.S. who will be studying at the ANU for three months this fall. I love coffee shops, Netflix, eating, laughing, reading, exploring and the occasional night out! I tend to keep to myself for the most part, but I also enjoy hanging out with like-minded people and having great conversation.
Hello! I am an American, specifically from sunny California, visiting on a work/holiday visa. Over the past ten years I have always had a flat mate to live with, I find it easier and less lonely. I’ve lived in communal environments as well as private ones. I am very clean, organized, and personable. I don’t mind communal food, I don’t mind sharing, I also don’t mind personal items kept labeled and separate. I don’t do drugs, I don’t really drink, and if I do drink, I may enjoy a smoke but it’s not a normal habit. I am looking to find full time employment, or at least interviews set up before I arrive. I work with children, the elderly, and disabled, I’m looking to caregive. I will settle for any full time work I can find, I’m not picky and I’m hard working. For fun, I love being outdoors, crafting, listening to music, exploring, eating new foods, baking, and cleaning haha it’s theriputic. I don’t expect my flat mate to be as tidy as myself, but respecful of common areas, such as bathrooms. I don’t party, but I can sleep through anything. I don’t mind living with students in their early 20’s as long as WE BOTH prove good rental history. Any references you may need about me can be provided promptly.
Hi, I am moving from Switzerland to down under to start a post doc position working on solar cells at ANU. I love to travel and to meet new people to widen my horizon. I respect privacy in a flat when needed but I am also open to cook and enjoy life together.
My name is Manu Prakaash, I am 33 years of age, and am from New Delhi, India. I have been a working professional for the Government of India for a while, and have now decided to take a break from my job and pursue further studies. I have got admission in the master of International Relations Program at the ANU, Canberra, which commences on 23rd July, 2018. However, I arrived in to Canberra last night, as the orientation week commences on 16th July. I am a matured, confident, and understanding & kind hearted individual. I am well travelled internationally and have many friends from across the world. Adjusting to the environment and culture in a country like Australia should not be a problem for me at all. And I am sure I would be accepted easily and would be able to make friends. I am looking at sharing a furnished flat with other people. I am flexible in terms of my requirements with regard to potential flatmates, as long as they are reasonable individuals.
I am relocating to Canberra for Work. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and don’t have pets but certainly don’t mind if others do. I’m quiet but enjoy a good conversation when you want to. I am married and my wife will be relocating to ACT with me (from Darwin) once the family home is sold etc so I am looking for a six month place that will help me transition and get us set up in the ACT and ready for our new home.
Hi everyone, my name is Yosri. I am a french student here in Canberra for 4 months for an internship in ANU. Most of the time I'm in my lab working (sometimes even on sundays and saturdays). I am calm, clean and respectful.
Hi, my name is Piyush Gupta and I'm 23 years old male hailing from India currently studying Master of Computing full-time at Australian National University. I don't smoke and don't have a pet or vehicle. I've been living in shared spaces for the past five years now and thus I'm aware of personal space of the roommates that needs to be respected. I'm easy going and always hygienic and tidy. I'm bad at organizing parties myself, but wouldn't mind if the roommates decide to have one. I wouldn't be in my own bubble all the time and be socially active with the roommates too. I like reading books, playing video games and exercise. P.S - The baby in the picture is just to add cuteness, doesn't come with me :)
We're a couple from Singapore currently on exchange for one semester in ANU. I'm studying philosophy and my girlfriend is studying psychology. We just faced some troubles with accommodation in ANU, and we're urgently looking for alternative accommodation options! We're quiet people who are easy to get along with :) Just to clarify, our flight back to Singapore is on the 10th of December!
Hi everyone! Myself and my super friendly cat are moving up to Canberra on the 30th of July to start an exciting new job, and are looking for somewhere to live! I'm very quiet, clean and respectful, but also down for dinner and a drink. I spend my weekends either going out on adventures and doing photography, working on my own jewellery pieces or just relaxing with snacks and movies.
I'm a pretty chilled guy, if I'm not working you'll probably find me gaming or binging Netflix, I'm fairly social but do like my own space, love to cook and I'm pretty tidy, currently applying for 2-3 bedroom townhouse looking for someone to rent with before I sign
I'm a fourth year arts/law student at ANU. I moved here from sunny Perth for uni! I work full-time so I study part-time. I love dogs, cooking, gardening, reading, politics, and lots more. LBGTQIA+ friendly. Looking for a quiet and clean share house - I'm a homebody and I spend a lot of time at home studying. Please ask me anything I've missed!
I originaly come from Yass, NSW but I am now working full time at old Parliament House as a barrister and waiter (8am to 5pm) I enjoy cooking and eat almost anything, I'm also down with vegetarian and vegan. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like coming home after a long days work to a clean house. I am an easy going person and easy to get along with, I like socializing at the end of the day and on weekends; for instance sharing dinner together or having a drink. In my free time I like to draw, read and watch movies. I do enjoy getting outside and longboarding as well as hiking when I get the chance. I understand the importance of privacy and I will 100% respect it. I have lived with other families and people and do have valuable experience.
I am Jose, a young Spanish, who is going to have a small three-month stay at the Canberra's Bureau of Meteorology, while I am doing the PhD. I am 29 years old, not smoke and love the sport, preferably collective.
Hiya! My name is Alicia and I am moving to Canberra at the beginning of August, meaning I require a new home:) I'm a full time worker doing admin in the construction industry as well as attempting to study Marketing part time online. I'm really looking for a home where the housemates get along and who wouldn't mind giving me some tips on some local places (help a Newbie!). I'm clean, love a laugh and respect peoples privacy as well as enjoy my own alone time. My cooking skills are limited so unfortunately I can not try to win you over with some amazing dish but I do know how to wash dishes and put them away :D Balcony, en suite and/or pets would be a huge bonus. Hope to hear from you! Cheers, Alicia
Hey guys, I am looking for a place in Canberra as I'm moving from Sydney to start a Masters in Physiotherapy at UC. I am a clean and tidy person and am very easy to live with. I enjoy my own space but always up for a wine and chat! I love the gym and keeping active, and keen to see what Canberra has to offer. If you think I'd be a good fit for your household let me know! :)
Hi! I'm a PhD student at ANU who will be living in Canberra for the next 2 years. I would like to live within cycling distance of the university in a relaxed and comfortable home. I am originally from New Zealand, and have retained a silly accent, just for your amusement. Although my PhD is in biochemistry, I have vague aspirations of becoming a chef. I am slowly building my culinary skills in the kitchen and you could be my lucky test subjects! (for the food, not the chemistry). But seriously I do really enjoy sharing my meals with friends who appreciate good food. I am generally a very tidy person, and don't complain about doing housework as I would rather just live in a clean space than endure mess while seething at others. I have lived in 3 sharehouses previously and my housemates found me easygoing with no dramas. I tend to work quite hard during the weekdays and enjoy coming home to a relaxed home. On weekends I like to get outdoors for hiking or rock climbing, but also enjoy social dinners or movies at home. I hope to hear from you soon!
Hey, Klara and I are looking for a place to stay while she completes second semester studies at ANU. She is an exchange student from Sweden and very much looking forward to living here. I myself have just moved back from Sweden and am looking forward to Canberra life. We are very easy going and sociable yet respect others space. We enjoy a few drinks in the afternoon and the odd group dinner or game night. We also have a camper that we plan on using as much as possible so will be out of the house a little more than usual tenants. Our plan is for a 4 month stay but can be flexible with that also. We look forward to hearing from anyone interested! Cheers
I’m originally from Brisbane, but have lived and overseas and interstate (Sydney, London, Dili). I work full time (in foreign policy) and have have been based in Canberra for just over two years. I’m tidy and have been living in sharehouses for over four years. I’m respectful of privacy and space, but also love sharing great conversation and food. I like to cook in my spare time - especially cake.
Looking to rent two bedrooms for me and my friend Shweta for minimum one year near ANU. We are currently going to start studying at ANU for masters in Astrophysics and Masters in marketing. If not then one bedroom just for myself will just do fine. I would prefer two bedroom flat but we do not mind sharing with other flatmates.
G'day future flatmates! a little about me: I'm 27, and have been in Canberra for about 7 years on and off now (uni and work), I've lived in three share-houses during that time. I'm only leaving my current one (very sadly!) because I've fallen for a rescue dog that I want to adopt and they have cute rabbits that wont really get along a new doggo! (so ideally you'll love dogs too, hah!) I work full time in Watson at the AIE and I spend most of my spare time bouldering, slack lining, cycling, hiking, or getting out to gigs, though if I'm indoors you'll likely find me with my guitar, or curled up drinking tea and reading a book or watching ted talks. Some random things about me: Yo hablo un poco espanol, I love to cook, I'm converting my Subaru into a cool camper over the next 6months, I play guitar (and sometimes badly sing), I'm a vegan (but not the judgey kind - more the kind that will cook tasty food and share it with you! aka I can't cook for just 1 aha), I volunteer with the RSPCA, and I also study on the side of everything else. That being said I'm looking for a house/to team up and start a that's social and chill, with cool people! love to hang out when i have free time. I'm pretty flexible with move dates, I'll just be paying rent at my current place till they find a new housemate so if you've got something coming up let me know! :) Would be keen to team up and start a share house if the timing works out and I'm inspecting a few places in the inner north area! :) Hope to hear from you! Cheers, Chris
