WHO: I'm a full-time worker who is clean and reliable but also very quiet. I do tend to keep to myself but I am happy for a chat now and then. I’m vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking (but don’t mind if you’re not), and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. My current housemate/landlord can provide a reference if desired. I have lots of sharehouse experience and references are available. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy place that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet (no ad hoc parties!). I have my own furniture and am hoping to fit a single bed, chest of drawers, bookcase and desk in my room. I also have a small amount of my own cookware for the kitchen, if it can be accommodated. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or disruptive drunkenness. WHERE: Anywhere in the ACT, so don’t be put off if your suburb isn’t in my preferred list. WHEN: I need to move by June 30 at latest; if moving sooner than that I need to give 2 weeks notice at my current address. HOW: If you would like to meet me and show me your place, please send me a message (with any extra helpful info that is not in your listing), and we'll go from there.
Hi, very easy going person, work full time, likes to keep very fit, into MTB riding and triathlons.
Hey! So I'm a student studying at CMA in mitchell, I'll be a qualified beauty therapist by the end of year. I'm quite, clean and very friendly. I tend to get along with anyone. I keep to myself a lot. Although, I don't mind spending a few nights together or having a chat. I'm young and creative and enjoy just hanging around watching Netflix or doing some baking. Always been a Canberra gal, im not a loud person nor am I a partier. That doesn't stop me from the one off nights where I might wanna go out. I'd be down with hanging and having a few drinks. I have a small inside dog, everyone adores him, his a great dog who gets along with other animals too. His names Xavier and his a shoodle :) I can't afford much due to being a student, once I'm a qualified therapist I hope to do mobile/at home treatments. I would prefer living with another individual or alone. This is due to me being extremely shy and anxious. I would like to open up and meet new people though too. I love nerding out- I love marvel, DC reading comics, game of thrones, depending how nerdy you are I can play magic the gathering and always down to learn a new thing or two ! I’m super super shy I can’t stress that enough, but once I’m comfortable I’m sure we’d get on fine! I do have a few LGBT friends that would potentially come over so I’d prefer if I was living with someone who accepts them. Let me know if you’d like to know more about me.
Hi! I'm Adam. I work full time as an animator for a small digital advertising company. I'm very laid back and like to keep things tidy, I mostly keep to myself but I'm always down to socialise! I've lived in a share house for the past 5-ish years so I'm used to pulling my own weight, I'm just keen to upgrade to a bigger place that can offer a bit more privacy and space (as well as a proper sized kitchen!). I have no pets but I miss having pets around so if you've got any that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. :) And, although it's not a requirement, if you've got a place where I could consider getting a pet of my own that would be amazing. I'm also not keen on moving around a lot so ideally I'm looking for a long-term arrangement, somewhere I can call home. Aiming to stay on the south side of the ACT as my office is there and the stage 2 plans for the light rail taking up a couple of lanes on Commonwealth Avenue bridge and making traffic horrendous sounds terrifying, so I'd rather not deal with that!
Hola!! I’m a down to earth gal who enjoys a glass of vino and cheeseboard more than what’s considered healthy. I’m a clean and tidy person who can respect others space, but also up for some friendly banter! I work full time Monday-Friday so enjoy making the most out of my weekends by getting out of the house for a brewsky and a boogie and then picnics in the sun as a form of recovery. Looking forward to hearing from you! Peace, love and body rolls ✌🏽 Arielle
I'm a former journalist who now works full-time in Media & Communications/ Client Services in Woden. My work hours would be leaving each weekday morning at 7 and home anywhere between 5-6. I also tend to spend a lot of time in front of my computer working so I would prefer not to be locked away in my room but rather be in a central area of the apartment that's social so I can watch TV and interact with housemates at the same time if that's possible. I'm extremely quiet, (although happy for noise at appropriate times), easy-going, friendly, clean up after myself and put things back where I find them. I always appreciate the same, yet don't mind doing the odd little clean-up for a housemate while I'm doing mine. Likewise I cook my own meals, but it's no problem cooking for others. I make a happy relationship with those I share with a priority. Looking for a weekly rent between $200-$300 with all bills and unlimited Internet included.
I am great to live with because... I, as I would describe myself; am pretty chilled, friendly and easy-going. I keep to myself, yet don't mind being social. I have a full-time job in the APS and in addition to being employed I am also honest and reliable which means that there wouldn't ever be any issues with rent/bills being paid on time. I would also make a great housemate because I don't shy away from practical/hands on jobs and enjoy a little bit of DIY. I am pretty handy when it comes to assembling IKEA furniture or any other items that may require assembly for that matter ;) I have a pet that I would like to have move with me. His name is Leroy and he is a Diamond Python. He lives in a fully enclosed glass tank and would live in my room (hoping the space would allow for his tank) - you wouldn't even know he was there...
I’m easy going, honest, friendly, clean, tidy, considerate, pay my bills on time & are hardly home between work, my two horses, and trying to spend time with family & friends! When I am home I enjoy a peaceful and relatively quiet environment where I can wind-down, some times with a glass of red or a beer, but I am not a big drinker and have no interest in living with people who are partial to drugs. Love animals, so if you have pets, that’s a bonus :-)
Hello :) I am an easy going and social person, I adore all animals and work as a full time vet nurse. I love being outdoors and drawing pet portraits for people in my spare time. I own a beagle x staffy named Bodhi who loves people and interacting with other dogs.
I'm Eli, 32! I’m pretty tidy, clean and sociable! I like cooking, watching movies, reading books... I work at Holder! I'm seeking for a room to rent in any place that is not too far from Holder such as: Holder, Coombs, Lyons, Phillip, Chifley, Red Hill, Hughes, Curtin, Canberra, Kambah, Greenway etc. Please, let me know anything that offers easy access by bus to that! Kind Regards, Eli
I am a full time working professional in the govt sector. Easy going and friendly. Clean and tidy person and like the same. I am vegetarian but do not mind if you are not. Love outdoors, doing yoga and meditation. Teach kids and adults yoga. Family is in Brisbane to travel often to Brisbane in weekends. Do not smoke or drink alcohol. Genuine care for people and animals.
Hello I'm will. Lived in canberra most of my life except america for a few years. I work a full time job in construction and also study at tafe on fridays, I also usually work on saturdays. I love to have fun and try new things, i do latin dance and work out for exercise. In my down time when i am home i chill out by playing games or watching movies.
Sensible, easygoing, and considerate person, looking for accommodation closer to central Canberra. I can be a little reserved at first, however I love meeting new people at the same time and definately enjoy others company. I am often busy with uni / work / various other activities, so whenever I have free time I make an effort to spend it with friends and family - whether it be going out to eat or staying in over a glass of wine. I'd love to find a sharehouse where my flatmates could become new friends, rather than simply flatmates - but I totally respect everyone's personal space and understand that not everyone is the same way and that's fine. Move-in dates and length of stay are quite flexible, I'll try and work around your schedule.
Looking to move to Canberra with work shortly (looks like June at the moment). I work M-F, 9-5ish. Pretty easy to get along with, non-smoker, clean and respectful, and don't mind a quiet drink or two occasionally. I like my home to be tidy and clean, and I'm respectful of other flatmate's space and possessions. I'd like to share with someone similar, friendly, and respectful. I tend to keep quiet through the week, and get out and about on the weekend. Looking forward to exploring Canberra and what it has to offer. At home I generally like my down time on week nights as work and I start my day early. I'm not looking for a party house. I'm a fairly social guy, friendly, but I can sometimes need some alone time too. I'll have little belongings with me it'll be in storage back home. Looking for a place close to transport. I reckon I've covered most bases. If you want to know anything further, please don't hesitate to message me.
Very easy going! I'm comfortable being quiet in my room and I'm comfortable socialising and having a drink with my fellow housemates. I love to cook and struggle to contain myself to making one serving so lucky you! Work at rebel so I can hook you up with sporting goods. It'll be my first time in Canberra (from Melbourne), excited to see the sights.
Hello! I am a friendly working professional (jewellery sales) with many years experience living in share houses. I enjoy having a clean, relaxing space to live in and love some social time (boardgames!!) with housemates and friends. Although I do understand the need for personal time, space and privacy as well. When I'm not working I enjoy being out in nature or making and viewing any kind of art! I look forward to hearing from you soon if you think I'm a good fit for your house!
I'm easy going, friendly, very tidy and conscious of others. I am a responsible person that will be able to fit in to anywhere I go.
Recently moved to Canberra to work in the public service. Finishing my degree by distance. Need short term accommodation, preferably around the 2 to 3 month range. Clean and tidy; like to keep my space squared away. Prefer my own space but not adverse to hanging out. New to Canberra, so unfamiliar with the area, wouldn't mind a guide to the city and surrounding areas.
We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and although we just moved back - our parents are selling up our free digs, so we are looking for somewhere to live! Claire has been renting/share-housing (on & off) since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. We are boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna bed times. Claire does all the normal human things - talks, exercises out of necessity rather than enjoyment, watches TV, likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker extradordiare, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and claiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri-Sunday night) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband & Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we will spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with him visiting. We have some furniture so happy to share with the group, or start a house share. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra. Looking to move most likely late July to early August. Preferably we’d like you to love dogs and Chilli hates the outdoors, so you'd need to be okay with him inside. There is the possibility for Chilli to renounce the spoiled only child life to live with his dad & fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant and Clark Kent look-alike; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
I've just returned from living overseas and have started full time employment in Canberra. I'm well traveled and easy to get along with. I spend my weekends away, am really Just looking for relaxed housemates.
