Greetings :) We are a young professional same-sex couple seeking a teamup for a roomy shared townhouse (or such) in Melbourne, Carlton/ Carlton North or inner East/ North Melbourne. We are both comfortable, clean, easy-going, and love good chats and a bit of fun every now and then but also really value some down-time and rest after a long day of work. We currently live in a cosy apartment in South Yarra, our lease is ending on the 15th of May and we wish to secure a place by early-mid April at the latest. What kind of home we are looking to share: Our main goals with our new home is to reduce the amount of rent we are paying currently and have a bigger home with a roomy backyard and living area. We are looking to team up with 2 other people (don't mind couples) for a 3 bedroom house/ townhouse. Our main requirements are a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (preferably ensuites), a backyard, for the location to be within 5-10km of Melbourne CBD, and combined rent of less than $680 per week (divided by 4 people, $740 per month each max). We have an adorable fluffy feline son named Wilbur who is about 6.5 years old, he is a very calm and well-natured cat. His only activities include intermittently switching from deep sleeping, intense eating and purry snuggling. He is incredibly comfortable and loving with new people, clean, and very self-sufficient. He does occasionally want to play and have a bit of a run around but his most loved activity is curling up to sleep. A little bit about us: We both have full-time 9-5 jobs during the week and prefer quiet evenings during the week, occasionally having dinners with friends every now and then but that is the most we do on weeknights - reserving most of our going out/ socializing and such to weekends. We have a good small bunch of close friends who we love seeing as often as time and energy permits. We love a bit of a boogie once or twice a month whether it be in the form of a cosy little house party or a 5 day doof out in the bush. Despite this, we aren't huge party animals and strongly value a good work, rest, play balance. As housemates, we love cleanliness but also understand that with full-time work and a busy lifestyle sometimes a pristine, perfect home is not always achievable. This is absolutely okay with us but we would always ensure that a thorough clean-up is done at least once a week. We also love a friendly environment at home, having a chat over a smoke, tea or wine once in a while but some nights we just want to retreat into the couch or our bedroom and sleep or binge watch Netflix or documentaries about quantum physics, consciousness or the world of psychedelics. We also love plants, candles, incense, art, all kinds of music and prefer eating a predominantly vegetarian, dairy-free diet. What we are looking for in housemates: - a reliable, honest and compassionate person - transparency and trust-worthiness - MUST be LGBTIQ+ friendly and aware - relatively clean and cat friendly - easy-going, open-minded, well read and responsible - someone who matches similarly to our profile, has a sound work, rest, play balance What we don't want in housemates: - excessive drinking, partying, etc - expectations to socialize all the time - cat allergies/ dislike If this sounds like you or we sound like people you would see yourself living with - hit us up with a little bit about yourself, include your favorite film or song and why you love it. Happy house hunting x
Hello - looking for a social, eco inclined, likeminded household to join. Preferably with a nice garden I could contribute to. Originally from Sydney I've been in Melb for a bit over 7 years. I've settled into a nice circle of friends and community and feel like a naturalised creature of the inner north. I'm sociable, enjoy passing time with new and amusing people, but I am also pretty independent and am happy doing my own thing too. I love music. Both listening and playing a bit of guitar (generally along a folk/indie/country vibe) - more for therapeutic reasons than seriously. Cycling is a passion. I commute by bike but also like to disappear for hours on rides out in the hills. I also play soccer regularly. I try to have a creative projects going although at the moment it doesn't seem to much more than the compiling of lists, such are the demands of wage slavery. I'm also on a bit of a reading bender at the moment. I'm a keen gardener and at a minimum I'm worm farming with kitchen scraps and herb growing. I also come with a dwarf lemon tree, a kumquat tree and a bay tree. I cook a lot. And I love eating food. I manage my own fodder but I'm happy to fling a meal out to an unmotivated or tired fellow human from time to time. I consider myself a Veganesque-Garbagitarian - meaning, I don't intentionally eat animal things but am pretty relaxed about it, and don't like to waste. I don't care what others eat. But this is the kind of food I tend to put into my belly I have minimalist and frugal living inclinations, aiming to produce rather than just consume. Left leaning too, if that isn't already obvious. None of this should really impact on you - but it might be interesting to know. I do like to watch occasional television series, but tend to hide in bed with a laptop and binge when I do A house with the telly on nonstop would be a real drag. A drink? Every now and then? Don't mind if I do. But not suckling from a goon bag or passing out anymore. I'm an animal lover - so would be happy to become pals with your animals if you have any. In the past I've been friends with a Goldfish, a German Shepard, and 3 female rats (sisters). No pets now sadly. I've recently downsized all my things so have few items of furniture. However I have a keen and patient eye for vintage and tasteful ebay bargains so could help with furnishings over time. I clean up common areas like bathrooms and kitchens as I use them, so they are nice for the next person - and would prefer to live with others who have the same approach. I have lived alone in the past and during that time it was fun to see how many dishes you could stack into the sink before washing - but thankfully when share housing I'm far more civilised. I love dishwashers. I like to think that they love me back I am looking for mature, responsible and fun social peeps to live with. Social but also independent. Clean and tidy, and considerate. Intelligent chit chats, viewing the world with a critical and compassionate eye. Eco aware. A good sense of humour would be ideal. I think this possibly describes what everyone is looking for? I'm also looking for a quieter abode to be able to have a rest from the world, rather than a party house. I currently work as lawyer/policy person for a not-for-profit in the media sector, although I'm shortly going to be freelance. I have other income producing projects so paying rent and bills will never be a problem, but while I'm currently a 9-5-er, I won't be for much longer and would like to work from home occasionally. I hope the thumbnail sketch above of where i'm at and what my interests and motivations are may give you some idea of who I'm looking to live with. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
I'm Zoe and I like to be a very considerate, neat and reliable housemate. I am always respectful of other peoples' property and possessions. I am friendly and sociable but I also enjoy relaxing and some quiet time when I'm at home. I really enjoy playing soccer and swimming to keep fit and I'll be studying Exercise Science full time this year. I'm moving to Melbourne from Brisbane for a bit of an adventure and will enjoy spending time with friends and family who also live down there, as well as hopefully meeting lots of new people! :)
Hi everyone. I’ve recently arrived in Melbourne and am going to work at the Goethe Institute. Therefore, I am looking for a cozy little private room in which I can feel at home. Furnished would be perfect (a bed is pretty much all I need), sublet would work. Not too far from the city/Southbank/St. Kilda Rd. Cheers Lisa
23 year old professional working full time as a legal PA in South Yarra. I moved to Melbourne 2 years ago from Perth and have been living in Richmond since then, preferably looking for something around that area but open to new places depending on the circumstances. Super easy going, polite and clean! I love to socialise, going out for dinner/drinks/brunch etc. but also enjoy down time and chilling out with a glass of wine at home. Also interested in team ups and finding a place - preferably 2 bed 2 bath so feel free to reach out! I'm flexible with the move in date.

I love to socialise go out for drinks and dinner but also like a chilled night at home too. Looking for a female who is a girls girl in the hope of becoming friends not just flatmates. Also interested in pairing up and finding a place to live. Feel free to message me :)
Hey guys! My friend Rachael and I are two Scottish girls in Melbourne on a working holiday visa. We both work full time and are looking for somewhere to live for around 7/8 months. I am an ex-dance student, and my friend is a professional chef. Whilst we are in Melbourne we are both just working full time in an office. We don't take life too serious, very easy-going and respectful. We are both very clean and courteous. If you feel like you'd like us to live with you or have a place you think we'd be interested in feel free to get in touch with me! :)
Hi guys I work full time in IT and recently moved to Melbourne from Perth. I'm easygoing, very quite, respectful, clean, sociable and well versed in share house living. I can offer several references from past housemates I previously lived with in Perth. I have a car so I am looking for some kind of parking.
Hi everyone, I'm in thirties, matured, honest and respectful, being the kind of person who would not touch your things without permission and respect everyone's privacy. I prefer cleaning after oneself, and would respect the shared things/space in the house. I shall start PhD course at Swinburne University, with monthly stipend scholarship which can cover rental and other living expenses. Cheerful and and reflective, love music (singing and playing - but will not bother you with those noises), literature, doing some crafts etc. I'm also into martial arts and yoga (although not very good at them), reading books and don't watch TV very much. I love animals and nature too much, but unfortunately have just been discovered allergic to cats and dogs and alcohol recently. I used to raise many cats and dogs and got no problem, but now it turns out like that. A walk with you under the trees and enjoy the surroundings is perfect. Regarding socialising, it is great to have a little chat with housemates every now and then, go shopping or going out together. I cook Vietnamese food and also learned to cook some Western food, too. It is lovely to cook and enjoy some weekend meals together sometimes. If it sounds good to you, hopefully we can become housemates/flatmates to create a "home sweet home" in the future.

I am looking for a private room in a shared house or apartment. The location should be within 30 mins public transport to Melbourne CBD. Prefer non-pets and non-smoker. Hello! My name is Sarah, I am a vet from Ireland moving to Melbourne at the end of Feb for a year....hopefully more! I'll be working in Burwood East so would love somewhere near the 75 tram. I'm pretty easy going but I do like to keep things clean and tidy. I lived in house shares all through Uni so I know how to take the bins out and all that. I would love to find somewhere relaxed and homely that isn't a mad party house or really formal and sterile.......somewhere in between, where everyone gets along and can hang out together from time to time. When I'm not being attacked by cats at work I like all the usual things...eating/cooking, travel, going to gigs, napping, hummus. I am a terrible but ever enthusiastic surfer so will be making trips to the beach if you want to come along. That's about it...I can also tye dye if that's any help? Literally, how could that be any help. Oh and I can't keep a herb alive, I've killed like 6 basil plants in my life. Tragic. Sarah :)
Hey legends. Here's me at 33, trying to settle down, appreciate the small things, ya know? Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a drink and a sick party on the weekends but I'm more likely to find salvation in the pages of a book, the midst of a conversation or a meal on the stove than at the bottom of a bottle on a Tuesday night. I work 4 days a week as a web developer but I still harbour secret thoughts that the book I wrote last year will spark into a career as a journalist - that's what my fifth day is for - writing.

Heya! I’m Kelsey a 26y/o female looking for a new place to call home and some great people to share it with. I am a positive, down to earth person, enjoy a good chuckle and am friendly. I get along with most people. I have a 9-5 working remotely as a graphic designer (so I work from home, yes mainly in loungewear.) Because of this I need a room that will also accommodate a desk & bedroom furnishing (I come with my own). In the evening sometime I will side hustle and work on some freelance projects or blogger stuff. I like to be friends with the people I live with so I’d hope we’d catch up every now and again and share a dinner or drink from time to time. I would prefer to live with females but if you’re a male and can keep a clean house I will consider. Enough about me, what’s in it for you? I grantee that I will pay my bills on time, I will clean up and I will be respectful of our home and your space. Move in date..? I will need to give notice so give me a few weeks to get everything in line.

I am outgoing and social! The reason I am coming to Australia for the semester is to learn, meet, explore and discover the culture, the people and everything there is to offer. So nothing is off the table, open-minded. I am here to enjoy, have fun and learn. Can't wait to get there!
Hello! I'm looking to join a friendly household that has the right balance of hanging out together and doing our own thing. I work full-time as a youth worker, and in my spare time I'm either spending it with my boyfriend/friends/family, dragging myself outside to exercise, cooking vegetarian food, or parking myself on the couch to watch terrible tv. I'm considerate and respectful of others, and I love having a laugh/sharing dog videos to balance out the seriousness of my work. My other loves include hunting down the best brunch spots in Melbourne, going to a few gigs and music festivals here and there, and baked goods. My ideal housemates are around the same age or older, working full-time, easygoing, and tidy. I'm hoping to be moved in somewhere by mid-April so give me a shout if you think we'd be a good match! :)
Easy going, fun and friendly looking for cool liveable housemates to possibly start a new sharehouse or join a good existing one. I've been back in Melbourne just under a year having lived in London and travelled around the world for 3 years. I'm looking for some chilled but social housemates! Have done the houseshare thing before and made some awesome mates from it! As long as you're social, respectful and up for a good time we'll get along fine! I work full time in the city so anywhere inner northern suburbs is ideal.

Hey, I am a soon-to-be 25 year old Berliner studying cultural heritage at Deakin. So I am looking for a new home in Melbourne for the next six months (End of Feb./March until the end of August, ideally)! I have been living in shared living situations continuously since I moved out from home at 18, so I have plenty of experience with day-to-day flatshare operations. I am happy to spend communal time, am responsible, tidy and clean up after myself, enjoy cooking big meals, wine/beer and a chat, and absolutely respect when people need time for themselves (I do too!) I love art, visual culture, a good dance, reading, painting and drawing, trying to live green and sustainably, exploring and discovering new spaces, places and people. Hey all. This is Adam Hsieh, a digital artist from Shanghai, China. I lived in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. During my stay for Melbourne Art Fair last year, I fell in love with the city and decided to move here for study commercial cookery for 2 years. Now I'm looking for a shared house / apartment where I can call my new home in Melbourne. I'm a easygoing, reliable, well organized guy who always keeps the place clean. I love movies (blockbusters or indie / international), travel (India, Malaysia, Japan, UK, Gibraltar, Hong Kong and China, of course), cooking (taking a course at the moment), dancing (a shamelessly terrible dancer), Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (still a beginner, please show me mercy) and much more! Would love to share a good laugh, or two with my future flatmate. Please hit me up if you are looking for an amazing flatmate.
Hi future flatmates... I am Tejas. I am fun-loving, positive and vibrant. Currently working fulltime in the banking industry for one of the big 4. I have been renting in Melbourne for over 7 years, so I am housebroken and quite easy going. I have shared houses before and get along well with most people. I am clean, tidy, organised but don’t obsess over a bit of mess and clutter. I am a non-smoker teetotaller and down to earth. When I am not working, I like to curl up with a good book, take in a movie or watch some drama or reality TV. I enjoy exploring the city (always willing to try out new cafés and restaurants, as long as there are veggie options), board games and the occasional outing on a weekend. I have also recently started cooking :) Enjoy having a night in as well as night out. I make a great housemate as I am clean, respectful, considerate and always pay my rent on time (I can provide references ;P). I am friendly and sociable but also respect individual space and privacy. I enjoy coming home to some good conversation and a movie but understanding some people need to unwind by themselves. I'm not after a "full-on" party household, but am keen for hanging out with food and chats. I would be after a non-furnished home with lots of light. The vibe is important for me. I also want a room big enough for my bed, a computer desk, and space for all my books and movies. In terms of furniture/stuff I can bring with me, I have a 46” LED, BluRay home theatre, fridge, washing machine + dryer as well as general knick-knacks such as a sandwich press, iron, etc. My potential housemates will ideally be non-smoking and drug-free who are mature, clean, respectful and considerate of their fellow housemates. I am wanting to find a place where I can feel at home and potentially make new friends. I am trustworthy, mature, clean, reliable and excited to find my new home and flatmates!
In case people need to know more about me as a housemate, this is the same intro I've put on flat mates: I'm outgoing, a fun personality , enthusiastic , very adjusting , ready to experience almost anything. All this said, I know when someone needs their space. I respect all kinds of belief systems. I am an avid reader, sports and photography enthusiast. I play lawn tennis regularly. I love pets and kids and flowers and all things nice. Now for the mundane mandatory introductory stuff: I'm from Bangalore , india, currently pursuing a masters course in Analytics at RMIT. I'm in my second semester.
