I'm moving to Melbourne to study next year, so I'll be working part time and studying. I like music and go to a lot of gigs, and am also into sport (mainly AFL). I'm very reliable, tidy. and easy going. I like to socialise with my housemates, but also respect people's space and like to have time to myself as well.
I'm a software developer working in Docklands, originally from NSW (Coffs Harbour), and a lapsed physics major. Also, Mao (my cat) is friendly with humans and dogs (with a little coaxing). Primarily interested in a team-up with 2-3 people. Personally, I'm easy-going, tidy (shared areas, I'd be lying if I said my room was spick and span), and like music, chilling with a glass of wine and a good book, cooking, building things and watching the various social and political trainwrecks in motion (like is a strong word). I'm reasonably quiet and like a sharehouse that is too (noise after midnight on a worknight isn't ideal. Morning isn't as much of a concern, as I'm off to work pretty early). Also, bonus features: an espresso machine, Netflix subscription, pretty decent at baking.
Looking for a room early January 2018. I will be working full time in St Kilda and would love to live close to work or easy enough to commute via public transport. I am 27, a very caring person who will get along with anyone. I am very social and looking to make new friends. Not a week day partier but I do love a social drink out with friends or over a nice dinner. Favourite things to do on the weekends is visit friends, go explore Melbourne and play with makeup! Very respectful of others and their privacy but happy to also hang out.
Hi there, I live in South Yarra (near Chapel St) atm, now I'm looking for more peaceful and calm place. I'm tidy, positive and easygoing person. If you have any pets, this can be beneficial for both side, I'm loving them, happy to take care of them as well. Of course, in my remaining time after my job. I'm not in rush, I would like to move somewhere which I can stay long. Feel free to contact with me for any detail Cheers,
I'm a University of Melboune PhD student looking for something closer to uni so I can focus on my passion for sleeping in. The PhD money isn't a lot but it's more than enough to cover the bills and its secure for the next three years. I like live music, singing and dancing (objectively bad at both), cocktails, board games, beer, film and tv, naps, and hummus. The main thing I'm looking for is cool, laid back housemates that I can get along with, have a beer or three and hang out with, share the occasional meal etc. I like to keep to myself and do my own thing sometimes but generally I love being social, although I'm typically pretty quiet and introverted until you get to know me. Clean, friendly and open minded, also hella gay. (That's a lie I'm just regular gay). I could also bring (or not bring) a couch, table and chairs, and a tumble dryer that's like 6 star energy efficiency so it's pretty cheap to run.
I'm a Canadian PhD candidate at Monash U. I'll be great to live with because you'll likely have the place to yourself most times. Chances are, I'll be working most of the time. However, that being said, I love watching movies and traveling and meeting new people when I get the opportunity. I'm very clean and tidy, so you'll never have to worry about me leaving a mess.
Hi future flatmate! I'm Rob, I work in digital marketing and account management corporate sales growing small to medium sized businesses and start-ups and also for Energy Australia (Lucky you! I can half our power and gas bill) but...I stay in touch with my artistic roots also. I value intellect and creativity. I'm always interested in learning something new from a genuine character. Ps, I'm a Kiwi! but no I do not want a "chup"... I'm counting macros. I'm pretty easy going and balanced. I get along with people who are also. I value authenticity, communication, humor, fitness, music, and I like to network. I'm tidy and clean but not OCD by any means. I'm big on personal development with some pretty challenging goals I'm excited about in the pipeline but I'm equally as excited to hear about yours and maybe even help if you like. I have some side projects I've been working on for a few years that do occupy my attention from time to time so I only ask you don't worry where I am if I'm busy working on them but I'm just going to put it out there casually... I'm fun. I look forward to hearing from you. Robin
Hello there, My name is Saba. I am 25, and I am from India although I've lived most of my life in Oman. I'm quite easy going, relaxed, helpful and respectful of others space. In my spare time I like to read or sketch/paint or even binge watch something. I'm an outgoing person which means I'm always up for trips, live music shows or even just a walk outside. I love listening to anything that is rock particularly the 80s and 90s stuff. I like keeping fit, make my own meals and bake sometimes. 420 friendly. I am currently studying construction management at Swinburne University and work at a subcontractors office during the week and work as a waitress on casual basis. I am currently vacationing in Oman and really need a place when I get back so I'm not homeless :P I will be ready to move in after the 16th of Jan. If anyone out there has something for me and wouldn't mind me for company pleaseeee do let me know :)
***looking to team up and find a rental together!*** Hello new friends, I’m a 32 year old academic moving from Perth to Melbourne for a research job in early 2018. I’ll be working out in Ravenhall Prison, but I’d like to be based in north-ish Melbourne. Because I’ll be driving to work I’ll need an off-street car park. I’m looking to just share with one other person, maybe two (I’m past my share-house days). Because I'm moving with all my house things (fridge, washing machine, etc..) my preference would be to perhaps find someone to team up with that doesn't have those things to find a rental together, rather than move into a room at an existing furnished place. I come with two indoor-only cats, my 2ish year old ginger boys Billy and Bo. They are fantastic, quiet, clean cats and being indoor they never get into trouble (except for pushing objects off counters, obviously). I’ve heard it’s not as hard to find rentals that allow pets these days in Melbourne, so I hope that’s definitely true. I would like to have the company of a roommate but also the space to chill by myself when needed. I'm on the lookout for someone similar, having mutual respect for each other and our belongings and all those commonsense things. I am not crazy (in the murder sense), not much of a partyer, but not adverse to going out for fun-times/having the occasional shin dig at home. In fact, I probably need to do a little more of that, make some new Melbourne friends Ideally would get to know potentially roomies a little (over the net or however) before living together, feel free to contact me for questions or a chat.
Hi! I am a 20+ female from Malaysia and have been residing in Australia for many years, currently pursuing a Master degree in Landscape Architecture and will be working and studying in Melbourne starting next year. From my past 6 times of house sharing experience, and several times of sharing rooms at hostels, I have a reputation of being a clean, tidy, and responsible house/roommate. I speak 4 languages, namely English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and Spanish; and I am an avid traveler. I have just done a big backpack round tour in Europe, had traveled to Japan, and did work and study in China, Ireland and Spain. I consider myself to be an open-minded and mature person, also should be fun to be with as told by my friends. I enjoy cooking and baking, which I don't mind sharing the food with my future flatmates. I am also into arts and design, photography, books, linguistic, culture and history, plants, fitness and DIY. Happy with locations within an hour public transport time distance from city center, within the public transport Zone 1 + 2, even if not listed in my "Preferred location" section below. Please drop me a message if you think I sound like a friend-to-have / someone who should be living at your flat right now! I don't mind teaming up with like-minded people to rent a property too.
Moving mid Jan 2018 from Sydney to Melbourne and looking for a place to stay with sociable housemates who enjoy their quiet time as much as they do watching bad reality TV over wine and pizza or heading out for dinner or drinks every now and then. Few quick facts about me: - moving to Melb for work and uni, currently working in the not-for-profit sector as a programs coordinator and studying at RMIT - Massive fan of the sea and snow, love being outdoors in general on the weekends - love to travel (used to live in Switzerland for a while) - enjoy going out for social drinks or a boogie every now and then (rooftop bars are my favourite) and can't say no to a good live gig or sunday session. - love to cook and eat (both at home and out) - I'm housebroken in terms of my own room may be a bombsite at times but I have a huge respect for the cleanliness of common areas i.e. kitchen and bathrooms (hopefully you do too!) - am quite a social person but similar to everyone else also enjoy some quiet alone time to unwind, I'm respectful of others' privacy as well.
Hi there! My name is Eugene, I have recently completed my BA in Canberra at ANU and am moving to Melbourne early next year to begin my Masters study in Design Strategy and Innovation at Swinburne. Devouring music (particularly of the electronic persuasion) and reading takes up most of my spare time. I love Melbourne's vibe and am looking forward to exploring and embracing all it has to offer. I am good for a chat and (reportedly) an organised and tidy person. I can also keep to myself when necessary - always handy in a share house! I look forward to meeting you :-)
Hi there! I like to think I'm pretty easy going and I can make a decent coconut fish curry that I'm always happy to share around. I like my own space but I'm always keen to have a drink or two. I'm an English teacher, but don't worry: I promise I'll keep my opinions about your spelling and grammar to myself.
I live a quiet lifestyle, but aren't anti social. I like to have a chat over a glass of wine or a coffee. I respect my flat mates space, privacy and property and like the same in return. I've travelled fairly extensively and always keen to learn more about other cultures and countries. I have been self employed for the majority of my adult life and am currently building a new business. Im a non smoker and prefer to live in a smoke free home. I love animals, so will be thrilled if you have a cat or dog. I've recently moved to melbourne.
Hello! My friend and I are looking for a place where to live together and we want to share house or flat with people who don’t speak Spanish only English. Good environment. We are tidy, friendly, clean and fun.
Hi there! Need a reliable roomie that has lived in multiple houses/flats/accommodation for both long term and short term and knows how to be a general considerate human? Well, I'm yah gal!! 26 year old Brit (who makes a mean cup of tea) on my second year working visa. I have till May 9th left and am looking to move around early Jan (flexible) so that's a solid 4 months. I am an artist by trade, but paying the bills by currently working in online customer care for a fashion brand (super exciting...). I am very social so am usually out with my pals if I am not at work. I can respect if you'd want the party kept at the pub, but also love a home where I can have some friends round or even better share a bottle with you! I'm not back in Melbourne until the first week of January so can't physically visit until then but always happy to chat or even Skype if you feel I could be the perfect match for you!
Hey all! My weirdo of a cat Chandler and I are looking for a place to live/people to team up with potentially. I am a full time worker at RMIT University in the city, queer+queer friendly, left leaning, mostly vegetarian (but am not bothered about being in a meat eating or vego/vegan household) and very well house trained. I've been in Melbourne for over 5 years and grew up overseas in Vietnam, Kuwait, Malaysia, and England. Could live by myself but would be good to live with a some other people who like cats/don't mind living with one/don't mind having a cat give you cuddles from time to time. On weekdays I'm pretty low-key after work and just like to chill out with a tv show or potentially have housemate dinner/drinks from time to time and on the weekends I'm usually out and about. A house where everyone gets along with each other but also respects each other's space would be rad. Pretty much open to living with anyone so slide into my DMs if you're interested :)
