I recently moved from Vancouver, BC, Canada to Melbourne. I'm here on a one year visa and I'm currently looking for employment. I completed an MA in English Literature. I'm hoping to get into music journalism but I might end up with a barista job while I'm here instead. I'm friendly and empathetic. I keep a clean and well organized home. I've lived with male and female roommates for the last six years. I'm social but I'm content to spend time on my own too. I like to think I have great taste in music.
My name is Alex, I'm 26/f. I'm currently working as English language teacher. I like a relaxed home with a bit of socialising but I am also happy to live independently. Wine or cups of tea with housemates is lovely. I play music, I love the keys and singing. I practice yoga and I love reading. I've lived outside of Melbourne twice, in the tropics of Darwin and in Spain. I'm currently here in Melbourne, looking for a place!

Hey! My boyfriend and I graduated university in England and after working for a few months went backpacking in Asia for four months which has been amazing. We're now arriving to Australia from the Philippines. We want to work and live in Melbourne because it sounds like a really cool and arty city to live in with a lot going on. We're tidy and have lived in house shares before. We're both laid back and friendly and are just looking for some nice people to live with for around 6-8 weeks from the second week of March (6th onwards) although we're a bit flexible because we both have family we can stay with for a bit. I enjoy running and going to the gym although actually I've done no exercise for like five months. I also like socialising and having a drink. I'm from Cornwall so I love a good beach as well. Ben's favourite hobbies are hiking and complaining. We both like a bit of yoga but we never do it! Pleaaase get into contact if you think you have any options that suit our dates. We're open to many options. Cheers!
Hi there, I am Peter, a 34 year old Melbournian looking for a place to stay long term. Having shared flats in the past, I would like to share again to have a good space to rest after work or the outdoors - and to enjoy the company of mates for a late brekkie or with a good glass of red at night. I am happy to share with guys or girls having done so before. Currently I am working full time as an analyst in the CBD - and otherwise love surfing, the outdoors and salsa. I do not smoke and I am used to cleaning regularly, sharing fridges and the kitchen and to respecting each others private space - and friends tend to say I am fairly easy going and pleasant to be around. If you think this sounds like the flat mate you’re looking for, I’d love to come by to get to know each other and find out more about the details. Cheers, Peter
Hey! My name is Amna. I'm 25 and from Sweden. I have studied a master of science programme in pharmacy at Uppsala University in Sweden. I'm a registered pharmacist who is moving to Melbourne to start my PhD at University of Melbourne. I'm looking to move in between the 15th and 20th of March. I'm big on socializing. Would describe myself as a friendly and positive person. I'm very open minded and love discussions concerning both politics and feminism. On my spare time I love hanging out with friends, going for dinners, dancing, being out in nature. I'm studious, and love reading when I have any time over. I have many great experiences living with other people, both in Sweden and abroad, and have become a really close friends to my previous room mates. I'm both tidy and clean and always makes sure to pay rent and bills on time.
Hello Potential new House mate! I’m not one to toot my own horn so I have asked some of my friends to send me reviews. After receiving those reviews I have carefully selected, edited and fluffed them to make them appropriate for this format ‘ A charming Goofball’, ‘What a guy!’, ‘Really good fellow to watch a movie or play a game with’, ‘can play the guitar’ I’m an engineer working my first full time job. I’m in the weird transition stage between uni goer and adult and I enjoy a good mix of intense fun having and super chilling. I sing in the shower and love musicals and theatre. I am living healthy, and gymming as often as I can. Wouldn’t mind getting into a sport if you’re game. I like board games and have a couple. I jam with my band on Sundays and play board games with them too. As you may have gathered by now, we have not broken America yet. Come watch us play. It will be our first live gig. I love cooking, riding my push bike and gaming as well. I have built myself a little beast of a PC and I’m thinking of buying the new Nintendo switch. Yes! A switch! Things that I have: a brilliant Koala mattress, a desk and a PC I’d like to move into a place that is unfurnished but am happy to move into a place that is furnished as well. I am really looking for like minded people of a similar age who are respectful, fun and wonderful people. I’m very excited to get to know you and start a new adventure!

I've lived in share houses for quite some time, from 1 other person to 7 other people, so I've seen it all! I'm in school and working two part time jobs, so I'm pretty busy but always down for a chat. I'm tidy and neat in communal spaces and respectful of peoples privacy and schedules (i.e. when I need to be quiet). Happy to team up with others looking for a place as well!
Both working full time and able to pay bond asap. Jasmine is a hairdresser so cheap/free cuts! I work in hospo so will be bringing left over food home. Both sociable but not loud/party people. Love a good wine now and then
I'm a super friendly, high energy, creative Canadian who enjoys listening to nick cave, watching netflix docos, and blogging. I'm clean, courteous, and quiet. Can't wait to meet my future flatmate(s)!
Hey! I'm currently looking into moving to Melbourne by the end of next week (11th March move-in date). A bit about me, my name is Besiat, 29yo from Sydney. I've been working as an RN for the last five years, recently I finished masters in international public health and was offered a job in Melbourne. Very excited for what's ahead. I'm easy going, down to earth, I like to keep the space clean, I enjoy good conversations and respect others space when needed. I'm considerate of others and expect that people are the same way towards me. I believe in open communication and honesty. I'm looking for a place in area's I listed. I will be free for inspection from 1st of March to 4th of March so if you happen to have place free available in that time, I will like to see it. Inbox me! :) xx
I'm clean and tidy and easy going. Will be working 9-5 and saving up money so I won't be going partying very much. In the evenings I'm happy to chill out and watch a movie or play video games with housemates, but I don't need constant social interaction and can occupy myself. Just want some housemates I can have a chat with and maybe go for a beer with now and again :)
Hello potential flatmates! I'm a 24 year old American who finished uni in 2015 and has been living abroad since then. I've been in Melbourne for 2.5 months now on a WHV and absolutely love it, so I'm planning to spend the rest of the year here. I'm looking for not only a cozy and clean place to call home, but also for some open, fun and interesting people to call friends! I will be working as much as possible and studying a little bit casually on the side, but I'd also like to get out to explore Melbourne and take advantage of all it has to offer. Besides that, I like to eat healthy and exercise, rock climb, dance, read, watch Netflix, and be outside. I do also like to have some time to myself, but would still always at least enjoy a nice chat or shared glass of wine. As a flatmate I am very self-aware and conscientious, I always clean up after myself, and I prefer to keep things organized. I can go with the flow of what your house has to offer: if you prefer to keep a calm and quiet household, that is totally me. If your house has a lot of foot-traffic and some fun on the weekends, I am up for that as well! Mostly I'm just out for a happy and well-connected place. I am flexible on the move-in date but am thinking it should be around mid-March or April, and I do require rooms that are furnished. Please, if you think I might be right for your spot, don't hesitate to contact me or ask me any further questions! Cheers :)
Clean and tidy, fun, relaxed shift worker who fixes planes at Tullamarine. I like rock climbing and being active as well as relaxing with a beer after work. Enjoy gaming and netflix as much as the next person. Im new to Melbourne as of march 8th and am relocating from newcastle nsw due to work. Dont know many people around the melbourne area so a friendly social house would be awesome.
Hi, I'm Toni, and I'm looking for a house that's a home, not just a room. I'm environmentally focused and socially progressive, wanting to create a positive and collaborative household that values sustainability (recycling, composting, green power, waste minimisation) and sociability. Full-time employed, non-smoker and single, I enjoy being outdoorsy (hiking, rock climbing, gardening) but am also seriously nerdy (Like, masters degree in environmental governance level nerdy). I like sharing wine/coffee and conversation, cooking, and hugs. I don't like lots of TV, house parties or recreational drug use. I love to laugh and have a sense of humour that ranges from dark to sick and through to dad (very punny). Dog-compatible but sadly allergic to cats. I'm clean and tidy, good with money and occasionally homesick for Tasmania but starting to settle in to this whole Melbourne deal. If you like the sound of me and have a room free, or would consider teaming up to find a place, drop me a line.
Hey I'm Amy, When I asked my friend what to write in this bio she said i was fun. Although it's true it's probs not the most constructive thing to say. I consider myself to be a normal human being: friendly, easy going, considerate and clean. Looking for a social household, respects others but also doesn't mind a chat or a cheeky bev. I work full time in HR, but outside of workla I like to go to gigs/festivals, drinks with friends, travel and attempt to keep active at the same time. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message :)
Hi! I'm from England originally but have been in Melbourne for over 6 years now and have finally got my citizenship lat year. I originally came over on a working holiday but then got sponsorship through my work as a software developer and kind of found myself building a good friendship base here and got used to the lifestyle and now I can't leave! I'm into music and make a bit of of it myself. I was in a soul band for two or three years and ended up recording an EP written by myself and my good friend Sarah, which I also recorded and produced on my laptop. That was more work than I thought I can tell you! I like to have some sort of music project on the go although it's taken a little bit of a back burner in the last year as I've been moving jobs and moved house. I'm starting to think about just getting back to playing some open mic style gigs. I'm currently living with a couple of friends in Coburg, but they are about to take a year or more out to go travelling around Australia so I'm trying to find somewhere new to call home. I love to meet new people of all kinds and consider myself to be fairly left-leaning in my views on the world. I studied Philosophy & AI at University, which admittedly was a while ago now but still find myself pondering... well, everything. I like going out for a few drinks from time to time but can't handle my beer like I used to. I'm currently working on a project developing a mobile application which i'm really enjoying!
I'm making the move down to Melbourne from Canberra (but don't hold that against me) after graduating from ANU. I'm planning on working fulltime this year as a barista (I know, fulfilling every stereotype ever) and then doing post-grad study next year. I've lived in a share house before, I love cooking and I'm happy to do my own thing but also love a chat and the occasional bev.
HI! My name is Kirstin and I am not new to the share house thing :-) I am clean, hilarious (I like to think so) and I know all about personal space. I make a mean spaghetti bolognese and I know how to stack the sink after I've done the dishes! I am able to provide a rent reference if need be, I don't come with any pets or kids and am also able to pay bond upfront. Please get in touch with me if you have anything available! Thank you!
I'm Suzie from Germany and I'm very open-minded, easy-going and uncomplicated. I'm very impressed by Melbourne and I want to make the best of my stay here. When I'm not at work, I love to cook and spending some time with my lovely friends. Furthermore I love petting my cat Filou and listen too electronic music and deep house. One of my biggest interests is fashion...I'm literally a fashion addict. Since I have a full-time job here in Melbourne I'm reliable to pay the weekly rent. Cleanliness and respect for the host are self-evident to me. I want to explore as much as possible in Melbourne and it would be cool, if you're also an open-minded person, who can give me some recommendations :)
i am pretty laid back, active most of the week, loves to cook and don't mind sharing grocery, work full time at a restaurant in the city, and also a musician play a few instruments and records too. tidy respectful and pays bills in time.
Hey ya! Here is Mika from Argentina you will be sharing your house with a happy and friendly person, easy - going, tidy, responsible and respectful. I enjoy meeting people and sharing stories but I also enjoy to spend time on my own. I have always lived in share houses and were always great experiences. I'm a creative person, passionate about all expressions of art, it could be from painting, dancing to cooking. Free salsa lessons guys haha Back home I used to work in the industry of entertainment and I came to Melbourne to kick-start my career here. That doesn't mean I am an animal party. Probably I used to be one, but now I enjoy more having friends for dinner at home an of course I would love if you join us.
Hi! I am a 28 y/o Swedish girl who just returned to Melbourne to study communication design at Billy blue college. Lived in Melbourne for a year before this when I was on my working holiday visa. That was my first experience of a shared home and I'd say I like the concept. I am a very outgoing and social person but I also value my own down time. When it comes to common areas I'm super clean, yet not OCD about anything. I'm looking for my own room/shared room in an apartment somewhere in the city or closest suburbs. I am currently waiting to move in to a place I've accepted so right now in only looking for short term stays. Move in date for my new place is on the 14:th of April. So I'm looking for accomodation between now and the 14:th of April. Unfortunately I'm a tad allergic to cats and dogs. Like I mentioned I'm a very social person so I like having people around me. I'll be studying full time and work, as an in home kitchen planner, on the weekends and some extra hours during the week. Have got a huge interest for home decoration, love music, cooking and running. On the weekend you'll find me spending time with friends and working ofcourse. /Hillevi Ps. I'm sure my former housemate is ok with answering any questions you might have about me as a housemate.
Hi :-) I'm Daniela. I work as both a primary school teacher and a massage therapist. I'm a very experienced share-houser, and am currently searching for my next home. I am very house proud, so I am seeking a well cared for home to share with like-minded individuals.
To whom it may concern, I'm interested in the room and am ready to move in on th 6th march. I'm very easy going. I'm very neat and tidy. I'm sociable, but I also enjoy alone time. I work in the building industry. More than happy to do my share of housework. I do smoke....never inside though. Hope to hear from you. Regards Nick
Pretty easygoing and chilled guy. Enjoy knocking over a few vino's alongside a good chinwag and laugh. Also respect the need for space at times. Pretty well house trained in the cleaning department. Hit me up!
Who wants to live with me? Looking for a shareroom / flat / squad / garden / anything to call home :) I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. After living on the road, in a van and in a hammock for a while I decided I want to stick around and settle down instead of being some kind of homeless (which is really cheap tho, can definitely recommend it). No kiddin', it just feels like it's time to find a place to call home again and experience the daily life in Melbourne. At the moment I am working 2 days in the week but I'm planning to work as much as possible in the next few months. I'm a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam and I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. After 8 years of working full time at the office as young professional in Telecommunications and IT, I decided to quit my job and start traveling the world. This because I realized my current life situation was simply not going to make me happy in the end. I'm a really chilled out and social guy. Stress and worries doesnt exist in my life, life is just perfect as it is. I love having a beer while talking and philosophize about life and the beautiful world we are living in. One of my biggest hobbies is socializing with people from all over the world. I'm reliable, friendly, respectful, open-minded, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beer & 420 and I am a music lover in general, I think genres doesnt really matter; when it's good, it's good! :) I also would love to learn how to play any instrument, so living with a musician would be totally awesome. Other things I love and appreciate: food & cooking, (extreme-) sports, nature/camping/hiking, sustainable living, coffee, movies, spirituallity and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy plase to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Carlton, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor, South Yarra or surrounding area's. A garden with some fruits of vegetables would be amazing, cause I really want to improve my skills in growing my own food. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you have a place available don't hesitate to contact me so we can meet up for a chat and to get to know each other. Hope to hear something from you soon! Peace & blessings <3
Alright, I'm pretty much always relaxed and an easygoing kind of guy. Basically all about having a good time, enjoy a good night out, music, doing any type of sports, watching netflix and good food. In terms of living, I clean up after myself and do not mind helping around the house if needed. Some background information grew up near Manchester, England. Studied architecture, been travelling for the past two years. Lived in various parts of the world currently Melbourne is home, working full time as a driver, saving for my next trip. Most of my spare time is spent watching films, reading or playing guitar. Looking forward to meet you, cheers.
I am the Lifestyle & Fashion Editor of a local paper in the city, and my younger brother Jordan studies full time at RMIT to become a chiropractor and earns a living through playing soccer. We're both sociable but have quite demanding schedules so need our private down time to just unwind and crash too! We're both tidy and considerate too :) hope to hear from you!
We are a lesbian couple from Scotland. We have been living in Sydney for the past 7 months and we are now looking to move to Melbourne. Stephanie is a Photographer, currently working at The photo Studio and Molly is a hairdresser working for Murphy Gozzard. We are both very down to earth, love a chat and good company. We love going new places, out for dinners and drinks, cinema trips, the usual stuff. We're not big party goer's but we like to have a good time. We are very clean and tidy, molly is the messier of the two tho :p Steph's the cook and molly is great at ordering food in. We respect others privacy and hope u can respect ours too. We are looking for a flat were we can live but also make friends.
Hey guys! My name's Srikanth and I moved to Melbourne about 2 years ago to study at UniMelb. Now that I've graduated, I'll be starting work next week at a consulting firm and I'm looking to move in to a new place. I'd ideally like to stay in 2-bedroom apartment with another working professional, but I'm not too rigid about that. I'm quite easy-going and tidy and can be a fun housemate!
Hey there, Me (I have a friendly cat) and my mate, both 29, are looking for 2 other people interested in inspecting houses with the goal of going to inspections and hopefully landing and moving into a place we like. Vego/vegans preferred but we want to keep our options open. We're both down to earth and are pretty chill to live with and talk to. We respect people's things and their personal space. We both work. If you're interested shoot us a message and we can meet up for a beer/coffee/whatever you like and take it from there. LGBT+ friendly
How do you write these without sounding like a bad Tinder profile? Here's my attempt! I'm 28, a graphic designer and photographer who's freshly back from London. I've got a full time job working for 100 Burgers (Mr Burger/Belles Hot Chicken/Welcome To Thornbury) running social media and being an all-rounder creative. In my downtime I love to watch movies (especially bad 80s action flicks) listen to hip-hop and cook (a LOT). Love sports (watching and playing), vintage nerd (I come with a PS4), using parenthesis (like this), geek out over typefaces and interior design and am a low-key hypebeast. If you want to catch up for a drink and see if I'm a good fit for your house, holla back!
Hi, I'm Stephen I have a five year old boxer dog, that is a high priority for me so the house mate that I'm looking for has to be an animal person. I like to make my house a home, I'm a very clean and organised person. I work full time, and enjoy keeping myself fit going to the gym regularly, at night I like to wind down and get ready for the following day, I enjoy cooking, the occasional glass of wine, and I'm not a big all night party person. I don't have a preferred flat mate, and it doesn't bother me if you have children or pets, the main priority is someone with respect and a person that wants a nice home. Happy to slide into the right place, or set up something. Not in a rush to find anything but if the right option arises, can make things move quickly. If you think we could work let's catch up for a coffee, open to locations and price, prefer inner city, always lived inner south east.
My name is Kyla and I am a Canadian. My boyfriend Tyler (Tyler is an Aussie) and I are currently renting a loft in Carlton North, but are looking to move into something a little bit more affordable for us. I am here on a work visa so we are trying to save up some money to go travelling around Australia towards the end of my visa (October 2017) We’ve spent the past few years living in London and travelling around Europe and have recently reunited in Melbourne. I normally work in the Film Industry in the wardrobe department and also in Festival coordination. I'm still hustling for Film work out here, but recently started a job at a photography company. Tyler is currently working at a cafe in Northcote and also does research and policy for an Environmental organisation. In our down time we enjoy going to the cinema, discovering new restaurants, attending galleries, gourmet picnics (really just wine and olives) and live music.

My name is Ben Gunn and I am a 22 y/o recent graduate from the University of Canterbury in NZ. I'm moving to Melbourne on March 8 for a change of scenery, work and to meet new people. I have been flatting for the past 4 years while at uni so I know how to keep a place spotless, respect other peoples boundaries, while also having a good time! I love sports (rugby, cricket, basketball etc) and play a bit of cricket and basketball when possible. I do a bit of gaming on ps4, but don't spend countless hours on it! I enjoy a beer or six every now and then, and always like exploring new places. I am also into learning about the world around me, as I think it is important in today's day and age to have an open mind!
I have just moved from Scotland to Melbourne and am looking to find a flat (preferably a house share with other working backpackers) in/around Melbourne CBD. I am easy to get on with, clean and tidy and love meeting new people. I'm looking to move in somewhere asap!

I'd love to live in the inner suburbs but I'm fairly open minded if the right places comes along.

I speak French and Italian and understand Spanish :) My hobbies include: long boarding, playing the ukulele, exploring, reading, chilling with friends, cooking and eating, finding cute animals. photography, discussing conspiracy theories and listening to thunderstorms on Youtube. I have done the whole Uni experience and am not looking for a party house, that said I do want to get to know you! Moreee than happy to chat over a beer or red wine (cab merlot) after work! As a housemate I am sociable but also respectful of alone time, patient, open minded, tidy and helpful! I love animals so if you have a pet that is most definitely not a problem. If I get my machine shipped over I can make hand made pasta, I will always be ready to make you some goooood espresso! I have a wonderful girlfriend so I would like for her to visit sometimes on weekends but to be honest we mostly go to hers anyway! I look forward to meeting some new people and having a bit of cultural exchange, however I was recently told that I make the best fairybread ever, controversial I know! Ciao!!
