Hi! I'm Tim. I'm a 22 year old student looking for a place to rent for the last year of my Masters degree. I'm a friendly, chatty guy who endeavours to get along with everyone. I love conversation and being around people. I'm neat and tidy and get chores done sooner rather than later. I try to treat Uni like a job, that way my mornings and evenings are free. I enjoy reading, playing the occasional video game, having the frequent netflix binge, and fitting in exercise when I can. Assignments and exams get pretty full on, so I'm looking to move in with some other students who'll be cool with me disappearing into the books for a few weeks throughout the year. I'm originally from the country, so I tend to spend a few weekends up north in the Summer time fishing, boating and visiting family, but I'm all yours for the rest of the year. My move in date is flexible. I can move in as late as the end of Feb. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi I am a graduate student studying full time at the university of Melbourne. Looking for a place to move in in January and would like to meet some new flatmates :) I am a clean and organised person and am looking for a home that is tidy and comfortable to relax and study in.
Professionally I'm an electrical engineer (but one of the ones who talks to people, I swear!) going to be working at Telstra next year - if you've had a terrible experience with them I am so sorry, please don't hold it against me! Personally I am pretty easy going, am Australian but have lived in the Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, France and Sweden, like music, travel, reading, vegetarian food (I don't care what you eat, though. I mean if it's really weird I might judge, but I promise I'll do it silently), podcasts, trying to keep up my French, running and entertain myself by following the trainwreck that is American politics right now. I've previously house-shared with one other person and 9 other people before so have a decent range of experience, am now looking for either a room in a household where vacuuming happens at least sometimes and people clean their dishes before leaving the kitchen, or to team up with someone and rent a place nearish the CBD. Prefer no pets with free rein of the house as sadly I have allergies.
Hey. I’ve recently moved to Melbourne and have secured a job as a nurse in one of the major hospitals - The next step is finding somewhere to live. I’m keen to meet like minded people and gain a bit of a friend base here, as well as somewhere to live. I’m pretty easy going and tidy. I love food, LOVE cooking as well as eating out. I’m keen to try lots of new things in Melbourne. Due to working shift patterns at the hospital, I’ll be tied up alot with work and I’d need a place to unwind and relax, with maybe a glass of wine in the evenings :)

French man here on a working holiday visa! Used to share houses with other people, tidy, clean, quiet, respectful, friendly, open-minded, and easy to live with. I like music (used to play drum but not in the house), gigs, movies, art & creativity in all their forms, travels, skateboarding, unicycling, as well as meeting new people coming from every horizon to share a conversation/beer/glass of wine/dinner/jam with. Back home I worked as a creative copywriter in advertising for 8 years, in the exciting heart of Paris. Here, I work here and there to afford my living and my next travels but I try to keep some free time on the weekends to enjoy the aussie lifestyle.
Heya! I'm a 22 year old Swedish guy. I've been in Australia since mid October and I'm here on a working holiday visa. At the moment I have money saved and don't need to work, but I will look for jobs once I get settled in Melbourne. I am a calm and peaceful person. I tend to not take up a lot of space and make too much noise. I'm comfortable with groups of people aswell as going solo. I'm very clean and organised and I like to keep things tidy. I'm an active person, I play ultimate frisbee with a local Melbourne team and I work out a couple times a week. I also enjoy chill evenings at home aswell as nights out in the city. I eat and drink like a horse. My main hobbies and interests are sports, movies, video games, history, design and (obviously) travelling! :)
Hi everyone, my name is Melissa. I am a student of Melbourne University and looking for a furnished private room in a non-smoking house/flat, close to the Parkville Campus and supermarkets. As a housemate, I love clean, tidy and relaxing environment, thus I will be happy to do the regular cleaning tasks together. The above mentioned weekly budget is for all-included rent utilities (electricity, water, gas, internet). I will be staying at Melbourne for 2 years starting early 2018 and preferably will stay the place for at least 6 months (and hopefully longer if it is very good). Please let me know if you have any vacancies information. Thank you.
Hi, My name is Evelyne, I am 26 and work full-time M-F in the city as account manager in a French company. Pretty busy with work during the week, I like to chill out and relax on weekends. Currently living in a flatshare in the CBD, I am looking for a nice furnished and sunny room in Melb inner suburbs and would enjoy living with sociable and tidy housemates. About me: - Neat, laid-back and easy-going - Love travelling, cooking, baking, ballet dance and yoga - Wine & Cheese lover - Non-smoker and vegetarian (but all fine with meat eaters) - Pay rent and bills on time If you want more details about me, I would be more than happy to have a chat. Cheers, Eve
Hi there, I'm Zoe! I currently study a masters at the University of Melbourne and work part time as a music teacher/tutor/research assistant. I'm a pretty easygoing housemate and well house-trained. I don't like to bring work/study home with me, so home is ideally a place to relax. I'm pretty social and up for a chat but also enjoy my own downtime. I'm hoping to find a house with a similar rhythm, whether it be with other students or full-time workers.
We're returning from living in Switzerland in February 2018 - looking for a place that could become available around then. Dylan is a social worker originally from Adelaide and Ezgi is studying a Masters in Construction Management at Melbourne Uni. We're both pretty easy going - enjoy our own space, but also enjoy a casual drink. Dylan loves cooking and we love good food. We enjoy travelling, weekends away camping and both volunteer as Scout leaders in our spare time. By the way, the dog in the picture isn't ours!
Hi I'm Tee, I'm 24 from the UK and I'll be moving to Melbourne in January to start studying veterinary medicine at unimelb. I'm super easy going, very tidy, always up for hanging out - going to gigs or out for drinks. Music is a big deal for me as is red wine! I'll be new to the city and keen to make the most of it!
I am from England and have been living in Melbourne for 6months now. I have a full time job which is right in the centre of Melbourne. I am reliable, considerate and very clean. I am always friendly and outgoing but can also respect people's space and am happy to get on with my own thing. I am hoping to do some study and have a lot of family in and around Melbourne so am pretty busy a lot of the time, however will most defiantly be up for lots of fun on the weekend. I love just chilling out and watching Netflix. Game of thrones, Rick and Morty and Mindhunter are just a few of the things you might catch me watching. I look music and reading too, so you will probably catch me in my room doing something like that.
Hello, I'm TJ (25) from Thailand. I'm now looking for a private room! I'm studying bachelor of IT. I'm an easy going person , friendly, clean, tidy and respectful person. I love cooking Thai food and I don't mind learning other cultures and different type of foods too. Plus love going shopping at Victoria market , Coles , fresh markets and Asian shops sometimes on the weekend or day-off. I'm not a noisy person and sometimes perfer having my relaxed time at home just chilling, watch films and do my assignments. And I don't mind eating out and hang out sometimes with friends. If you come up with some plan about food , shopping, have a walk, going to the beach or somewhere, travelling, watching films etc. I will be always up for those!!
25 years old from England! Here on a student visa but planning to stay here forever cos I love Aus! I work pretty much full time as a waitress and go into college two days a week (purely for my visa)! I like to go to the gym after work, so I’m pretty chill during the week. But always up for a cheeky drink on a Saturday night! Sunday’s are my days for relaxing, binge watching Netflix, nursing a hangover or cooking a hearty dinner ☺️ I model in my spare time as well as write for my website as I am a mental health advocate and psychology lover (have a degree from the UK). I am very clean and tidy, have lived out of home for years so understand the personal space vibe as well as not being a hermit. I have quite a lot of bedroom furniture so looking for a good sized room for 6 months or more would be perfect. Looking for a home not a house, with people I can call my friends and not housemates- that sounded lame, but seriously.
Hello there. I am seeking a home to share with community minded, creative beings who are interested in co-creating a peaceful, harmonious, easy-going, tidy, respectful, loving and nurturing space together. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and as well completing my Kundalini Yoga training program. My hobbies and interests are in : spirituality, philosophy, healing, well-being (meditation, yoga, nutrition, kirtan, natural therapies, etc..), conscious dance, sacred music, films, art, reading, being in nature, eating out, travel, singing and pretty much any workshop or book on self-development that allows me to learn more about myself, others and improve who I am as a person. I am honest, mature and respectful of others space, and also seeking the same from others. I am also drug and alcohol free, and would prefer a home of open, authentic, conscious connections and communication with one another. I am not fussed about living with others who enjoy a wine over a meal, but definitely not interested in a party house. I am interested in a quiet space where I can study, as well as, re-charge and unwind. I would enjoy a conversation, meal or outing with fun-loving housemates every so often. As well as a tidy space, where we all contribute in keeping the environment clean and tidy for all. A home near public transport services is a necessity, preferably train and tram services. An unfurnished room and additional storage space would be ideal. I am vegan and would prefer a vegan and/or vegetarian household. I have lived with meat-eaters before though that are respectful and understanding. I also volunteer in assisting with and marketing events within the conscious Melbourne community, as well as activism for the welfare and rights of animals. I am more than happy to live with cats, and the more the merrier :)
Hey! My name is Kaz, currently living in Sydney but ready to jump ship & move down to Melbourne! I'll be starting uni full-time at RMIT in February, so am looking for a nice sharehouse to move into in January/February (flexible with dates). I work from home currently so I'll be employed when I move down :) I'm a leftie, LGBT-friendly, non-smoker, clean & tidy, & love to have introvert time but also to hang out with housemates & meet new people in Melbourne. I'll have a busy schedule & I'm a light sleeper so I'm looking for a quieter household with people my age, in a quiet neighbourhood :) I love cats so if you have a cat that's amazing! I can also come with household furniture if needed (dining table, couches etc). Let me know if you're keen to meet up!
Hi my name is Terence and I am looking for a private room near CBD. I am a part time student and part time working in the hospitality industry. Preferably looking for at least 2-3 bedroom place. Non smoker and LGBT. Thank you!
Fun, considerate and kind, we’re a happy, drama-free couple looking for a great rental from mid-January 18. Kat ~ 33 year-old Brit (lived half my life in Dubai) A creative/marketing professional, exploring full-time job opportunities in the city atm. I have a steady supply of consultancy work so looking for a fairly quiet and productive working / living space. I do a bit of volunteering and generally just love getting involved in anything and everything etc. Tim ~ 32 year-old Kiwi Full-time mature student, studying music composition at VCA. Tim is in the studio, class or library all day and often travels to perform professionally. He really enjoys the varied experiences to be had in Melbourne. Us ~ Active and outdoorsy we love surfing, getting out and about and are really enjoying exploring the city's amazing music and arts scene. Being fairly new to the city we are of course up for making new friends but are also a pretty independent couple. We both love animals and are more than cool to animal sit/walk if needed. Savings and budget all worked out so financially sorted. Happy to answer any other questions. Just let me know. Cheers Kat & Tim
I work full time as a surgical nurse. This can require some long days. During my time away from the hospital I love to stay fit, active and social and am often out and about keeping busy. I do also come with a 3yo golden retriever cross. She's a very relaxed and lovable pooch who spends most of her days lazing around when not out and about with me. I don't require that any housemates take on responsibility of her, just that they like her around and will be kind to her smiling face. As a housemate I'm always keen to have a chat and hang out around the house, or head out for a meal. But also value my own and others quiet time. I consider myself a tidy and respectful person and try to keep common areas clean. My current lease ends on Jan 7th so am looking to join a house anywhere from late December to early January but can be flexible. Any queries please don't hesititate to ask.
