Very laid back guy looking for somewhere to end his stay in Melbourne. Very social but also understands that some people prefer their own space. Respectful of others and runs a fairly tight ship when cleaning up. Always up for a laugh, but working 5-6 days per week so gonna be keeping it quite chill
Hi there, I moved to Melbourne around three months ago from interstate. I've been travelling around from state to state looking for my place in the world over the last 8 months and believe I've found it right here in merry old Melbourne. I'm looking to meet cool new people and get to know Victoria better. I'm very much a newb when it comes to this awesome city and I am on a quest to find Melbourne's best pizza. Bit of a nerd when it comes to tech and the natural world. Some interests include gaming, books, movies and all sorts of music. I also write, have a history in animation and game design and even did a brief stint as a potter. I also like rock climbing quite a bit and as for camping, well, don't even get me started. I run my own digital marketing biz so a fast internet connection is a must and I work from wherever, which most days means at home. Oh, and my name, Jan, is German... I'm totally a dude.
I'm a Singaporean born final year paramedic student looking for someone to team up with for a year (possibly more). I'm looking for someone similar to me, equipped with borderline OCD so that our place would be a home to come back to. Though my first language is english, I am able to speak basic mandarin, cantonese and korean. More than half the time I would be in my room playing videogames (dota or dark souls), reading, studying or napping. I tend to be out mostly for foosball (table soccer), uni, work or motorbike rides. Contact me if you feel like we'd make great housemates. Cheers
Hi, i’m Hannah and my boyfriends name is Tom. We are both from England, 25 and looking for a place to rent for the next 6 months! Tom is an engineer and I’m a graphic designer, we’re friendly, professional and tidy! We have respect for others privacy but equally enjoy relaxing and being social. Keeping fit, exploring and meeting new people is a passion of ours so if you’re looking for a couple to share your home with, we may just be the perfect flatmates for you!
Hi! My name’s Dani - I’m 25 from Boston, MA traveling to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa, and looking to stay in Melbourne. Plan is to work as a yoga instructor and/or waitress to support my travel for the coming months. Looking for a clean, safe, smoke-free, and social place to serve as my home base. I’m a great roommate for the following reasons: I’m respectful, organized, fun, and easy to get along with...and I’m great at doing dishes.
Hello! I am moving to Australia for one year on a working holiday and would like to find some relaxed & friendly people to live with. A bit about myself - I am originally from California and have spent time living in Spain, England and New York. I am both quiet and outgoing, depending on the situation and I like to hike, doodle, drink tea, watch movies, do creative projects and explore cities. I studied fashion design in San Francisco and worked primarily as a sewing teacher while living in New York. Back in California I've been working as a Council Aide for the City of San Jose and I like to work on projects involving civic innovation and design. I am currently searching for a full-time gig in Melbourne and am able to support myself while I hunt around. Favorite author: Bill Bryson, Favorite film: Amelie
Hi I am from India Moving to Melbourne to pursue my masters degree from rmit university. I love to make new friends and I am an easy going person and get along with most people. I am clean, very tidy and have no problem putting in and doing my share. I would like to share with someone who i could interact with and chat to but also have my own personal space.
Hi my name is Ahri, I'm 22 and I work full-time Monday to Friday at an office job in the city, I finish work at 5 most of the time. During the week I tend to chill out after work, maybe go out to dinner or pop over to a friends house. On weekends I mostly like to hang out, catch up with friends, play games and read. I keep the shared areas of the house neat, clean and am respectful of other peoples things and space.
I'm a 25 year old financial consultant working full time in the city. I grew up in San Francisco, CA and went to university in Los Angeles, CA. I have dual citizenship and have recently moved out here to be near my 3 brothers who have all grown up in Melbourne. Something unique about me is that I've backpacked for 16 months in Southeast Asia, China, Tibet, and India. I've also completed 400 hours of yoga teacher training, but that feels like another lifetime ago. Between work and gym I am hardly at home except for the evenings. I believe that home should feel like a safe and comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day to completely unwind and relax. I'd be great to live with because I respect personal space and privacy. I am a tidy and organized individual who is flexible and carries a positive outlook on life. I do enjoy going out on the weekends, but I also balance it out with living an active lifestyle, spending time with my family, and having quiet movie nights. Would be keen to team up with someone for a nice modern apartment east of the city (with private bedroom + ensuite bathroom). Preferably someone who also works full time, likes to go out a bit on weekends, but still lives a balanced life
Hey! I'm a Kiwi girl who's moving to Melbourne to start full-time work in Recruitment on the 5th Feb. I'm (nearly) 23 and am all about living a grateful, positive, sunny side up kind of life! I'm super social and am looking for a place to live that has a super homey feel with equally social and open-minded housemates. I've lived in shared houses for the last 5 years and whilst I appreciate the need for boundaries, I've really enjoyed the friendships that I've made with my past housemates. I love keeping myself busy with yoga, gym, people watching, Saturday Night Live, Netflix binges and the occasional glass (or three) of red wine on the weekends. I'm not after a party house but I definitely like to spend most of the day out of my room when I'm not working, whether it's going on beach adventures or enjoying some over-priced avocado on toast for brunch! I'm quite flexible in terms of living arrangements- I wouldn't mind a short term lease until I find something more permanent however most definitely open to long-term arrangements if I find the right place. Please feel free to message me if you want to chat further, am available for a Skype until I arrive in Melbourne and then am happy to catch up for a drink when I arrive to get to know each other a bit better. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hey, I’m 18 from Sydney and starting Design at RMIT this year, I’m clean in shared spaces (sometimes my room can get a little messy though) and absolutely love to cook. I just came back from backpacking, and I grew up with two older brothers, but I have 5 siblings, so I’m very used to living with a lot of people, and sometimes with people I barley know. In a share house I can contribute funny jokes, grade A music, good cooking, some art, and I come with a fridge and washing machine which is always good. Thanks!
I just moved down from Far North Queensland and am about to start studying film at Swinburne. I'm tidy and understand the concept of personal space. I don't party hardcore but don't mind people how do. Not ever mad in the morning unless I'm told theres no milk. I play the guitar and ukulele and am a Netflix enthusiast. Am here to start a new happy chapter in my life!
hi, 22 year old student moving down from Newcastle. I'm bachelor of arts student my major is philosophy and creative writing. I've lived out of home for almost 3 years so i know how to pay bills on time and take care of myself. I don't have a lot of stuff so i wont take up much room. I think i'm kinda fun. Can move in as soon as possible at the moment I'm staying in a hostel down town and i want to get out.
Hello Melbournians, I am 20 years old and work at the Corner Hotel in Richmond. It’s a casual position but I’ve been there for a year now and have a consistent workload. I am also a full-time student studying photography and Mandarin at RMIT. For the past year I have lived on my own in a Student Housing apartment right near Prahran station. The reason I want to move out is because rent is just a bit too expansive for me, at $235 a week. Have been looking for a place this past month and just haven’t had much luck. I’m a pretty chill guy and who respects others privacy. Would love to find a place with some cool creative people who love to chill out and have a drink or two. I also clean up after myself. I am far from a neat freak but I do hate living in a mess. Ideally, I’m looking for a place close to some form of public transport. I don’t have a license yet so basically dependent on the PTV, although I do have a bicycle which would be fun to cruise around with if you have one! If I tick any of your flatmate boxes, please don’t hesitate to shoot me a message!
Hi, my name is Tara, I'm 24 and from Ireland. I have moved to Australia on a working holiday visa and I'm staying in Melbourne for a few months. I'm working in a pub and I'm looking for a place nearer to where I work. I am an easy going girl and love meeting new people. I'm not a big party girl but still like to go out and socialize.
Hey everyeone, I'm currently looking for a room in an established share house or start up a share house. I'm 25 years old, in my last year at Box Hill Institute studying music composition and working. My budget for rent is around $200 per week. Feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks, Isabele.
Hi! I’m Amy, looking to make the move to Melbourne from NSW as I have finished uni and will be starting a full time job mid February. I am respectful of others personal space and have lived out of home before. I enjoy travel, exercising, being social and embracing the outdoors, as well as enjoying some quiet time when it’s needed. Please contact me for any questions or if you’d like to work something out!
I'm a generally affable duffer. Clean, reliable, genuinely enjoy hanging with housemates, without being intrusive. Moving to Melbourne for psych honours, so I'll probably have my head in a book 23hrs a day...otherwise I like watching, and occasionally playing, live music. Desperately seeking a room and am super flexible at this point. Cheers!
Will be a first year student at University of Melbourne this Feb, looking for a convenient and cozy place to stay. I'm always up for a chat and will be willing to hangout if we share the same interests. I'll respect your privacy when i need to and I'm personally quite clean.
Hey there! I'm an easy going Australian who's been living abroad (France/Canada) the last few years. I'm a friendly guy and love to meet new people and learn. I cook most my meals at home, clean up after myself and like to be social in common areas. I much prefer to be friends with my housemates rather than just a few people living somewhere together. I'll always be keen for a beer and chat if someone else is. I play guitar from time to time, and try to avoid forgetting the French I've learnt. Besides that I love to keep in shape, running and stretching. I'm just starting a new job working as a Mechanical Engineer in Port Melbourne. And would love to find some like minded people to share 2018 with. :)
