Hi All, I've recently relocated from Perth to Melbourne in order to enjoy the wonderful lifestyle on offer and also for a new role at work. I do have short term accommodation lined up until the start of March hence I'm looking for a private room in a shared house to move into after. I'm 31 and work full time at a major Australian bank in Docklands. I like to catch up regularly with friends, shop, yoga/pilates, go out for meals/drinks, cook, bake, watch netflix and travel each year. I have a friendly personality and looking forward to living/working in Melb. I've grown up in Perth and currently own my own 2 bedroom apartment in Perth so I understand the responsibilities that come with it and like to keep it tidy and clean. Looking for a furnished place that is very close to a train st so it’s easy to get into the city, plus trams. I won't have a car so excellent public transport is key. Hoping my new flatmates (up to 3 max) will be fun, clean, tidy and friendly. Initially looking for a place to settle into the city for around 4-6 months, with potential to extend. Also great (I'm told by friends) at making an excellent shared cheese and nibble platter!
22 year old male backpacker from Calgary, AB, Canada! Just recently graduated with a finance degree in December, and decided to come work and travel Australia before settling down. I like to be outdoors and active, and to watch and play all kinds of sports! (With ice hockey being my favourite). Cheers!
Fun guy with good common sense, dark British humour and only the best German stereotypes. I value a clean, tidy and respectful place. Have experiences in living with people from different countries and cultures. That means I’m used to a lot, though I’m actually looking for a quite and chilled flat share with preferably professionals. The occasional common cooking, movie nights and typical chitchat is something that I would like to have with my flatmates. Since we would be sharing a place I consider it important to get along well - must be not on a friendly basis but you’ll probably know what I mean. My main interests sound boring: sports fanatic (football, running, Tennis, etc), music (festivals), books and binge watching!
Hi! I'm Emma, I'm 29 and looking for a sharehouse for myself and my spoodle Lilah (1 and a half years old). I'm in my final year of Speech Pathology and I work as a Teacher Aide at a specialist school for children with autism. I'm a pretty easygoing kinda gal and I'm very well housetrained (been renting for 9 years)! I'm fairly busy during the week with work/gym and on the weekends you'll find me having a cruisy time with pooch, having drinks out on the town, generally catching up with friends, and whatever Melbourne has to offer in the way of arts, festivals, music etc! Getting along with my housemates is a definite must! I like sharing the odd meal or drink together. I have a spoodle pup called Lilah - she's a very cuddly and playful dog who wants to be everybody's best mate. She's a great welcoming committee every time you walk in the door! She gets along well with people and loves other dogs. Li is still young and has lots energy - nothing that a daily walk doesn't fix!
Hi there, I'm Kon, a marketer and bassist who is very sociable, easygoing, vibrant, respectful, clean and has a good sense of humour. Originally I'm Thai but grew up in New Zealand. I lived in Sydney for about five years and have been in Melbourne for a year, working full time in a hotel and studying part time. I'm gonna live in Melbourne for at least three years to continue my marketing career, now looking for a room to live for minimum six months. I'm in love with Reggae and Funk music (actually all genres but these genres are on top), I also love live music, art, animals and drinking (not a party animal). Cheers
Down to earth dude, down for anything, making music, talking crap, taking portraits, cycling, going out to eat, staying in to eat, watching interstellar the movie, trying to figure out interstellar the movie, making friends. Looking to rent a room within a shared house, open to sharing rooms. I work corporate 9 - 5 Mon - Fri, also have 5 consecutive years of renting and house sharing experience so HMU if you're interested.
Hi there! I'm 23 years old and about to move from Sydney to Melbourne to take up full-time work in consulting. I'm clean, tidy, and friendly yet respectful of others' space and privacy. In my spare time I like reading, running, and exploring new places. Looking for a quiet and well-kept place to live with nice housemates :)
Totally sharehouse-trained: pay bills on time, know my way around a dishwasher and a mop-bucket, happy to share books, wine and tv subscriptions, will drop you to the airport (when I can!). Heavy sleeper, so no need to worry about waking me if the walls are thin or the floorboards creak. Have a history of agency and private rentals, happy to go on lease/and or bills OR sublet. Can provide referee contact details from previous housemates, too :) I'm returning to Melbourne to finish my Masters after a stint in regional Queensland. Will be working part time in Glen Iris, studying in Parkville and enjoying all the lovely Melbourne-y things I've missed!
I am looking to team up with other people to get a house from the agency or put my name on the lease if you guys already get a lease. Prefer Richmond, South Yarra, and Prahran but also consider the house close to the station of Glen Waverly line or Belgrave or Lilydale line. I am a full-time worker so it will not be hard for me to apply and I can pay the rent on time. Also, I like to decorate the house to make it comfortable and more like a home. Little about me : I am Kuangyi, 22 years old, a graduate just finished a bachelor of computer science degree in ANU, Canberra and work full time in an IT company in Melbourne. Also, I studied fashion design and public art in RMIT for a while. So, a creative nerd? As I work 9 - 5, I hope the home do not hold the party and can be quiet at night during the weekdays. But weekends are fine, I enjoy hanging out with friends, having a drink and chilling out as well. I like drinking coffee and exploring good cafes and brunch in Melbourne. I go to the gym and do boxing regularly. Also, I like watching movies and reading books. I will respect housemates’ privacy and hope receive respect from roommates but also I want to live in a home, not a house and enjoy hanging out or chatting with housemates.
22 year old, registered nurse & disabilty worker!! Am quite busy in and out with shift work but when home enjoy socializing, cooking and a wine or two.
I've been working in film and TV production for years, mainly in camera team, most recently a couple of big American productions in New Zealand and China. I'm sort of changing tack and have enrolled in a Masters of Teaching (primary and secondary), but I also noticed a few irresistible long-term Melbourne jobs and applied for them. I have in my time started space robotics engineering, physics, psychology and philosophy degrees. I'm passionately interested in many many diverse things (which is why I'm attracted to teaching), science, music, arts, graphic novels, hard scifi, tall ship sailing, basketball, walking. I love going to the movies and HBO style TV. A share house is a little community, I like housemates who are friendly, worldly, open minded, and like to come together occasionally for viewings of awesome TV and movies. Special mentions go to: The Wire, Rick and Morty, Fargo, Barton Fink, 25th Hour, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, Sideways, American Beauty, Coen brothers Joel and Ethan, Dogville, Steven Spielberg, Paul Verhoeven, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Diaspora (book), Greg Egan, Asimov, Birds of Prey, The Black Cloud (book), Quentin Tarantino, Neil Gaiman, Spawn, The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Beirut, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Six Feet Under, Oz, Deadwood, Rome, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, The Drunkard's Walk, Next Gen, Battlestar Galactica, Blake's 7, Bab5, DS9, John Wyndeham, Amelie, Alfred Bester, Kevin Smith, Charlie Kaufman, Bojack Horseman, UFO Enemy Unknown, XCOM, Half Life and CS, StarCraft, Civ, L4D2, Portal, FTL, TIE Fighter, Limbo... I don't have any moving in with me, but my family has dogs that I love, and horses. I like cats too.
-looking for room with ensuite bathroom- 23 Years Old AFL/sport Fanatic Easy going Full Time Worker Hey i'm Jack, I'm laid back, no fuss kind of guy. Happy to have a chat and smash out the new episode of Game of Thrones or watch all games of AFL on a weekend if you wanted. I won't be a secluded creep who hides in his room and won't talk to you. I work full time and play a bit of sport, so i keep myself busy and won't be laying on the couch all the time. I've got all my own stuff from my previous living arrangements so won't need the room furnished! Keen to have a place that isn't further than 15 minutes from freeway, as the commute to work is already shit without the addition of Melbourne traffic. All in all i'm easy to get along with, respectful of your privacy and a pretty funny guy. So if you have a spare room that needs filling, i'd love to have a chat and go from there!
I’m gonna be an exchange student at Deakin University next trimester and still need to find a place that I can call home for the next 4 months. I’ve been living in share houses for the last 3 years, so I’m house trained and I’m looking forward to live in a homely house with a nice and social atmosphere. I’m open minded, easy going, normally tidy, I enjoy cooking together, hanging out with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, having a good conversation, watching a movie, playing volleyball, and wandering around the city to check out new pubs or cafés. I love exploring new places, laughing, meeting people, listening to music, being amazed by fabulous nature or trying new sports. Can't wait to meet my future housemates :)
- Easy going, fun, loving and caring - Can create quite a curry storm - Is very hygienic and extremely particular about cleanliness - Loves to live in the house like it's a house having meals and drinks with everyone from time to time - I'm 25, from India and just graduated from Deakin Uni in Masters of Business in Sports Management! Been in Melbourne for the last two years, and work five days a week! - Love catching up on treks, hikes and beaches on the weekend, appreciate local flavor for music and art
