Hi, I'm Laurie, a 23 French girl working full time in marketing. My partner (22, australian) and I are looking for a place to stay at least the next 3 months. We're both easy going, enjoying life, we love travelling and living an healthy lifestyle.
Hi, I'm an easy going, outdoorsy, travel-loving teacher and writer, looking for housemates who enjoy a balance of sociability and personal space. I've recently returned from two years teaching in England, where I spent most holidays travelling round the UK/ Europe/ Canada & the US. My hobbies include; writing fantasy novels, walking, running, reading and travel.
Hi legends, I'm moving back to Melbourne after a few years in Sydney. Have lived in share accommodation for a while and it's been a mix of couples, guys, girls and aged between 20-38 y/o. So I have a great understanding of what it takes to make a share house work :). So, me, I'm single straight male aged 37 and I'm moving back to Melbourne to start working on a big dream of mine (my current job is a 60+ hour week and doesn't allow me the time to work on it). I'm a bit of a health-nut, but also enjoy a vino on the couch with the housemates, and the odd catch up at the pub. I'm easy going and happy to have a chat about anything, but realise the need for personal space too. I keep a clean house and happy to get in the kitchen. I currently have most household things: fridge, washing machine, large u-shaped couch, appliances, etc. But am planning to sell before I move back (so let me know if you want me to keep anything).
I am studying in Swinburne University of Technology. I am very friendly in nature. I like to hang out with friends on weekends. I am looking for 3 months temporary accommodation.
Helloo, We are a young couple moving from a small beach town near Byron Bay to Melbourne in February. We have just had a year off doing full time work, and travelling Europe together for 4 months. We are laid back, friendly, independent and clean. We love cooking for ourselves and others, having a drink, relaxing with some nice tunes, and taking our 2 year old Boxer dog out. We both have artistic hobbies, that usually take up a lot of our free time, but we also love gathering with friends and having a fun night out (or in). Zeus is our 2 year old Boxer Dog. We absolutely love him and couldn't imagine living without him. He is well trained, loving, and extremely entertaining. Zeus will need a yard, although we are not all that worried on the size, as we take him out everyday. We will be super excited to hear from anyone who is also looking for a pet friendly abode. Our budget is around $350 for the 2 of us.
Hi, I'm Kaylar! I'm 21 and my current lease is up 1st of March. I work full time for a finance company as a training mortgage broker and lending administrator. I spend a lot of time with my partner in South Melbourne so it's very likely you will only see me once or twice a week! When we meet you can get a feel of who i am but ill try my best to get it down in writing. I am a happy and friendly person and enjoy company as much as my time alone. When i am home you will find me either reading or watching trashy Netflix shows. I love going out and trying new bars and cafe's, somebody who loves brunch and a couple of bevs will get along great with me. I'm looking for a place close to public transport that is upbeat and has a nice vibe!
I'm a friendly and clean person who loves photography, creating short films, healthy lifestyle, blogging, entrepreneurship, gym, yoga, philosophy, vegetarian food, creating electronic music (with headphones haha), travel, design and generally always keen to cook nice food, enjoy a few beers and discuss how wildly novel it is to be alive and exploring this planet! I work in a restaurant in Fitzroy and pursue all sorts of creative freelance opportunities in my spare time.
Hello :) Ajay and I are looking for a third awesome flatmate to join us in a house/townhouse in Richmond (or a surrounding suburb close to a train station/tram line). We've just started looking for a new place to live. Our current lease is up this Friday and I'd like to move closer to my business in Richmond. We are two friends, professionals employed full time, who are fun, hard working, very clean and reliable. We pay bills on time and are very house proud. We are looking at 3 bed, 2 bathroom places around the $240-250 mark per week each but I'm happy to pay more for ensuite and parking if we find something good. If anyone would like to start up a new house get in touch! You must like animals, having a laugh and looking for friends rather than just flatmates. We love living together and would love to find another awesome friend to live with!
Friendly, easy going and polite Estonian couple discovering Australia. We recently graduated uni and decided to discover the world before settling down. Backpackers with suitcase. We respect everyone's privacy and do like to have our privacy as well. We always clean after ourselves. We would prefer a room with our own bathroom, but shared bathroom is also good as long as we don't have to share it with 5 people.
Hi, I’m Edwina. I’m a happily single 32 year old who is looking for a place close to the city as I work at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, so would love to have a short commute; being close to public transport, preferably a train station, is a must for me. I have been living in Windsor for the past 5 or 6 years with my sister, but she has decided to move out with her boyfriend and I decided I want a change of scenery as well. I have made my rent budget $200 p/w but could possibly go up to $240 if I really loved the place, the people in it and it checked all the boxes. I am a neat and clean person who likes to have an organised but relaxed home. I am respectful of other people’s privacy and space because I expect the same thing. I am easy going and relatively introverted and am pretty much a homebody, but do enjoy a good laugh and being around fun loving and positive people, so would be up for a pub meal or a picnic in a park or a movie/live show. I can never really be bothered cooking fancy things but I do love to bake, and more importantly eating whatever I bake. Other than my love for cake, I am pretty healthy and fit. I like to work out most days and do a circus class once a week; in my spare time you can probably find me standing on my hands. Just some warnings: I love meat so if you’re a vegetarian you may not be able to stand my cooking and if you’re a smoker I will hit you over the head and try and knock some sense into you, so probably not the ideal housemate for you either. I am looking for something long term, in a place where I can feel at home and where my housemates could also be friends.
Hey! I'm Kasra, A part time chef and student of a culinary school! I am quite chilled out, easy going, professional and tidy. love to cook, up for a beer, hanging out and water sports. I'm interested in living with people who have similar interests and are clean, tidy and sociable!
I am moving to Melbourne from Adelaide to work full-time as a Visual Merchandiser at Chadstone. I don't know many people in Melbourne so would love to make some new friends. I am naturally pretty quiet and will be working Monday to Friday. I'm nice and easy going. I enjoy being tidy and mostly organised at home. I respect others property, belongings and privacy. Looking to live with others similar ☺ For fun I like to catch up with friends, eat delicious foods, try new things, exercise. I'll probably fly back to Adelaide on some weekends. I'd also like if I can have my partner or a friend from Adelaide stay with me in my room for the weekend once in a while, wouldn't be disruptive. My maximum is $200 a week including bills (roughly). I'm hoping to spend less. Plan to extend after three months will commit to 6 months to secure thet right place. Move in date would be Saturday the 21st.
I'm and easy going Aussie/American who loves the outdoors, enjoys cooking, and riding my bike most places. I'm a clean and fairly active house mate who enjoys beers on the weekend and the odd party but not crazy weekend benders. I'm looking for a place within riding distance of the CBD and hopefully with a great backyard!
Hi , I will be moving to Melbourne on the 10th Feb ,2017 to pursue my masters at University of Melbourne.I am currently living in Bangalore, India and this will be my first time in Melbourne. Prior to India, I spent a major part of my life in the Gulf where I did my schooling. My interest are watching football, cricket and a couple of documentaries on recent events. I am looking for a studio or single bedroom that is close to the University of Melbourne or a nearby area that has good transport connectivity. I would also be open to sharing a room with another person.
I’m moving from Canberra to Melbourne in early February to start an Arts degree at Melbourne University. I’ve been living in share housing for the last 3 years so I understand the importance of respecting your housemates and their privacy, but I am a very chatty and friendly person and love spending time with housemates. I am very respectful, clean and friendly. I love cooking and am happy to make meals for the house the share, I'm also always up for a talk and a drink. Please let me know if you have any questions about me, looking forward to hearing from you soon :) Sophie
Hey I am Halle, I'm a 22 year old student at Deakin University. I'm studying Journalism. I enjoy fitness, cooking, and writing. I enjoy having a chat with roommates but also enjoy my own personal space as well. Looking to live with like-minded people!
Hi there! My current lease is up in Feb and I'm looking for an unfurnished room to rent, preferably less than an hour commute from the city. I work full-time Monday-Friday, and tend to just stick to my routine during the week. At weekends I spend my time going out with friends, catching up with family and relaxing at home. I’m tidy, quiet and considerate and would be looking to rent with people the same. I'm always up for a chat and enjoy the occasional social drinks, movie nights, games nights and the like but also enjoy my own space too. I am moving with my 3 year old koolie, Rikku. If you’ve ever wanted a dog but don’t want the responsibility Rikku would be ideal! She’s used to living in sharehouses and loves all the people. I can assure you she’s very well trained (top level obedience and currently training in agility) and I walk her daily (she’s an excellent running partner if you need one!). Both my past landlords have known about Rikku and it’s never been a problem. She’s predominantly an outside dog but I do sometimes have her inside in the evenings to watch tv with me. She is 100% housetrained and will quickly learn to stay off furniture and out of rooms that are off limits. However she does need a backyard so unfortunately apartments/townhouses won’t work. Rikku’s never lived with other pets (except for a top goldfish named Yevin) but I would be willing to try it. She doesn't always get along with dogs but would love a cat friend. If you’ve just set up a new sharehouse (or someone just moved out and took everything) I can also provide the following (otherwise I will be storing it with the parents): -dining table -bookshelf -washing machine -fridge (fits food for 3 people) -couch & two arm chairs -chest of drawers -bean bag -coffee table Cheers :)
I am a soon-to-be 19 year old who is in second year for psychology and neuroscience at Swinburne Uni. I'm currently living at home in Geelong and am looking to move to Melbourne to make the journey to uni much easier. I am very tidy, financially reliable and am quite independent. I'm happy to cook my own meals, do washing and cleaning, and I get along with animals very well! I am really respectful of others' privacy and am always happy to do my own thing in my room, but also wouldn't mind the occasional meal or drinks together too. My hobbies include playing music, games, keeping fit and binge watching tv series on Netflix. I enjoy going out with friends, but I'm not looking for a party house. My own room is a must, and I would prefer if it could fit a double bed and a desk comfortably. I don't mind sharing with people in their late 20's, and if it's just a two bedroom place I would prefer to share with another girl. Anywhere in the CBD or surrounding suburbs would be excellent - I really like areas like Brunswick and South Yarra. My budget sits around $200, with $250 being the max per week including bills. If I sound like a suitable house mate please do get in contact with me, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have! You can contact me via text: Thanks a bunch, Ella :)
About this person Hi I'm Julia and I work full time at a health organisation in the CBD. I love being active, the outdoors and catching up with friends over good food and wine. My chill days involve watching a movie, baking, painting or all of the above! I'm easy going and tidy up after myself.
I will be moving to Melbourne to start a new full time job in early February - but am looking to move at the end of January. I'm friendly, respectful and tidy. I also enjoy the occasional red wine with friends. I lead a relatively healthy and active lifestyle, currently loving barre! Would love to find a friendly household that are young professionals and ideally not a party house.
Hi im Stu Im tidy, friendly, love chatting with new people and having a laugh. Im new to Melbourne so looking forward to getting around and having alook. I love my sports weather it's playing or watching. Don't mind having a few quiet drinks weather it's at home or the local pub.
Hi! My name is Josh, I am 23 and currently seeking a place to live in Melbourne. At this moment I live in Perth working full time as a wholesaler and an opportunity to work in Melbourne has presented itself. I completed an apprenticeship in locksmithing back in 2015 but the industry did not suit or appeal to me afterwards so I changed Jobs to a local supplier. I am interested in CGI, Music, video games, pretty much anything related to computers and technology and I am also a current student at SAE Online, studying a Diploma of Screen & Media 3D animation. I can keep to myself if you would prefer or if you are the social type I would like to be apart of that I am happy to join events and outings and would really like to meet new people! I do like to keep things clean and tidy as well of course! I am really excited to move out of home (finally) and have a change of scenery. The only things I would need is somewhere to park my car and an internet connection (For my online course). I will be driving from Perth to Melbourne on the 17th of February and should arrive around 21st to 22nd. Thanks for having a read! Josh
I'm an easy going guy with a wealth of interests such as art, music, exercise, camping, hiking, animals, food, drink, parties, travelling etc. I start studying carpenty end of Jan and I work quite a lot. I'd love to find a place in a shared house with people who click nicely.
Hey there! I'm a writer and content creator from Perth, and I'm moving to Melbourne in late February 2017 to intern in communications in the non for profit sector. I'm looking to rent a private room with laid-back, like-minded people. I work casually as a note-taker and a sales assistant, and volunteer for several non-profits including Red Cross. I'm planning to work part-time and intern/volunteer part-time. I'm friendly, tidy, respectful and not much of a party-goer. I'm a big reader, a huge fan of jazz, blues and soul music, and I swing-dance several times a week. I'm also a great baker! I'm ideally looking for something along the 75 tram line as I'll be working at Deakin University.
Hey there! I'm a medical student completing a research year at the Alfred Hospital, after which I will complete my final year of my studies. I also work part time in hospitality. As such, I lead a pretty busy lifestyle, but you can rest assured that I'm a very caring, organised and responsible housemate to have. :) I'd say I'm easy going and respectful. I love spending time with others, having a meal, chat and a laugh together, as well as spending time on my own. I would love to get to know my housemates - going on adventures, brunching, or just kicking back with some Netflix. :) Other than studying, I do aerial silks and hoop (as a form of dance and exercise), go to the gym, catch up with friends, explore Melbourne's best brunches, cook and sleep. I like to live a healthy lifestyle, so most of what I cook will be only good, healthy stuff. I do love to whip up a delicious cheesecake every now and then though! I'm not a party animal - especially not during the week! - but don't mind a social gathering. I can be outgoing, and pretty quiet. I have lived out of home since 18, so I can confirm, I am trained in housemate rules. Would love someone who likes being active to go to the gym/ yoga/ someone exercise-y with! Won't lie, I tend to be a morning person!
I'm in my mid-20s working full time in the city. I moved to Melbourne from Canada on a whim last year and absolutely love it here! I'm now on a four-year working visa and plan to stay long-term. I'm social, independent, and love to meet new people, but also enjoy relaxed downtime at home. I work 9-5 so tend to be around in evenings/weekends when I'm not out with friends. I'd love to find a household with a friendly social atmosphere where I can meet new people and enjoy the occasional roomie dinner/drinks. I'm a clean and easygoing housemate who happily does my part to keep the house in order so am hoping to find housemates who do the same. My current lease is up at the end of January so am looking to move into a place ASAP. Ideally looking for a place in the inner north-east suburbs (i.e. Carlton/North Carlton/ Fitzroy/North Fitzroy/Collingwood/Richmond/Abbotsford etc) but am flexible as long as I can bike to work. :)
Hi I'm Melanie, I'm currently a nanny in the area 3 days a week but am also a primary/special ed teacher. I love the beach and dogs, interested in spirituality and travel. I'd like to find a nice sharehouse, I'm housetrained ;)
We are a couple looking for a short term accommodation. We would like a place in the suburbs mentioned above, but we are open for other suburbs too. We are both international students currently studying our master degree in professional accounting. We are respectful and communicative. We also work part time. I'm from India and my girlfriend is from Ecuador. We enjoy our time listening to music and going to the gym and sightseeing.
I'm an easy going girl who left her home country Germany to explore the beautiful Australia (which I was also born in) and to meet lots of great people from all over the world! I'm working (soon full time) in Windsor so probably won't be in the apartment 24/7. I like to spend my free time with friends (new or old) and have a passion for hiking. I love to be active and am always up for a new adventure! But apart from that, I am also one of the girls you can just hang with, watch movies, get take-away or go out for drinks. To sum it up I am really easy to live with. I'm tidy and fair, so I appreciate the 4 walls I live in and respect the people I live with!
A La Trobe MBA Student, enrolling in mid Feb 2017. Simple, easy-going decent dude if I have to say so myself. I'm into music and spiritualism. Pretty carefree most of the time.
Hey. My names Ben I'm 23 currently working full time as a carpenter. I'm a pretty relaxed house mate. Enjoy my sports going to the beach and socialising with mates. Bills are always paid on time and always clean up after myself.
From Newcastle, NSW. Commencing 21 year old post-grad Psychology student at Deakin university, looking to live with other students who like to have fun but also are respectful of study-times and privacy. Prefer to live close to Burwood campus but can be flexible :) I will be in Melbourne from the 21st of February
Hi potential housies, I'm looking at joining a social sharehouse around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area. I'm missing a backyard, as I love spending time outdoors, so would prefer that or a decent balcony. Off street parking would be a win but not a deal breaker. I've lived in sharehouses for a while now both in Perth (worked there for a couple years) and Melbourne. I'm sociable, clean and easy going and looking for housemates that are similar in that regard. I'm not looking to join a party house, but more than happy to share a chat, food or a drink or two. I love the outdoors and like to stay active - cycling mainly, but keen to get back into my fencing and get into climbing/bouldering. I also like exploring the local area - cafes, bars and restaurants. If you reckon I sound like a potential housemate please let me know. Cheers Yen-Sen
Hi! My name is Tom, I'm from Melbourne. I'm looking for a room close to Fitzroy but happy for surrounding areas if close to public transport. Easy going, responsible, friendly guy always open for a chat. Likes having a bit of space from time to time and respects others too. Full-time student at Australian College of the Arts and work part-time as a Disability Support Worker. In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends and seeing live music.
I am a landscaper who is hoping to begin Uni halfway through the year. Have grown up in Tassie. I love to keep active, I hit the gym regularly although at the same time I can be a sloth! I love watching sports, movies and tv shows. I am friendly and easy going. Happy to have drinks from time to time but I also respect for peoples privacy.
Hello flatshare community! I'm Julia, 25 years old and working full time in healthcare. I'm looking to move out of my current place and step down to preferably just one other housemate after a few years living with multiple people. Because I work full time I tend to keep pretty quiet during the week, I don't mind a bit of gym, Netflix and the bachelor (shame) and I like to try new places to eat. I like to be out and about on the weekend but am also looking for somewhere to make comfortable and cosy to be able to hang out and relax. I'm always up for a chat or a glass of wine but also respect having your own space. I don't have everything needed to start fresh but have got quite a few things I could contribute to a house- both large and small. If I sound like your type of person please get in touch!
Student returning to study after a year off working and travelling. Bubbly, outgoing girl that loves to have a few drinks and socialise on weekends but a little quieter during the week. Clean & independent. Would like to find some great friendly housemates rather than just people to co-exist with. A good house environment is more important to me than the aesthetics of a place! Currently working as an Operations Assistant in my hometown, let me know when a good time to check out your place is and say hi.
Lived in Melbourne for the previous two years in a boarding house at a large private school. Currently looking for an inner city place in order to attend university and work part-time. I enjoy most sports and just hanging out with friends and im fairly self-sufficient.
Hi my name is Dat. I am a working professional who is looking for a place close to the city. I am pretty easy going, open minded and considerate of others. Outside of work, I enjoy playing sports/going to the gym and going out to bars for a drink or two.
Hey flatmate world, We're a fun loving couple looking for some new housemates in Jan/Feb 2017! We both work full time but are definitely up for getting together with our roomies for a social drink or bite to eat whenever possible. We both love going for brunch, playing different sports and watching trashy telly in our spare time. While we are a couple we are also great at doing thing separately. We are both super clean and as an added bonus Max is a tradie so he's super helpful with jobs around the house. Together we also have all the furniture needed to furnish a new house so if yours is missing anything, there's a high chance we'll have it. This is also perfect for anyone wanting to team up. If you want to know anything else about us feel free to message!
I'm from China, want to go university of Melbourne. plan to stay in hawthorn language school about 2 months or more. i like pets, so a dog or a cat is ok, if could, i want to live a place closely to hawthorn and i hope there is a dryer in the house, and i could live with the local , Chinese,Korean or Japanese who are the university students and not a smoker. that's important. i really like music ,reading books and do some outdoor sports. like eating meet and seafood and i can do some Chinese food.
Hi my name is Lauren. I'm 27 and working full time in government, in a role with varied and sometimes long hours so will be out and about a bit. When I'm not working I like to get outdoors as much as possible, whether it be the beach, hiking or riding, I just generally like being outdoors! I like to also go to whatever sporting event is on in Melbourne, and check out gigs where I can. I'm an easy going and energetic person, who loves a chat and a drink with th people I live with, but am also respectful of space having lived in a couple of share houses. I am ideally trying to look for a place that can also accomodate my little 6 year old Jack Russell Emma (I did not name her haha). She's a little dog who loves a snuggle, isn't a barker and generally chills during the day when she's not begging for a walk, and likes sitting outside watching for possums at night. She can sleep in or outside.

Hello! Looking for a place to live around Richmond/ Hawthorn area in late January. Im a pretty down to earth chick. Looking to Study at Deakin as well as do some training in the CBD so I am hoping to score a place in the middle. I am from Alice Springs ( i know, so exotic) and currently here until the 22ndd of Jan. I am a full-time student studying master of architecture design currently in RMIT as well as having my part-time job. I have been in Melourne for 2 years. I keep tidy and clean in my space as well as cleaning public area sometimes. I don't smoke and don't like drag. I enjoy having a night in with movies and mates but also enjoy checking out restaurants and bars. I am into music, painting, reading, movies, swimming, photography and biking, recently i am making some interesting graphic by programming. When i am free, i like hanging out to discover new restaurants, new places and fitness or staying at home for cooking or cleaning. Meanwhile, I love chatting with people, for sharing our stories and exchange our opinion. I am a gay, so definitly LGBTI+ friendly. I like to live in a clean and tidy home and am looking for people who agree. I am considerable and kind and would like to make new friends and share life and happy time with my potential lovely roommates. I also would love to share my food and hang out with roommates as well as respect your privacy and keep independence for myself. I took an apartment by myself and manage it, and I lived with more than 6 people in 2 years. Therefore, I think I really know how to get along with my new roommates. Ideally, I hope the room is furnished and prefer to live with males in house or town house which is less than 5 people, and fast speed internet, if there is a garden or yard, it would be perfect. Nor sharing room. I can move in February, but i can also move in Jan if the room is really what I am looking for.
I am a very happy and pretty energetic girl who loves a good coffee. I love to have fun and plenty of sleepovers with the girls. I am a Christian and would love to have chats with the people I'm living with, encouraging each other in our faith. I'd love to become great friends and go on trips together to nearby markets or cafes
