I'm from Brisbane originally but have spent the last few years living in China. Moved down to Canberra for post-grad study at ANU. I've lived in many share houses before and have always got along with my house mates. I'm a clean and conscientious tenant who respects house rules/tenants preferences. Easy-going and relaxed. In terms of hobbies, don't mind the occasional beer down at the pub but also like to keep healthy. Spend a good deal of my time reading for both study and leisure.
Hey potential roomies! I am moving down from the Gold Coast at the beginning of March for work and I'm super keen on being your flatmate! I'm 22, work full-time in Media and will very much need a spotter at the gym/need to be told the best places to go for a jog.. (not compulsory) My other hobbies include most sports, a lot of travel, cooking to an okay standard, good coffee, surfing badly, anything outdoors really! Preferably, I am looking for someone who is clean, tidy, doesn't mind a drink every now and then... however we all need downtime so that will be respected. I've also got a Netflix subscription so that could be yours at your disposal. Any other questions just drop me a message. Looking forward to meeting your awesome self... I'm hoping to prove my mates that Canberra is more than freezing cold temps and the Raiders!
I'm a mature male currently doing my PhD at the ANU. Originally from Bali. Been lived in Melbourne for three years and been lived in a share accomodation before. I'm sociable but love some privacy as well. Occasionally drink during the weekend and having a small chat would be great.
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
I'm a very friendly and easygoing 26 year old, working full time Monday-Friday. I like to live in a clean and tidy place, I clean up after myself and happy to share chores/housework. I always keep my rent and bills up to date and paid on time. I enjoy being social with housemates but at the same time, I respect housemates space and privacy to do their own thing and also appreciate my own. I don't have a preference for housemates gender. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and baking, getting fit, good food, drinks, music and getting out and about - but also sometimes just relaxing at home with a netflix binge! I have no problem with housemates having friends/guests/partners etc visiting and staying however I'm not into 'party' houses and don't host parties. Overall, I am looking to live in a nice, tidy and relaxed place with someone friendly who shares similar interests :) Please get in touch if you'd like to chat more :) My moving date is also flexible.
Hi! My name is Trish and I'll be moving from Sydney to work full-time at the UNHCR in Canberra. I'm very easy to get along with, tidy, very social, but I also respect personal space and alone time. I'd love to be in a shared house with friendly and similar people. For fun, I enjoy exploring, good food, the outdoors, movie marathons and reading.
Shared houses in Newcastle, Sydney and Darwin and met some incredible people along the way. Never not got along with house mates regardless of diversity in personalities. Pretty merry fella. Loves a couple of coldies and will clean up after myself.. Pretty handy on the tools and around the garden. Got that covered..

I'm a mid-twenties recent graduate - just finished up my masters at ANU and looking for work in the public service. I'm working in hospitality in the meantime. I'm relatively new to Canberra and moved here from Adelaide at the start of my degree. I play basketball 3-4 days a week and am fairly social on weekends - prefer a casual drink at home/the pub but don't mind the odd outing. I try to keep myself fairly busy. Looking for a place with friendly people who are down for a chat every now and then. I am respectful of space and just as happy quietly reading as I am watching television/cooking with room mates.
I'm a 25 year old public servant who works full time in the city. When I'm not working, I volunteer for the Red Cross, go to the gym (every day if I can!), surf on the coast or hike. I've lived in share houses in Canberra for the last two years so I know the drill. I like to help out with chores, share a meal and enjoy beer. Though I'm also happy to chill out in my room if I'm home.
I'm a qualified chef but prefer to work out the front in bars making cocktails at Akiba. Originally from Albury but have spent a long time working in Canberra within the hospo scene. I spend most of my spare time eating out or chilling out to a movie when I'm not working. Looking for a place ASAP
Hey there, my name's Ajit, I'm a Melburnian who'll soon be moving to Canberra (around February 11-12) to begin a Masters degree at ANU. I'm looking for a place to stay during my degree (up to February 2018 preferred). I'm a clean and friendly tenant who's respectful of one's space and privacy. I can keep my room in a bit of a clutter, but I'm quite aware of cleaning up after myself in shared areas, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. As a student, I'll be studying at uni mostly but will also spend time studying at home and working part time on the side (as an uber driver/hospo). I'm an average cook and do enjoy cooking for myself, but am also happy to share a meal now and then. Also enjoy a bit of banter after uni/work. I haven't moved out of Melbourne before so I'm keen to make new friends. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you :).
I am a bubbly 21 year old who was born and bred in Canberra, currently working part time while studying at University of Canberra. I am looking to move into another share house/apartment and have previously been a part of two separate share houses and have loved both experiences . I enjoy cooking and keeping active through social sports. I also enjoy spending my spare time around local cafes and bars and am keen on making new friends. While I do appreciate the social aspects of life, I am respectful of others personal time and space and like to keep things clean.
My name is Christine. I have just started a degree at ANU studying International Security and Classics. I consider myself active and I am an avid follower of football and rugby. I love meeting new people with interesting perspectives and life experiences. I never shy away from a social event or the occasional outing when it involves friends or meeting new people. I like to keep neat and tidy and always willing to contribute to the upkeep of the house.
Hi I am James! I am 21 years old and study science at ANU. For the past year I have been travelling through various countries in SE Asia and Europe. I love to cook and like to share my dishes with others. Bartender by trade so I know how to make some killer cocktails. Not a big party-goer but do enjoy going out now and again for drinks and billiards. Always up for a chat over dinner/drinks but also respectful of others space. I'm an easy going person who is tidy and reliable. Looking for a place in the inner north. Let me know if you're interested :)
Hello!! I'm looking for a room in North Canberra. I work full time as a public servant in the cultural sector and study part time at ANU (art history + curatorship). I have a particular love for film and live music and sew often. I am tidy and respectful of others' space but am also looking for some fun housemates. I'm keen for a backyard so that I can garden and keep a compost bin. I may be young but I've been living independently for a year and have share house experience.
I like cosy spaces and inspiring environments and I am most at ease when in nature and/or with good company. As for domestic-me, I like tidy areas and I clean up after myself to make the home clean and enjoyable for others. I'm from Orange, NSW but have been living in Sydney for the last year. It will be sad to make the move away from the beach but I am coming to Canberra to study at ANU, ready for a new chapter in my life. My boyfriend and I like to travel and explore around the coast on our days off, and we both enjoy a good cup of tea.
Hello All. Looking for a room. WHO I AM: 22. Employed as a cleaner. Skilled chef who enjoys cooking for friends and housemates and watching movies/shows/playing games. I am involved with running local gigs in Canberra's music scene, so keep me in your house if you want your finger on the pulse! WHAT I DO: I'll be around the house most weekdays after work and out most weekends. 50/50 chance that I'll be at home come Sunday morning most weeks. I spend my time at home just relaxing or working on small art projects and am often playing video games or reading. I keep to myself mostly, but feel free to knock on my door and pull me out of my room for anything at anytime. Very willing to help around the house (well house-trained and I love cooking for others) and if you have a garden I'd love to add some veggies to it. WHAT I CAN'T DO: Long haired animals are harsh on my nose, but I can probably deal so long as it doesn't shed everywhere. Also, can't stand large mechanized dinosaurs. I want to punch them on sight.

I spend my spare time going to the gym, playing videogames, working on little craft projects and getting way to invested in cartoons. A Swedish student looking for accommodation in Canberra while finishing a master degree in International Security. Non-smoking, hard studying and generally very happy. I go well with most people and put most of my time to studying while occasionally go for a beer and a work out. Easy to live with as most of my time is spent in libraries. Quiet, as is in my Swedish nature, and clean and organised even though I do not care about other peoples ways of being. I do not mind smokers and I like pets and music!
Melbournian here moving to Canberra to work in professional services around early March. In my spare time, I’m equally as happy to chill over a glass of wine/cup of coffee or go on random adventures with my friends. I've lived in a few share houses now so I 'get' housemate etiquette and know how to keep a place tidy. Looking for easy going housemates that doesn't mind the occasional communal dinner/drinks but also respect privacy.
I am pretty chilled guy. Moving to Canberra for work so don't really know many people. 30yo. Gay. I like to cook and most the time it's edible and always happy to cook for an extra. I like my space but can also hold a chat over dinner and maybe a wine or 3 :) I don't have any ideal flatmate just someone that likes have a laugh and doesn't take life to seriously. I never really know what to say on these things but feel free to ask any questions.
I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney to work (full-time) at ANU for a year, beginning early March. I'm originally from Melbourne, and have lived in a couple of sharehouses. I'm pretty easy going and always keep communal areas tidy. I generally prefer to keep to myself but don't mind being social. I have a bunch of kitchenware and a tv, but unfortunately I've sold all my appliances. I'm hoping to share with just one, possibly two, other people.
Hi, I'm Rob. I just landed a job working on a govt contract and am looking at moving down to Canberra from Sydney on 11/12 March (pretty flexible with an earlier date though). A bit about me… I’m 31, originally from Melbourne, gay, enjoy hiking, politics, the arts. Usually spend weeknights at the gym or chilling, and then look to get out and about on the weekends. Have lived in share houses for the past decade, each for 2-3 years. I consider myself an easy-going and respectful housemate. Happy to come down to Canberra to view / meet.
Hi! I am a 4th year ANU law student. I have just returned from a semester abroad. I work part time and study full time. I am an independent, laid back, adaptable and social person. I have lived in shared housing for 3 years and understand the necessities of living with others. I am clean, tidy and respectful of personal space. I enjoy home cooking, a good chat and an occasional drink. I have an extensive knowledge of films and many other interests especially travelling and photography. My parents live 2 hours away on a farm, that produces lots of organic goods! I am looking to share with either a male or female. I will have a car so public transport accessibility is not essential but preferred.
I've recently finished Uni in Melbourne and I'm starting a graduate position in environmental science in early March. The job is based in Canberra but also includes travel overseas and around Australia for short periods of time. I've lived in a share house for the last 4 years and I'm tidy and respectful of communal areas. I enjoy sports, music, movies and most outdoor activities. If you think I would be suitable to live with it would be great if you could get in touch with me.
Moved to australia a couple of years ago and I am looking for a nice sharehouse with cool people. I work as an in an electronics factory doing electrical testing, I don't smoke and don't listen to music without my headphones on so don't worry about being woken up in the middle of the night.I'm a really easy going, tidy, a little bit OCD about cleanliness. Don't hesitate to ask any question you may have.

Hey Everyone! I am Allira originally from Sunny Queensland but came down to Canberra for a government job. I am young turning 21 this year but pretty mature for my age, as I am young I'm still learning as we all are. I am outgoing and fun and always try to see the positive in things, I go to the gym and play sports a lot especially touch and netball. I am a big sports fanatic so I do like to just chill and watch sports, big Rugby League fan and just a cool person (well I think haha). If you need personal space I am not an annoying person I like my personal space but I just don't like awkwardness. I don't mind an alcoholic beverage either. I follow the motto always put things back where they belong and if it's not yours don't touch it or ask first. I am clean although I do like a specific day to clean because I do have a full time job and I either play sports during the week or just tired in general. I also study at the moment. And thats me :)
Hello! I will be moving to Canberra for work and am looking at finding share accommodation with some like-minded individuals. I'm a 23 year old environmental scientist who loves the outdoors. I like to keep active (swim, bike, run, gym), and on my weekends will likely be rock-climbing, mountain biking, kayaking or trying not to fall on my face learning how to snowboard. If you think I'd be a good fit, feel free to shoot me a message!
Hi, my name is Christine, 30 years old and I have moved to Canberra two weeks ago. I work in cafe and I am looking for a room for 2-3 months. Preferably quite central as I get around by bicycle and public transport. I love going to the movies, meeting friends for a coffee, travelling, reading, baking and yoga. As I have lived in shared houses before, I know how to clean up after myself and have respect for each others spaces. I am open minded and friendly. If there is a dog in the house, that would even be a plus as I love animals (unfortunately allergic to cats though). I would love to hear from you and if you have any questions, just shoot me a quick message :)
Hi i'm Anna. I'm relocating from Tamworth (regional NSW) to Canberra for full time work. I'm easy-going, enjoy great food and love to exercise and travel. I'm looking for a centrally located room and have lived in shared accommodation before.
My partner and I are looking for a household close to ANU, where I study Environmental sciences, and my partner studies mathematics, both in our final year. We plan to stay around in Canberra after we finish up uni to pursue jobs in the public service and academia. Previously, we have been living in a shared Unilodge apartment. We aren't fussy about size as we have lived in small areas before without issues.
Hi there. I am an ANU law student in my final years of study and work as a paralegal. I just moved back to Canberra from an exchange and am searching for a place that is central - ideally a two/three bedroom apartment. I am easy to get along with. I enjoy travelling, exploring markets, good food and exercise. I like to have a chat over tea or a meal, but I am also mindful and respectful of personal space.
Im Amy, I'm 21 years old and about to start my third year at the ANU (: I'm looking for a laid-back but tidy house, and would love to be living with people who are happy to be mates and have a chat, come on a coast-trip or to accompany me on a late-night Kmart run. Obviously though time alone is also super important and I am understanding and respectful of that. I'm completely happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to send me a message any time (:
Hi, I’m Stef. I’m a third year Economics/Arts student at ANU, and I’m looking for housemates who are social and easy-going, but also appreciate the need for down time. I love being around people, and am always down for a chat, a movie, or an impromptu adventure. I’m a pretty good cook, and enjoy sharing food with other people. I am a firm believer in unwinding over a glass of wine or gin, despite being a wine enthusiast on a student budget. I prefer things being tidy, though not obsessively so, but I’ll always do my share of the housework. I love bushwalking and being outside, however the sunscreen is never far away (RIP). My sense of humour can largely be explained by Monty Python, Blackadder, etc., and I am a shameless banterer. My procrastination from study takes many forms, from making fresh pasta or baking bread to Netflix marathons. When I’m stressed, I’m usually quieter, but I’m pretty self-contained and I try not to let it have an impact on other people. I generally avoid confrontation at all costs, but I will call something out if I think it needs to be said. While I love having friends around, and enjoy being generous with my own space, I’m pretty flexible as to the needs of other flatmates. I also come with a wealth of useless movie quotes, an unending enthusiasm for brunch, Hamilton, and facts stolen from episodes of QI or niche periods of history. If you think we would get along well, shoot me a message, and I can’t wait to meet you!
I've just moved from Sydney to Canberra to study at ANU this year, and am currently staying with family while I look for accommodation. I'm ready to move now but am flexible with my moving date. I'm a pretty mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am always up to attend live games/watch matches on telly. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Hey guys, I am a young professional who has just moved to Canberra from Sydney. I respect if you want personal space but I am down for the occasional banter, dinner outside or playing some sports during the week. Most weekends I expect to be in Sydney.
I'm a super chill person who gets along with nearly anyone! I'd be a reliable housemate who loves to cook, clean, go for hikes and would bring home a lot of pizza/snacks (I work at Dominos). Ideally I want to become mates with the people I live with!
I'm moving to Canberra for my new job with the APS and I'm looking for a share house in Kingston or surrounding suburbs. I'm a non-smoker looking for a friendly house. I respect other people's personal space and always pull my weight when it comes to housework. I don't have any pets but love animals, especially ogs! I'm also interested in teaming up to make a share house.
Hey! I am Kelly, I just came to Canberra one week ago and I am looking for a share-house or apartment near Canberra City. I am currently studying Master degree at ANU. I am a easy-going and tidy person. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Hey! I'm Aimie, I lived and studied in Canberra for 4 years, currently living in Sydney, looking to move back to Canberra for a short term rental before I head overseas at the end of April! Easy going, happy to have a few beers and watch tv as a house family, or let you have your privacy if you prefer. Let me know if you have anything available, happy to fill in a room for 6-8 weeks to help with bills while you look for a permanent roommate! Thanks :)
I am a 26 year old, second year medical student. I was born in the US but have been living in Canberra for the last 12 years. I am a jazz guitarist, ex-skateboarder, ex-frisbee player and avid podcast listener. I get around by bike. My ideal place would be on a quiet street, with considerate, interesting people, not too far from the city. Please, shoot me a message if you think your place would be a good fit. Cheers, Don
Hi! My name is Matt I'm a 2017 APS grad working at the Australian National Audit Office in the social services branch. I've been in Canberra for a little while now and really like it! I'm looking to move into a two-bedroom unit and need a buddy to team up with :) I'm a very clean/tidy and house-proud person and would appreciate a flatmate with the same values. I'm looking to move somewhere in the outer suburbs (which in Canberra means a 15-20min drive to the city lol). The units in the outer suburbs tend to be brand new and less than $500 a week I'm very friendly and have all the furniture and appliances needed so please get in touch if you're interested!
I've just moved to Canberra to do my PhD at ANU. In my free time I enjoy lots of activities including swing dancing and scuba diving. I would like to live with people who have previous experience living in a Sharehouse. Generally, I like to keep relatively clean for shared areas of the house (I have found cleaning rosters work great in the past). Looking for friendly housemates who are easy going and who will occasionally want to share a meal or end of day debrief. I don't have any pets but I love animals so happy to live with them and provide cuddles. Let me know if this sounds like you :)
I am a 22 year old who works full-time in the health field. I am clean and tidy as well as respectful for communal spaces. I am reliable and happy to pull my weight in relation to household chores. I am quite sociable and happy to have a glass of wine and a chat after work. I am also respectful of personal space. I would prefer a room with my own bathroom/ensuite. I currently have a lot of my own furniture from a previous sharehouse and would love to bring these along with me. I would also be happy to start a new sharehouse/ be interested in a team up I would prefer close to The Canberra Hospital. I have no pets myself but I am an animal lover so it wouldn't bother me if the household had pets.
