Hi there, I'm moving down from Melbourne later this year for full time APS role and looking for a room in the civic. I'm an outdoor-sy type of person. I love playing and watching all sports. In particular I like playing basketball and indoor soccer. I enjoy a good tough hike. I like to eat good food and keep healthy, but I'm not super strict with my diet and enjoy eating out and trying new foods. I like a social drink on weekends, especially in summer. As a housemate/person I'm a very laid back guy and not too fussed about anything. I'm very easy to get a long with and you can expect me to be very very clean and respectful of privacy. Feel free to drop a message
I'm very clean and tidy, easy to get along with and respectful for others. I have a busy lifestyle. I work in the public service and also have a casual job on the weekend. So i'm not always home. Very active person..cant stay home all day doing nothing. It drives me crazy. I go to the gym almost every day and cook good food. I'm a bit of a kitchen hog when i'm doing my meal prep. I love to socialise and hang out with friends but also enjoy my alone time :) Looking for a housemate/s who is clean and tidy, easy going, non smoker. I prefer to live in a new or newish property. My current housemate is moving out end of this year and i'm looking to live closer to work (I work in Barton). I can move in any time basically. If anyone is looking to start a new share house, i'd be happy to do that as well! So pls message me :) Thanks Jess
I'm easy going, but also tidy. Gotta love me some GOT and Rick & Morty. I work at a law firm in town, so most of Monday - Friday I'll be there. I enjoy my beer, wine and coffee as much as the next guy. I'm new to Canberra, so any tips and tricks of living the local life would be fantastic.
Canberran born and bred. Have been living overseas for the past 2.5 years and just returned. Full time nurse and part time yoga teacher. I'll give you free health advice and stretches. On weekends I'm usually away or hurtling around Canberra.
My name is Caila, and both myself and my current roommate Zoia are very interested in both rooms up for grabs :) A little about us. I am 26 years old, and a dietitian at The Canberra Hospital, currently working in oncology. I am also, a fellow vegetarian. Zoia is 24 years old, a master's student studying primitology at ANU, and has an undergraduate in Zoology. Safe to say, we are both massive animal lovers, both love runs around the lake, appreciate a good beer after work every now and then. We often cook up magnificent meals together and genuinely love each others company and meeting new interesting people.
Hello! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane to begin an APS grad program in Barton. I finished uni in 2016, studying economics and writing. As a housemate, I like to socialise with wine, netflix, cooking and baking - i do a pretty fantastic vego lasagna! I would be working full time, and probably out exploring on my bike or in the national parks most weekends, so i won't be in your hair too much (but if you're also into these things, that would be awesome too). I currently volunteer as a animal handler and creative writer at RSPCA QLD, so I adore animals and will hopefully continue to volunteer somewhere in the ACT. I don't smoke or have any pets. I have a partner who is remaining in QLD until February, so he would come to stay occasionally. I enjoy keeping a clean home so if you do too that would be perfect. I'm looking for somewhere furnished with a bed. I have a car so parking would be a plus, but not necessary. Let's chat!
I am clean and tidy. I am originally from Sydney, so will probably be making an often weekend trip to Sydney, so my flatmate can have the house to themselves. My Mum has taught me all the tricks of the trade in the kitchen, so I have a novel worth of Indian, Italian and Greek home recipes. I am moving to Canberra as a graduate in Feb 2018.
Hi! Update, 20th Sep: Still Looking for a place. I'm Rajith, a PhD scholar at ANU. I'm 25, Sri Lankan, quite social and love cooking! Pet friendly! Actually it's a plus if you have a doggo or a cat whose love I can share! Looking for a place close to the city in a social shared flat with friendly and tidy people. (and pets!) I don't mind sharing with either students or workers. Open minded, and keen to live with similar people. I speak English, Spanish, Sinhalese and German. Can move in anytime - would need at least one month notice to move from current place. Get in touch! Cheers, Rajith
I moved from Perth to Canberra late last year, so my lease is up in early November (willing to double up on rent for a couple of weeks to secure the right place). I am a 22 year old accountant - not with the APS - how different! My interests include cooking and trying to get to Fitness First classes on time and generally spending time in the outdoors. I am friendly and approachable around the house but am also able to provide my housemates with space (we all need it!) at times. I like hanging out with my friends on weekends but usually don't take the party home. As for the house, I'd like my own bathroom (doesn't have to be an ensuite!) and undercover car spot, happy to talk about furniture because I have none at the moment. I'm generally clean and tidy and don't like much clutter around the house - having lived in a couple of share houses I understand the importance of being considerate in communal areas such as cleaning up in a timely manner. Ideally I'd only be sharing with one other person, no couples or pets sorry - just personal preference and allergies. Please let me know if you think I'd be a fit for your house!
Young professional living, studying and working full time in Canberra looking for a place to stay for 6+ months. Likes: brunch, Netflix, sleeping in, wine, bad horror movies, wine, burritos (team guzman and Gomez), pad thai. Dislikes: Magpies.
I'm currently an undergraduate student studying Political Science at the ANU. My interests include volunteering, reading, binging Netflix shows and the occasional night out. I'd love to live in a more social sharehouse, though I am very respectful of others' space and privacy. I'm clean, responsible, fun and easygoing. Feel free to message me!
In 2018, I will be a third year uni student studying Law/Econ, while working part time. Very clean, easy to get along with, and I don't host loud parties very often. Independent and will largely keep to myself during the semester, but I'm also quite sociable and fun to hang out with. I am also a non-smoker, with a steady income.
I just moved to Canberra so when I chose those 4 suburbs its because flatshare recommended it and those were the only places on google maps that I saw before I moved here :D. I'm actually down for wherever as long as its not too far a bus ride to the city. im pretty outgoing, but I respect privacy and do like my own sometimes although I don't know many people here yet. I'm Japanese so any connections there are great (my accent is American tho excuse my uncultured self) and I'm going to anu from February so I'm just looking for a place for 4 months. I love sports, especially baseball and badminton. Uhm. I'm clean although sometimes messy, but that never leaves the boundaries of my room. I love music and I guess I'm just your regular teen. I'm pretty chill to hang out with, but I am pretty straightforward and sarcastic a lot of the time so if you can't handle a salty burn with commentary I may not be a safe bet aha.
Hi I'm Shaun, an anthropology PhD student at ANU. I've just recently returned from 2 years fieldwork overseas. I'm looking for a share house within cycling distance of my office at ANU. I treat my PhD like a full time job, 9-5 mon-fri. In the afternoons I like going to the gym , on weekends I usually travel up to Sydney. In my spare time I like to ride my bike, cook, and go to the gym. I've lived in share houses in Canberra before, I'm happy to contribute to cleaning duties, cooking communal meals, making you cups of tea or pouring you a beer/wine. I'm able to move in immediately I'd love to see your place and get to know you, I look forward to hearing from you!
I'm super clean, quiet, friendly and considerate of others. I'm moving down from sunny Brisbane in Queensland to set up life in Canberra. I will be working 2 part-time jobs and studying nutrition and sports science at the University of Canberra. My favourite things in accommodation is air and light and in my flatmates I REALLY appreciate cleanliness and kindness. I'm pretty outdoorsy and live and eat relatively healthy.
I'm an easy going, clean, culinarily apt, musically tasteful and considerate groovy gal who is lookin for a house full of friendly and functional people to call home with! I work full time so will be chilling in evenings mostly, I enjoy gardening and general backyard chills and can cook up a vego storm if you're interested. Like to keep my stuff together and I live minimally and tidy-like :) Commonly found hanging out with your pets or bopping to The Black Keys or various 70's rock artists in the kitchen preparing toast. Message me if you're interested!
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. I'll be finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle at the end of this year, then travelling for a few months and moving down in January. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, chill etc.
