I am a tidy, clean, organised, and organised person and have lived with housemates for many years. I rather enjoy cooking. I am pretty relaxed with bathroom usage. I am also a Christian who tries to live those values and be faithful to the implications of the lifestyle. I'll be moving to Canberra to be with my boyfriend and am seeking full time work (but will be relief teaching in the meanwhilst). I am currently a teacher, living in WA. The move would be a big one, but I do have furniture I can either bring with me or leave behind at my mum’s. I love to dance (tango and flamenco) and come complete with multiple teapots and a tea collection. I have a habit of adding wine to almost everything I cook ... wine not?
My name is Eli, single, from Brazil. I'm currently in holidays in Brazil and I will be back in the middle of February. I lived in Perth for 6 years and from now I will move to Canberra to try a new experience and, perhaps, get an opportunity for a sponsorship visa in the Childcare field. I am applying for jobs in ACT atm. I worked 1 and a half year for the company Guardian Early Learning Group in Perth. I like cooking; socialize; reading; listen to music and children. I am a non smoker. Regards, Eli
Hi, I'm a 5th year law student looking for a place to live. I'll be working part-time and studying full-time. Easy-going, clean and organised. Doesn't throw parties but might have friends over. Likes swimming, reading, coffee and going out for drinks once in a while. Doesn't smoke, no pets. Has a car so can drive you around from time to time, but no promises. HMU!
I'm from NSW Coast come to Canberra to study B Actuarial Studies and PPE. This would also be my last year in undergraduate (hopefully). I lived on campus at Ursula Hall for the first 3 years and then for the last year have been in share housing. I play tennis with the ANU Tennis club most days of the week (prob at least 5 out of 7 days) and cricket on summer weekends. Usually when i'm with my friends we're playing card/board games or table tennis, but just any casual fun. Other than that I'm pretty independent when i'm at home. Go on my computer, play games, watch movies etc. I also have a solid part time job when I'm not studying, and I bring a very small car with me - but don't need a carport or garage. The closer to ANU the better. Preferably within cycling distance. Keen for a place asap. Furnished a bonus.
I am a later year uni student, studying and working part time. Very tidy, organised and respectful. I am sociable and fun and have experiencing living in share houses. Happy to socialise or keep to myself. Looking for somewhere to live after returning from a semester abroad in Europe.
I've recently relocated to Canberra from Melbourne for a role in the public service. I'm looking for a decent sized room in an established share house in the city or inner suburbs. I'm very tidy and friendly, and I like to run and cook. I have bedroom furniture in storage, along with a big screen smart TV that may be appropriate for a living room in need of one, and am ready to move in in late Jan or early Feb.
I'm a Full-time student, working part-time. I try to keep busy and fit, between gym/friends/study/snow. Reliable with rent. Happy with keeping to myself but would prefer being social. Clean and experienced living in share houses and student residences. Ready to move in right away.
Hi there My name is Danielle, I’m a 33yo single lady relocating from the far south coast of NSW for work. I am very interested in a room with either an ensuite or my own bathroom. I have excellent rental references, secure full time employment, always pay bills on time, very clean, no fuss, respectful of privacy, friendly and easy to get along with. I have lived in share houses before & know the drill :) Keen to make some new friends and explore all Canberra has to offer! I am fairly quiet by nature, enjoy brunch with friends, quiet drinks occasionally (not the type to bring the party home though), grabbing a bargain or two at local markets, watching Netflix, reading a good book with a cuppa or catching a gig. I am also keen to improve my overall health, so would be looking to spend some time at the gym. I am looking to move to Canberra before 15th February. If you have a room available and you would like to meet with me, Saturday’s would work best as I am 3hrs south at the moment and still currently working full time hours - but happy to work out another day if that would suit you better :) Hope to hear from you soon, take care Dani
Hello! I am trying to find a place in Canberra, as close to the CBD as I can for work. I have just accepted a new job, and am originally from Adelaide. At the moment I am a Park Ranger in Victoria living in an Airbnb. Not sure how long I would stay for in Canberra, the job is ongoing, so all going well with the job and house I could stay for a while. Just let me know how long suits you. I am quiet and clean at home, and like to cook a lot and try out new things. I recently discovered thai green curry! I like doing some socialising, sharing a drink, but also just quietly chilling out. It's nice to talk to people after work and relax, I think I would miss that. I am a keen day hiker, and like exploring where I live. I am very environmentally conscious, an avid recycler, and keep-cup fan. Am a nature lover, in particular birds. I have a loud Princess Parrot (Kiki) back home I would eventually like to bring over, but if you don't like squawking I will leave her in Adelaide, no worries. I have lived in Canberra before, did 2 months over summer at ANU and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to coming back!
Hi I’m Hannah, a 24yo originally from Melbourne and will be new to Canberra at the end of January to start a public service position. I’m keen to find a room in an established house, ideally somewhere within bike riding distance to the centre of the city. I have shared houses for a few years and am a quiet and considerate housemate, respectful of personal space and like to tidy up after myself. After hours, I enjoy wine and cheese dinners and beers on a Friday, but I am also looking forward to getting out and about in Canberra! To balance out the fun, I also try to be reasonably active in my down time (incl. social sport, running, bike rides and gymming). I won’t have much furniture initially, except for my bedroom set up and a few kitchen items, though I am also interested to team up for a new place etc. If you’re looking for more information about me or think I’d be a good fit for your place, please send a message and we can connect through social media etc. Cheers, Hannah
I am a 23 year old Dane, who will be studying for one semester at ANU starting from mid February 2018 till June 2018. I am finishing my bachelor degree in media science, where I studied my first 5 semesters back in Denmark. I hope to have a great semester in Canberra, get some nice experiences and have the opportunity to meet new people. I characterize myself as a friendly, openminded and considerate person. In my spare time I like to be active, especially I like running. Also I like reading books, and I am really interested in movies and tv shows too (at the moment my favourite show is Black Mirror, it's awesome and also kind of disturbing). I have been living with two other roommates back in Denmark and I am used to sharing, cleaning and being a part of a houseshare.
I'm a fun loving 28 year old PE teacher relocating from Sydney for a full time job! I am sporty (play netball, futsal and go to the gym), i love the outdoors and I love exploring! I am looking for a friendly house where my roomies will be welcoming and up for a chat and a laugh - maybe the odd social event - but respectful of privacy and down time. Every few weekends I will travel back to Sydney to see my family and in the winter I hope to get down the snow frequently! **Flexible with move in date AND length of lease
Friends call me Kichu. I'm moving to Australia from India for my PG @ ANU on Feb 1, 2018. I am a full time student and will be working part time. I'm clean, liberal and easy going person who have shared apartments with many awesome people. I like to sing, percuss and read. I am a good teacher and can talk about science, technology and Indian music for all day long. I love dogs (and cats) even though I don't have any. I play CoD and CSGo.
Hi, I'm Brent. Recent University New Grade looking for a place to live in Canberra. Working as a full time Occupational Therapist at the Calvary Hospital Bruce. Super active, enjoy playing football on the weekend, socialising with friends (over a few drinks) and listening to music. Probably considered a 'tidy' person, I'm respectful of others space and ensure I maintain a clean home, have lived in shared homes whilst studying. New to Canberra so looking forward to learning where the best places to eat are and meet people who dont mind helping a new resident find his bearings. Cheers :)
Hi! I study at ANU and work in Barton and am looking for a place to move into. I am easy going, tidy and enjoy cooking. My current lease ends on the 31st of Jan so I am looking to organise something as soon as possible! Hope to hear from you, cheers.
Public servant moving from Sydney role to position in the ACT. Looking for initial short stay around 6 months while establishing myself in the new role
Hey all! I'm Katie and looking for a place to live in Canberra in February. I've got a dog so I'll always be out on a walk with him or playing video games. I'm always keen for a weekend adventure and having a chat over dinner. I've lived in shared accommodation before so I'm familiar with all the ins and outs of housesharing and definitely consider myself a tidy person to live with. I'll be working in the APS and currently do not have a vehicle of my own, but I do have a bike!
Coming from the slightly rural area of Kangaroo Valley in NSW (near Nowra if you have had the misfortune of knowing it); I'm a fun, slightly eccentric history and environmental student (double degree at ANU) who has spent his free time over the years travelling overseas and playing computer games (opposites, but what can I say). I also am employed as a lifeguard in Civic Pool, as well as receiving Centrelink (despite the struggle they put up). Whilst being quite a social person, I also understand personal space, as well as appreciate a bit of some for myself. I'm clean, can cook more than just Ramen noodles, and like a bit of a laugh and/or drink. Looking for someone to be able to share a place with until I leave for exchange in Europe around July this year!
I'm a really happy, upbeat guy moving to Canberra from Brisbane to study a masters of Development and Anthropology at ANU. Aside from studying I'll be working part-time and hopefully experiencing all Canberra has to offer. I love hiking, the outdoors, sport and barbies and hope to live with a fun and interesting group of people. I'm really clean and respectful, enjoy cooking and will adapt well to any living situation. I'm looking for anywhere relatively close to ANU (have never been to Canberra so I'm going in a bit blind) but the most important thing is the people. If you are looking for a new housemate, please don't hesitate to get in touch :)
Hey! I'm Amanda, 21, moving to Canberra to start my Master's degree at ANU. I'm looking for somewhere quiet to live and study, but also enjoy meeting new people and socialising. I'm from Sydney and have only visited the Parliament House and Questacon before, so keen to see what else Canberra has to offer!
