Hello, My name is Eric (male) from China ,currently studying in ANU master of business information system. I am a friendly, clean, tidy ,respectful guy. Non-smoking , no pet, and easy to get along well with anyone. Especially good at BBQ. I am interesting in a place which close to ANU or city. I can move in from February 2017 to 10 months or 1 year.
I'm currently working full time in the city and would like to find a place walking distance to work. Outside of work, I dance a couple of times a week and may try to fit in other activities. I'm organised, clean, respectful and pretty easy going. I enjoy some private time after work but equally enjoy sharing a meal and unwinding the day together if you are up for it.
My friend Dana and I are moving to Canberra and are looking for two separate rooms to rent (preferrably in the same property but not a neccessity). I'm 25 years old and Dana is 19 and we both work full time in childcare. We are tidy and friendly people who like our own space as well as socialising. I like to cook (Dana not so much) and we both like to eat, drink, watch TV, read, take walks, go on day trips, be outdoors, go to the beach etc. We are looking for a chilled, like minded flat/housemate(s) to share a space with. Hoping to hear from you soon!
I'm working full time in the Public Service, very clean and respectful and come with two dogs! A 4 year old red heeler, Buddy who is an outside dog and loves all people and animals and a 1 year old chihuahua, Boo (Princess Boo) who loves all people and animals but sleeps inside and needs her own space - only for her protection because she's so small!
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’ve just landed a full-time job in the APS and I’m moving to Canberra in January. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I'm a full-time student moving from Brisbane after just finishing degrees in Engineering and Science at the University of Queensland. I'll be starting an Astrophysics PhD at the Australian National University (Mt Stromlo Observatory) in March. I'm very chilled out, mature, tidy, not easily annoyed, enjoy having friendly chats, and exploring all that Canberra life has to offer! I like to keep the house clean, and am very respectful of others' personal space. I'm also pretty light-hearted, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh. I'd be most interested in living with other like-minded students, but also enjoy interacting with all different types of people.
Hi, my name is Jade. I am 21, moving from Perth Western Australia for a job in Canberra! I am really social and friendly, however I will be studying and working full time, so I probably won't be at the house all that much! I am an easy-going, friendly and clean housemate, hit the gym a fair bit, but I'm also happy to have a Friday night pizza and beer, and hang out with housemates. Alternatively, I am also more than happy to just do my own thing, but would prefer to live with people who love a chat, might want to come on a road trip, or give advice to help me learn to ski over weekends in winter! :) I enjoy a balance between work, study and the rest, and love being active. Happy to live with guys/ girls/ older/ younger. Send me a message if i might be a good fit for your home! :)
Hello, I'm Jey, a professional working a number of contracts. I work from home most of the time. I'm very clean and reliable. I mostly keep to myself. As I work from home, I need a room where a desk can be set up. Or somewhere in the house where I can set up a desk. I've a 13 year old staffy x jack russell. Rodney is by my side most of the time, thus he needs to be allowed inside. He's very clean and well behaved. He's getting older, so sleeps a lot, but is very friendly. Rodney needs a fully-fenced yard, and cannot be around any other animals. I can provide a reference for Rodney. I'd prefer clean and quiet housemates. I'm looking for a place for at least 6months, but will most likely stay longer if it's a comfortable living environment. I hope to hear from you soon.
I am deeply curious. A couple of years ago I discovered the wonderful world of programming, I have a yearning to learn new things. I have strong interest in foreign politics, social economics, information security, computer programming, literally anything that involved J. J. Abrams. Favourite authors including but not limited to, H.G Wells, Jules Verne, Steven King, Arthur C. Clarke, Douglas Adams. I very much enjoy engaging in meaningful, thought provoking conversations, although I can be a little existential. I am very easy going, responsible, relaxed and on the introverted side of the coin. Beginning the adventure that is University and adulthood. While I am still relatively young, I think you will find me considerably mature for my age, while still retaining some of my child like charms (Disney movies!) Feel free to contact me, I check my emails regularly! :P
Hi everyone! I'm moving to Canberra from the United States in late January to attend ANU for a postgraduate degree in Strategic Studies. I'm looking for a furnished apartment near ANU's campus in the Acton/Civic area to rent for 12+ months, ideally for less than 350 per week. Internet is a must. A little about me: I keep everything very clean around the house, and am a non-smoker. I'm not a partier, but I love sitting down over dinner and wine to talk politics, law, international relations, and philosophy. You'll normally find me with a book in my hand or in the gym. I enjoy an active lifestyle and random weekend adventures. Please contact me if you think we'd be a good fit!
Hi my name is Jedd, I moved in from Adelaide shortly before Christmas. Im working a really steady roster at JBHiFi in the city centre but I'm also studying VFX and Animation in Watson, and undertaking an internship in Acton at the Film and Sound Archive, so a place near the city or with good access to it is a must right now. I'm very clean and polite. I can cook for a group and I come with a staff discount at JBHiFi if we need to upgrade any ammenities. I like to get out a bit, either for drinks or the odd walk/jog, when it's in the budget I wouldn't mind joining a gym either. As far as hobbies, I'm big into both awful and good movies, comics and video games, I spend a lot of time illustrating too! I love pets if you have or want to have any, I have history as a pet/house sitter so people can vouch for me if you need it. I don't sweat the small stuff so I doubt theres any chance of friction living together. I'll be out of the house a fair bit anyways with all my commitments, but I'd love to be mates with whomever I lived with If you have any questions for me feel free to call or text me, I'm working till 5:30 most days though so apologies if any of my responses are delayed at all. I check my emails at lunch too! Cheers!
I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Hey! I’m Sarah and I’m looking for a room to rent from mid-late Feb (dates flexible) when I move over to Canberra from Perth. Looking for a lease preferably at least 6 months with an option to continue, or to team up and start a share house.
Hello! 24yo here about to move down from Sydney to start a role in the public service. While not really into partying til late, I love meeting new friends and will gladly have some fun over food, drinks, board games n movies. Most often found chilling on the PC/laptop and listening to music. It's my first time moving interstate but i've previously lived a year in Japan. I respect people's space/privacy and always clean up after myself. I love travelling and visiting museums and national parks - pretty excited to see what Canberra has to offer so will probably spend weekends out exploring when not taking a break at home. Personality-wise I am told that I'm friendly, easy-going and positive. Flexible around moving-in dates however the starting date for my full-time job is in the second week of February. Preferred length is stated as 6 months but is really flexible. Always happy to team up and establish a small sharehouse of 2-3 like-minded people also!
I'm looking for a short term stay (6-8 weeks) before I head overseas for a three week holiday, back for a couple of weeks then off for an extended period for work. I'm a professional, early 40's guy who is active, laid back and respectful. I started work in Canberra late last year, I'm easy going, clean, no mess, no stress, no fuss kinda guy. Looking in around South Canberra preferable Kingston which is close to work.
I am a very clean and tidy person. I'm not loud, I don't smoke nor drink. I don't go out clubbing and what not. I do like to socialise but I respect when you need alone time. I am from a place near Bega and I will be starting uni at UC on the 13th of February.
Hello! I am 22 years old and am moving over to Canberra from Perth in January 2017. I studied environmental science and geography and am going over to Canberra to start a grad job. I am looking for a place that is clean and tidy with a mix of social and solitude vibes. I went on exchange during uni and did the crazy social (not so tidy) house which I'm not looking for again - I'd just love to find something more clean and chilled out with house mates who'd like to have a drink/chat every now and again but where I can retire to my room and binge watch Netflix. Send me a message if you'd like to know anything more about me :)
I'm 28yrs old, full time employee working in a bank. Clean and tidy, Fun loving, love to eat and travel. Own PS3 and can play games all day. I also have a washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge which I'm happy to share. If you already have all or any of these things, I'd need a place to store all this. Enjoys music and movies. Looking for flatmate who enjoys similar hobbies. I'm new in Canberra and don't know much about this place and would love to explore. Flatmate who can become a friend will be awesome. I can drink anything but not a regular drinker. Don't like smoking next to me. Love to chat but need quiet time as well. I own a motorbike and will need a secured garage to park my bike overnight. Contact me
Hi there, I am a PhD student and Sports Dietitian. Sticking around Canberra for the next 3 years. I have a little cat, but she is very tidy and fully toilet trained. I am fairly quiet and respectful, but friendly. Looking for a chilled/friendly place to live :)
Hi! I'm Kat and i'm looking for a place to live in Canberra in February 2017. I'm moving down from Queensland for a graduate role and am hoping to live close-ish to the city with a few other people (male or female). I will be staying in accom provided by my department from Feb 4th - 21st and will be looking for a place during that time if you'd like to meet in person. I'm easygoing and a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who likes to socialise, but I also like my alone time and respect others need for privacy. I am clean and tidy (but not too obsessive about it) and love to cook! In my downtime I like to work out and explore new places. Ideally would like to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate, but also a friend - the kinda people down for Mexican Mondays, GoT sessions and a drink and a chat on the weekends :)
Hey! I'm a future ANU student from QLD looking for a place in/around Canberra to move into in march/April. I'm quiet, energetic yet easygoing, bubbly and friendly. I'm also a personal trainer and I absolutely love animals! I have one little shy grey cat, who I would love to accompany me on my move if possible, but I understand if that's not possible. I'm keen to either move into a room, sharehouse, homestay or find someone to rent a flat with. Please message me if you want any more details!
I've lived almost exclusively in share houses for the last 8 years (preceded by 6 years of boarding school) so I know all about being respectful of other peoples' spaces and reliable with rent, shared expenses etc. I'm super clean and tidy and I don't like mooching off others, so I expect the same from my house mates. I work full time in the public service so I won't be home much during the weekdays. Weeknights I'm usually pretty content just to do my own thing but I'm happy to jump on board social events too, especially when someone else organises it. It usually doesn't take much twisting my arm to get up to adventures on the weekends though. If you want to know anything else just let me know or feel free to do a cheeky Facebook stalk Also my move date is flexible! I had to put one down so it's just a rough estimate. Cheers!
Fun, tidy and easy-going, I'm a bit of a goofball, I like to keep the house in a reasonably clean state but am not OCD. I enjoy my quiet time but also love to sit around with a beer or glass of wine and have a chat. I have a pet cat who is very good with other animals and warms up to new people quite easily. I'm from country NSW but have lived in Canberra for almost a year now, studying and working. Would love to find a pre-existing place that accepts pets or team up with some people to form a new sharehouse. Ideally would like to team up with 2 guys similar in age who are cat friendly and looking to live in the inner North or South of the city. I usually spend time in the garden or going for walks, reading and I love hitting up Canberra's jazz bars and live music scene for a drink and a dance.
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 28 and I'll be moving to Canberra in January for work. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Prefer to live with like minded people and become friends rather than just housemates.
Im Amy, I'm 21 years old and about to start my third year at the ANU (: I'm looking for a laid-back but tidy house, and would love to be living with people who are happy to be mates and have a chat, come on a coast-trip or to accompany me on a late-night Kmart run. Obviously though time alone is also super important and I am understanding and respectful of that. I'm completely happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to send me a message any time (:
I'm Camila and I am currently living in Brisbane. I work full-time in the APS, and I my work is now taking me to Canberra. I am an easy-going, friendly person, who likes to socialize but is also respectful of others' space. I'm tidy and like to keep my place clean and organized. I like to chill during the weekends, go out and explore new places/things to do.
I'm a 22 year old from Adelaide who is moving to Canberra in late January for a one year contract in the Australian Public Service. I completed my Construction Management degree recently and have previously been working in Local Government/Council. I'm quiet and easy to get along with and my interests include photography, computer gaming and being outdoors.I cook occasionally, sushi is my favourite dish to prepare. I'm a tidy person who doesn't smoke and enjoys an occasional drink. I fly over on Jan 30 and need to find a place to live by mid Feb. I'll also need parking options for my car.
Hey, I'm Mandy from Adelaide who has recently moved up to Canberra to start a graduate program in the public sector this year. I am easygoing, amicable, and am equally respectful of others. I'm also clean and tidy, and will always pull my own weight. Though I enjoy my private time (parties aren't really my thing), I am always up for a good chat and socialising! I'm really looking forward to seeing what Canberra has to offer :)
Easy going, which suits the oz culture well despite being a Pom! Work FT at UC (professional) so no dramas with the rent being paid on time. Have been here 3.5 years and had a few shared house experiences now so I'm well trained! Very busy during the week with work and will be out your way in the mornings as i head out at 5:30am for the gym! Play footy on a weekend and love my sport in general. Anything else you want to know just ask :)
Hi guys, Me and my partner are looking for accommodation starting in february; I will work at mercure Accor hotel and my partner is a lawyer; we are easy going , friendly like partying and hiking. I am french and she is aussie cheers raf
Easy going, active public servant looking for short-term accommodation to June/July before heading overseas on posting. House trained and will provide wine and cheese.
I'm a 32 y/o male working in the public service. I'm pretty chill, enjoy a beer and some banter, not a huge fan of winter (who is?), tidy, clean and dot have much stuff (including furniture). Don't have pets and don't smoke.
Hey guys, My partner and I are looking for accommodation from around mid february. I'm Laearna, a 24 yr old mechanical engineer relocating for work and Will is a 24 yr old naval architect who i am dragging along with me. He who works remotely for a company in NZ. We are friendly people who like to laugh, get outdoors for adventures, spend nights out with friends or stay in with a drink cooking up something delicious. We are clean, respectful and easygoing housemates and have both lived together and in share houses before. We would ideally like to team up with another couple or some friends and find a place to lease together but would also happily slip into an existing share house if someone was willing to take us. Please get in touch if you think we would get along :)
Hi, I'm Vern. I'm a recent graduate from ANU. I'm currently working casual as a disability support worker while finding a permanent job related to my field of studies. I can be very sociable but I do enjoy having my own private time. I'm very clean (a little bit of an OCD lol) and quiet when I'm doing my own stuff. I love to cook, bake and chill over movies. I'm respectful of others' privacy and I hope the same from my housemates. :)
Hey I'm Tash, 23 and working full time in the Queanbeyan area. I wouldn't be home during the day and I'm courteous of others and generally quiet. Looking for something as close to Queanbeyan west as possible that will allow two small inside dogs. :)
I’m going to be starting medicine this year at ANU. I finished my undergraduate degree in Bioengineering at UCLA in Los Angeles, but lived in Qatar for most of life. At UCLA, I shared a room with 2 other guys for 2 years so I’m pretty well-accustomed to living with people. I’m pretty neat and clean when it comes to my living space. I also study a lot so I prefer living in quiet environments, but I do enjoy socializing (although I respect personal space and alone time), going out and partying from time to time. Work hard play hard lol. I can’t think of any hobbies I have besides eating, sleeping, reading, travelling, and spending an unhealthy amount of time on the internet. Feel free to hit me up to get to know me.
Hi All My name is Greg and I'm currently attempting to finish my Masters of Studies at ANU. I'm looking for a place closer to Uni. I used to play professional volleyball and have lived in many different sharehouses overseas. I'm a clean, easy going person who enjoys staying fit, cafes and reading.
Hey! I'm a full time student at ANU looking for a new place after spending a semester in the Netherlands. I'm super social and fun but I know when to have a quiet night and let everyone study/sleep etc. I love cooking vegetarian food (I happily await your teasing) and I'm trying to get back into the gym (but I've been overseas for 7 months so it might be a bit of a struggle haha). I LOVE travelling and try to get away as much as possible. I also love having adventures here in Australia so if you want a camping buddy or just someone to go on spontaneous trips to the beach with then let me know. I'm clean and tidy, punctual with rent and bills, and a responsible but fun housemate. I'm pretty easy to get along with and love to have a laugh over a few beers. Basically, I like to think I'm good fun and would love to enter a share house with similar people who will have a drink with me but also let me punch out the odd essay. Look forward to meeting you, Amber :)
I'm the best future house mate your ever going to have, alright? ummm I think that I'm a good person to live with because I have good understanding of my neuroses and I'm really conscious of myself in social and living interactions, and I balance this with a responsibility to myself to live in the moment as best I can.
Hey guys, My name is Bronte, I'm only 20 years old although I moved out of home when I was quite young, so I know all the protocols about renting. I pay rent on time, I also work 3 jobs so I'm in and out of the house at times. I like to socialise and have a few drinks, I can be quite outgoing, fun and I keep everything clean. I do have a dog, although his been through a few surgeries so his very laid back, friendly and loves people and cuddles.
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi! My name is Melissa and I'm a 2017 Grad moving to Canberra as one of the fresh waves of public servant recruits. I generally like to chill at home but I'm always up for house dinner nights and cooking experiments. I do like to be as active I can though. I'm a non smoker and not much of a drinker but I do love cocktails and that sweet sweet moscato. I also like to keep a clean house and am always happy to help with housework. I can guarantee that I will always pay my rent and if it helps, I'm a cat person but somehow I'm pretty popular with my friends' dogs. Let's meet! :)
Love fitness, sports, the outdoors, having a laugh and enjoy socializing. Having lived in share houses previously I am very understanding of space. Into a variety of shows and I really enjoy to cook when there is no rush.
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Hi there, My name is Nelson. I'm 21 years old and have recently completed a degree in International Studies at Deakin, Melbourne. I am seeking a room for a 3 month period as I will be undertaking an internship with the Australian Institute of International Affairs in Canberra. I'm friendly, easy going and always up for a chat or a laugh. I will probably be focused on the internship predominantly, but am more than happy spending time with housemates and relaxing. I am attentive, clean and respectful, and mindful of others in their own space. I would preferably like a furnished room, or one with a bed provided at least, mainly so I don't have to cart all my stuff up from Victoria. So please get in touch if you have a room available. Thank you.
I am an international film student from Indonesia. Pretty much into music, film, art, outdoor activities, camping, etc. I might play guitar and sing sometimes in my room, its an acoustic guitar so it will not make too much noise. I enjoy good talk, but love spending time in my room as well. Plan to buy a motorbike soon so a bit of space in garage will be great.
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I'm a fairly recent graduate working full time in the public service. Sociable and keen to make friends especially if that involves chilling out with a glass of wine. I like cooking, reading and going for nice walks around Canberra. Looking for a room for about 6 months, with guys or girls around the same age as me.
I'm a recent graduate of project management who will be commencing a full time graduate position. I'm originally from Melbourne. I am an outgoing and socialable person who enjoys meeting new people and bonding with housemates. At the same time I am respectful of people's personal space, as I also don't mind some down time myself every now and again. I like to cook as well as keep everything tidy. Ultimately I am an easygoing, respectful and reliable person who walks into every situation with a positive mindset.
Hey, my name is Eshan and I am a 26-year old young professional with a masters degree from ANU and currently working as a full-time mechanical engineer for a firm. I'm a LGBT friendly, easy going person that is fun to be around and is neat and clean. I stay in the office most of the time during weekdays and during weekends I enjoy having a couple of drinks from time to time with housemates, cooking, exercising, swimming and playing pool. My preferred length of stay is 1 year but flexible about length of stay, if necessary. Please let me know if my profile is suitable for your offered accommodation. Thanks
I am 45 but I don't feel old. I'm happy to live with younger people and I have a young outlook on life. I work very hard - leave for work at 6AM and sometimes not back until 8PM. So plenty of privacy for flatmates. I enjoy cooking, watching movies and netflix, etc. Happy to cook and share meals or to give my flatmates privacy. Love to enjoy a drink or two with flatmates. My partner lives in Sydney and I visit her every second weekend. Sometimes (rarely) she visits Canberra.
Hi I’m Von and I’m moving from Sydney to Canberra to commence a Graduate Program in February with the APS after finishing a Law degree. I’m generally a clean, quiet guy who enjoys reading and is into fitness. Non-smoker who’s up for a chat over a drink but respects personal space as well.
