Hi, I'm Tegan, I'm a full-time retail wench looking for a quiet house! In my spare time, I like to read, binge watch TV, play computer games and bake when I get the chance. I'll also be starting online study in the next few months. I'm a friendly person, but often at the end of the day I just need to have quiet time alone to unwind, so I won't be under your feet! That being said, I love finding mutual TV shows to binge together and like a chat :) I do my best to keep shared spaces clean and tidy and do my fair share of the housework. Ideally I'm looking for a small house with only 1-2 others. I work in the city, so I'm looking for somewhere between Belconnen and Weston Creek - I'd prefer an easier commute than Tuggers or north Gungahlin is all! Please message me if you think I'd fit in in your home, if you have any questions,or if you're a like minded gal looking to start a lease. Thanks a lot!
Hi everyone, I'm Tom, I work in the APS in IT in Greenway and have been in Canberra for 8 months. My current housemate wants to move out in the next month and I'd prefer to find a new place rather than try and find a new housemate - as such I'd be looking to move around the end of July/Start of August. I'm a very considerate housemate and will try and fit in with an existing household, I like to keep things clean but I'm not crazy with it. I'd prefer to live with people around my age to have a bit of a homely vibe where we can hang out. I like singing, lifting, photography, discussions and while I don't drink much anymore am still partial to a few beers every now and then. Would prefer something close to amenities. Secure parking is preferred and off-street parking required (I'm 25 and just bought a brand new car and insurance otherwise is super expensive :'( ) If you have/know of something that might be suitable, message me. Cheers, Tom.
I'm single girl, 36 years old, living in AUS for about 5 years, 4 years living in NSW Northern Beaches. During the week I'm a Childcare educator working fulltime and weekend Casually babysitter. I'm super quiet, who loves helping people, with no many friends, that enjoys swimming, go out for some hiking, camping and enjoy the unique AUS nature. Just joined to a Gym as I wouldn’t like to get frozen running in the streets. Super healthy, ex smoker. Love watching the sunset near the lake and have a ride anywhere. I'm looking for a UNFUNISHED toom, ensuite preference, where I can have my own privacy, enjoy the silence as my week use to be very, very noisy! For sure I love socialising and have great chat while I’m cooking the meals for the week and some fit cakes to watch a movie! :) If you have any question please make yourself comfortable and do it. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Talk soon!! 😊✌🏼
Hi. My name is Adrianna. Originally from QLD, I moved to Canberra in 2016 for a Grad program. I always like to share a laugh and a good time with housemates, but also enjoy my own space and time. I am clean, and can offer most furniture and kitchen items to the mix if needed. I have never had dramas with housemates before, and consider myself pretty easy going. During the week I try* to live a fit and active lifestyle, exercising most afternoons and enjoying a home cooked meal (more than happy to share cooking with house mates, or do my own thing). On the weekends I play hockey, try to do something outdoorsy with friends, and take a couple of hours to chill.
I am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to buckle down and finish my degree in computing after taking some time off. Ideally looking for somewhere to call home, although I'm happy with temporary arrangements as well. I've been filling out 1form applications for almost five years now, so needless to say that I'm fully house trained. I am incredibly easy-going and am respectful of others' space and privacy. I recently ruptured my PCL so my interests have recently become a lot more sedentary. In my spare time, I like eating, cross-stitching, playing board games, exploring the city, and binging on Netflix. I'm a bit of a green thumb and am big on sustainable living. I'm also an advocate for mindfulness and have been trying to live life more deliberately. I try to keep active, although lately that's been mostly limited to the gym and cycling as of late. I tend to keep busy, but am more than keen for a chat with an occasional glass of wine. P.S. I can and will happily cook for you! P.P.S I can also come with an xbox one with kinect and apple TV
We are a hardworking, sociable couple. Tristan is an engineer and I am a full time 4th year social work student with two part time jobs. We have been trying to find a place of our own but every inspection we go to there's 15-30 people and we never get selected when we apply. We have to move on the 30th as the house we are currently living in has been sold, this has all been causing us a lot of stress. We have now rented a storage locker and have stored most of our belongings in there, we will accept basically anything at this point. We would like something short term since we intend to keep applying for a place of our own, but we also have no idea how long it will take to find something so committing to be out by a certain day would be undesirable as well. Neither of us are party animals or smokers. We are pretty new to Canberra so this could be a good opportunity to meet new people and make friends. In Darwin we really enjoyed game nights with friends and going out for trivia so ideally it would be cool to end up living with someone who may be interested in doing those things as well :) We are not fussed whether the room is furnished or not as we have a bed but it will easily fit in storage
Seeking a large room, in a warm friendly house in Canberra! Also interested in teaming up with others to find a nice place. I'm an experienced house-sharer, work full time, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I'm a creative type, enjoy a good conversation, playing guitar, photography / videography, and getting out into nature for a decent walk. Currently in a one bedroom apartment paying a silly amount of rent on my own. Want to reduce my living costs, and join some other likeminded folk in a warm, comfortable, spacious place that's homely. Open to teaming up with a few others and getting a place, if the personalities all work. What i need is a large unfurnished room to fit my queen sized bed, shelving and large desk, or a seperate area / room / study for shelving / desk. Also have a car, so will need a space to park that. Have a small bunch of furniture - queen sized bed, couch x2, fridge, microwave, bookshelves, 46" TV, stereo, bookshelves, etc... can be used if needed, otherwise will be put into storage / sold. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
I'm a Canberra local and work at an NGO doing media/comms work. Seeking to share a flat or house in the inner north or south with one or two other professionals of similar age. I'm quiet, clean and respectful of other's space but also enjoy a chat over a drink or dinner a few times a week. Not a health fanatic by any means but I try to keep active and live well. I go away for work and on weekend trips now and then. If you have pets that is generally a bonus, especially if I get to play with/walk them as well. More into reading, arts, current affairs and learning stuff than in watching The Bachelor (which seems to be a defining feature here on Flatmates...). Send me a message if you think I'd fit in well at your place!
Very clean, keep to myself, trustworthy, friendly, alway pay for own items and rent, and easy to get along with. I have no interest in drugs, I rarely drink, im very focussed on my health, diet, gym lifestyle, working life and study. I’m currently living in regional nsw, although needing to make a move for myself. So I’m looking for something to keep me housed until the end of Jan 2019 as I will be looking to potentially move on campus accommodation at University of Canberra as I will be starting study. I would like to move in potentially with people approximately aged 18-25 so I feel more at ease surrounded by people I feel comfortable with. I do have complete respect for woman and I understand that I may potentially be sharing with them. I like my space and they deserve their own as well, don’t think for a second I’m taking advantage of that.
I’m moving from Brisbane to Canberra for work. I’m really easy going, can live with pretty much anyone, don’t really have any pet peeves or anything. I’ll be working some long days and will be joining up to do dance classes after work. I also am working towards finishing my MBA and moving onto my PhD. Suffice to say that when I relax, I reeelllaaaxxxx - with a glass of wine (or another stiff drink), and go out to dance or try to catch-up on Netflix. I also have a green thumb and you may end up seeing some herbs or fruit trees if there is outside space. I also love to cook from baking to slow cooker to feasts to the simple toastie. I have no idea how Canberra is laid out but I’d like to be near a bus line or close to the airport (work).
Hi, My name is Holly, I'm a down to earth, genuine person. Honest, responsible and respectful. I'm unique, a lil outside the box, yet also fun, quite, very clean & tidy, and not into drama . A little alternative in some aspects of life. Preferably after a self contained unit/ studio/ bedsitter/ flat or even a caravan type rental. Seeking longer term rental.
(looking to move out by August) Hey there! I'm a bubbly 19 year old girl working full time in Manuka during the day as a dental nurse and I work casually at night at the Kingston Hotel. So normally I work all day in Manuka and then all night in Kingston so you won’t see too much of me! Also most weekends I go home to my home town in Bredbo or working. I'm a bit of a neat freak so ideally I'd like to live with someone who likes to keep things clean. I like to keep to myself most the time (usually being lazy watching Netflix in my bedroom) but I'm always up for a chat. What I'm looking for is a tidy house where I can be myself, occasionally have my friends over (although when drinking I do it at friends places so I don’t mess up mine haha) Thanks, Lauren! X
My name Georgia, and I am looking for a place to rent. A little bit about me, I’m 23 and work full time for Health at the new hospital in Bruce. I don’t go out much, and if I do it’s usually for dinner with friends. I love the occasional glass of wine but don’t drink very often. I love socialising with housemates but I also enjoy watching movies in my room and just having down time. I have two small dogs, Felix is a 4mo Shiba Inu and is a show dog, and Mouse is a 5yo Chinese Crested Powderpuff and is a retired show dog. Both are house trained and really relaxed dogs and will melt your heart!!!
Hey there. A bit about myself: My name is Mel, 25 years young and I've been in Canberra for the last seven years. Of those seven, I've lived in shared accommodation for five, and have yet to fail paying my rent on time. During the week, I work full-time in a consulting firm. In my spare time, I'm pretty fond of hiking, Netflix, cooking and checking out events at galleries. I consider myself to be a fairly career focused, courteous, neat and friendly person. While I don't have the expectation to become best mates, I also don't want to be living with a complete stranger. I'd love to have a chat over coffee and see if we are well-suited housemates. If things pan out, I’d be seeking to move in somewhere between 4-6 weeks. Let me know if you're keen. Thanks!
I'm a little bit of an introvert, but I don't shy away from doing fun things with others! Im not lazy when it comes to doing dishes and other chores around the house, and I’m quite tidey. I’m from South Africa who has recently spent a few years in the United States, and I’m looking to live while I study nearby. I love to play games of all types (from board games to video games), but I that's definitely not limited to just myself. I also love cooking.
I've lived in a shared home and shared my own place in the recent past, so know all about respecting a home and ensuring that its well looked after. I'm the quiet type, enjoys cooking, likes to do my own thing while still being social with the person I live with. I work full time, travel light (so won't need a lot of storage space), and try to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. So if you're interested in having an easy going and respectful flat/house mate, just send me a message. Thanks
I am a 22 year old working in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor. I am very easy to get along with, tidy and always up for a chat or drinks but I respect everyone's privacy. I have a full time job so I am out of the house for most of the working week but like to spend my time either in the gym, socialising or playing games. If you are interested or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Hello future housemates! My name is Shri and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems iIlike to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
Hey there guys, My name is Matt and I've recently made the move to Canberra from Adelaide. I'm a young professional working in an engineering services consultancy newly established in the ACT. I'm looking for some like-minded, laid back young professionals or students who are keen for a chat, hang out together on the weekends, but respectful to the commitments of others. I'm an easy going, considerate and a country boy who's lived in shared accommodation / rental environments for the previous 9 years. I love spending time outside, working out at the gym, cooking up a storm and the occasional Netflix binge. My work weeks are typically high energy early morning starts and late nights. My weekends are usually quiet but social. Internet and off-street carparking are preferred. I'm pretty open to teaming up with others to start a new house in the inner suburbs. So if you're interested, hit me up!
