Hey, I’m Jessie. Im a 28yo woman, I study population health at ANU and work as a nurse in the Woden Valley. I have a cat named Beck who is 9yo and chill af. I am not a clean freak but can adult pretty well. I pay my rent on time. I’m accepting and quite open minded. I’m looking for somewhere closer to the city than I currently am, preferably with its own bathroom. I’m looking for a new place to live as the son of the people who own the granny flat I currently live in is moving back to Canberra from interstate. . How does that sound to you?
I'm a 30 year old woman from Slovenia. I am moving to Canberra to work as an astronomer at the observatory. I am looking for a private room in a shared house, preferably with a garden, from mid June. Heating in the room during the winter time is essential. I like to spend my time outside - hiking, cycling, snorkeling, whale watching, stargazing etc. but I also like to read in the garden, play cello (a silent one!), take photos and enjoy interesting conversations. I would very much like to live with people who would not only be my flatmates but also friends who would join me on my adventures, share a meal and go out together now and then.
I like to play games. Tennis, cricket and Overwatch to name a few. I can cook, but probably shouldn't. I'm a social being if there's something on but am happy to live independently if I have to. Keen to get back to the snow. I also have a solid part time job when I'm not studying, and I bring a very small car with me - but don't need a carport or garage. I do however need the place to be close to ANU so anything that's more than a 30min bike ride is too impractical for me. HMU if you like what you read. Am keen for a place asap. Furnished is a bonus.
Hi, I'm going into my final semester of uni and work part time. I have previous share house experience and am friendly, clean and considerate. I enjoy socialising while also being respectful of people's space, and I'm clean & quiet :) Looking to move in mid July when our current lease ends. Hobbies include writing, reading, and both going out with friends and staying in with Netflix and a warm blanket!
Hey there guys! Im coming back to Canberra from Melbourne for work, I recently graduated from ANU. I'm a relaxed person, always keep my surroundings clean. I will be away for most of the day at work and like to relax at other times. I am also studying for CPA at the moment. I play soccer on the weekends and like to hang out with friends. Please get in touch if you have any rooms to rent.
I am a friendly and adventurous person who prefers quiet Friday nights at home. I like to keep spaces, especially common areas, clean and presentable. I am respectful of others' privacy, the way I like mine to be treated, but am also up for chats over dinner and hanging out. :) I've recently moved from Sydney to Canberra for work and I'm quite enjoying liking it here in Canberra! I love being out in nature, hiking and exploring new places. I have a huge soft spot for food, so I like trying out new and different cafes. I also enjoy spending time with friends and getting to know people. In my own time, I like to write, read, play music, and watch TV shows :)
I'm a very vivacious and active person who is looking for a quiet place to live with my older sister. I am the assistant manager at an outdoor adventure store and my sister is a very busy bike mechanic who also cycles professionally. We are very friendly and responsible adults who enjoy the outdoors and travelling. We are hoping to find a granny flat for the two of us in a more central suburb as our jobs are located in both the north and south of Canberra.
So.. I am 27 and moved to Canberra in last November. I currently work at ACT Health. I always see life very positive with a smile . Depending upon what you want me to be, I can either be a great friend or a good housemate (or both) . But I am a bad cook. Drawback of being spoon-fed all my life by my parents. So if you are my housemate you will surely see the funny side of my cooking miseries. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. Yep.. I am boring. But hey it is always nice to have a sober housemate friend who can drive. I am a movie buff and always up for Netflix, Movies and dinner with my mates.
About me, I am a non-smoker who lives an active lifestyle while being very neat and organized. Added to this, I always follow all the house rules and would only use the necessary areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Aside from going to work, I'm usually out on training either swimming, cycling, running or working out at the gym so I prefer to be located close to any of these facilities. I'll be working soon in Murrumbateman so let me know if you've got what I'm looking for. Utilities/Facilities that I'm looking for: -Nearby gym & swimming pool -Indoor aircon & heating -Dryer for clothes -Garage space (for my car & 2 bikes - 1 bike will be stored inside my bedroom since it will only be used for weekend training)
Hey Flatmaters, i'm Anthony, looking for temporary residence whilst I reestablish myself back in the Berra. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social, enjoy a chat. About me : enjoy the outdoors, travelling, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends... If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
I'm joining ANU as a Post-Grad student for the Semester 2. I'm great to talk to, friendly and responsible hence there won't be any dues on rents, bills, etc. Like to keep the place I live tidy and would expect a roommate to be the same as well. My favorite pass time would be to watch movies or TV shows that are trending. Love to shop around and get a few drinks once in a while. I'm a dog-lover and love to babysit them for friends or family. Can cook pretty well and a food-lover. So I'm pretty sure I could be the best roommate you can get :) I'm looking for a place close to ANU which would not take me more than 15 mins on commute. Preferable roommates are students and non-smokers. Smoking outside the premise is fine:)
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days per week. P.P.S. I am a non-smoker, but I don't mind if you smoke, so long as it's outside and not in the house. P.P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously.
Just about to start my post-doc over at ADFA (as part of UNSW), I'm a bit of an outdoors person, my current sport of choice being mountain biking but I also climb, kayak, hike, etc. At home, I range from quiet to social. I enjoy cooking and the occasional movie night/dinner party, or just relaxing with a drink and some Netflix (favourite show on Netflix is Rick and Morty).
We are future Masters Students at ANU for this fall and we are looking for accommodation for two, we are awesome Fun loving Gregarious Love to party Always serious about studies and credible Love to stay with someone who can be flexible at times and can eat delicious Indian FooD :)
We're two friends looking for a house or some fun housemates to team up with. Sophie's from Canberra and Simone's moving back to Canberra after a year in Sydney. Both of us work full time and are keen to live with laid back housemates who like hanging out after work, heading out on weekends and who also don't mind a few quiet nights in between.
Currently looking for a room or to team up with some like minded fun people. I have been living in Reid for the last 18 months but the landlord is selling the house so time to move! I'm 25 play a lot of sport during the week and go to the snow over the weekends. I am outdoorsy and social and enjoy a wine or beer with housemates. I have been in share houses since I was 18 and like to think I know how to behave in one by now :) I would like to live out of the inner suburbs with a little bit more space like Hackett or O'connor.
We are a geeky, quiet couple who like playing video games, cooking up a good dish, watching Netflix, anime and copious amounts of youtube. Ben is often working on some kind of project often involving robotics or programming, and Shannon is often drawing, illustrating and enjoys creative projects. We both enjoy video games, board games and occasionally going to jazz club. We both are self-employed and run our own start-ups as well as aid other businesses around Canberra. Ideally, we would like to get a 2 Bedroom apartment close to the city with either another person or preferably another couple. But are open to getting 1 or 2 Room in a sharehouse elsewhere. Feel free to message us for a chat or meet up for coffee. :) Ben: Flatmates autocrops the picture... no face for me.... :( Shannon: I AM THE RULER OF FACES NOW!!!
I am Sushmitha from India. Joining ANU for sem 2 as a grad student for applied economics. I am 23 years old looking for an accommodation close to ANU campus. Would prefer only female roommates. I am very socializing, friendly, kind and organized. Love music, movies and food. I cook quite well too. I am a vegetarian but I do not mind my roommates being meat eaters. I am helpful and fun to be around- so I will be a great roommate! :)
I'm an English PHD student at ANU, and I love reading and movies as much or more than the next person. I just love stories, honestly. I'm outgoing and easy to get along with, and I hope to find a place with similarly easygoing housemates, so we can hang out sometimes, and have friends over or live quietly at others. I really like how pretty Canberra is, it makes walks an even better past time! I am looking for a share house with people who are laid back, like conversation, but don't need it all the time.
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
My name is Rachel, and I'm looking for a private room in a house or flat in Canberra( will move to Canberra from Melbourne and study in ANU by the end of June). I'm quiet, clean, easygoing and have lots of hobbies such as photography, folk and post rock music. Also, I'll enjoy having dinner or chatting with roommates, like friends. I respect other people's privacy as well. Hope to find a place that close to ANU (0-5km) and nice roomies.
Moving from Brisbane to Canberra in July and looking for a room to rent with other females that are happy for my boyfriend to stay a few nights a week. Looking for a place that already has furniture and isn't to far from the CBD. I'm friendly and love socialising, very clean and will be looking for a job asap :)
