I'm a 26 year old male moving to Canberra mid-February to start a graduate role with the government. I’m pretty quiet, easy going and enjoy a social drink. I’ve lived in share houses before so I’m house trained - clean, tidy, respectful and do my part around the house. I'm a couch potato but if you have a gym membership I won't hold it against you
Hello 😊 I am a recent graduate from Brisbane and have moved to Canberra for full time work in the public service. People often say I am easy-going and responsible. I am clean and tidy and I also enjoy cooking. I like to get out on weekends to socialise, however I also value quite time. You will often find me at a cafe enjoying good food with friends. And on special occasions you will often find me on the dance floor 😆💃🏾. I love to travel and experience different cultures, so I am very open to meeting new people :) Looking for a place close to my work in Barton, preferably with 1-2 other people.
Both of us are working full time. Finding a place that is near our work, we love hanging out and meeting new friends. We would like to make new friends and someone who can be easily get along.
I'm Katy, born and raised in Perth with an Aussie/Hungarian background. I'm making the move to Canberra to commence as a graduate in the public sector. I am clean, tidy and am after my 'home away from home' where my housemates are mates and enjoy spending time together as well as being respectful of privacy. I am a decent cook, enjoy being active, don't discriminate when it comes to beer, wine or spirits and have a love for all things Scandinavian (yes, my partner even fits that category - but he's not moving with me for now.) I have lived out of home in Perth, Copenhagen (Denmark) and Uppsala (Sweden), where I shared a kitchen with up to 12 people and other common areas with up to 50 so I am no stranger to respecting others and in sharing the housework.
I'm looking to join or create a mixed sharehouse with a great vibe - ideally one where everyone is keen on the occasional house 'family' dinner and the odd weekend adventure (be it camping down the coast… or brunch). I work as a public servant, play hockey and touch footy, love reading and dancing to old school RnB and enjoy just hanging out. I also come with a foosball table and a tiny bit of competitiveness.
Final year commerce student at the ANU. I only have one semester left to study this year, as I am going abroad for an exchange program in the second term. Which is why I am only looking for a place from mid-February to mid-June. I am clean and tidy with over 1 year's experience in renting and sharing a living space with others (i.e. not living at home). Currently on an internship in Sydney and will be back in Canberra until mid-February. I am a quiet person who enjoys cooking and respects privacy. I enjoy watching/playing tennis and basketball in my free time. For more information please feel free to contact me. Thank you
Hi everyone. I am looking for a nice apartment for a six month stay while I wait for my new apartment to be built. I'm a full-time professional, nice (it matters!), clean and keen for a place of calm at the end of the day. Jason
Public Servant who works fairly long hours, originally from North Queensland Low maintenance kinda guy who mostly keeps to myself, but enjoys the occasional drink or conversation over dinner.
am a 27 year old male of Filipino descent who enjoys playing sports(mainly basketball), video/board games and going on nice hikes. I like to rent a nice a quiet place to rent for at least 12 months where I can just relax at the end of the work day. I am planning to relocate before the 20/02/17. I am not a big party person but very welcoming on knowing new friends.
Pretty chill, just as happy doing my own thing as hanging out with others. Moving to Canberra to study postgraduate clinical measurement science with full time placement at the hospital. I've been living in a share house for the last three years so I know whats what. I treat everything as if its my own (in a good way) and I'm respectful of other people. I like things neat and tidy but between study and placement I don't think I'll be home often enough to cause a mess.
I'm a mid-twenties recent graduate - just finished up my masters at ANU and looking for work in the public service. I'm working in hospitality in the meantime. I'm relatively new to Canberra and moved here from Adelaide at the start of my degree. I play basketball 3-4 days a week and am fairly social on weekends - prefer a casual drink at home/the pub but don't mind the odd outing. I try to keep myself fairly busy. Looking for a place with friendly people who are down for a chat every now and then. I am respectful of space and just as happy quietly reading as I am watching television/cooking with room mates.
I'm a PhD student at ANU, looking for a place starting early Feb 2017. I'm a quiet and neat person who keeps fairly regular work hours (roughly 9-5) and a normal sleep schedule, happy to chat but also happy to just do my own thing. Looking for someone similar to share a place with, and I'm leaning towards public servants or postgrad students - but if you aren't one and think you still fit the bill, feel free to write me a message. In particular I would like a room with my own bathroom, located not too far from ANU (I'm thinking Acton, Braddon, Turner, O'Connor, Reid, Barton, Kingston - in that order of priority), and preferably with just one or two other housemates.
I've just moved from Sydney to Canberra to study at ANU this year, and am currently staying with family while I look for accommodation. I'm ready to move now but am flexible with my moving date. I'm a pretty mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am always up to attend live games/watch matches on telly. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
I am moving over to canberra to join the APS . I am always happy to have a chat, enjoy a drink and share a meal . I am fairly easy going and am more than willing to pull me weight around the house.
I am a hardworking professional who is clean and social. In my spare time I enjoy chatting with others with a glass of wine in hand, watching TV or trying to motivate myself to complete my Masters degree. Due to Personal circumstances, I will only be around a few days a week.
I'm a PhD student in plant sciences at CSIRO Black Mountain Innovation Park (Near to ANU). Always fascinated to know about different life styles and cultures. I also enjoy reading, listening music, watching movies, painting and travelling to new places. I value physical and mental fitness and believe in having all-round persona. I would like to live in a healthy social house. I am a good cook and can cook almost all type of Indian vegetarian food.
Hola! :-D A little bit about me: I'm a super kind and easy going person! Clean and tidy! Social! You can find me me at yoga most week nights, or strolling around the 'burbs/lake. On weekends I love to breaky/brunch out and explore walking trails, finishing the day with drinks at bars with friends. I love to paint, read, cook/bake, currently learning to play the guitar! I love a good movie/tv show marathon on occasion. I vibe and get along with everyone :-)
I'm a very friendly and easygoing 26 year old, working full time Monday-Friday. I like to live in a clean and tidy place, I clean up after myself and happy to share chores/housework. I always keep my rent and bills up to date and paid on time. I enjoy being social with housemates but at the same time, I respect housemates space and privacy to do their own thing and also appreciate my own. I don't have a preference for housemates gender. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and baking, getting fit, good food, drinks, music and getting out and about - but also sometimes just relaxing at home with a netflix binge! I have no problem with housemates having friends/guests/partners etc visiting and staying however I'm not into 'party' houses and don't host parties. Overall, I am looking to live in a nice, tidy and relaxed place with someone friendly who shares similar interests :) Please get in touch if you'd like to chat more :) My moving date is also flexible.
Hi, I'm Harriet, I am from Sydney and am moving to Canberra for a graduate program in the APS. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options, i will be looking to definitely stay in Canberra for at least one year. I am looking for a share house in the inner north/inner south of Canberra, close to work so i can bike ride. Outside of work I like to play team sports, go on meanders/walks in the bush, swim, find great lunch/dinner spots, watch Netflix, read and so on. I consider myself pretty easy going, clean and tidy and am looking forward to living in Canberra. During the working week I am a laid-back kind person so would love some people to relax at home with and share a meal who also won't mind if I chill in my room sometimes. I am open to furnished or unfurnished options. I look forward to hearing from you so let me know if you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with!
Hi! I'm a 23 year-old Law graduate from Adelaide, moving to Canberra in late February to work at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. I love travel, food (especially brunch) and wine (or a cheeky espresso martini)! I love meeting new people and am looking forward to exploring everything Canberra has to offer, so am looking for roommates who are sociable and keen to hang out ☺️ If this sounds like you, I can't wait to hear from you!
Hi I'm Alex, currently looking for a room around south or inner south Canberra. Either a room for rent or happy to combine with others to create a share house if need be. Don't mind be social and having a few drinks etc but respect others privacy as well. Feel free to contact me if you would like to know more or talk.
Hi, my name is Christine, 30 years old and I have moved to Canberra two weeks ago. I work in cafe and I am looking for a room for 2-3 months. Preferably quite central as I get around by bicycle and public transport. I love going to the movies, meeting friends for a coffee, travelling, reading, baking and yoga. As I have lived in shared houses before, I know how to clean up after myself and have respect for each others spaces. I am open minded and friendly. If there is a dog in the house, that would even be a plus as I love animals (unfortunately allergic to cats though). I would love to hear from you and if you have any questions, just shoot me a quick message :)
Basically looking for within 30 min bike distance to ANU Easygoing. Like my alone time but can be social too, depending on how my flatmates would be. Like a good conversation, passionate about a lot of things (from travelling to sports to physics and philosophy). Like to keep a clean house but not obsessive about it.
Hi! I'm Shelley. I'm 25 and moving to Canberra in February to start an APS career. My move date is flexible, but the latest I'd like to move is the 24th of February. I'm clean, tidy and a non-smoker. I'm not a chef, but I can cook and I'm happy to share meals. I'm quiet and respectful, but I'd like to get along well with my flatmates and live in a sociable environment. I like to read, exercise, and I'll watch most things on TV. I'm also happy to get out and about and try new things in a new city. I look forward to hearing from you!

I'm an engineer, who once dreamt of being an artist. I love reading (all-sorts including comics), catching up with friends, keeping active and working on random projects - I sew, I bake, I mould, I make. I like to learn or work at tasks and projects that catch my fancy, and every now and again I act. Beyond that, I'm tidy, reliable, relatively laid back and a non-smoker. I'm fairly easy going; a bit of an introvert, but happy to socialise. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hi I'm Tash and I've just moved to Canberra, all the way from Cairns in sunny Nth QLD. I'm 25 years old, and I'll be commencing an APS graduate program this year. I'm very organised and tidy. I enjoy both spending time at the gym and spending time chilled out watching movies/reading on the couch. I like some alone time, but would also love roommates who are happy to chill out and enjoy and chat or movie night in the evenings.
Hello! I am a 29yo male public servant/PhD student. I like to do a fair bit of exercise (team sports and running) and socializing, but less than I would like because of work and study. I think I'm pretty easy going. My girlfriend is studying overseas so I'll visit her for a few weeks in June I think. Cheers Chris
Hey there, my name's Ajit, I'm a Melburnian who'll soon be moving to Canberra (around February 11-12) to begin a Masters degree at ANU. I'm looking for a place to stay during my degree (up to February 2018 preferred). I'm a clean and friendly tenant who's respectful of one's space and privacy. I can keep my room in a bit of a clutter, but I'm quite aware of cleaning up after myself in shared areas, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. As a student, I'll be studying at uni mostly but will also spend time studying at home and working part time on the side (as an uber driver/hospo). I'm an average cook and do enjoy cooking for myself, but am also happy to share a meal now and then. Also enjoy a bit of banter after uni/work. I haven't moved out of Melbourne before so I'm keen to make new friends. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you :).

I love keeping active, being social, travelling and animals 😊. I think I have been to a Zoo in 10 different countries! If you have any other questions im happy to answer them 😊
I am looking for temporary accommodation in Canberra to undertake an internship with the AIIA (finishing in late June). I am tidy and considerate and happy doing my own thing, but also keen to have house dinners or watch TV together every so often if that is something you also enjoy. Addicted to coffee and happy to bring you one too.
Hi i'm Anna. I'm relocating from Tamworth (regional NSW) to Canberra for full time work. I'm easy-going, enjoy great food and love to exercise and travel. I'm looking for a centrally located room and have lived in shared accommodation before.
Fresh grad, used to live in Melbourne and just got a job in Canberra which starts in a week or so. Hence, I need a place ASAP. I am pretty clean and chilled. Enjoy late night wine and chill sessions. I also like to do outdoorsy stuffs. Prefer a furnished bedroom and all females unit.
Melbournian here moving to Canberra to work in professional services around early March. In my spare time, I’m equally as happy to chill over a glass of wine/cup of coffee or go on random adventures with my friends. I've lived in a few share houses now so I 'get' housemate etiquette and know how to keep a place tidy. Looking for easy going housemates that doesn't mind the occasional communal dinner/drinks but also respect privacy.
I am an easy-going person who is currently staying in Adelaide and looking for a place to stay in Canberra for my industry placement. I love to socialize with friends and meeting new people all around the world. I love to adventure and love being tidy.
I'm from Perth moving to Canberra for a grad program! I love to cook and am a very clean person. I like my privacy and hoping for a roommate who is the same but loves a drink or three on the weekend. I'll be working full time and would like to find a cool netball team! I like listening to music, bike riding, and Netflix binges.
I am currently working full-time as a public servant after moving to Canberra a year ago. I love to cook and make a great cup of coffee. I also tend to keep busy during the week, but enjoy winding down occasionally with a drink and a chat. I'm easy-going and keen to meet new people, but I'm also happy to kick it with my Netflix subscription. I also got an IKEA voucher for Christmas so could always pick up a POÄNG if required (or other useful household items).
Easy going, active public servant looking for short-term accommodation to June/July before heading overseas on posting. House trained and will provide wine and cheese.
Love fitness, sports, the outdoors, having a laugh and enjoy socializing. Having lived in share houses previously I am very understanding of space, also like sharing a meal or drink here or there. Into a variety of shows and movies, and enjoy cooking.
I'm an easy going student commencing at ANU in February and I'm looking for a place to rent close by or at least convenient to get to by bus/foot/bike! I lived in a boarding house prior to this and am aware of the general etiquette involved in a shared environment! I'm a sociable person however and respectful of others and sensitive to their space! Thankyou
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Hello, I am a 24-year-old who is moving to Canberra to begin a graduate program with the APS. I'm looking for a centrally-located room and am keen to share with housemates who are friendly and would enjoy socialising, but are also fine with having their own space and time to themselves. I am easy to get along with and enjoy exercise, food, travelling, and ABC programs. I am not at all familiar with Canberra, so am looking forward to exploring when I arrive.
Hey My partner and I are moving down to Canberra as he has been transferred down there for work. At present it is a temporary move however it is for the foreseeable future just now. He works full time in demolition and I will be looking for work ASAP having just given up my job in Sydney as a tour guide. As we are new to Canberra we are not too familiar with the suburbs however we think South Canberra would be more suitable for us. We liked the area of Kingston Foreshore with some restaurants and bars to go to so something of this nature is what we are looking for. We are also fairly flexible with move in dates as have some temporary accommodation just now. We are both really easy going people to live with and have lived in numerous share-houses big and small so understand what it means to live with other people. We are ideally looking for a one bedroom apartment or share-house with max 2-3 other people. We are both from Scotland and have lived all around Australia for the last 3.5 years so used to travelling and meeting new people. We are of course fairly sociable although I'm sure like most we also do enjoy time to ourselves too. We tend to go out for dinners and explore places when we can and would enjoy living with other like-minded people.
Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
Hi all! I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne in February to take up a graduate role in Barton. I love going out for food/drinks, exploring the city, going to the gym, or having chilled nights in at home. I'm very organised and clean, love a bit of cooking at home sometimes and just relaxing on the couch. I'm super excited about moving to Canberra, so would love to live with someone who knows the area well and can show me some cool places!! I am looking for a place to share with 1-2 other people that is new and close to either the City or to Barton. I would prefer to have an ensuite bathroom or my own bathroom. I have no pets, and I don't smoke. Please let me know if I would suit your place!! Caitlin :)
I'm Kirsty, I'm 28 years old and I'm making the move from Melbourne to Canberra to start a new job. I work full-time as a lawyer. I enjoy eating out and visiting new bars and cafes or having a glass of wine at home. I also enjoy dancing, going to the gym and travel. I finish work at around 6:30pm. I'm very low maintenance and would be a quiet and respectful housemate.
Hi, my name is Lachlan and I'm a local Canberran looking for a new share house as I begin working full time as a young professional. I'm ideally after an apartment and considerate/tidy housemates to share it with. I've lived the share house life for the past four years in Canberra and enjoy hockey and relaxed drinks in my spare time.
I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne and looking to share accommodation with a like minded individual starting 25/02. Ideal scenario would be sharing a home with a vegan/ vegetarian female. I am going to be working full-time. In my spare time, you'll find me cooking, painting or watching shows online. I am a non-smoker, very organised, very clean, easy going and respectful of privacy.
I am a new APS grad relocated from Sydney. I'm always keen to meet new people and start new adventures. I enjoy exploring, travelling, road trips, new experiences, social drinking and chill things like Netflix or a friendly board game. I'm clean and tidy and respect the common areas of the property as if it were mine. I hope to find some flatmates that I can be friends with. However if not, I understand how to respect privacy.
Hi! We're Alice, Campbell and Eric (the photo is just Alice, she couldn't figure out how to remove it). We are recent graduates from the ANU and the University of Melbourne, and we are all currently working full time, and as such, are looking to find a place close to work. Collectively, we enjoy music, good coffee and good TV.
Hi All, I'm Pat and I am recent Civil Engineering graduate. I completed my studies in Wollongong but I have found myself a full time grad position in Canberra. I am looking to move into a room in a share house (preferably an already established one). The office I will be working out of is located just to the south of Fyshwick. If I could find a place that is close to that, it would be ideal. During my time at uni I lived in shared accommodation both on campus (for my first three years) and in private rentals (for the past year and a half). I am 22 years old and like to think of myself as a pretty laid back guy who clean, tidy and respectful. When I am not working I enjoy going to the gym, playing sport and hanging out with mates. I start work on the 28th of February so I would ultimately be trying to find a place by the 10th of March at the latest. Anyway if you have a room and think I will be a good fit for this room don't hesitate to contact me. Cheers, Pat.
