My girlfriend and I are looking for someone to team up with and rent a lovely 2 bedroom place in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. (15~20 mins from the city). We're both working professionals, super chill, clean, friendly, enjoy cooking and love exploring what Melbourne has to offer when possible. We're looking for a someone with a similar relaxed mindset that we can get along with :)
I am Spanish 30 years old chic. I have a PhD in History and work as a Research assistant at Melbourne University. I am easy going and love cooking and singing in the shower (no worries, I wont sing Taylor Swift at 8am in the morning). I am tidy, non smoker and love to catch up with a glass of vino tinto in my hands
Hey there, Im Brazilian born living in Australia my whole life, I moved to Melbourne 3 years ago to finish off my Masters at RMIT. Now finished I’m searching for new jobs in the marketing sector and enjoying a little bit of travel. I managed a restaurant in the CBD on flinders lane called Lucy Liu ( delicious food). Im obsessed with food and drink always looking for the new place to check out but enjoy cooking at home to save money. I contribute to the house in anyway I can, decent clean freak and handy gardener. Never too shy for a chat always down to get into some tv shows and movies. I enjoy going for bike rides and skating around to OP shops when I get the time. I’m not allergic to any animals so always happy to have some extra company around the house. I’d make a great housemate because I’m relaxed and tidy, always wanting to try new things.
Looking for a room closer to the city for work. Generally keep to myself, but always up for a chat. Trying to save money to move overseas, so I am working quite a bit at the moment. Super tidy with dishes and whatnot, and pretty laid back and easy to live with. If you have something available, feel free to message me!
We are two sisters (24 and 30), looking for a amazing flatmates. One of us is a passionate biologist and microbiologist who loves dance salsa music. The other one is a easy going environmental engineer studying protect management. Non smokers, tidy and friendly. We are very clean, respectful and considerate.
Yet another twenty-something looking for sweet digs north of the city! Currently looking for an unfurnished room in/around the regular Northside areas. Long-term lease is ideal, as I'm looking for something pretty stable. Close to public transport is a must as I'm a slave to our PTV overlords and need them to get to my jobs in the city. Preferably up to $200-230/wk, but can do higher if price includes bills. I work full-time-equivalent in ticketing and other arts/festival admin-y jobs, which means: a) I'm out of the house quite a bit, especially during festival time, b) I have a steady-enough income that means rent/bills get paid on time, and pantry is always in full supply of Blend 43, and c) I can offer you free tickets to things as an apology in the rare event I leave a gross pan in the sink for an unacceptable amount of time. I'm a film grad, so I come packaged with a solid DVD collection, (which in turn comes packaged in those tall, thin, generic-AF Ikea bookshelves so it doesn't take up too much room.) Unsurprisingly, I spend a lot of my spare time watching movies. This I can do more than happily from a spine-bending position in bed, or from the couch with mates and a Sailor Jerry. Not a great cook, but can contribute in other ways like taking out bins and spiders, and not being overly-around when you need some space. I'm also clean, reasonably tidy, polite to your visiting mum, and all those good things. Will be in Adelaide for work Feb 10 - March 20, so looking to move in either ASAP or in late March when I'm back in town. Of course, I'm more than happy to sign a lease, pay rent etc. for the time I'm away if I'm able to move in before I ship out to SA.
Hi! I'm Sakina, and I'm a postgraduate student studying a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne. I'm from Sri Lanka and I moved here in July 2017 so I'd consider myself a newbie! (hehe). In terms of being a flatmate, I'd love to live in a clean environment and will make an extra effort to be clean and tidy up wherever I live. I also think it's important to have a healthy and engaging relationship with my flatmate, so I'd ideally look for someone who is outgoing and fun, but also gives me my space and has their own! In my spare time (lol, what is that when you're a Masters student?), I love watching tv shows, movies, listening to music and reading/writing. I love coffee, and am always open to finding coffee spots in and around the area! I am also an explorer by habit and love to go around the city to visit cool spots. I work part time with children and do creative work here & there. Let me know if you're interested! :)

A few things about me: * 32 * Social but likes my own space so am very respectful of others' * Vegan, vegetarian and green living friendly * Employed full time * Dog lover * Own bathroom preferred * Can pay up to $200/week * Can/will cook and bake * References available
Hi! I'm Jaitika. Im from India. I'll be arriving in Melbourne by the second week of February, to pursue my Masters at University of Melbourne. I'm 22, a non-smoker (don't mind if you smoke), LGBTQ+ friendly, and a bit of a clean freak. I LOVE coffee, binging on netflix and nerding out every now and then. Don't have pets, but don't mind them either. I'm open-minded, reliable, and friendly, up for a chat or a glass of wine, also cool with doing my own thing. I am respectful of others privacy. I plan on working part time, but I'll be on time with all my payments as I do have financial support from back home. Ideally, I'm looking for a friendly, fun, outgoing person but who respects my need for space and privacy and also their own. If you think we might get along well, drop in a message, let me know about you a little. Looking forward to hear from you! :)
Hello, I am Sophia. I am starting a Juris Doctor at Melbourne Uni this year. I am interested in social justice/ human rights work so do a bit of volunteering and will end up there career wise, but currently work at an aromatherapy store. I am transferring to the Melbourne shop so will have ongoing enjoyment. I like growing things, cooking, riding my bike, podcasts, fretting over current affairs, herbs, and reading like most other humans. I am a vegetarian but don't mind sharing a kitchen with meat eaters. I am pretty quiet but find a lot of joy in a good conversation. I also enjoy a boogie when the time is right. I think it is important to have a community in your home and put effort into the space, whether that is through cleaning, sharing time or sprinkling it with essential oils. Let me know if you feel I will be a match for your home and we can organise to meet!
Hi there! I'm a 21 year old student from Sydney relocating to Melbourne to study Communication Design. Would prefer to live with other friendly students. Looking for a place within around 3 - 12km of the CBD. My strengths include being reliable and considerate. Will definitely clean up after myself and willing to share the responsibility of housework. I am quiet, a non-smoker and definitely not a party animal - looking to share a house with people who also have these qualities. However, would love to find housemates I can become friends with and chill together sometimes! Hopefully be able to share the occasional meal, go out for drinks, or even just stay in for a movie night. Most of my spare time will probably be spent trying new recipes, reading, watching tv shows/movies, going to the gym, and exploring Melbourne. :)
Personally I am pretty easy going, am Australian but have lived in the Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, France and Sweden, like music, travel, reading, vegetarian food (I don't care what you eat, though. I mean if it's really weird I might judge, but I promise I'll do it silently), podcasts, trying to keep up my French, running and entertain myself by following the trainwreck that is American politics right now. Professionally I'm an electrical engineer (but one of the ones who talks to people, I swear!) going to be working at Telstra next year - if you've had a terrible experience with them I am so sorry, please don't hold it against me! I've previously house-shared with one other person and 9 other people before so have a decent range of experience, am now looking for either a room in a household where vacuuming happens at least sometimes and people clean their dishes before leaving the kitchen, or to team up with someone and rent a place nearish the CBD.
Well first off, I was born in Brisbane, lived in England for 11 years, have been living in NZ for 8 years and I’m ready to return to my home country 😄 I’m fun, outgoing, sociable, tidy and very experienced in living with lots of people. I am 1 of 5 children so I love having a busy, happening house, but also appreciate my own space. I’ve done a decent amount of travelling/backpacking so I love meeting new people and getting along with everyone. Ill be studying musical theatre at The Victorian College of Arts so I’ll be very busy but always up for a chill night or a couple of drinks. Can’t wait to move to Melbourne!
I'm Lydia, 30, and work at Toyota, though my experience before this is in humanitarian aid sector. I'm pretty easy going, like to share a meal with housemates occasionally, a glass of wine or beer and a good chat are always good, but I understand that home is a sanctuary and space/alone time is important. I love reading, enjoy a good meal, pubs, playing ultimatum games and a good laugh. I think it's important to make the effort to make a share house a home, not just a house. I like to keep communal spaces clean, and cooking for housies. I'm very easy going and flexible. I think it's important to respect others' space and time.
Hello! I am moving to Australia for one year on a working holiday and would like to find some relaxed & friendly people to live with. A bit about myself - I am originally from California and have spent time living in Spain, England and New York. I am both quiet and outgoing, depending on the situation and I like to hike, doodle, drink tea, watch movies, do creative projects and explore cities. I studied fashion design in San Francisco and worked primarily as a sewing teacher while living in New York. Back in California I've been working as a Council Aide for the City of San Jose and I like to work on projects involving civic innovation and design. I am currently searching for a full-time gig in Melbourne. Favorite author: Bill Bryson, Favorite film: Amelie
Originally from Ireland, I've been living in Perth for the last 18 months. I'm relocating to Melbourne at the end of January. I'll be working in Epping as a junior doctor so I'm looking for somewhere between town and epping on the South Morang line. I'm easy going. I've lived in multiple previous share houses and I know how to get on well. I'm looking forward to exploring Melbourne with new friends in my free time. I'm planning on bringing my car across, so ideally would be looking for a place with a parking space on/off street.
Hi there! So I am a 27 year old looking for a room to rent from around the end of Jan. I'm pretty flexible with move in dates and move out dates. I'm looking for a place to call home until at least until the end of the Uni year (November) or more depending on how things go! I've lived out of home since I was 18 so I'm very used to living in a share house. I'm clean and organised, I love the outdoors and animals and I am a vegan, but don't care if you're not! I love cooking, drinking coffee (I even come with my own coffee machine!) and wine. I currently study Environmental Science at RMIT but I'm not at all an unreliable student and I am defiantly not looking for student accommodation. I was fortunate enough to get an accommodation scholarship which covers my rent so paying bond/ rent and bills is never an issue. Before coming back to uni I spent a couple of year travelling through Asia and Europe and lived in the UK so safe to say I love traveling! I do study hard and I try to stay healthy but I do also enjoy a drink with friends. I would love to move into an established house with sustainably conscious housemates that are independent but that are open to making a new friend and like to have the occasional debrief over a red!
Hello! I work as a Community Manager for a public health research app, and recently relocated to Melbourne after four years in Dublin, Ireland (though originally from Boston, in the US). (No, I do not sound like the Departed) (Yes, I do use the word "wicked") I've lived in share-houses since 2010 so very accustomed to sharing chores and space, and keeping tidy. I like to be able to come home to friendly housemates and share the occasional movie night, while also maintaining our own lives. For fun I try to get out to swing dancing events several times a week, and like exploring city goings-on at the weekend. I also try to get to gigs at least a few times a month.
I'm an American, from Michigan that has been living in Wellington for the last 6 months and before moving here I Thru-hiked Te Araroa, which is 3000km from the bottom of NZ to the top. So I'm always keen on a weekend in the bush. Although I have worked in Hospo/Bars for the last 5 years, I'm doing an alcohol free year and will be looking for a non-hospo job so I'll have normal hours. I'm pretty easy going, game a decent amount, but always keen for convo over tea or coffee! I'm Christian, but the loving, Non-judgmental, LGBT friendly type. :D
I'm looking to move from sunny North Queensland down to the big smoke! I am a really active person always looking at what to do next. I'll be starting a Bachelor of Information Technology degree this year at RMIT.
Hi, I am Melissa, Melbourne born, work for an Oil company as an Office Manager in the inner suburbs. I dabble in photography when I have time. I love cooking, the outdoors, travelling, pilates, gym, hiking, the beach, time out with friends and live music. I generally work between 9.00am & 5.30pm but tend to head to the gym/pilates before work and out for a walk around the Tan, Botanical Gardens or down the beach, if not catching up with friends for dinner or a live band! I am not home a whole lot so out the door early and back late evening during the week! I am looking for a new place with housemates that have a good energy and drama free! A place I feel comfortable in and can call home. I am out a fair bit doing my own thing, but sometimes like time at home to chill watching a movie, cooking, baking and spending time on my photography. I am house-trained, pay bills on time and easy to get along with! I cook my own meals as I do have food allergies and know to be a health freak! I do love to experiment with baking sometimes so I may need you as my guinea pigs to sample the treats! A sense of humour and respecting each other is a must in the household! Be nice to have housemates that I can chill with at home, have drink and few laughs every now and then. Ideally looking to have a place locked in to move into as soon as possible for a move in date at the earliest of 20 January, 2018. Would prefer housemates in their late 20's to early 40's. I am very young at heart but not one for bring the party home! My ideal areas are close into the city as I tend to be in the city and surrounds alot socially and for work. Would like a large room that fits a queen bed and other small furnishing comfortably. Also have some items that I may need to store some kitchen items food processor and couple other small electrical goods etc as I am keen cook/baker so will need some pantry space for home made creations! I am relocating as I am in the city and surrounds regularly, move to work closer and my friend I currently live with is moving in with her partner, so it makes sense to relocate closer into the inner city suburbs! Feel free to message me if you have a share place available or you feel I am the ideal housemate that will suit your household! :)
I've been lucky to travel to a few places and you learn that you don't need much to be truly happy. I enjoy the outdoors, keep a healthy routine every week. But I enjoy an afternoon bevvo or a glass of wine. Enjoy my photography and have a few stories to share. Now, in Melbourne, moved for a new job as an engineer, so need a place that is closer to work.
I can't cook but I make a great cup of tea. I'm currently working full time in hospo in the city so I'm looking for somewhere pretty chilled out. I'm clean and respectful, won't make too much noise at night but always down for a beverage or two
Hey I recently moved to Melbourne from Vancouver, Canada on January 7th and I'm currently subletting in Northcote until January 27th. Looking to stay in Melbourne for six months on my working holiday visa and can be counted on for rent and keeping a place clean. I've shared many apartments. Always up for cooking, the outdoors, and music from Tame Impala, Bonobo, to Kendrick Lamar. I also used to be a tennis coach so I'm happy for a hit or free lessons :)
