Hey everyone, I’m looking for a room near Hawthorn- flexible with length of stay/suburbs/move date). :) I don't really mind who you are or what things you like doing, the only traits i'm really looking for are people who are laidback, open-minded and considerate of personal boundaries like privacy and comfort zones- if we get along well, nothing else is a concern for me. ...and punctuality with rent/housekeeping, but I suppose that's a given. 😌 I'd like to establish a cosy home atmosphere where everyone can feel genuinely "at home" and not just staying somewhere, and where there's no constant pressure to socialize but the opportunity is always there- it'd be great to live with people who can give you space but also have a good chat with. I love doing things that involve film, music, games and outings such as live events- and especially love it when there's other people to do it with, so flatmates who'd like to do those things are a bonus. If those things aren't really your cup of tea, i'm also open to new things and don't really drag people into my personal hobbies anyway. I don't care if you're alternative, sporty, artsy, introvert or extrovert, it's all totally fine- anyone that's kind and open-minded is good in my books. :) If you think we might get along, send me a message so we can chat- and possibly make plans if we do get along well. :) (Oh, if you're worried about my age and capacity for living independently- i've already adjusted to adult life so i'm fine in that regard, not a big spender. I also have an excellent rental history that I can provide references for upon request.)
Hi! I'm Marie and I'm from the UK currently travelling the East Coast on a working holiday visa. I have a job in Melbourne (Malvern East specifically) for 6 months so will be settling here for a little while. I'm friendly, outgoing, respectful and generally clean (I tidy up after myself but am not OCD!) Able to provide a reference from my old landlords/housemates in the UK if needed. About me... well I love to travel obviously! More of the adventurer type than a party animal, though I enjoy a few drinks and socialising a few nights a week. Other interests include rock and alternative music, gigs, roller skating/roller derby and pole dancing. I've also dabbled in fire spinning / performing, and am a bit of a geek (comics, films, console gaming etc). Looking for a friendly, sociable and clean house with people of a similar age and interests, and could show me a bit about Melbourne!
Hello I am currently on the search for a new home for the next few months. I am working full time in Real Estate & have two days off work a week. I am usually out & about during the days and spend evenings at home relaxing. Bed provided is ideal, however if not I can source one. I am open to meeting all walks of life of any age & gender and generally find that I get along with just about anyone! I am honest, respectful of personal space & like to keep things tidy. I enjoy the company of others but I also need some alone time to recharge every now & then. I don't mind if you smoke & pets are an added bonus if you have them! Looking for a housemate, not a boyfriend. Length of stay & price can be discussed further. Shoot me a message. I look forward to meeting you!

Hiya Im Jess, I am a 21 year old qualified hairdresser - And Cameron is a 22 year old Photographer - we’re both very creative people, who both have interests in various pop culture, books, board/video games, movies and music. - We are looking for people with similar interests, who don’t mind pitching in to keep the house clean, as everyone should be responsible. - We aren’t party people, and don’t wanna live in a party house, but are likely to have people over for board/video games or drinks on weekends. - I spend most of my free time, binge watching Netflix or reading (or going out to play Dungeons & Dragons) - and Cameron spends a lot of time looking into various (confusing, but cool) photography things. - 100% LGBTIQ Friendly. If you have a pet, that’s fine – but no long haired cats (Im sadly, incredibly allergic to cat fur) - this would also depend on having landlords permission We want to START a NEW home (preferably with no more than 2 other people of a similar age) where no one feels lesser than another, where everyone is comfortable to bring family/friends over for dinner etc. - But we are also interested in moving into an existing sharehouse. If interested, please message me and I will happily give my mobile number for further conversations. (PS-we have a TONNE of kitchen stuff, a second tv and couch - ideally we'd like to bring them all with us on top of our bedroom furniture. I can also supply a dining table and fridge if needed.)
I am a female in my thirties I am currently in the process of moving myself back up to Melbourne from Philip Island. I had recently taken a little time out of work leaving my job down the Island to study full time (online) giving me the freedom to be able to relocate myself back up in Melbourne which is where I truly want to be (I’m a Melbourne girl born and bred.) I have just started back working full time with a new job as a Customer Service Advisor for City Holdings in Mulgrave so I am now looking to find a place to live somewhere around that area. My previous work history has been in finance administration, banking and customer service so I am looking forward to something a little bit different heading in a new direction with lots of opportunity to learn new things. I am also still completing my online study for my Dip.in Business Administration, just reducing the work load now I’m back working full time. I am pretty laid back easy going person, extremely respectful of other people. I like meeting new people and learning about them and their experiences in life. I like to spend my spare time watching movies and catching up with family/friends and heading out for the occasional night on the town hitting the hit the dance floor with my besties. I am a Melbourne girl through and through I have been lucky enough to meet some amazing friends here who have now become my family. I count myself very lucky to be able to live in the greatest city in Australia maybe even the world. :)

I am looking for a share house with one other person only. I keep to myself and I am very clean. I am looking for a environment where I can relax and feel at home. I am intelligent and very friendly but also very shy. I don't have many visitors, just my adult children once a month or so. I am happy to more than my share of housework. I spend time in my own room reading books or playing games. I love watching ABC and SBS and am interested in science and science fiction. I hope to find an older gentleman that I can feel comfortable with. I am 48 years old, mature, high IQ, high EQ, interested in all music, philosophy, literature and star trek. I am also very fun with a great sense of humour.
Hello potential housemate(s), My boyfriend, Farkhan, and I need a room to stay for short term while we secure a house with our friends. We need to move in on Sunday, 29 October for at least a week, then we can continue the rental terms if we still haven't secured a house. It could take a week to up to a month for us to secure a house and able to move in, so I'd say a week first just to be safe. Looking for: - something in south east /east Melbourne (south east furtherest until Berwick, east is until Box Hill, Mitcham, anywhere between city and these places) - couple friendly - less than 210 per week (willing to pay more if you can accept our fur kid mentioned below) - Furnishing can be flexible as we have our own - happy to share toilet, but own bathroom will be a plus (willing to pay more for our own bathroom)! - Hopefully something with less bond required as well. We'll be respectful of the property and not damage anything. - We have an indoor cat, which we can leave with our friends if not suitable for the house or if you guys don't mind a bonus cute housemate, that'll be awesome!! Foz (the cat) will not make any mess or destroy anything. About us: Nancy is an international student from Taiwan doing last semester in Monash Uni, work part time. Farkhan is an international student from Singapore doing mechanic course in Kangan on Monday and Tuesday, and working as a mechanic in Springvale on Wednesday to Saturday. We are friendly and respectful. Not party people, mostly watch shows when we're at home so internet connection is essential. Foz is a 1.5 years old Tabby who only stays indoor. All he does all day is sleep, walk around and eat. Message us anytime:) Regards, Nancy and Farkhan
I am currently studying Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University, Burwood. I work part-time at Chadstone Shopping Centre, so I am always quite busy. I'm a very sociable person and will happily have a conversation with anyone about anything. In regards to my living behaviours, I am extremely clean and do not like leaving any mess. I am a capable cook, and can live independently or happily share cooking/cleaning duties amongst roommates
I'm a full time student, I work part time in a pastry kitchen on my days off of school. I am generally a quiet person. I respect people's privacy and personal space. I consider myself a considerate person as I always clean up after myself in the kitchen and the bathroom. Pretty much as house-trained as anyone can be! :)
An international student from Monash~and doing my part-time at Chaddy now. Pretty easy going and tidy person like lots of stuff.... movie, traveling, sports :)) wanna find a lovely place that near CS that makes my life much easier ~~ if could find someone sharing movie or travel together, that would beyond excited!!
Work in Construction, Fitting out shops and Apartments, living down the coast in geelong just looking to make finally make the big move to the city and see how it goes, not really into the hipster life style but in the same sense very random and spontaneous. Love to Golf and hit up the slopes when possible, keen traveler aswell hence not wanting long length stays, but with the right awesome housemates who knows. My last share house was in kensington that lease finished up as house was being sold, so looking for a new place in a different area to experience all Melbs has to offer
Hannah and myself work together in retail and are currently searching for a whole property to rent out for a long period of time. We are both clean and organised ladies who also have a very loving dog! I, Mitch, study full time with two casual jobs and Hannah works as a Manager full time. We have both lived out of home for 2+ years and have an excellent record with landlords.
I am a fun loving, down to earth. gentleman who is looking for a place to stay with positive people. I get along really well with almost everyone I encounter and enjoy a good conversation. However, most of the time I'm at home (which isn't that often) I am either sleeping or watching film/tv in my own room. I make a great housemate as I am very considerate, hygienic, clean (but not ocd), easy going and lighthearted. my best attribute for you would be that I am a deep sleeper, so you do not need to worry about tip toeing around while i am asleep. Regards, Josh
Hey I'm Alex, I'm 28 and work in social media/marketing for a uni. On to more fun things, as much as we all like to think we're unique, when writing these I realise I'm very much not that unique. I like hanging out with friends, going out, but also like a good Netflix/Stan binge sesh too. Really into music and do some freelance music journalism too so I sometimes have spare +1's to some great gigs (think The Wombats, Jimmy Eat World, Grouplove, Foo Fighters, British India, San Cisco, Alison Wonderland, Temper Trap, Allday etc) around Melbourne. Love checking out live stand up comedy too and going to the movies. I used to work at a cinema for 8 years so despite how expensive it is I just can't stop going to see movies at the cinema. Really into sports, mainly AFL, soccer, basketball and then cricket in summer but don't mind tennis, baseball, ice hockey when it is on. That being said I unashamedly like a lot of (stereotypically) girly stuff like reality TV, in depth chats, rom-coms and the like. Don't see liking non 'manly' kinds of things as an issue at all to be honest. I clean up after myself, I am a great "vacuumer" (drilled in from the cinema days) and can confidently cook about 7 meals and have a crack at a few others, I mean what's wrong with cooking stir fry every time? I like to socialise with housemates and become friends but at the same time I'm pretty happy with my own company too. I also have my own friends so I'll try not to steal yours but I make no promises if they're cool, and if they give me free Calippos then I can make no promises at all. I have a car so if you don't, happy to go on grocery runs or to the bottle-o. I have very few useful things like a bed and so forth so happy to move into a furnished or unfurnished room. However what I can provide is a SodaStream (they're amazing), PS4 privileges, Harman Kardon soundsticks speakers for the lounge if needed (look them up they are super cool). I'd like to think I'm fun to live with, love to have a laugh. Working 8:30-4:30 I don't come home at random hours and make heaps of noise. And if I have a big night out I'll always try and be quiet and respectful when I come in. I'm currently crashing with my sister and husband in Balaclava and they have a baby due in Feb so I have to get out by then, but preferably by the end of November. Pretty much looking for anywhere in the east/south-east from the CBD to about Kew/Camberwell, don't want to live in Burwood where I work because as you'll know if you've been there, it's not the best. Preferences would be the following suburbs: St Kilda East/Balaclava//Windsor/Ripponlea/St Kilda/Prahran/Richmond/Caulfield/Elwood/Elsternwick/South Yarra/Armadale/Malvern.
Hi there. You're probably thinking "who is this person? What kind of housemate would they be? How are their dishwashing skills?" You could probably answer each question with "generally awesome", but I suppose I should give you some actual tangible details about me. I'm a theatre staffer, philosophy student, actor, occasional musician, and attempted swing dancer. I'm working part time in Dandenong and studying part time online. I spend a bit of time in the city so something between work and my usual social things would be ideal. I'm not a party animal, I more enjoy quiet social gatherings with tea and good chats. I'm vegan, but happy to houseshare with people of any diet. I'm a non-car-owner so being within walking distance of a train station is a must. I need something long term(ish), and ideally, would like to move in around early November (but I'm flexible and can move earlier if need be). Aaaaand all the obligatory why-I'm-a-good-housemate biz: I'm super tidy, I'm self-sufficient, I pay bills on time, I'm sociable but also like to keep to myself, I'm respectful of giving housemates their space, I don't make a lot of noise (except when I'm playing ukulele), and I'm a generally nice person. Or so they tell me.
Hello there Melbourne peeps my name is Lucie. I'm looking for a place to live. I'm a friendly, tidy woman. I'm not a party animal but good for a chat with a glass of red and a cheese platter. I like foreign films, bikeriding and I'm a foodie. I'm very reliable when it comes to money, I'm employed. I've lived in 10 sharehouses and respect personal space. Good heating is very important to me, coming from Queensland :) Also a place with wifi and is fully furnished but I do have my own bedroom furniture. Looking forward to meeting you cheers Lucie
I'm friendly, considerate of peoples space and things, clean and tidy, relaxed, happy to share the chores and willing to discuss anything. As I have a dog, I take care of her exceptionally so there is no need to worry. I know her, her things and anything to do with her is my responsibility and I wouldn't have it any other way. Also due to having a dog, I am needing a place with a backyard or decent sized courtyard with grass. I look forward to finding someone to share with who has similar qualities. Thanks - enjoy :)
