I'm 42 but most people think I'm in my late 20's. Often I believe that, too. My mom probably thinks I still haven't grown up. I've been living in my current place - a hostel - for months. Go figure. I just got a job in Chippendale as a Software Engineer and am looking to move out of the hostel asap. Like the hostel life as such, but like my privacy a bit better. So there you go, awesome share houses, sign me up. I am German but have PR here (looking to apply for citizenship soon), and I have heaps of experience in living in share houses. From a crazy nurse who was into Gaelic and medieval stuff to a dude who would constantly accuse his flatmates of (seriously) trying to kill him, I have seen a fair bit. But yeah, most share houses are fun. I'm really sociable and never really keep my door closed but I do know when to give people space and how to respect their privacy. No seriously, I do sometimes close my door, too. Basically, I'm looking for a new home and new friends to live with (my old friends are cool but, you know, never hurts to find new ones just in case...). There are a lot of people who just want to share the cost but have no interest in the people they live with, but I want a place that will be a home with people who show interest in doing stuff together. And I'm looking for a place where the rent is shared fairly and where people enjoy staying with others and being friends with their flatmates. I play a bit of guitar and work on my app ideas in my free time and am otherwise quite busy at my job at the moment (just started 8 weeks ago). Apart from that I love the beach and hanging out with friends, cooking the odd meal with my future flatmates, and all that stuff. I also (used to) scuba dive and would love to learn surfing and play soccer and foosball again. Not sure I would have moved to Sydney had anyone told me before that no bloody bar has a proper foosball table. But now I'm here and looking to be a valuable asset to your share home. If that all sounds cool, maybe let me know if you want to meet me in person Cheers, Andreas
Hey everyone! I'm a student making the big move from Canada to study at the University of Sydney this January (flexible date), and am looking for a new place to call home! I will be in the USYD dental school program, so any other dentistry / med students out there especially - let's chat ! But of course, I am open to meeting others as well. I am excited about this new experience and am hoping to make new friends to go explore the area with! A bit about myself: I have had the experience of living in a shared accommodation (private room/ensuite; shared general areas; males & females) during undergrad and I understand the responsibilities and dynamics that come with it! I find living with cool people that I vibe with, a lot more fun and enjoyable than living on my own. I've also been working F/T so I can relate to the young professional lifestyle as well! I'm a flexible, easygoing, social, trustworthy, and caring person. I love going out and having a good time with my friends, and value the chill days in too. I appreciate independent time and also respect others'. I enjoy a bit of banter, am always down for an adventure and a good time and like to joke around and laugh a lot. With that said, I also know when I need to buckle down and hustle - aka the study grind! As your housemate, I will: pay my bills on time, clean up after myself, respect your privacy, respect our shared space, share, be generous in the kitchen (I'll be happy to share what I cook or even cook together), remember to communicate , be understanding and considerate, and contribute to a positive environment. Other random things about me, I also like to: go to the gym, go to the beach, read a good book, toss a football around, watch football & hockey, go to sporting events, go out dancing, go to concerts, go on hikes, go for brunch, check out new cafes/bars, binge on tv, try new things, travel!! Oh and I love (and is almost always) listening to music! && You can trust me to 99.9% of the time - have a fresh pot of coffee brewing each morning. I'd like to meet flatmates that are like-minded; honest, socially active, chill, fun-loving and values a well-rounded work-life balance and responsible work ethic in school. I'm hoping for something at least a year long with the potential of more, since I will be in Syd for the next couple years. To sum it up, if you're a nice person and I sound like someone you'd be down to live with, then shoot me a message! I'm super excited to hear from y'all :)
Hi, I'm a software engineer originally from Brisbane. I like playing basketball and running in my spare time, maybe playing a little bit of guitar. Pretty relaxed to live with, looking for a place with other full time workers.

Hello! I’m looking to move out of my current place end of Dec/early Jan (I know it’s pretty early to start looking but 🤷🏽♀️) Preferably with just one other house mate, 2 max. I’ve done my rounds of share houses and living with partners and family etc and I really want a place to call “my home” I’m a pretty chilled out person, like to be out and about in my spare time, pretty active too and love beach hangs. Always up for drinks and a dance on the weekend. During the week you’d probably find me listening to music, cooking up my meals or watching a Netflix series. I’m a fairly clean person, always have the main communal areas clean and tidy and would hope the same from my potential housemate. Feel free to message if you have any questions 😊
Hi, I'm a ballet and contemporary dancer currently living in Moscow, Russia, but will be moving at the end of December to Sydney for a new job. Grew up in Alice Springs, Australia. I previously studied and worked in Germany and Russia for 6 years. I like going out for social events or dinners/drinks with friends, but I also like relaxing at home after a long day of work. Looking for a place with easy travel to Ultimo/Central station and now and then Circular Quay/Wynyard due to work. I hope to hear from you soon! :)
Hello I am a tidy and easygoing guy looking for a room, preferably close to USYD. I am 23, from Greece and even though I may used to be a bit of party person, as it is my final semester and I want to improve my WAM I plan to limit it to some quiet drinks with the roommates every now and then. I spend the last year on exchange in the Netherlands sharing an apartment with four other people and we created a home environment I that I would like to have it again.
I’m working full time in a restaurant in Surry Hills. During the day I enjoy going to the beach, going on walks or meeting friends for food/coffee - always up for a laugh! I enjoy cooking and making cocktails and finding out the hidden tresures this city has for me to discover 🙈 ☺️ I’m looking for a place to stay as my lease is up mid December and need a place to call my own and meet new friends! If you need to know anything else let me know!
Hi! Thanks for checking out my page. My name is Nicole and I'm a Science student at University of Sydney. And, I hope to look for a place to stay from Mid/End November 2018 till Mid/End January 2019. As a person, I'm really cheerful and easy-going, thus, I get along well with others. I'm also rather organized so I tend to enjoy my frequent "clean-up"s. As outgoing as I am, I also enjoy the privacy of my own room; I am only looking for private single rooms. If you're interested, please do drop me a message.
30 year old professional, working in insurance.... exciting stuff I know ;) Fairly laid back, like to keep an active lifestyle. During the week will usually be gym after work and chilling. Weekends I'll generally be seeing friends and family. Big sport fan (AFL my favourite). Also love to travel, try new restaurants, bars etc. Dont mind a couple of drinks on the weekend but definitely no party animal. Lived in plenty of sharehouses in the past so no issues there. Relocating to Sydney from Adelaide for work late November. Feel free to flick me a message if you think I'd be a good fit for your place. Nick
Young professional working in renewable energy, relocating back to Sydney and looking for a place to call home close to Redfern/Darlington/Chippendale/Alexandria. Friendly, open & easy-going - very used to living in sharehouses, hoping to find some like-minded people! Look forward to hearing from you, Caitlin
I'm an internarional student studying in university of Sydney. I am looking for a place near to Sydney uni or close to train station. I am a kind, quiet and easy-going person. I am willing to meet new friends and like clean and quiet place. I need a place to put or have a desk so I can study at home.
Hey! I have just moved from Brisbane and will be starting medical school at USyd in January! I am very friendly, love having a chat, making a meal or night out with my flatmates, but am very respectful of others space; I’m very clean and considerate of others. I love to travel, cook (there will always be baked treats in the kitchen), and enjoy the beach on the weekends!
I'm originally from South Australia and am moving to Sydney for a new job. I've had great experiences living in share houses before - in Adelaide, Canberra, Indonesia, Melbourne and London - so looking for more like-minded new friends to share with. I'm the sort of housemate that enjoys unwinding with a glass of wine and a chat at the end of the day, but happy also to do my own thing. If I'm home, you'll probably find me in the kitchen cooking, in the living room reading, or in my bedroom playing guitar or looking after plants. I am nature-seeking and a bit of a culture nut so I like to go out and explore on the weekends (and am happy to have company). If that all sounds good, I reckon we'll be right. P.S. I am currently travelling in the States so won't be able to look at places/meet people until mid December, and looking to start renting around the same time. Please keep this in mind when messaging me, as I know some of you will be looking to fill places sooner.
Hi! I'm a uni student doing my honors next year and working part time in retail. I've been living happily in a sharehouse for two years but looking to move to a more convenient area - closer to the city/central. I'm a tidy person and have no problem in helping to keep the house clean. I love going to galleries, wine and good food! Hoping to find a private room (that’s unfurnished and can fit a double bed!) with clean and social housemates :)
I am a future student at Taylors College before studying in University of Sydney. I do not smoke and do not own any pets. I will try to clean up after myself and respects personal space. I go to the gym regularly and would be happy to meet like-minded people.
Hello, I’m a Danish guy living in Sydney and currently looking for a new place to live from December 7. I’ve been working at an advertising agency in Surry Hills for the past one and a half years and currently holds a working permit visa, which allows me to stay here for another couple of years. I like surfing, the beach, the Art Gallery, food festivals, going out and so forth. Of course, I’m not expecting you to enjoy the same things as I do — I’m just looking for a place with great people. Also, as mentioned earlier I’m working full-time so I’m looking for a place where I can get a change to work/relax when needed. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Have a good one.
Hi! We are two Dutch girls looking for a home away from home. After travelling the eastcoast we are looking for a place to stay for a couple months in the beautifull Sydney!
