Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020 and the rental company doesn't allow us to stay another five months (only 12 months extentions are allowed...), so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. My days off I spend most of the time with my boyfriend in the Gold Coast or he comes over to me. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that to me? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleep over of my boyfriend from the Gold Coast was also not a problem at all. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. My party time is always outside home - e.g. The Valley-, because for me home should always be a place to relax. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in at the end of January, but am open to dates a little bit earlier. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? I'm more than happy to send you the references of my former house mates as well, if necessary. Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John

Friendly, quiet, very clean and tidy, also kind, young at heart, considerate, enjoy a glass of wine and a chat. I get on with all age groups but love environmentally conscious people and those who care about others and our planet. I have no preference for flatmate/s as long as they're genuinely kind and thoughtful people, or I'm happy to have a place of my own. I have a perfect rental history, honest, reliable always pay on time, if not, early.

I’m a 22 years old with a 3 month old staffy and I work part-time for woolies. I enjoy all the things someone my ages loves like drinking and going out on the occasion with friends but also doesn’t mind a cheeky adventure to the beach either or just hanging out with mates at home. I’ve quit smoking recently but I don’t mind if you are and I get along with pretty much everyone I meet. I like my space from time to time so I will disappear to my room to read or play the PS4. Really would love a place we’re my puppy can run around and enjoy herself because my current location is an apartment so I would love a person who also loves pets

Hi! I’m currently looking for a place or someone to move in with in north Brisbane. I will need a place with two rooms to rent as I have a 9 month old son who I have 85% of the time (every second weekend he is with his dad) so you will need to be comfortable and respectful living with a baby but he is very easy going and hardly every cries. We are tidy and I always try to clean as I go but I always ensure the house is spotless at the end of the day. Im on paid maternity leave and return to work full time mid-February and bub will be at day care 5 days a week as of 3rd Feb. I’m very independent and always try to be out of the house on the weekends I have bub but when he is with his dad I try to relax as much as possible but also up for a drink or few. Any questions feel free to ask! :)

$350/week•18-19 year old female and male
I am a warm, happy and friendly 18-year-old female, studying Nursing and Paramedicine at ACU. I am going into my second year and love my degree. I am very clean and enjoy my own downtime, however, I love a good chat as well. I love going to the beach, shopping, nights on the town, reading and playing board games. I have lived in the USA, Vietnam and Korea and travelled to India, Colombia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and I am excited to meet new people! My boyfriend Lachlan is a 19-year-old male studying advanced business at UQ. He is going into his second year of uni, but this is his first year of this degree. Lachlan is the quintessential business student- he is very dedicated to his study! But he also loves to have a fun night out with friends when he's on top of his study, and is funny and likes to game. He is from Queensland, and he is actually more fun than I'm making him sound! We are both moving to Brisbane after spending 2019 in Victoria with my family and are hoping to find a place early February. We have a tiny Maltese that we would like to bring as he is white and fluffy and super cute and I love him very much! However, it is not a necessity. We are hoping to find another uni couple to live with.

I'm Brad, currently own my unit in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast as well as renting a unit in the city (Spring Hill). Looking to rent on the north side of Brisbane. I am a community rookie (cricket player) as well as working for Queensland Cricket in pathways and schools/junior cricket clubs. I also work for the Seven Network in the newsroom whilst in my final year of university. Rent/pw is adjusted for the fact that I will not be in the property that much, just basically need a place to sleep as I either train/play/study/work from early most mornings to late. I am looking for a quiet place where I can go about my business in peace. I live a social life and love going out, but I am also quiet and work very hard around the place and in my endeavours. Looking forward to hearing from you. Brad

I'm a self employed musculoskeletal therapist. I tend to work long hours. I'm clean, neat & tidy, quiet and respectful. I'm into my health & fitness, so most mornings I'm up early to go to the gym or go for a run. I am social, but also like to have time to myself. I'm also very considerate of other people's privacy.

I'm a 31 year old kiwi export and my lease is coming to an end. I'm clean and tidy but not a neat freak, I'm pretty friendly and always up for a chat but respectful of personal space. I work full time, I'm into my yoga and running and I also do free lance makeup work on the side when I get the time so I like to keep busy. During the week I'm usually pretty tired when I get home so I like to just chill out with some Netflix and have an early night. On the weekends I like to catch up with friends and I'm not opposed the odd glass of wine - having said that, I'm definitely not a party animal. I'm easy going, love cooking and feeding people - courtesy of my South Eastern European background :D I just want a calm, happy environment with easy going housemates to come home to. Bonus if you have pets at the property - I love animals (don't have any of my own though).
