After 12 years working and traveling around the world as an events manager and performing arts producer I'm about to embark on a new journey to start a new career in Chinese Medicine. I will begin my studies at RMIT in Bundoora in February. I'm a little scared but I'm mostly excited to start the next chapter. I'm very active, I love the outdoors, I love to travel and explore. I enjoy yoga, I prefer to cycle than drive and I spend many of my weekends skydiving. My life may look a little different next year but I will keep as much adventure in it as I can. I prefer to live with only one or two others and I enjoy keeping a reasonably tidy home. I love my own space and often crave alone time, but I also enjoy sharing stories over dinner and a wine and occasionally chatting into the early hours. I desperately want a backyard and a veggie garden. I don't have a pet, but I do love animals.
Hey there potential new homemate! Just so you get a little bit of am idea about me... I work full time as a bartender in the CBD, while also returning to studying at RMIT for one finial unit in semester 2 next year. I some how I manage to make it all work, while maintaining a social life. I'm not one throwing house parties often, usually just a housewarming, then I can never be bothered ever again haha! I am naturally a night owl, due to my industry, and I love have a drink after work on the weekend, while my days off are usually pretty low key or just at home making sure everything is clean. I come with a super cute, small, friendly, well trained dog, so im looking for a place that is open to taking in a furry pup. I love all animals and my dog is pretty good with all types as well. When I am home I enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or cold beer in summer, while cooking and a good chat over dinner. I'm super passionate about food and good drinks, hence working in hospitality! I also love art, painting, seeing exhibitions, reading and trying out new activities like burlesque and pottery. I'm a big fan of indoor plants and greenery, so I will probably fill the house with that. I'm hoping to find a place that isn't just a place, but a space that feels like home, and would love to find someone that is sociable and friendly, not just strictly a housemate who keeps to themselves. Would really love to start a new house with some easy going, social, friendly and like-minded person!
I’m italian, I’m a chef and already been in melb last month for holiday. I fell in love with the city and now I’m coming back to work. I'm 26 and I'm a very clean person, love listening to music, reading books and explore the city. I'm a smoker but want to quit, and love keeping myself busy with gym, work, hanging out.
I am self employed, working most days. I am also an actor and film maker. I am a considerate and honest person, thoughtful and include myself in all house duties to ensure harmony and happiness. I like to relax, enjoy the occasional glass of wine or a cold beer.
Looking to move into a pre-existing share house or start a new one with some cool people. Hey guys, my name is Louise, I'm a 24 year old film student, photographer and musician, I also work part time as a barista. I've been living in share houses for many years now, so I'm completely housetrained, i.e. I know how to keep a place clean and be respectful of housemates and I'm looking to live with people who feel the same. I'm hoping to find somewhere in the northern suburbs (brunswick, northcote, fitzroy, thornbury etc). I'm into music, live gigs, art, food and going out with friends. If you'd like the sound of this post feel free to contact me on here and we can have a chat :).
Clean and tidy. Loves a clean kitchen(If you can't do your own dishes or clean up after yourself, maybe you should be back with your folks haha) Work 40 hours a week in Clifton Hill. Love animals, (Don't have one with me so don't worry) but due to work can probably get you free food for your pet. Enjoys Netflix, and a cold beer after a hard day. Travel to Japan once or twice a year, speaks fluent Japanese. Quite handy, so basic maintenance issue I can probably fix. Have a Car, so street parking or off street parking is required.
Hello, My name is Danish and we are a group of 4 people. We are all Indians and were on holidays for a month and one of our guy is still in Melbourne. We need a house or a place where we can have separate rooms. You can send me a WhatsApp text and my friend will contact you for inspection. Thanks
I'm an easy going, French/English speaker, studying at the University of Melbourne. I am looking for friendly housemates and for a familial environment adequate for studying although I do love the occasional night out (I'm one of those people that drink exclusively vodka).
Hi I am Annalisa, a German/Italian mix who grew up in the Netherlands. I am 27 yo and starting my PhD at the Olivia Newton John Cancer institute. I have been to Melbs 2 years ago and they were the best months of my life, I got homesick to Melb and decided to come back and do a PhD. So here I am looking for a room! My plane lands on March 1. I am very social but also like my quiet moments, always in for a brunch or going out for a few drinks. I love to cook, it sorta calms me down after a busy day. Other than that I love to hike and I will bring my road bike.
I am a respectful, tidy and friendly person. I work in community health in the CBD and am also a coach in Northcote. Outside of work, I'm quite a social person that enjoys friends, housemate and family time most nights, yet sometimes i'll head to bed early with a book or listen to music. I mostly read personal development, poetry and educational books of sorts. Other hobbies are cooking, gigs, cafés/writing, cycling the trails, playing the guitar. I grew up in Gippsland and am looking for a new home with friendly, active and open-minded people aged 22-40. Reach out if you would like to grab a coffee or find out more about me :)
Hey all! My name is Zal, I've just arrived back in Melbourne after doing a stint in Hobart for 6 months. I'm always up for a chat or a beer but respectful of your space. I'm clean. I love to cook and would love to for you whenever I can. In my spare time I like to read, write and go to gigs and festivals. Rarely in a foul mood, I'm chilled out and super easy to get along with :) Would love to find a place with a nice vibe, not just a house but a home where everyone are friends, not just living together in the same space.
I am a film-maker who is going to do a Masters in Media at RMIT.
Friendly, down-to-earth, fairly witty (hopefully) and forever considerate. I'm from London and I love to write (aspiring screenwriter) but more so have a long chat and a good laugh and a hangout etc etc but don't worry am also a fan of the odd moment of personal space and respecting others around me. Do my dishes and never slam doors. Keen for a drink/ tea/ coffee and a dinner party or a Netflix evening, depends on the mood.
Hiya, I'm Thea, 30, female etc etc I've just moved to Melbourne from Perth and am looking for a room. I'm currently staying with my sister in St Kilda so I'm flexible with move-in dates. I've come to Melbourne to do a couple of courses- one is at the city campus of RMIT and the other is a floristry course which will run either in Collingwood or Port Melbourne depending on which one i choose.. I only got to Melbourne yesterday so I currently don't have employment but I have savings in preparation for doing this year of study. I will be looking for some casual work to fit in around my course. However given I'm not sure what my work situation will be yet I'm looking for somewhere with modest rent so about $230 a week max. I'd like to live somewhere within about 30 mins of the RMIT campus I don't know Melbourne very well so am open to looking at other locations. I was thinking Brunswick or somewhere round there perhaps. So, I'm 30, i'm not a party-ier if thats a word.. I'm looking for possibly a female house but I don't really mind. I'd prefer to live with people of a similar age, I would probably best get along with quiet nerdy people with a good dose of cynicism & a good sense of humour. I find extremely extroverted people a bit hard to deal with.. they drain my soul.. not on purpose I'm sure. I like time alone and having my own space but as a general rule I'm pretty chatty, funny, bit cynical, easy-going. I love british panel shows and David Mitchell is my spirit animal. That's enough rambling for now, many thanks, cheers for reading Thea
My name is Leah and I’m looking for a new place to call home. Originally from Adelaide, I have lived in Melbourne for 3 years. I’m a 30 year old professional working full time in health (although I swear I'm still young and fun sometimes). I am house trained and I am experienced in living in share houses. I am clean and tidy, and I am respectful of others space, possessions and lifestyles. Ideally looking for housemates who share similar values. I work Monday to Friday full time with stable employment. I like catching up with friends for brunches, dinners or drinks on weekends and the occasional evenings. I also enjoy nights in where I can be found watching midsummer murders or Netflix and shuffling in my slippers. I am happy doing my own thing, but definitely open to the occasional shared meal or wine with housemates. I come with a small dog named Oska. Oska is also house trained. He typically runs around naked, but occasionally wears clothes, including one a hammerhead shark costume (I’m open to any and all suggestions on outfits). Will almost always greet you at the door with a pink stuffed elephant. I can often be found taking Oska for walks, walking buddies always welcome. I'm sadly having to vacate my current lease as the landlord is moving back in to the house. I am willing and able to be added to any existing lease.
Im very laid back and respectful of all walks of life. I'm very sociable but also enjoy down time to myself. in my spare time I enjoy painting, listening to music and watching movies. I get great satisfaction from cooking at home and cooking for people so am definitely down for family meals on occasion. All in all I like to think I'm an easy and fun person to be around.
Hi! My name is Jack and I'm a 22 year old part time law student. I work at the fruit shop around 30-40 hours per week and in my spare time I like to play roller hockey, cook and fiddle around with music. I come with a pizza oven and a Nintendo switch that you are welcome to use :) I am chatty and easygoing but am happy hanging alone. I'd like to make friends with a housemate, but I'm breezy. I am very unfussy and I don't need a whole lot from a property to keep me happy, but i always keep kitchens and rooms clean. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions :) Able to move (and start paying) pretty much ASAP.
Hi! We are an easy-going couple looking for a room! Erik, 27, Swedish – I’m currently a full-time Master student at La Trobe where I study Political Economy, with the ambition to commence onto a PhD. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures, and have spent most of my adult years abroad, both as a student and a worker, including countries like the UK, U.S. and Aus. I like to get out and do things, and am really into cooking, music, as well as reading. Sarah, 27, Aussie - I’m doing extended study in Film Production after being at NIDA in Sydney. I’ve previously lived in Brunswick for 2.5 years. I love the arts and food scene in Melbourne, so when I’m not working or studying I’d say 99% of what I enjoy doing falls into these two categories. We've just arrived back to Aus after living in Stockholm and have both lived in many shared houses before. We are friendly and outgoing people looking for a place that everyone respects e.g. cleaning up dishes and kitchen areas after cooking, paying bills on time, tidying communal areas and just enjoying a stress free happy house with some genuine people. If your house sounds like our description and you think you’d like to meet us, we would love to hear from you !

I am a fun-loving 28 year old professional from Melbourne looking for somewhere to call home, longer term. I'd say I have a pretty bubbly, social and kind personality and enjoy catching up with housemates over drinks or house meals. I'm also very easy going and open minded and like to contribute fairly by proactively keeping a clean living space. Aside from my profession in the sciences, I enjoy all things creative in my own time; cooking, writing, painting, reading and listening to all sorts of music/gig-going. I enjoy trying new things and learning from others' interests and knowledge. Please PM me if this sounds like you and you'd like to chat further :) Liv
My name's Carolyn 🙂 I’m a 27 year old, full time student. I study Speech Pathology in the city. I've recently moved out of a full time care position. I’m looking for something soon, long-term, and a safe place that feels like home. I've had previous sharing experience, so I come house trained. I’m neat, friendly and easy-going... And an open communicator. I enjoy BBQs, going to gig’s, shared TV watching, reading, tennis, films, playing and listening to music. I love nature and the outdoors... I'm very much into respecting others, their space and peaceful living. I like to be involved and contributing to a community feel of a place, but also really enjoy my alone time some days. I have a cat called Froot who'd be coming with me. He’s fully house trained and mostly an indoor guy because he’s scared of birds. We go for outside walks 🍃🐈 🐾on his lead... He also turns into a good alarm clock if you ever feed him. I'm a relatively busy person that likes focusing on my studies. I volunteer at the Children First Foundation, and have a boyfriend who's place I stay at sometimes. I'm financially reliable and pay my bills on time... I receive government funding while I'm studying that covers rent. As well as currently looking for a new job on top of this. I'm not looking for a party house. I don't smoke or do drugs. I like a scotch every so often with a movie. I'm LGBT+ friendly. Easy to get along with. I like being environmentally conscious, but don't push my views on others. NRSA approved. Have a valid police check... ? I'm looking for places with aircon, dishwashers, etc... Something easy to clean. With a small garden if available. I come with: - My bedroom furnishings. - L shaped couch. - Small coffee table. - A rug. - a coffee machine. - A desk. - A bookcase. - An outdoor table (could be used as a dining table). - Small outdoor bar fridge. - Sound system. - TV. - TV unit. - Playstation 2 & 3. - Heaps of 64 games. - An extensive DVD collections. - Kitchenware. - Plants :) (these can be kept in storage if space doesn't permit). Anything else you'd like to know please feel free to ask! So yeah, send me a PM and we'll grab a coffee or something It would be great to hear from you! Thanks, Carolyn.
