Hey, I'm Aimee-May from the UK. I've been travelling for 3 months so far and I'm looking for work and accommodation. I attended boarding school when I was 11, so I'm used to living and sharing space with others. I'm up for a chilled night in, but also a mental night out. I'm responsible and looking to meet new people.
Hi, Im a friendly, social being who likes a tidy house. I've lived in all sorts of share situations - sharing food, going it alone, cleaning as needed and keeping to a strict roster. I'm reliable and organised - hopefully this doesn't mean I'm not fun! I like to think I am and love a good bonding/gossip sesh and a laugh. Like to share teas/wines/beers as they happen and have no problems grabbing washing off the line before rain, watering pot plants when others are away and picking this up from the shops on the way home. I'm an urban planner working for state gov full time, a country girl at heart I'm a fan of a bit of gardening. My current house has chickens which I love and am sad to be leaving. I have a super affectionate cat and an entire house of furniture to contribute (although I'd happily discuss letting some of it go if needed). Looking to move by May 15 either into a great existing sharehouse or start a new one. My location preference is super-free, I'm only in need of a train within 10mins walk or a 1/2 hr easy bike ride to the cbd.
Hi, my name is Alex and I'm looking for a relaxed place where I can enjoy the company of my housemates. I work full-time and am looking to move closer to work. I'm also looking for housemates that are easy going and considerate like myself. I play guitar and enjoy socialising but equally enjoy time to myself. I'm LGBT+ friendly and hope to find like-minded individuals to share a home with. :)
I'm a 23yo girl from Peru, but I've been living in Australia for three years now. I'm working or study 7/7, so I'm usually back home to chill or cook some dinner. Would be great to find some gay friendly housemates who won't mind to socialise too.I don't smoke and I don't drink much, coffee it's my favourite addiction. I'm interested to move out the first or second week of March. Adriana
Hey guys! I'm on a look out for a long term room available from the 1th of March (or later) preferably around northcote/fitzroy north/thornbury/brunswick/east. I'm 27 years old, and I am starting my PhD in Social Sciences at La Trobe University (Bundoora Campus). It is 4 years program, so it would be nice to find housemates I could call friends:) I'm very chilled, vegetarian, clean, love yoga, travelling and cooking. I love a drink of wine and a chat every now and then but can also respect personal space. I come from Poland, however, I already lived in Melbourne for 11 months (W&H). I went travelling SE Asia for few months, then visited my family in Europe and now I'm back in this beautiful city :) I have lived in many countries before (lots of stories to tell)! I preferably need something furnished, or at least with a bed as I don't currently own any furniture over here. I'm looking to live in a house with a garden/ backyard, so not very keen for apartment. Unfortunatelly I am allergic to cats. However I love dogs, so if you have one I can even take care of him sometimes! Please me know if you have anything available!! xx
Hi I'm a Swedish 20 year old Swede who just arrived to Melbourne and i'm planning on staying here for at least 4 months (could possibly be more). I just got a job at a foodplace in qv and I'm now wanting to move out of the hostel i'm currently staying at. I would prefer to have my presentation about my self face to face or via telefon, because im not very good in text, if that is possible for you. Hope to hear from you soon, Ebbe Von Gertten
I am a 20 year old university student who grew up in Singapore. I love a great night with friends in addition to being passionate about sport and music. I am really easy going and flexible with having people over. I am a people person and love to get to know new people.
Georgie and I are both from England looking to spend some months in Melbourne. We are both recent graduates and love the outdoors, eating out and socialising. Looking to find a place and other flat mates to enjoy together what Melbourne has to offer.
Hey I'm 22 and have just moved from Perth. I've lived in sharehouses for the past 5 years, and am really clean and easygoing. I study naturopathy full time and work part time.
My name is Michael, I am a 23 year old coffee professional from Perth and moving to Melbourne at the beginning of March. I am starting a job as a coffee trainer for an awesome company in Collingwood and will be working 5-6 days per week. I enjoy coming home to relax with a tasty beer or wine, some good conversation and a movie. On my nights and days off I enjoy exploring the city for new places to eat and drink and spend my holidays snowboarding as much as possible! I have been renting for the last 6 years including in Melbourne, Perth and Switzerland and have never been late with any payments. I am trustworthy, clean and considerate and excited to find my new home!
Hello, I am an Architect from India, in Melbourne for postgraduate study at the University of Melbourne, looking for a flatshare. I am a fun, respectful and clean human person. I have shared houses before and get along well with most people. I am pretty social and like to cook veggie treats, sketch a little and explore new places. If you like catching up on the latest movies, TV shows or anything visual for that matter, we would get along quite well. We would also get along very well if you'd like to be left alone. Privacy is important for me and I respect this need in others as well. My idea of fun is to catch up with friends over drinks or food and sometimes a quiet night in with a good book or a movie. I am looking for easy going, conscientious and tidy people to cohabit a space with. Cheers
G'day! I'm Olly, halfway through my bachelor in Architecture. Just moved down from Brisbane looking for cheap rent haha, I'm pretty social/easy-going. I consider myself pretty tidy (from what others have said) and enjoy the occasional old trash talking. I don't expect to be home all the time; during the week I'll be working/studying and enjoy surfing so expect to be pretty busy on the weekends too!
I'm moving from Far North Queensland to Melbourne for a new job, so I need somewhere to live! I'm someone who is happy staying in and watching movies or going out on an adventure. I'm happy to hang out, but also respectful of space. If you have pets that's okay with me because I love animals. Please feel free to message me if you think you might have a place for me.
Hi I'm Eileen I studied photography back in Perth and moved down to Melbourne last year to pursue my career. I now work as a waitress for financial support. I enjoy art and galleries, drawing, casual drinking, board games and clubbing. I'm easy-going, LGBT+ friendly and a deep sleeper (so I won't complain about people vacuuming in the morning cos I don't even know that happened anyway). I would like to social and meet new people, have a few drinks at night and do not mind to have a bit of party in the house. I love animals. I have been living with dogs, rabbits and I took care of my housemates' fish tanks and rabbit while they were away. I'm after a clean tidy house where everyone is respectful and responsible to maintain the public area. It would also be great to move into a house where people talk to each other instead of hiding in their own rooms. Furnished/ unfurnished room will be fine as I have my own bed and desk. Please let me know if you think I'm suitable for your house. Thank you.
Hi there! My name is Sarah, and I am relocating from Adelaide in April. I'm looking to move into a fully furnished place but can furnish my own room. I'm a very easy-going person, friendly and open-minded so we will never be short of fun conversations. I'm neat and tidy with my personal spaces and have great respect for those around me. I like to cook and am more than capable of cleaning and cooking. I'm more the type of person to have someone over for dinner as opposed to being a big party person, but I do love to socialise. In regards to practical details, I'm working full-time as an Accounts Administrator but am looking at moving into HR. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hello, My name is Sandy, I am 23, a mechanical engineer, moving to Melbourne in March. Indian by passport but grew up between India, England and Malaysia. First time in Australia. When I am not working I am generally reading a book, watching a movie, or working on my music (singing). Huge F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan. I cook decent pasta and Indian food but only when I am in the mood for it. Vegetarian by choice, And I tend to keep my room, kitchen (if i do cook) and bathrooms clean.
We are a Chilean couple traveling to Melbourne with a working holiday visa, and we are looking for a quiet place to live in. Both of us are very clean and tidy, as well as considerate, polite, respectful, calm and easygoing. We love sports and nature. We are professionals from the Humanities / Arts area. We are non-smokers.
Hi! I'm Stace, just turned 26. I work full time as a retail manager. I've only been living in Melbourne for just over 4 months (originally from Brissy if there's anything follow Queenslanders out there) so I'm hoping to live somewhere where I can possibly make some new friends out of it! I love live music and a cheeky bev (or six) on a school night.
I am a 23 year old Architecture Student doing my masters degree at the University of Melbourne. I enjoy music, hiking, art, film and have a great sense of humour. I am easy going, clean and reliable.
Clean and tidy. Respect other people's space. Sociable but not a party person. Able to pay rent on time. Graduate student, will be working part time. Looking for a quiet and friendly place to stay. Hi, I’m Hernan from the Philippines and I am a grad student at Melbourne Uni. I am looking for a quiet, clean and secure place to stay, with a functional kitchen and laundry area. The place must be accessible to public transport going to Melbourne Uni or walking distance. I would be happy to share a house with like-minded people who might be busy with our own pursuits but would also enjoy occasional discussions or outings. More About Me I’m an engineer currently involved in renewable energy projects here in my country and will be studying the same field there for a year and a half. I am in my early thirties, enjoy exploring new places and will be happy to meet new people. I’m not sporty but I won’t say no to some hiking, climbing, biking and the likes. I have experienced sharing a room/house during my college years, so I know how to keep to myself or engage my housemates as needed. I’m respectful of other people’s space and able to clean up my own. I am also willing to share in the house chores if that’s the arrangement. I should be able to pay rent on time as I have a modest allowance from a scholarship, as long as it is within budget. Let me know if you have a nice place for a grad student like me. Thank you!
Hello! I'm a 30 year old professional working in social media who works office hours. I am quiet, clean and tidy. I'm a foodie, who enjoys going out for a meal. I also have a little friendly cat called Scout who doesn't damage furniture and is very quiet. I'm looking for a unfurnished apartment or townhouse to move into. I would prefer a bed and study but if a room is large enough for a desk, it would be perfect.
Hiya! I'm a 28 year old female with a well trained and very friendly 5yo cat, Dr. Watson. I'm moving to Melbourne from Sydney to take up uni and will work part or full time as necessary. (Previously a qualified veterinary nurse- have worked the past 4 years in insurance- escalations/disputes/assessing claims). I've just returned from backpacking around Europe and am hoping to move to Melbourne in March. I keep a clean house and I'm quite respectful of noise. I do like to drink and 'party' at times however this is rarely at home. If you are the kind to have people over regularly that is perfectly fine by me! (On a 'worknight' I'd appreciate some hush by 10.30 though) I'm hoping to have someone to hang out with, but also will respect your privacy (as I hope you will mine). I have a passion for music, animals, food (I'm vegan but not a wanker- you can eat meat!), philosophy, nature and travel.
I am a 26 yr old full time working professional. I'd say I'm very considerate, clean, quiet and humerous. Looking for house mates that are maybe a little too clean but laid back at the same time if you exist? Im fine with keeping to myself but if we have things in common I'd be down for a chat and I'll probably talk you into eating whatever I'm cooking. I don't mind confrontation so if you ever want to tell me to shutup or take the bins out I'd be cool with that.
I'm 23 and I work at Coach store at DFO which makes me super busy. I love to keep fit and have a healthy lifestyle and I have a strong love for wine and cheese.
Hey! me and my girlfriend are looking for a place to live , we are recently arrived in melbourne and staying in a house in richmond at the moment, but we like it more in St Kilda or any of the northern part of Melbourne for its vibe. We both quite like music, and are pretty creative, thats why we came to melbourne. I work in a cheese shop in the prahran market and my girlfriend is starting work in hospitality as well, we are both respectful, tidy and easygoing. I am from chile by the way and she is from the US , and we are planning on staying in Melbourne for a while, i will personally be most of the time either at work, or out doing workshops ( i plan on taking some music making lessons and photography and maybe cooking and dancing ) , and my girlfriend too, so we would be home mostly for the relaxing part, i quite film as well so i enjoy watching movies and reading, watching documentaries, etc. So thats more or less our plan for Melbourne and if we have the time for it probably going for little nature trips on the weekends if i get to fix my camper van. Well anyways if its still possible to make a visit and you feel like it we would be intrested so just hit me back ! Thanks.
Hi all, Looking for a place on the north side that is available now. One of my friends (25) is also looking, so if you have more than one room available please get in touch. I'm a second-year master's student and part-time retail lackey. Into cycling, cooking, reading and being gay. Cheers, Oscar
Sian and I are a cute laid back couple. We like to keep to ourselves just as much as we like to go out and about. We currently live in a little beach unit by ourselves in Brisbane, but I've been offered a better job in Melbourne so unfortunately we are going to leave the beach life behind. Most work days we just come home, cook dinner, watch a TV series and sleep. Sian is into pole fitness and I'm into motorbikes. When we get spare time we like to take the bike out for adventures/camping/etc. Ideally I need a secure location to keep my motorbike at night (it doesn't require much room). We are hoping to find a comfortable place with a small number of occupants. We are looking for a nice sized room, we would prefer not to be crammed in like sardines as there will be the 2 of us in 1 room and we would both like to set up a small desk. Hopefully we can find some nice flatmates soon so that we can move down to Melbourne shortly after we get home from overseas in March. Thanks for reading
Hey I'm Dan, 22, full time employed in financial services, pretty extraverted. I'm relatively new to Melbourne and looking to move near the CBD. Would love to find one or more cool housmates. I like Great food, beer, wine & whisky and I'm told I'm excellent company to binge watch nextflix and drink cheap wine with. If your a fan of Doctor Who, Game of Thrones or South Park that's already a great start. I'm pretty chilled out, like to keep a clean place. I don't have any gender or cultural preferences on who I live with, as long as your friendly and good company I'm we will get along great. Also somewhere with a car park would be great.
Hey Hey ! I am looking for a room in shared house to act as my base of operations for the next 6 months to a year. I work in the events industry and am also a really keen rock climber so between travelling for work and seeking new adventures in rock climbing I can end up being away from home quite a lot. That said I love to be social when I am home, I'm dead keen in the kitchen and also enjoy chilling out and watching some good TV or movies. Definitely not looking for a party house. I work freelance so do need to work form my room on occasion so ideally am seeking a largish room in a house with one or two other people. Three or four would be considered though if they are the right folks ! If you have a room and would be keen to have a a UK ex pat (Very nearly Australian as I have been here for over 15 years ) share your space, occasionally cook you a meal and generally enjoy some home life with ping me a message and lets meet up and have a chat and see if it will work out. Nice One ! Owen T aka OT.
About me: I'm a book reader. Tea lover. Cat owner. I'm laid back and easy going. Socially minded. I enjoy the occasional after work drink, a shared meal or just good food in general. I'm interested in the arts, science, Netflix. In my spare time I enjoy boxing, board-games and catching up with friends. All in all, as a person I'm friendly, open-minded and warm. I'm not fussy, but clean. Happy to be social, but also happy to give you your personal space. I don't mind sharing things/groceries, as long as we are respectful of each others stuff. Plus I always pay my bills on time. About my cat: She is very very house friendly and has experience living with other cats. My current landlord is also happy to provide a reference for her :)
Hiya! my name is maddy and i'm moving up from adelaide to melbourne to attend a film school. i'm a very friendly person who gets along with most people as well as having a love for animals. im really respectful and not a party person and rather introverted meaning i occasionally just need time on my own to recharge though i am quite happy to become friends and have a chat/hangout. im neat and tidy but not a neat freak and love video games (i have a ps3, wii, wii u, nds, and 3ds that will be accompanying me on my journey) and will always be happy to binge watch any anime or tv show with you!
Hi guys I'm 24 years old, business student from Finland. I'm easy going, very tidy person who loves to spend time with a good company. I'm looking for a share house with easy going, tidy people with a good sense of humour. I'm working most of the nights as a bartender in Brunswick so a place close by would be awesome. please don't hesitate to contact me, Cheers x
I'm 32 and currently work in hospitality (around 35-40 hours a week around the city) - occasionally I work a couple of late nights per week. I'm relatively new to Melbourne (12 months) and am currently living in the Northcote but need to vacate at the end of the my lease (10th March), although I can move out earlier if necessary. I'm sociable and friendly but also respectful of other people's privacy. I have a great group of friends here in Melbourne but am always open to meeting new people. I'm a fairly relaxed person (except when I'm driving on Melbourne roads!) and I just enjoy friendly people with a sense of humour. No food requirements. I generally shop for myself but communal items I have no problems sharing. I have a TV and television stand, plus fridge and microwave. The white goods could be stored in the short term if they are not needed.
I'm a hard working Industrial Design student and am looking for a place to live until I move to the Netherlands for a semester. I like keeping spaces clean and tidy but am generally quite relaxed. I enjoy cooking and am enthusiastic about keeping fit and active.
G'day! My name is Hans, and I'm 21 year-old viking from Denmark who's very interested in finding a place. I've been having fun in Melbourne for about 3 months now and I'm loving it here! I work as a waiter/bartender at Riverland Bar. I'm very open to meeting new people and love going out to see awesome stuff, everything from hiking and biking to concerts or festivals. Additionally, i speak fluent banter. I've lived abroad in Singapore for 8 months and stayed in hostels around Asia for another 9 months, so I definitely know the importance of respecting privacy and cleanliness. These trips abroad have made me quite mature for my age as well. Anyway, I'd love to meet up for a chat or go for an inspection, i'm sure it'll be great! See you soon Hans
I'm a 32 year old Pilates instructor and lapsed graphic designer who has recently moved home to suffocating, small town Brisbane after a 3.5 year stint living in Hackney, London. I'm an easy going kinda gal into all the usual things such as art, music, travel, food, wine, dogs, hating Trump etc etc. I'm looking to find some easy going, like minded housemates who may turn into some great pals or at least acquaintances that know how to use a sponge. I'm also good with a sponge, can whip up a Pescatarian friendly meal, pet friendly (dog obsessed) very independent and happy to do my own thing but always up for a wine/beer/cuppa and a chat. Although I'll be new to Melbourne (half of Brisbane has moved there let's be honest) I do have some friends down there already so no babysitting is required but I would love to meet some new people through my housemates and potentially build some sweet new friendships. My wild party days are well and truly behind me (did they ever really exist?) but I do still love a good gathering of friendly folk. I'm also up for checking out all Melbourne has to offer so anything cultural (exhibitions, dance performances, gigs) op shopping and market visits I'll be down for and always happy to have company. I'm also excited to explore the rest of Victoria and have a functioning vehicle in order to make all the road trips happen, all the time *pending my cars ability to make it down to Melbourne in one piece. Although I'm still in Brisbane currently, I have functioning phone and internet if you'd like to organise a chat or a Facetime or the likes. I will also be down for a visit next Tuesday-Thursday (28th Feb - 2nd March) So happy to pop in for a visit then. Anyhoo if you'd like to know more please feel to get in touch. Looking forward to meeting my new Flatmates very soon! Luisa :)
Hi! I'm Anastasia, a 19 year old undergrad from LaTrobe Uni. I recently moved back to Australia to study after living overseas for several years. I am a very chill, laid-back, friendly and respectful person who loves cooking, reading and fitness. I'm very responsible when it comes to committing to agreements and I also try to maintain a pretty clean and tidy space. So I hope we can be great flatmates in the near future!
I’m Felipe 29yo from Brazil, just arrived in Melbourne. I’m an architect, finished my master in London a couple of years ago and I’ve been working in Brazil for the past 10 years. I’m quite laid back, very tidy and enjoy spending time with friends. Since I’ve just arrived, I’m still looking for a job but I hope to find something soon. Thanks!
Hi there, my girlfriend Cintia and me, both argentinian, have been in Australia since 2015. We really like to meet new people from around the world, and spend time with our flatmates. We´re easy going and like to keep the flat clean and tidy. We both love travelling and listening to music. Cheers, Diego
I've been house-sharing in Melbourne for the past 6 years and I like for a house to feel like a home. This usually comes down to the people in it! I'm extremely friendly, approachable and open minded. Once you know me I'm also playful, observant, cheeky, empathetic, and almost no topic of conversation is off-limits. After a big day of socialising I'll probably chill in the courtyard (with any luck, where I live will have one) with a book on my own for a little bit to recharge. I am 'house trained' as in I treat things with respect, ask first if I'm ever using someone else's stuff and clean as I go - I'd like my housemates to value the same mantra. I'm not a huge party goer so it wouldn't make sense for me to team with anyone who is! Bitching, judging, preaching, passive-aggressive nonsense etc. all don't bode well with me and I wouldn't stick around for it in a house enviro. I'm all about the live and let live life. I enjoy reading, music/gigs, exploring, watching movies/TV series, hiking, camping, exercising (irregularly, of course) and a bunch of other things but I sure don't need my housemates to have the same interests :) I'm looking for somewhere in the following suburbs: - Brunswick/Brunswick East - Parkville - North Melbourne - Northcote - Collingwood - Fitzroy - Richmond - South Melbourne My preference will be at a place with amazing people, but it's also a priority for me to be walking or cycling distance to a market/supermarket. I don't have any pets but a household open to them would be ace as I'm keen on adopting a cat. A house with a no pets rule, however, is not a deal breaker.
Hi, I'm originally from Sydney but have lived in Melbourne for 5 years. I work at the store Dinosaur Designs and am about to start studying again - a BA in creative writing. I have a degree in French, have been to film school, have lived overseas for three years... I enjoy a relatively quiet home as I do a lot of writing and reading, but also love sharing a wine, meal etc. Mainly go to gigs and dinner parties for fun, not really a wild child and enjoy home as a sanctuary. My main interests: literature, art, 3rrr/pbs, zines, films, nature, dance.
