New to Melbourne and looking for a great place to live and some great housemates! I'm 27, an English teacher originally from Wales but have lived in both Canada and Spain. I'll be working full time as of the end of September. I prefer to spend my weekends exploring the city or doing something new. I'm pretty outgoing, into the outdoors, snowboarding and canoeing. I'm also a complete foodie who loves cooking for other people. Looking for a laid back house to call home 😊
Hi, My name is Maria Lucia, I’m 28 , I moved to Melbourne two years ago to do my masters in Sustainable Tourism at Monash University, and now I graduated and work full time so I am looking for a new place where to stay. I come from Colombia, I lived a few years in Europe and now I am loving living in Melbourne. I am the type of person who really loves going to events, festivals, shows and exhibitions, and Melbourne is the perfect place for it. I am often out and about, either for work or for pleasure but I also love to spend some quality time at home, cook good food and watch a movie. I am a very tidy and clean person, and I think that the public spaces of a share house should always be clean and respectfully treated. I am looking for a nice and cosy house, but also for a nice atmosphere at home with my flatmates. Please send me a message if you have a double room in a two or three-bedroom apartment. Only rooms with a window, please =) (what is the deal with rooms with no Windows here in Melbourne??) =)
I'm a fun loving guy that gets along with pretty much everyone!! I'm a bit shy to start with but it doesn't take long for me to warm up to people. I'm pretty clean and tidy. Love being social, going out for drinks, also happy to binge watch Game Of Thrones or Harry Potter hahah. I do have a dalmatian who is currently 13 weeks old! He's the actual love of my life and the best little buddy you could ask for. If you want to live with a cool dog dad and the cutest dalmatian ever then I'm definitely the right fit for you :P I'm currently working full time at a childcare centre in Richmond. Have plans to study in the near future probably something to do with interior design cause I looooove decorating and design. If you want to know anything else about me please send me a message and we can get to know each other more! Hope to hear from you :)
Grew up in the states and Singapore but been living in Melbourne for about 10 years. I work as an Industrial Designer - this keeps me pretty busy often, but in my downtime I love going to gigs around town (the Tote might as well be my second home :D) and I often spend a lot of time making things and tinkering (usually at a workshop near work). I enjoy cooking and run frequently to stay fit and active. I prefer to keep things clean and tidy, and tend to keep to myself a bit, but certainly don't mind socialising over good drinks and food.
We're a Spanish couple that has lived in Ireland, England, Italy, Switzerland and of course, Spain. We're now trying to enjoy our year here as much as possible. She's an architect who's working in a studio at the CBD and I'm a journalist and translator that freelances as much as takes part time jobs in hospitality. We keep it chilled during the weeks and are up for everything during the weekends. Either having a bottle of wine, cooking or going out to a concert or to play some sport works for us, and we'll be making trips every now and then. We also have Netflix, HBO-Go and Amazon Prime Video, so we'll also enjoy our own time binge-watching any new show. We've lived on our own, in student accomodations and with other people, so we know the importance of respecting everyone's space while trying to keep a family vibe within the house 🏡
Hello! I'm Flo, from Scotland and Michael is from Perth, W.A. We are looking for a fun and friendly new share house. We are vegan, ethically minded folk who have 3 adorable pet rats so our new home must be rattie friendly. We're happy, mindful, laid back, respectful people. Home is important to us and we are looking for a place to be proud of. Both of us have had plenty share-housing experience and understand the necessities of being a topnotch housemate. We love cleaning, sometimes we play rock paper scissors to see who gets to do the dishes, really. Also we are pretty dedicated dumpster dive masters so there's often plenty of savaged food up for grabs! I really like plants, gardening, music, and a good old chill sesh, Michael is a keen photographer, cyclist and d.i.y'er. Both of us enjoy cooking and spend a fair bit of time creating tasty sensations in the kitchen, totally up for sharing meals now and again. We both work full time day jobs and enjoy getting out amongst nature for camping trips when we can. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to know anything more.
Hey, My name is Tom, 27 from the UK and working in Melbourne as a renewable energy engineer. I’m looking for a house about 30min commute from the CBD. Ideally in St Kilda, or somewhere else near the sea. But open to other areas like Richmond, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Prahran and affordable places in the CBD. I'll be here for the foreseable future and have a valid visa so can do long term :). I love to jog, cycle and hoping to try and get surfing a bit more (I don’t own a car but will probably rent from time to time – you’re welcome to join!). Also planning to do some exploring in the area like great ocean road and Grampians etc, and some hikes. Otherwise, I enjoy Netflix, cooking, trying to get more into reading. I’d like to move into a home rather than a house, with people who are up for hanging out now and now. I’ve got my own stuff going on and pretty busy in the week, but beers on the odd Friday are always good! Cheers, Tom
Hello future housemates! I've recently finished studying (yay!) and as I'm back to working full-time in the city I'm looking for a more convenient place to live - a house that feels like a home and friendly, mature, interesting people to share it with. More about me… I’m clean and tidy and respectful of other people’s space, and just as happy chatting and hanging out as I am relaxing on my own. More of a dinner with friends than a house-party kind of person but hey, I can be convinced. ;) When I’m not at work (or hiding from Melbourne winters) I love to get outdoors as much as possible - hiking, climbing, camping, biking - anything really. I’ve been lucky enough to travel and work overseas quite a bit, and I love learning other languages/cultures/perspectives and being challenged in my own. I do also work from home occasionally, so a space where I can do that is important. Oh, and I come with a cat. She’s really small (though her personality isn’t) and incredibly well-behaved - if you don’t like her, she will leave you completely alone. I'm not her original human but he went overseas and so she's stuck with me now. Hope to hear from you soon!
Moving to Melbourne from Northern NSW to study fine arts & also work. I’m only 20, but I’m a senior hairdresser and have been managing a salon for the last few months. I’m hoping to have secured work before I move if not it won’t be soon afterwards. I’m tidy, like to hangout and be social but also happy just doing my own thing! I love going to gigs, markets, making art, would never say no to burger or movie nights and love going to the footy. Looking at moving mid-to-late October, depending when I secure a place. Will fly down to meet housemates and view room beforehand!
Hey! I'm currently in New Zealand and looking at coming over to Melbourne early 2019. I have a degree in Psychology and Criminology and am looking at work related to this field over there. I am wanting to move anytime between Feb-March and can be flexible of the date for the right room! I enjoy hanging out with friends and socialising and would prefer to move into a flat where we can get along and not just live together. Flick me a message if this sounds like you and we can get talking!
Hi everyone, my name is Ryan. I run my own business directing and editing videos as well as running music events. I am very friendly and enjoy socializing yet am very quiet and often keep to myself in my living space. In my spare time I like to go to see live music, theatre, write/produce my own music as well as go to the gym 4 times a week. I have traveled extensively, am an artist and spiritual person (not of any specific religion) and enjoy great conversation with liked minded individuals.
I'm Lauren, a 24 year old female that works as a full time Graphic Designer for a Wellness Company. I moved here last year from QLD and am keen to meet some new people but also enjoy my own time. I love going to the gym, art and yoga. The lease on my current flat has ended so am looking for a new place to call home! I'm laid back, tidy, respectful and love to cook! I'm usually home around 6pm each day after work then off to the gym. I love to have a chat but am also respectful of your own space.
I'm a easygoing person, clean and tidy. Have been traveling the world a bit. Like to have good conversations with a beer or a glass of wine.
Hey I'm Nicole and I work in fashion Marketing/PR. I've just moved here to Melbourne from Los Angeles for the year on a working visa. I'm clean and organized, but also pretty relaxed and considerate about things. I like to eat, hit up bars on the weekends, and sometimes during the week if I'm up for it. I love photography, art and road trips. I'll be traveling a lot to see more of the country so would love to find some easy-going likeminded individuals to live with.
Hello everyone! I recently moved to Melbourne from the United States (Ohio) with my company to work in our Australian office. I work for a healthcare software company so what you'd consider a "young professional". I'm a 25 year old male and I consider myself to be fairly clean and sociable. I enjoy going out on the weekends to grab food and drinks, live music, and I plan on traveling throughout the region while I am here for the next couple years. I'm very excited to explore Melbourne and go to some events too. During the week I like to cook, go to the gym, and play sports. I enjoy with having people over on the weekends and would like flatmates that are ok with that from time to time. However, I am looking for a place that will be pretty calm during the week since I wake up early for work. I'd like to find similar individuals to live with and hope to move in during early October. Please reach out if you think I would be a good fit. Also, worth mentioning that I have a stipend from my company that allows for purchasing furniture, kitchen supplies, appliances, and cleaning supplies. If your price is negotiable based on that, please let me know. Cheers!
Hi pals! I'm Karina, 27 year young female! I am looking for a private room to rent in December (I may not move until early Jan, but happy to secure and pay for the room anywhere from the start of December onwards). I'm making the country to city move for my job in forensic psychiatric nursing, i will be employed full time, working shift work and also studying my masters. I will more than likely return to my home town when i have annual leave - so i probably won't have a lot of free time! My social life in the country usually consists of skiing/stand up paddle boarding/camping on the river or just having a few beers at the local! I'm pretty chill, and a bit past the hectic party scene. But i don't mind sitting down either at home or in a chill pub having a few frothies. I am looking to share a house with some new found friends (not just be strangers), in saying that i also like my own space and mindful that others do to. Ultimately i'd like to live somewhere where i can share a meal on a Sunday or every once in a while, chill on a week night and have a bbq during the summer. I don't mind a board game, a game of table tennis or pool (i'm super competitive). Looking for house mates that are like minded! I do however, come with super cute baggage. My 11 month old British Bulldog puppy, Missy. Who loves cuddles from any human! She's very much a lap dog. She spends pretty much all daylight hours outside, and usually sleeps inside with me. She doesn't bark, unless there is someone unfamiliar approaching a gate or front door. She doesn't chew things (other than her toys) and doesn't dig. She is extremely well behaved, house trained and loves to go for little walks. If you have a place with a small backyard, and think we could join your fam. Please feel free to get in contact! We'd love to hear back from you!
Hi! I am Maria. I am 34 years old. I am from Brazil and I am studying English here in Melbourne. I am studying all the mornings and I would like to have a job here. I love yoga, art, culture and design thinking. I would like to live in a place with these interests and with people that might like practice English.
Hey My names Hannah, I’m a young creative introvert who loves company and lovely humans! Currently in a cute Fitzroy North terrace but am spaceless and having some claustrophobia issues with all of my art supplies looking for a place with enough room for an art corner or study or garage workshop space I work part time in hospitality and part time at a school as their art technician, have a giant tea collection from my time at T2, wanting to work on my silversmithing and painting practice a bit more, want to get my hands dirty in the garden, saving to get scuba dive certified. Basically trying to fill the void of existential nihilism with exciting sparkly things! Would love to come meet y’all and see if I might be a good fit for your house :)
Hey there. We are Ben and Toni and we are a pair of teachers from the UK, currently heading to Melbourne for the second half(ish) of our working holiday visas. We’ve both lived with a range of different people and think we’re both pretty adaptable and genuinely easy to get along with. We are always clean (especially because we’ve both lived with “those people” who aren’t) and we love to cook! Often we’ll keep ourselves to ourselves, but we also really love to chat (especially Ben who can talk for hours)! All in all, we think we’re pretty easy to live with and will hopefully help to make wherever we live a happy place (super cheesy, I know)!
Hey, I’m coming in from San Francisco, CA. Moved here for a job and now looking to find a solid home and housemate(s). I work in fitness, love cooking, read a ton, and I even create youtube videos (search my name and you'll find them easily). Having a relaxed home environment is really important to me which means living with people of similar interests, a clean place I can be proud of, safe and inclusive for everyone to be themselves. I love having a ton of plants around and try to keep common areas neat. I’ll be in school getting certified for personal training, starting my own health coaching business, and helping get a spin studio off the ground here in Melbourne then Sydney then who knows! I was a hairstylist for 10 years, and read tarot. My sidekick (dog) Hilo is along for the ride; he’s 8 and the sweetest most well behaved animal you’ll ever meet so any Pet lovers/owners I would be down to chat. Actually I want to meet anyone who might resonate with tidy, fun, relaxed and responsible. This is a new adventure for me and I'm so excited to be here, everything is lined up now all I have to do is find a good spot to call home. Thanks and good luck everyone
Happy Day, y'all! My name is Kayon (pronounced "Crayon", but without the "r"). As you could probably tell by my use of the word "y'all", I'm from the USA, California to be exact. California's nickname is "The Golden State", and my personality lives up to my home's namesake! I hold a Bachelors Degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. I have been traveling the world for the last two years. Places visited include South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Scandanavia, West Europe, and Asia. Current stop: Australia! I am in Australia on the Working Holiday Visa, and hope to work in research or other science-related fields during my stay in Melbourne. When I am not moving from one country to the next, I enjoy fencing, hiking, working out at the gym, and learning languages. If you're looking for someone to speak English, Spanish, German, or French with, then look no further! In addition to my language skills, two years of living in hostels and homestays, as well as two years working at Berkeley as a conflict resolver and community developer to university students living on-campus, have made me well-versed in communication and sharing spaces with others. I look forward to telling you more in person! Have a blessed day.
