I have just moved to Melbourne from Manchester, UK with a working holiday visa and am looking for somewhere to stay for 6+ months. I'm new to the city so would like to live in a chilled, sociable house share to make friends and feel at home. I've been house sharing back home for over 7 years so I am respectful of the people I'm living with and keep communal areas clean and tidy. Into music, cycling, cooking and coffee (i'm a barista). I'm vegan so would be a massive bonus if future housemates were vegan/vegetarian but defo wouldn't be a problem if you eat meat. If you think I'd fit into your house, give me a shout.
We're Dan and Rach, a couple from England here on a working holiday visa. We're very friendly, love going out for drinks and meeting new people/trying new things but also enjoy movie nights in too. We've just spent 4 weeks touring the New Zealand North Island and now we're hoping to get full time jobs and stay in Melbourne for 2 or 3 months before continuing our travels. I have a customer service and accounts background and Rachel has been a journalist since leaving university. We're big lovers of pizza and Italian food and I love all meats whilst Rach is a vegetarian. We're well kept, tidy and respectful of others and looking forward to living in a friendly, fun environment and making the most of our time here.
Hey I'm steph, I'm pretty chilled and a have a bubbly easy going personality, I love yoga swimming, dogs and writing. I've just moved to Melbourne from Perth and got a new job in a fintech start up! I'm looking for a settled house with chilled but tidy housemates. Always up for a good wine cheese and vinyl night or a BBQ.
I'm will, 25, full time architectural grad, part time lost soul/cynic/charismatic drunk. I'm currently splitting my waking hours between a 9-6 office job during the week in Carlton and a shared art studio on the weekend in Fitzroy. But alas, my sleeping den is currently far far south east in Clayton. There can't be a detriment larger to my withering soul, beauty sleep and commitment to my witch circles (friends, I mean friends, all of which live north side) I would much rather move further north like Iceland but the northern perimeter of Melbourne will do for now. I would be able to do the paper work and move asap as I'm not bound to my current place. Other than such, I'm reliable on the financial side, messes gives me anxiety, I don't really watch tv, but I love music espesh the likes of Bjork/Grace Jones and cooking helps distracts me from the horror of the real world. If this sounds like someone who you'd like to live with hit me a message back or any further question. ✨✨
Hi, I'm Kon, a Bassist who is very sociable, easygoing, vibrant, respectful and has a good sense of humour. Originally I'm Thai but grew up in New Zealand. I lived in Sydney for about five years, worked full time as well as studied and travelled around. I've been in Melbourne for a year, studying part time and working full time in a hotel on Chapel St. I'm gonna live in Melbourne for at least three years to continue my music career. I'm in love with Reggae and Funk music (actually all genres but these genres are on top), I also love Art, animals, psychology, philosophy, being with people and drinking. Cheers
Canadian here on a working holiday visa but switching over to a student visa for the next two years to finish my degree in marketing at rmit. I'm working at a rad little cafe/ wine bar in the city. I'm from Vancouver and while I was there I was working in music so I love going to a gig and checking out some talent. Have been in share houses for years and value being able to have a social and respectable living environment with housemates you get on great with.
Born and raised in Melbourne. I work in hospitality full time as well as a project manager for a start-up agricultural business. I love cooking and I'm always creating crazy concoctions and love cooking for others. I'm really clean, mainly because I don't create a mess in the first place. I repeat, clean... not sterile. I do have a washing machine (can sell if not required), HEAPS of cooking equipment, small couch (can sell if not required) and a lot of plants!
A little about me... I'm a friendly and respectful 31 year old American from Southern California (not a trump supporter, so fear not). I’ve recently returned to Melbourne after going back home for a couple months so looking for a transitional place while I find the right permanent home. At home I was a freelance photographer/event producer and taught ESL so would love to be around fellow creative people. I am currently looking for work in hospo and photography, or really anywhere I can, but have enough savings to last me for the next several months just in case I don’t find something right away. I always pay my bills on time and happy to do my fair share of the housekeeping. I’m a fairly quite person, but keen to hang out and have a beer or meal, or give space when needed.
My name is Esther and I’m a 26 year-old PhD student, currently studying at Durham University in the UK. I’m visiting Melbourne University for 3 months as part of my PhD (beginning of October – end of December) and am looking for somewhere to rent. I will be at the Parkville campus, so am looking for a place within walking distance of this area. I’m chilled-out, but tidy and someone who does their chores! I’m a person that likes to be outside and exploring the city. I love being active, listening to live music, reading and love a good chat! I’m looking to make friends while I’m in Melbourne, so looking for a house/flat with other people :)
I work 4 days/wk as HR Business Partner & Educator with a not-for-profit, and recommenced study of my 4th year Psychology in late August with Monash online. I'm very tidy and clean. I am independent and respectful of individual and shared spaces. I grew up with 3 siblings and a dog, and have lived with partners and in share houses over the past 6 years, very happily. My interests are nature, food and cooking, reading and music, red wine/beer and cheese, going on walks, the beach or the bush, getting away with friends, family time (dinners sometimes twice a week), animals especially cute or interesting ones, and trying new things! I currently live in the heart of the CBD and work is located in Richmond. I'm after something mid to long term.
I have been living in Auckland for the past year; now coming back to Australia for university at RMIT and will be going into a BA of Photography. I'd say I'm a fairly chilled person. I also play the clarinet and have been for ten years, that'll be coming with me. I don't smoke or have any pets, just myself, clarinet and small collection of cameras. I am not the go out and party ever night kind, I'd rather say in or go out somewhere nice with a couple of friends. So I won't be throwing any huge parties. I am looking for a room in Melbourne with fantastic flatmates. Only visited Melbourne a few times so I don't know my way around but am ready for a new city and new people.
Hi! We are JACOB and DAISY and from South Korean. We're working holiday visa holders and have been here for 5 months so far. And now we're planning to move to Melbourne on October 16 to start our new journey in Melbourne! We are a very clean and tidy couple. We always clean the kitchen right after use as we keep everything clean. We are friendly and down to early. We also respect personal boundaries and space when it comes to shared house. We've never made any rent overdue ever so that wouldn't be a problem at all. I'm not comfortable to speak on the phone in English so please text me or message me here instead of phone call.
Hi I'm Cam! I am looking for a place to stay while I am in Melbourne working on a contract. I will be spending most of my time at the office. When I am not working I plan to be exploring Melbourne and hanging with friends. I'm a pretty easy going to live with and looking to make new friends in a new city!
Hi everyone! We're Andrea and Katia, a couple of Italian girls. Me, Andrea, I'm a barmaid and a chef, and my girlfriend Katia, she's a waitress and dancer. It's our first time in Melbourne, we're looking for job, we're excited and ready for this new adventure together! We're a 'wild' couple, who likes to do lot of things, go around, working, see and visit things and new places, know people, have parties, but also sometimes stay at home with film and pop corns! We're respectful to other people in the house, we know what privacy, cleaning, order, silence, and anything about quiet living are. We're sociable people guys, so, thanks to everyone could help us! Cheers, Andrea and Katia.
Moving to Melbourne (from Brisbane) in late September for work. Sociable. Happy. Respectful. Clean. Usually pretty busy, but am easy going when I am at home. Will be working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Free time usually spent being active, out socialising with friends, or chilling while watching a movie/doco or reading a book.
We are a European couple from Austria, well-rounded, easy to get along with and live with. Since we will stay in Australia until June 2018 we are looking for a long term accommodation in the Melbourne area. We enjoy sports, cooking, arts and having a chat with flatmates and a nice bottle of wine/beer every once in a while. We care about our living space and keep the place clean and tidy. We are always open to share a common dinner and exchange travel stories over a nice meal. But we also respect your private area and time if you feel so.

Hello all, I'm 29 years old moving to Melbourne to work and play! I'm from the Sunshine Coast in QLD and although a beautiful place to live, I need to broaden my horizons and explore the hutsle and bustle of the city and food scene! I'm a chef, I work full time. I'm hoping to find like minded young professionals to live with, enjoy a wine and a catch up and go out for a meal from time to time but respectful of the house rules and generally want to be a clean house. I'm kind and generally a good person. I pay bills on time. I'm hoping to start work on the 10th of October or in that week sometimes. All depends on the living situation! Thank Amy
HELLO! Anna here! I've recently returned to Melbourne from overseas and am, once again, looking for a place to call HOME. A bit about me- I'm 22, and am about to start work in mental health research in the CBD. In my spare time I like juggling, dancing, grooving, going to gigs, having a glass of red and trying to make things grow. I'm super laid back, clean and always down for a laugh. Looking for a room in a house with positive vibes, available to move in ASAP. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi! We are 2 canadian nurses looking for a private room in a flat or a house in Melbourne. After a bit of research, we'd like to look into the Collinwood-Fitzroy-Brunswick neighborhoods (but also open to exploring). We have a vehicule but would rather park it somewhere and use public transports. We are both 28, will be working as nurses, are tidy and non-smoker. Our hobbies include cooking, cycling, kitesurfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping... Budget: around 150$/week, negotiable depending on utilities (wifi, water...) References: we lived with a housemate for 3 lovely months in Sunshine Coast, and we stayed on 2 different farms (in Byron Bay and in Renmark). We can provide you with references. Dates: From early October until early December. Let me know if you've got something in that range :) - Annick and Guillaume
