Hi guys, We're Chris (26) and Kay (25), a couple from London who have decided to move to Melbourne for a new experience and way of life. We've both lived and worked in London for the past 4 years. Chris is a digital marketing manager and Kay works in PR/Comms. In our spare time we love exploring the city we're living in, checking out the latest restaurant and bars. We enjoy getting along to a gig every now and again and Chris is fairly into sports (cricket, tennis, golf). We're looking for a sweet place to settle down in Melbourne for the foreseeable future and are open to where we live. If you have anything that could be suitable then please drop us a line!
Current full time nursing student at Australian Catholic University. Keeps to myself mostly (got to get through that backlog of novels I have) but I like to cook and try new recipes from time to time. Mostly like to give people their privacy, but I'm also always up for a good chat or an adventure if you are. I operate well in a tidy environment so I like to keep things nice and clean. Hoping to team up or flat share with other fellow female students.
WE ARE ONLY AFTER WHOLE UNITS, NO SHARED FLAT. We have been living in Melbourne for the last year. At the moment I work part time and I am an RMIT Masters student. We plan to stay until the end of the year and probably extend if possible. We are extremely clean and quiet, this is the reason why we are looking for our own place.
Hey, I've been in Melbourne since March, currently house sitting in Clifton Hill but will be giving the house back mid sept. I work full time in hospitality. Love cooking, and the odd glass of wine. Very chilled out person, not looking for a party house. I'm respectful and clean up after my self. Like meeting new people, and hearing new stories! Look forward to hearing from you. :)
Hello! we have just moved to Melbourne from sunny Brisbane. What were we thinking you might say... we are looking for a place to call home to enjoy the beautiful, albeit freezing city of melbourne. We are down here for work in professional fulltime jobs (Monday and Friday). We are looking for a furnished room so we can try put melbourne before more permanently calling it home. We have been together for 10 years, we love travel and have now lived in 4 Australian cities. We are responsible, independent and well house trained. We enjoy cinema, yoga, bush walking, music and gardening. When we're not at work our exploring our new city, we enjoy cooking a meal, having a wine and netflix. We look forward to meeting new people, but respect housemates space and privacy and are more than happy to do our own thing.
Hey! I'm Jimena. I just moved back to Melbourne and I'm looking for a friendly place to live close to the city. I'm keen to hang out or just chill with my housemates but I also respect personal space. Feel free to contact me if you have a spare room I could be interested in! :) (P.s. I'm 36 and have full time job, one casual job and am also studying online, my 3rd degree because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment! I enjoy music (I go to gigs a couple of times a week),also talking politics, I loooove cooking, and I spend a fair bit of time juggling study / Netflix binging / reading, sometimes all at once. I'm pretty experienced at the houseshare thing - I clean up after myself, pull my weight, and pay what's due on time. I also have a cat, or a sloth. Depends on the day. She's a 10 year old rescue cat and is the most inactive and passive thing ever, she's also my mate.
Hi! We're a couple who are new to Melbourne. We're hoping to find a room to share for 6-8 weeks while we get settled. I'm studying winemaking while also working in wine retail. Oliver is studying software engineering and is a bartender at a music venue. We've both lived in share houses for 9-10 years so we're very well house-trained. We're clean, tidy and never have any trouble paying bills on time. We're equally happy to hang out with housemates or do our own thing. We're not party animals - we're much more into enjoying good food and wine than getting rowdy. I have a lot of diverse interests - cooking, sport (especially cricket), cinema (especially foreign and independent films), music, camping and hiking, history, learning new languages, etc. I'm a bit of a trivia buff and will never say no to a pub trivia night. I'm also very open to meeting new people and trying new things. Oliver's into sports (particularly cricket and AFL), fitness, music, web dev and puppies.
Hey, my name is Simon but all my friends call me Chilli (so you can too) Im 29 and just moved to Melbourne from Brisbane and currently room sitting until the 8th August! So he's a little bit about me; Im currently working full time at Melbourne Central, I'm quite sociable, friendly and easy to talk to, love going out for a beer or 2 (or more haha) but also enjoy a night in with some takeout and movies. I usually make bad jokes from time to time but it all makes it funny in the end. Im clean and tidy and love to cook (so you'll get someone with amazing cooking skills as a roomie). I also produce electronic music and hoping to set up my little studio in the room. I'm hoping to get a rad place with even radder roommates (nawww). So if you're interested, swing me a message and we can chat some more - hope to hear from you soon! :)
Hey guys! I am from Mumbai, India and will be studying information technology at the University of Melbourne this July. I am looking for a furnished private room in a share house. I have been living in a hostel for the past 4 years and am very comfortable sharing an apartment with others. I am excited to meet people from all over the world and get a chance to learn about their culture. I am an animal lover and a vegan, however, have no problems with you having non-vegetarian food at the apartment. I love to read non-fiction, listen to jazz and am always up for a cold beer.
I am currently in the process of moving from Sydney to Melbourne for a 10 month secondment role at my workplace starting in the first week of August. I'd like to be moved into Melbs and be settled into a new place to call home by the end of August. I am employed as a full time manager. I work hard, so I can be exhausted after a long day but I don't mind sharing a meal, a story or two with a drink, before retreating to my room either to work or for some well deserved, quiet "me time" Whilst my family is based in Melbourne, my friends are in Sydney. So I plan to make new friends, check out the sights and some social scenes on weekends. Of course, hang out with the folks. Whilst I wouldn't mind a good friend over to chill occasionally, I'm not the type to invite a party over. I am reliable, respectful, house trained and excellent at paying my bills on time. I've been renting and maintaining a two storey townhouse for the last 8 years on my own. So I will be honest, it's been a while since I've shared...But have a squeaky clean payment history. I am looking for a place with my own unfurnished large room for my things, my own off street parking (pref undercover) for my car and ensuite bathroom. Looking for a place that is clean, modern and in a well built up bustling area. Water pressure will be tested upon inspection ;) Any room with my own outdoor access will be a bonus and highly considered! Internet access is simply a must. If you think you have the place for me in the areas that I've mentioned or similar areas, please contact me with the suburb, the room specs and the cost of living. Thanks, Dee
A full-time student living in Melbourne for nearly three years. I love watching TV shows, but I've never watched Game of Thrones (I know, please, don't judge me). I also like to go out sometimes with friends and I really love music!!! Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I am Brazilian, so It's a great opportunity for you learn a bit more about new cultures :)
Im a 20 years old colombian girl. Im moving to Molbourne the first week of August, so I need to find a place to live with another Colombian friend who is already living Melbourne. We are looking for a furnished apartment for the two of us with tow bedrooms.
My name is Alba, I'm 22, half Spanish half German but was born in the Netherlands. In September I'll be starting an internship at Tesla so I'm looking for a permanent place to stay for about 6 months (from 20 August onwards). I'm really easy going and neat, I love cooking, sports and going out for a wine or coffee in town and I'm always down to try out new things. But, I also enjoy locking myself in my room every now and then and binge watching series haha.. Would love to find a room in shared house near the centre or in East Melbourne, with people who like doing things together every now and then but also do their own thing. Hit me up!
Seeing all that this great city has to offer! Interests include cycling, rock climbing, gigs, beer, wine & cheese. Grew up in Canada & lived in California for a bit before moving to Melbourne.
I'm a Southern Californian native born and raised, have the greenest of thumbs, and the literal definition of a jack of all trades. Ain't nothin I can't do! Got my BA in Radio, TV, and Film, owned my own business for a while before moving to Japan for 4 years to teach English. I love-love-LOVE languages. Aspiring to be a true polyglot. I'm currently a bartender and I LOVE it (my one cool trick is pouring rainbow shots, so heeeeey), and I'm on a work and holiday visa for the foreseeable year (get into Melbourne on August 10th). Looking to find someplace to call home, not do the backpacker thing. I'd love to stay long term somewhere, just put in 3 months to give me wiggle room for snatching up a job. I'm no stranger to the city, spent a few weeks there in the summer about 3 years ago. LOVE it. As a Californian, I know all about fire season and droughts, so no worry about being Eco-conscious here! I'm clean, organized, and very self-aware. I highly respect quiet and alone time, but love a few beers and a night out, or sharing a home-cooked meal (I like to bake...I hope you like to eat). My go-go dancing days in Osaka might be behind me but I still know how to have fun, whether in a group dynamic or by myself. If you wanna settle in for a movie night or board games I'm SO there! I've just learned how to make a mean egg foo young, and my butt has a costco card so heeeeeey ya'll live-in bartender with perks here! :D **My one caveat for full-disclosure: I haven't entered the country yet so I'll be coming in without a job (obviously, though I'm working on that on this end) but I'm bringing enough cash with me to give me wiggle room while I look (we're fine and dandy for a while folks!) but I'm hoping to find full-time employment either bartending... or just anywhere to make a wage! :D I -am- concerned about signing longer leases (just planning for the worst) in case it's impossible to find employment and I have to credit-card a plane ticket back home like a failure-face. Though if I hit the pavement running then that shouldn't be a problem! Just wanted to get that out there, I don't feel cool not disclosing that :) Ideally I'd like to spend my entire visa year in one place to call home :) -Need a place with internet -Private, furnished room -Short stay (~4 weeks) with room to increase stay (I shouldn't sign a longer lease if I can't find employment first, right? :D Hell if you know a place hiring then I'm down to sign a year lease!) I've been around, held all kinds of jobs, have all kinds of hobbies, and love all kinds of people. I'm animal-friendly and super easy-going; also open to more places than those general suburbs I've listed, and willing to pay more on rent if bills and internet are included, just an FYI. :) If you think we'd get along then I'd love to be your housemate! :) Any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm an open book :)
Hello! I'm looking for a new place to call home. I'll be completely honest in saying I've recently broken up with my partner and it's time to find a new abode. I'm 28 years old, live a pretty low key lifestyle, and love all that the inner north has to offer. Im very friendly, clean and respectful, and very well versed in living with mature adults. Im half introvert, half extrovert, very easy to live with and non-intrusive. In my spare time you'll find me cruising markets and op shops, watching documentaries and drinking tea and the occasional glass of wine. I also love to sew, although I think I spend more time fantasying about being a great sewer than I do actually sewing. I work as an Exec Assistant, and generally work from home part of the week. I've studied counselling, although admittedly I'm in the midst of questioning that decision. If you're easy going, friendly, conscious of the environment, not a huge party animal/house and are looking for someone who you're willing share your home with, so it can also become mine, get in touch, I'd love to hear from you :)
Hey guys I'm Andrew, 23, and currently studying Comm Design/Business and working in retail. Pretty laid-back kinda guy, with most of my time spent either studying or working, but do love going out for the occasional drink/boogie with mates or just staying at home endlessly watching Netflix comedy specials. Other exciting interests include cooking (am veg so basically just add truffle oil to everything and it comes out pretty decent; just waiting for the day that stroke takes me down), reading, travelling and music. I've lived in share-housing previously so am respectful of any and all living expectations you may have! I've also been living by myself for the past couple of years so I'm pretty used to cleaning/tiding up on a regular basis. I'm only at uni once or twice a week but then usually work the remaining days or catch up with mates so wouldn't be home a whole lot during the day, except when I have folios due, then I will transform into an unidentifiable land mammal that lives solely off of grain waves and vino, its genuinely fascinating how I survive through it. I'm not too fussed about the people I'd be living with, besides the usual trustworthy and reliable qualities anyone would want! Being hilarious is a bonus but even just the occasional good tv quote will be sufficient (if its from Veep then there's soul mate potential right there). Pretty terrible with these descriptions so feel free to message if you've got any other questions !
Hi everyone! I'm looking for something furnished and short-term for three months up until the end of October as my summer plans are uncertain. I'm happy to look at subletting for shorter periods between now and end of Oct too, so please get in touch if this is you! I'm flexible as to area but I need to be near public transport. I don't have a car, but somewhere safe to lock up my bike would be great! I'm Australian, currently studying a Master degree full time at RMIT and working part time. In my spare time I like hiking, cycling and dancing. I'm friendly and considerate of flatmates. I love travelling and I've seen a lot of the world and have lots of flatmate experience! (Before coming to Melbourne I lived in Peru, Chile, UK, Ireland...) I don't watch much TV but I watch a few docos and the occasional movie or footy match. I prefer to live with people who are environmentally-conscious. Any questions just get in touch! Thanks for reading :)
My name is Dan and I am 25 year old who works full time in the city in sales. Looking for a new place to live as my current share house in Northcote has come to an end with everyone going their separate ways. I enjoy all normal 25 year old male activities surfing, footy, camping, movies, travel, the usual. On weekends you'll find me in a cafe, at the footy, a bar or down the coast (when its warm enough). I am a social person and always looking for something fun to do. Looking for like minded people and to hopefully make some new friends in the process.
