I'm self-employed as a consultant/writer and work from home a lot on my computer. I'm friendly and interested in others but also keep to myself and prefer a quiet space but also enjoy ambient music, which you'll find me listening to a lot on my iPod while typing away at my computer. I'm clean, reliable and flexible with use of space. I often do my own cooking during the day if a housemate is out working to free up the kitchen when they get home. Happy to sit & chat over a meal some nights and happy to help in the garden etc. Have lived in share houses much of my life with friends/relationships or have done housesitting/granny flat living on my own in various suburbs around Melbourne, so am responsible and organised, and when socialising tend to meet up with people outside the house. Despite all the moving around, I am quite a settled person and into health, wellbeing, meditation, yoga etc.

We are responsible, clean and easy going. We don't smoke. We are very interested in meeting new people and live a unique experience during these 5 months in Australia. Elodie & Vincent :)
I'm a 27 year old engineer from Ireland working in the process of beginning full time work in Melbourne. Easygoing and adventurous, I was backpacking solo all around south east Asia for the last 6 months before I arrived in Melbourne. When I'm not at work I'm most likely chillaxing, socialising, playing sport or in the gym.
Hey future flatmates , I'm Michel, 19 years and from Germany. I just arrived in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. After a a lot of sightseeing and surfing, I realised I defiantly want to spend some more months in town. So thats the reason why I'm looking for a flat. Not only to spent some good moments in it and enjoying Melbourne to the fullest, but rather to have a place to sleep and eat. Besides the good vibes, my plan is to work the majority of the week, to earn some money, to go on traveling the world. Most importantly I need a room as soon as possible. About myself: I'm a open minded person that likes to try everything possible, to meet new people and going with the flow of life. Always friendly and treats every human being with respect. Loyal, peaceful, loving and reliable. Love to have a drink and a good deep talk with a lot of curiosity what the world has to offer.
I'm clean, easy going and am independent but like to have friendly, clean housemates that like the occasional cup of tea/ drinks/ meals together when timing suits :) I've been sharing houses since I was 18 in different countries and am very adaptable. Looking for a new place long term but happy to start with 6 months also. Looking strictly in the areas listed below. The "About me" section isn't displaying correctly but I have only selected "Working full time" so if you see any others, likely due to some bug (?) on this.
I love music, art and going out for a boogie with friends! I often frequent the festival scene, doing various work and volunteering for events and music festivals! I am looking for a place with compassionate people who enjoy life and creating important connections with others! If you want a house mate that will tell you stories till the sun comes up and pat your head then I'm your gal! (I am also neat and tidy and all of those good things)
I'm a 24yo health professional who is moving to Melbourne at the end of April for a job at a Hospital. I am a very active and social person. I enjoy swimming, cycling and running. Then I also really enjoy going out for dinner / drinks when I can. I am also studying part time (in my spare time). I have been living in Cairns for the past 2 years, but am originally from Perth. So looking for people who can give me pro-tips on Melbourne life! Looking for a sociable household to move into, where people hangout when they're around and then also respect each others space too.
Hey everyone, I've just come back from working a construction project in Sydney and am looking to move into a new place asap. Ideally looking at the inner south east suburbs such as South Yarra, Prahran, St Kilda, CBD etc. I'm looking for a fun place household where everyone actually hangs out, have a few drinks together and has a bit of banter at least! Looking around the $200-250 range I'm currently working in the management of maintaining various rental properties, whilst also working on completing my Bachelor of Commerce/Law. I'm a outgoing friendly 24 year old that has lived and worked all over Australia and the globe. Im really into my fitness and the gym, love being outdoors and anything to do with adrenaline, travel, festivals etc. Very clean individual and always happy to lend a hand. Would also be requiring parking as I do have a car. Thanks ✌️
Hey, my name is Lucy and I'm from England (middle of). I have recently moved to Melbourne permanently. I am a primary school teacher and love sunshine including sunsets and sunrises if I'm up! I'm a big food lover and enjoy cooking and would like to sometimes take turns to cook for each other but it's not essential if you are not a fan of cooking ha! I really enjoy yoga and would like to do it more than once a week so I can improve. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. I enjoy music, particularly live music. I am an animal lover but I don't have any of my own unfortunately. I hope this has given you a little insight about me :-)

I don't smoke and have no pets. I have some furniture/house stuff but nothing I'm particularly attached to so I'm happy to pass it on if it's not needed. I've been sharehousing for years, so I'm really dependable and respectful of others. My move in date is flexible. If you want to now anything more, feel free to send me a message! Rebecca

Weekdays: 9-5 work at Swinburne as a learning technologist. Some evenings I'll go to dance class or catch up with friends over a dinner/wine. Weekends: Getting out of the city, walks/hikes, scuba diving, camping, adventures etc. I am definitely have a work-to-live mentality and I treasure my weekends. I also like going out for the odd drink/night out dancing with the girls. I like cooking a lot, and I take my kitchenware very seriously. I am in a furnished house at the moment so I won't bring furniture but I will contribute some nice kitchen knives and other kitchen items. My wishlist for a house includes tidy and genuine roommates, an indoor toilet (I know this from experience), and a gas stove top (ideal but not necessary). Other than that I'm pretty relaxed. I hold my weight around the house in cleaning, purchasing shared items like toilet paper, cleaning products, etc. My move in date is flexible, but If I get on the lease now, I may stay only for a night or two for the first few weeks.

I am willing to move in ASAP and rent budget is somewhere around 200$ pw but can be negotiable based on other factors.
I'm a 25 year old female, I have a beautiful dog called Alfie. He's a Yorkshire Terrier and is 4 years old. I've been out of home since 17 so am well and truly house trained. I have furniture so if you have a place that is unfurnished that would be amazing but if not, I can always put it in storage. I work full time and don't do much on my weeknights. On weekends I like to catch-up with friends and hang out with my dog. Let me know if you have any questions!
Just moved to Melbourne from the UK, looking for somewhere to stay for 4-6 weeks while i get settled in. I'm easy-going, friendly and super tidy, very easy to live with! I'm always up for a chat over a glass of wine in the evenings if that's your thing :)
Hello, I'm a Melbourne boy that loves his footy and works full-time as an electrician. I'm a laid back, easy going person that loves to socialize as much as possible. I value my privacy and will be totally respectful of yours. I'm a clean and tidy person and have a lot of furniture I can provide for a team-up option. I'm currently house sharing at the moment but the lease is due to expire at the end of April. If the right match pops up I am happy to move a few weeks early. I have a company car with a lot of tools so I'm looking for somewhere with reasonably secure parking. Looking at doing a bit of traveling at the end of this year/beginning of next so a 6-12 month lease would be ideal. If you'd like to know more feel free to send me a message.
Hi there, my name’s Angie. I'm 25, working full time, and looking to move closer to work. I’m a high school teacher, so I promise we'll never run out of stationery (I hope you like stickers!). I'm very sociable, but also value my personal space and time, and ideally, I’d like to live with someone who feels the same, but would be up for the occasional coffee or Netflix binge with wine. I am a self confessed nerd, and love movies, books and games, I come with a PlayStation, and maybe a few board games. I am not opposed to pets and especially love cats. I'm a non-smoker, and I train at a gym about 5 times a week. Please feel free to message me if you think we’d get along!
I'm a 22 year old New Zealander working full time in management at a popular women's fashion store. I'm fun, tidy, mature, social and a great cook! I'm looking for a room to rent, long term, preferably in the Prahran, Windsor, or South Yarra area. I've lived away from home since I was 18 so I am familiar with keeping shared areas tidy as well as my own personal area in order too. I enjoy going to the gym, reading, cooking, baking, and having a couple of drinks and dinner with friends.
I introduce myself, my name is Maxime i am 20, i am new in Melbourne, here for 6 months so i'm looking for nice flat mates ! I work full time in a restaurant located in the CBD. Hi, My name is Medina Huzejrovic I'm 33 years old; work part-time as an Engineer for Wagstaff Piling while completing Masters in Engineering. I am of Eastern European descent (Russian/Bosnian) - was brought up to be courteous, kind and considerate also VERY tidy and clean :) I am very family orientated and treat my friends as if they were family - i believe in caring for one another so ideally i am looking for a household which represents those principles. I am very much into keeping fit and healthy (i was a gymnast prior moving to Australia) so now i practice a lot of Pilates and Yoga plus the occasional run. LOVE quality nutrition and yummy wine :) But i am not a great cook - however, am always wanting to learn. I would like to join a sharehouse-hold that cares and respects one another. For some, this may sound all too serious, however of course like most of us i like to socialise and party. I was very much in the party scene nowadays it's the occasional night out - love seeing live music, festivals and occasionally hit up the nightclub dance floor Currently, i am living in Brunswick thus am looking to stay local - am available most afternoons/early evenings after work to inspect and meet the occupants; feel free send me an SMS with link to property and your availability - if interested.
I'm easy going, energetic, and approachable Incredibly clean and respectful. Love socialising, whisky, and going out to comedy/art/music festivals In my spare time I do a lot of sport, gym and photography great at making cocktails too ;)
Hey future flatmate! I am an exchange architecture undergrad student at Monash Uni from Israel. I am a very clean, organized and responsible person. I really enjoy cooking (ask my friends, they'll say it's even tasty) and I'd love to have a good social night out with friends, drinking beer and grabbing a bite. I also like to have a good mind-clearing run, a hike in a new environment, and appreciate most types of music for all kind of moods. I'm looking for a furnished bedroom for myself, preffered with a private bathroom, to spend around 3-4 months here.
Helloooo, I'm Sarah, a French girl who lived in London for the past ten years. I arrived in Melbourne on the 2nd of February and have a full time job. Therefore, I really would like my own room. I've stayed in hostels since I arrived but it's absolutely not convenient. Ended up with party people or dirty people. Had to change hostel due to fully booked after a week, etc. I love cooking, listening music and learning new things, especially different cultures. I like seen my friends and going for a drink every now and then but always considered home as home and not a party place. If agreed within the flatmates maybe at times something can be arranged though... ;-) I LOVE swimming so I'm glad there is a beach in Melbourne!! I would love you to give me the opportunity to meet you so you can judge if I'll be a good flatmate for you. Looking forward to hear from you. Regards, Sarah

I'm a fully qualified chef and Finished study at Perth and thinking about moving to Melbourne with my lovely 15 yrs old daughter who is not you think as usual in her ages. She can do everything included cooking, laundry, cleaning the house so I'm sure you are lucky to live with us that my current housemate said to me. At the moment I am just planning to visit Melbourne around 5/04-15/04 for further possibility of living in Melbourne. If you have a room for me please let me know. Thank you
We are Anya and Javier. I'm an ESL teacher, originally from California. I LOVE my career. I also love yoga, and plan to do my teacher training later this year. I used to teach pole dancing too, but it's so expensive to keep up training in Australia, so I haven't actively done that for ages. Now I'm studying massage in the CBD and have class once a week at the weekend. Javier is from Spain; he's a chef by trade (and makes some pretty boss dishes), working at a nice seafood restaurant in CBD. He's also doing a BA in video game design! He's already created his own dice-strategy board game. He's really creative and is constantly working on designs. We like to be social with our flatmates, but we also like to have our time just for us. Javi and I are both gone during the morning / afternoon Monday through Thursday (Myself at work, him at school). He works a few nights during the week and works weekend nights as well, so we haven't got too much time to spend together during the week. When we're at home, we like to cook dinner (he cooks, I clean), watch Netflix, play games (our collection of games in Australia is slowly growing), and read. We are NOT huge partiers. I am, however, a member of a wine club and order a case of wine every couple of months. I am often down to share a glass of wine and a chat. We're also keen to go to the cinema or go read in a park. Both of us love to be around nature. We're also divers, so we like to find time to explore the ocean when we can. We're in Australia for a few more years, so we'd like to find a place that is our HOME, not just a place to live.
I'm a 22 year old student from California, who is in Melbourne on a working holiday visa. Last year I studied abroad at UniMelb, and I loved this city/country so much that I've decided to move back here for a while. I'm very easygoing, openminded, and respectful. I'm also tidy, but I don't mind if others aren't as tidy as me. When I'm not working I'll be home be relaxing, cooking, making/drinking tea, or re-watching Stranger Things on Netflix. I enjoy socializing, but I would NOT like to live at a place that throws parties (drunk people break things). I don't smoke, but I don't mind if you do. My schedule is quite flexible, and I'm willing to build a schedule that works with your schedule to make things easier. I love dancing, exploring the city, music, animals, socializing, and food (especially asian food). Also, I like to perform music/comedy, I consider that my passion.
Well I am a proud Australian citizen that has just hit some hard times, have been made to move with little time to organize any proper arrangements, I work full time just on Queen Street! Would love to be local but am pretty flexible! I have no problem taking my fair share of the load in any kind of cleaning and cooking! Want to just have a good chat or binge watch some shows? Im your guy! Im just looking for anywhere i can stay for a while to get some funds together for my own place! I am one of the easiest going guys and have a new hobbie every week! This is an opportunity for me to step out into the world as independently as i can!
I am a chilled out person. Into meditation, running and yoga etc. I like freestyle dancing. I am a professional in the IT field. I am mostly vegan. I like to hangout with friends, watch comedy shows on the internet, cook a little for myself. I tend to prefer organic stuff over artificial and chemical stuff. I am originally from India but last 10 yrs have been overseas including UK, Sydney and now Melbourne.
I'm 20 years old and have been living in Melbourne for a little over 2 years now. I've just started studying at ACU and looking to move from my current sharehouse with one other person, to a larger house with more likeminded people and a place with any size private outdoor area so that I can sit with some plants and a cool breeze. I like to be alone and in company at all different times in the day. Always happy for a chat or to be completely avoided. I like to play music or be listening to be music at pretty much all times of the day, currently on my playlist is Moose Blood, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer... An important part about sharing a home with others is to have all the shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom, living room) respected by being kept clean and tidy for everyone else. I am not happy to have the dishes be left for 2+ days, benches not wiped down, floor not swept + mopped regularly, rubbish and personal belongings just left laying around for 2+ days. I also find it important to be free to invite people over when you like, for a casual setting, but if there's going to be lots of people + noise, this should be discussed and organised so no one is caught off guard. It is important to me to be living in an LGTBQI+ friendly household, occasional 420 friendly household, walking around in our underwear friendly household, kitchen dance party friendly household and a listens to everyones stories friendly household.
Hi ! I just arrived 4 days ago in Melbourne and I will stay at least 2 months. I'm looking for a friendly apartment and not too quiet because I like to live with differents nationalities and discover other cultures. I would like to stay in the CBD or just around because currently I'm looking for a job. Thank you so much :)
We are friendly, sociable girls from Newcastle, England looking for a flat to rent for up to 6 months within Melbourne and the surrounding areas. Hi, I'm Marla, I'm a science student and a trans woman. I love to cook (and I'm not too bad at it) and I think good communication is the best thing in a house. Whether housemates are social or private, neat or messy, making sure we can communicate clearly and openly about the house means things can always be settled and run smoothly without any bitterness, stress or inconvenience. When I'm not studying, I like women's sports, card games and watching shows with friends.
My name is Daniel, I am 27 years old, I study a Masters degree in RMIT and work half-time in Starbucks. I am from Mexico. My main occupation is studying, I also like to do exercise (once in a while I like to jog and play tennis with the RMIT club!). I am a friendly and easy-going person, I am respectful of personal space, I like to cook once in a while.
Hello future housemates my name is Maria just currently finished my diploma in beauty therapy and now currently working for Endota. I am a very social person love the company of people but I do understand people need there space to chill and relax by them selfs. Hobbie include taking photos, shopping, hanging out with friends and of course going out to eat. Love a good burger or pizza ! I occasionally like to go for a good walk or do some exercising to stay healthy. Just want to live closer to the city because I am finding it hard traveling to get to work from where I am livin at the moment. I am working almost full time hours so won't be home during the day unless I have a day off. I am just looking for a place where I can get along with my housemates.
Hi there, My name is Vincent and I'm currently looking for a new place in Fitzroy North. I've recently finished a lease in Preston and I'm looking to move somewhere closer to where I work. I'm currently working as a casual orderly at Epworth Hospital Richmond, but I'm also a freelance writer on the side. I'm a friggin' great housemate to live with because I'm super easy to get along with me. Trust me, if you're not a racist, homophobe, sexist, sycophant, narcissist or a generally obnoxious person then this should be a piece of cake. I'm also a peach to live with. I'm fairly tidy and organised and (most of the time) have my shit together. Most of the time I'll either be reading, worsening my persistent vertigo with loud music or out and about at some generic non-descript location. Either way, I'm a breeze to live with. But most of all, I love meeting new people. Including you. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers.
